2001  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should I accept Bitcoin for payments on my online store? on: November 07, 2020, 08:40:31 PM
I'm considering to possibly add Bitcoin and other altcoins as a way to pay for goods purchased on my online store.

Is this a good idea? Are there any risks (other than the volatility)?

Is anyone really going to use this?

I'm afraid that my customers may not be much into cryptos, but I guess that it's hard to tell until you try ...
I also have some doubts on the technical side.

Thoughts?

Thanks in advance

-Accepting bitcoin in your online store is actually a good idea, users will have a more payment option.

-potentially a risk in your business since most of the time you need to hold your bitcoin, and in a business, you need that money. You could lose profit if you need cash in your business and need your gonna sell your bitcoin.

-Most of the customer is gonna use cash or other payment that is more reliable than bitcoin, and personally, I think bitcoin is better in investment not for buying something.

-Transaction fees and confirmation time could be a big issue.

2003  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How can bitcoin be made easy? on: November 07, 2020, 07:17:28 PM
My question and also contributions is,Some class of human still find it difficult to understand what bitcoin is, Some have bitcoin in there wallet but they don’t understand it, Those kind of bitcoin can easily be scammed by using bitcoin. If there will be a means of understanding bitcoin more better will provided I think they will not be scam on bitcoin, because You can only be scammed on what you don’t know.We have to share our ideas together and think of a better thing to do if any issues of such arise.

Let's just say that most of the time easy bitcoin profit is a scam because it's not really easy to earn bitcoin and it's probably a lot of work.

Having an investment is a good thing and let's say could be an easy profit if you are lucky earning with a high volume of investment and market price is also pumping, but also it has a high risk since market price could also go dump at any time.

I think with enough skills you could do work for bitcoin and I think we can consider that as an easy profit for someone who has skills.
2004  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: CHRISTIAN ALBERT GAZA a.k.a "Xian Gaza" Introduce his own coin on: November 06, 2020, 10:34:27 PM

2005  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency Online Casinos on: November 06, 2020, 09:54:21 PM
Wondering what you guys think about cryptocurrency casinos operating via the blockchain?

I know gambling is one of those topics some want to avoid, however as crypto is so volatile is anyone getting into it somehow gambling already?
Most cryptocurrency casinos are claiming to be running on the Provably Fair system, seeds are confirmed by you, unlike standard casinos which are confirmed in the back end and can therefore be rigged!

Other Casinos such as trustdice are offering free TXT tokens each time you play, others are now accepting debit and credit card payments to buy tokens directly without the need to head to coinbase, register, deposit, and send etc

What are your thoughts around this?

If you think about it, it is really difficult to trust a gambling website, maybe they could easily mess up the code of the system or something.

But one thing is for sure where playing into gambling websites is always risky sometimes you win and sometimes you lose, Scam gambling websites is not gonna survive if there is no users winning.

Also, I think adapting to cryptocurrency is a good thing for gambling casinos, the difference is just huge from a physical casino in my opinion.

2007  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think is the biggest disadvantage of bitcoin? on: November 05, 2020, 09:13:43 PM
We keep saying bitcoin is a nice currency, because of lots of reasons like deflation, freedom etc. There are times though that we find some kind of inconvenience on its use.

IMO, bitcoin has a huge disadvantage. The fee part. I've made a transaction 5 days ago with a charge of 500 satoshis (in total). That's pretty cheap and I set that fee because I'm transferring money to myself, but thinking that it may never be confirmed is kinda annoying. Based on bitinfocharts, the median fee right now is $7! I'm playing on an online trading card game that accepts only paypal, and I'm trying to convince them accept bitcoin. How exactly?? All those HODL enthusiasts look forward to see bitcoin touching the $100k. In order for this to happen, it means more demand. This leads to more transactions per second which also leads to higher fees. Who knows how many satoshis we'll have to pay for having a high priority among miners' choices.

Am I the only one that starts unseeing bitcoin as a medium of exchange?

-High transaction fees
-Long Confirmation time, the time is not fast enough for a direct transaction like for example if your buying in a physical store.
-Volatility, market price could go pump or dump in just a small amount of time giving a big risk to every investor.
-Adaptation? not yet adopt in most of the countries so pretty much you cant use it directly or needs to convert it first.
-decentralized, not really a disadvantage but this is the reason why bitcoin can only be an alternative to fiat money because in a certain country they can only trust a currency that they can regulate.

Still, bitcoin is under the adaptation process so we don't know what's gonna happened in the future, it might adopt or something could happen affecting it.

2012  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / ABS CBN Youtube account Hacked (Ripple scam giveaway) on: November 03, 2020, 10:07:33 PM
Trending ang pagkakaterminate ng youtube account ng ABS CBN ngayon but it turns out na isa nanaman itong hack similar kila Dogie na related sa cryptocurrency.

Screenshots:
https://www.facebook.com/jlumabi02/posts/160431955757632

Hacker bypass the 2FA:

Ang hackers ay maaaring makapagperform ng Spoofing attack/clone browser its like ginagaya ang IP address ng iyong computer kung saan nababy pass ang 2FA.

Kapag ang isang account ay nalog-in sa ibang lugar automatically natitriger ang ating 2FA for authentiication na rin dahil hindi nakikilala like for example sa facebook kaya nagaask ito ng question like 2fa or questions to verify na ikaw talaga ang naglog-in sa iyong account. But kung naspoof ang iyong IP address the 2FA authentication can be bypass, hindi natitriger ang 2FA kapag nasa IP adress ka ng iyong computer.

2015  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Spend or HODL Bitcoin during COVID-19? on: November 02, 2020, 06:47:06 PM
It seems that during these times of turmoil, Bitcoin's prices are increasing at a slow and steady rate. Since the mainstream economy has been on a downfall, people have been resorting to Bitcoin as a store of value. This gives Bitcoin "hodlers" greater spending power than before in terms of Fiat. You can now buy more things with Bitcoin than you did before COVID-19.

What would be the right thing to do during COVID-19? Should I spend Bitcoin or should I just "HODL" it? The more Bitcoin's prices increase on the market, the more tempting it is to spend one's Bitcoin holdings. But at the same time, you want to "HODL" your Bitcoin for the next ATH in price. What would you do?

Any advice, recommendations, or suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Smiley

That actually still depends on the people HODLing their Bitcoins since some users are victim of job loss and they are in need of fiat. Although this pandemic is a good time to invest on Bitcoin since more people have the opportunity to learn about it and they would also invest resulting in more buyers of Bitcoin. HODLing is for people who can live those easy lives and cashing out your Bitcoins is also a good idea if you really need that cash.

Preferably I would totally hold especially in the times of pandemic since it's hard to earn money at this time and most of the people lost their jobs because businesses are close.

I mean holding is always recommended at all times, but still, the decision is up to the one who holds the bitcoin at definitely depends on your own situation.

For some investors, this pandemic could be an emergency so we could really blame them if they need to sell their holdings at times like this. Still, just make sure that you are making a small or big profit whenever you are going to sell your investments.
2016  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: Dalawang pekeng MEW sa Google Store on: November 01, 2020, 10:15:55 PM

2017  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Follow your mind! on: November 01, 2020, 09:31:42 PM
There are so many costly mistakes investors make that may be regrettable. Such as
1. Borrowing money to invest
2. Greedy expectations in reward
3. Total reliance of people's opinion. Among many others.
My emphasy is the third. It is good to listen to people opinions but not all opinion counts. Many here just make confident predictions that has no base, go to prediction topics in our bitcointalk to confirm this.and you know how painful it is when you lose just on someones prediction. It is better you follow your mind during investment and bear the consequencies thereafter.

-Borrowing money is not a good practice when investing in cryptocurrency since losing your investment would just make it worst, but if you already have funds at then still loaning money to invest is a different story.'

-Being greedy is just the number one problem that every newbie should overcome and realize that earning is profit is not easy.

-It's kinda normal to depend on someone's opinion, I mean we kinda take everyone's opinion here in the forum depending on their rank. But the decision is still on us, the market is still a gamble so someone's opinion could be a jackpot and sometimes not. No one literary fully depends on someone's opinions if they are only one person telling you about it, it is more like the more people the higher chances.
2018  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: COVID-19 Related Scams on: November 01, 2020, 08:48:07 PM

2019  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: American election is nothing to do with BTC on: November 01, 2020, 08:14:47 PM
One of the famous analyst say American election is nothing to do with BTC. Well that's the spirit I would say as top rated crypto currency may not be impacted whoever wins the American election, also he says the value may go up till the end of the year. Is BTC still giving opportunity for investment? What's your thought guys.

https://www.businessinsider.in/stock-market/news/bitcoin-doesnt-care-who-wins-the-us-election-it-will-rise-in-value-regardless-of-the-outcome-a-cryptocurrency-fund-chief-says/articleshow/78968900.cms

I guess I'm gonna agree with that, I don't think that the election is gonna affect the market price of bitcoin at all.

But at some point, I think there are still some factors that could affect something or we could say cannot affect bitcoin market price directly but still affects it. Also, we know that there are so many factors that are affecting the market price of bitcoin in the market.

The election might also affect the USD price but at the same time very small chances of affecting the market price of bitcoin depending on who wins the election.
