However, if Arsenal wins, which means so much to them, that would make the difference 6 points, and if they win that extra game? Boy oh boy, that is 9 point difference. So this game means so much, it could be a City leadership, it could be Arsenal inching away to victory, it means so much.

Mendy our previous number one has been injuried for quite sometime now and the talks on the renewal of his contract isn't progressing on a positive note which means he's likely to depart in the summer so we're now in search of a replacement for him so we don't fall into the same situation of panic buying like we did in January which clubs take advantage of and increase the value of their players knowing we're desperate and will pay the fee.
Chelsea is undergoing a rebuild with a new owner that wants his own players and not those inherited from the previous owners. Chelsea is a big club in Europe and known to be big spenders so you don't expect them to get their players cheap. The 500+ millions we spent got us about 8+ players and not all are available for the season so when you look at it we didn't over spend. The quality of players that were bought are brilliant so it isn't a wasted investments. We just need a quality coach to get this boys playing well again, Graham Potter isn't giving the vibe the squad needs.
I "get" it, like there is no rush, but if you are going to end up getting one, isn't it silly to not get one inside that 500? Why know that you are going to need one eventually and buy players for other positions. I know that there is a "hope" for the team among the fans for the future, like yeah this year sucked but the team you built "looks" good so you may do better next year, just like how Newcastle sucked last year at first but then got the money and now they are good, you expect that. The year they lost to Lille was the year they followed that up with Messi and became so much better. I almost feel like if they end up losing this year, which they won't, then it would be even better for them because they may get some other new amazing players.

It seems like Chelsea's search of a goalkeeper will never end.  Because this time there are rumours like they are interested in the Brentford goalkeeper David Raya. However Chelsea still have contracts with Mendy and Kepa both for two more years now. I wonder what Potter is thinking about this situation. We don't even know if this is his idea. I don't think Chelsea's main problem is a goalkeeper now. They should focus on weak spots in the team first by creating some strategies for them. The fact that they spent 500+ million pounds on transfer and still saying that they are lacking a position is beyond funny to me. If you gave me 500 million pounds today, and gave me a team with zero players in it, I would have built you a team that had at least as much points as Chelsea, who knows maybe even better. Considering Melo hasn't played a single game this year, it's safe to say even he has accepted the fact that he is forced to retire. However, with the motion offense becoming more common, three pointers becoming more common and players defending a lot more on perimeter and need a lateral quickness, he is just a net negative these days at his age and that's normal, Wade retired a lot earlier than him when he realized that. So, it's normal for him at that age to retire. It's Lebron that is the unusual one, nobody should be playing that well at that age, dude is superhuman.

Two rather disappointing games yesterday. First it was Arsenal vs Brentford which I expected Arsenal to get a great win, and they didn't get the win but they also looked bad, Brentford somehow knows how to play against bigger clubs, and once again they got out of a big game with a point to show for it. I really expected Arsenal to win it, but that's fine.
Second was Newcastle vs Bournemouth, Newcastle really needed that win to keep up the first for top three spots and they lost to a team that is nearly at the very bottom, and that was unexpected and disappointing as well. All in all, I hope that next games are better so I can recover some of this loss somehow.
