2001  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: veteranBtc, RTaki Scam (& majinx) on: June 16, 2013, 03:11:00 PM
I don't have any transaction ID because I've changed all my accounts!

Excellent, even Kruniac wouldn't have tried this one out.
Obvious scammer is obvious.
2002  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: If Bitcoin dies... what could I do with 50 GPUs? on: June 16, 2013, 02:35:40 PM
Erm, I think ASICs are going to make your GPUs worthless before something happens to Bitcoin.
2003  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: A new address for each transaction ? on: June 16, 2013, 07:47:43 AM
pywallet can delete addresses from your wallet. But you don't need to clean your wallet at all. Bitcoin will run fine even with tens of thousands of addresses. Also, instead of polling for transactions, consider using "walletnotify" to get instant notification of transactions.
It will indeed run fine, but it will take waay more time to load up. I am talking from experience, with a 200k address wallet.
2004  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Can we get this website to accept Bitcoin? on: June 14, 2013, 09:32:34 PM
The website is http://www.buyincoins.com and if they used Bitcoin(instead of the "We preffer Paypal") it would really match their name.
2005  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Is it possible to generate the same adress twice? on: June 14, 2013, 01:51:32 PM
In case one does, it's finders keepers so.

Personally I am importing the blockchain into a MySQL database and will be creating a list of bitcoin addresses with a balance of X coins that have not been touched in a long time, compile that list into a single file and run my CPU Address bruteforcer on it.

With my 30k list of addresses, I am generating about 800k addresses per second(even when comparing each and everyone of these 800k to the list)(on a single core). I am not even using any binary search trees.

If I were to port this code to a GPU, it would be orders of magnitudes faster. Hey, it may take a billion years to get a single address, but I am doing for the fun.
2006  Other / Off-topic / NSA's 5 Zettabytes farm? on: June 13, 2013, 08:25:13 PM
Wondering what you guys thought. According to the internetz, the combined hard disks in the world only amount to half a zettabyte.
2007  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why no one has the balls to make a new SHA256 ? on: June 13, 2013, 08:16:03 PM
Because itll just get asic bombed. How the fuck is that lacking balls? Thats called foresight.
I have one reason that won't happen.
2008  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why no one has the balls to make a new SHA256 ? on: June 13, 2013, 08:14:49 PM
I have to agree with OP. I saw so many scrypt/scrypt-jane coins that it's worse than SHA256 coins.

TwoCoin anyone?
2010  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Rare address hall of fame on: June 10, 2013, 07:24:30 PM
Well, I've been dying for a 1Rememberme or even 1RememberMe.
2011  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] USoin USC – The Coin for American| USC-Better than USD|Launched on: June 10, 2013, 07:23:00 PM
USoin or USCoin?
It's more likely it's USoin. Remember how those cheap chinese copies of mobile phones always have one letter missing or changed? Like Nakia or Samseng or even Motorilla.
2012  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Rare address hall of fame on: June 10, 2013, 05:22:48 PM
What constitutes a rare address?

Would a 1Remember be one?
2013  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How much is my 40k Ripple worth? on: June 10, 2013, 04:26:31 PM
Actually, 40k would get you over 7 bitcoins right now.
2014  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How much is my 40k Ripple worth? on: June 10, 2013, 04:21:10 PM
A few bitcoins actually. Around 5-6.

How do you know that? Where can I exchange them?
The process is a bit complex. But you'd need an account at bitstamp.net(the domain is correct, right?) and then an account in ripple.com(which you should have).

2016  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [OFFICIAL]Bitfinex.com first Bitcoin P2P lending platform for leverage trading on: June 09, 2013, 10:35:24 PM
I didn't have any positions open, but did anyone get affected with loans and stuff due to the price drop, and I mean in a bad way?
2017  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Weird Solo Mining Problem on: June 08, 2013, 08:06:45 PM
I have 1.3Mh/s .. should i try the expiry command?
Don't bother with that hashrate. You are mining with an Intel HD graphics card, your CPU or a slow Nvidia card. Point being it's not worth it.
Scrypt  Tongue
My mistake then, I guess I didn't read right.

2019  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Weird Solo Mining Problem on: June 08, 2013, 07:36:09 PM
Oh, ok. This problem is caused because cgminer gets new work every X seconds, depending on how long it takes for the device to scan the nonce space, and because solo mining(unless patched) has no Longpoll/Stratum.

So essentially, going at ~270-280Mh/s it will take about 15-16 seconds before cgminer gets new work, and the process repeats itself.

Haha, my keyboard is the same as OPs(hygiene-wise).
