the drought is over 😌

https://liquipedia.net/counterstrike/BLAST/Premier/2021/Fall

reminder that k0nfig and blameF will debut with Astralis,, es3tag will do so with NIP, match of the day for sure...i'm thinking of going with over maps in heroic - faze and Nip - astralis

That Natus Vincere vs BIG is going so sick right now. Not as in a tough match in display but Navi are totally dominating them in first map, 13-3 is the scoreline as I write this post but boy-o-boy they are coordinating as a team so well, its frightening actually. No doubt that they are the best team right now.

Astralis vs NIP is the match to look after, blameF and konfig are good players and great addition but watching Astralis without dupreeh and Magisk is so wierd right now. Legendary team falling bit by bit? What remains is now gla1ve and Xyp9x.

PSG fans believe Zinedine Zidane turning into their new manager is fast approaching with Mauricio Pochettino quick to take over at Man United. As Poch has passion to join Man United, I figure he can improve the situation for the club. I keep thinking about whether Pochettino can truly return them to their glory days. Let it happen according to sources. I wish Manchester united can just recruit Pochettino and PSG replace him by appointing Zinedine Zidane. Marca doesn't lie, what they claiming eventually are turning to deal done.

To me it seems pretty hard. He is managing a very good team right now and to leave it to join United where he has to improve players morale right now and strengthen the squad seems like a lot to do. He is currently managing a world class team and I don't think anyone would leave such a job unless there is some solid reason like some unsettlement with board and so but right now to me this news of Pochetinno to prefer Man job seems a bit harder pill to swallow.

Zidane- made it clear already that he will take break from taking any managing jobs.
Brendan Rodgers- No chance, he is very happy with Leicester. (as i feel)
Luis Enrique- He already denied managing Barcelona and said he is happy with managing Spain football team only.

Just got a notification that EPL Fantasy promotion Beat Steve has ended. Shame that it ended quickly but I am sure sportsbet had their reasons for ceasing the promotion. Well anyway it was fun while it lasted.

Thanks @sportsbet.io for running such a great promo.

Inter leading 2-1 against Napoli after 1st half. What can we expect from 2nd half ? I think both teams will score again and somehow Napoli will manage to make a draw. I'm tired to see sports journalists ignoring Napoli even if they're playing so good but all they can see is Inter and Milan ....so I do hope some karma will be on this game and at least a draw for Napoli will be possible.

3-1 for Inter and with the dominant display Inter are showcasing right now at the pitch I think Inter should win this easily. Doesn't feels like any surprise will come from Napoli now at this stage although I would say Napoli also had some good potential plays but Inter didn't allowed them to capitalize on that. Still Napoli might push hard if they get one more goal and make it near to draw if possible.

From Ole to Carrick, forgive me for spitting my drink out with laughter. We have to enjoy this whilst we can because unfortunately Man Utd are too big a club to continue being this much of a joke. When they finally get a top manager in they will start to do much better.

I still recall Liverpool fans chanting "Ole at wheel" to the United fan stands in their game against Liverpool just some weeks ago where they faced a humiliating defeat with 5-0 scoreline. Same happened yesterday and that too against an underdog. Since October, United are having series of humiliating defeats and someone with a massive scoreline. They have made absolute mockery of themselves. I also wouldn't blame Ole only, there are some players who needs to be taken action as well. It's a tough time for them, and wait it just doesn't ends here..they have yet to face Chelsea and Arsenal in next two gameweeks.  Cheesy

Just hearing Ole was sacked I'm already grateful, no matter what new coach they will take. But what is certain is that at least one of the diseases at Manchester United has been eliminated. Minimizing is much better, and from now on we just need a roster of coaches that fit and hopefully better than Ole.

With no one idle in the market it would be tough for Manchester United to appoint someone who is notable as a manager. They were trying too hard for Zidane but he has denied their offer as he wants to take rest from as a manager. Well there is Lampard who is free but I really doubt United would go for that nor there are news linking him to United management job. Anyway its now Carrick on the wheel and let's see how well he manages and improves the morale inside the squad.

An easy victory for Manchester City, the statistics are very different from the number of kicks that Man City has done more than Everton.
The points are still 3 points different from Chelsea but it will be even tighter to continue to compete.

The next match is Tottenham vs Leeds, this should be Conte's first win at some point after yesterday's draw by Everton.
Spurs are in the table 10 Antonio Conte should be able to make changes with Spurs, if still in trouble but I believe Conte can make changes in his strategy.

Manchester City went too well for them today. It was an easy match and City had good dominant display as mostly they do. Upcoming game against Spurs vs Leeds would be interesting as Conte would be looking for the first win as a manager and honestly I think Spurs have too much of quality in their squad and Leeds are not that tough as a opponent right now. Should be easy in my opinion for Spurs today but well lets see how it goes down today.

Humiliating scoreline for United. I am sure now that Ole is gonna be sacked...no second chances. United have crucial games ahead of them and changes should be brought down now. Lot of pressure is gonna pour down from frustrating fans to change manager and it's gonna go down.
2009  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: November 20, 2021, 03:49:35 PM
It looks like Manchester United will fall behind in this first half, as currently the score is 1-0 Watford lead. I think with a squad like that, at least Manchester United will find it easy to score an equaliser. But the fact is that until now entering the last minute, Manchester United still couldn't make the expected goal. If it's like this, then placing Ronaldo as the lone striker I don't think is the right strategy because at Juventus Ronaldo is also in the same position but it still makes it difficult to score goals for the team.

Score is now 2-0 as Sarr just scored for Hornets and it seems like a definite sack for Ole or board is still gonna give him more chances? This was the only match this whole month which everyone thought should United win but match went quite opposite. Now winning or equalising seems very difficult for United.
2010  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: November 20, 2021, 12:23:38 PM
Leicester City appeared with the main squad with Jamie Vardy as the lone striker in this match.

Rodgers is starting out with wingers Lookman and Barnes who can provide good counter and to assist Vardy in attacks. I think its a good lineup from Rodgers. Also Iheanacho and Patson Daka both are on bench but they can provide a good boost to squad coming off the bench in need so I think its gonna be a good contest. Only thing worrying is the injuries Leicester have right now in midfield. There is no key players in midfield so Rodgers is rooting in with the wing backs and Soumare and Ndidi in the middle to work things out for them.

The new coach and owner can't do anything before the transfer window opens it will be a challenge for the new coach with the existing squad
Agree with you usually a new coach will have a positive impact the motivation and spirit of the players will be different from usual so let's just see what will happen

Its a very tough job for team like Newcastle in this position as they have to do a lot of convincing to do in order to get some players from big teams. They have to give them their vision, target, idea, plans to achieve them. It's not easy to be honest. They might have pocket to pay up any big names but there are lot of players who usually go out into teams with a better squad and future. Right now I don't see none in Newcastle.

It is same like Chinese clubs, who have paid a lot in the past to bring in some big players who followed money but that didn't made Chinese clubs any better. They need to slowly build a squad , staff and so and I feel there is a long way to go.

Although there is still lot of time to put predictions in Super-7 (like a week or so) , I would advise to fill in predictions early as I saw the rule in some page that only 20,000 first entries will be taken or something (unable to get that page now). Just fill in the predictions early for now and make changes later as you are allowed to make changes.

Good luck everyone,  Cheesy

Also we have new managers fixture as well as Aston Villa now led by Steven Gerrard will be up against Brighton and Norwich led by former Aston Villa boss Dean smith will face Southampton.. so yeah couple of matches this weekend to look out for.
For me personally, the most interesting derby will be the match with Aston Villa. Not that I had high hopes for the return of injured players or I really liked Steven Gerrard, but this is his debut in the Premier League and I think he will not let the fans down. While he might have done like Zidane and not took the team under his wing mid-season, anyway this is one of those matches that I bet on with great enthusiasm.

For me, I actually want to see how he rolls out players and manages Aston Villa. Villa has some good players but under Dean Smith haven't made such a big impressions yet. Danny Ings, Watkins, Leon Bailey, Buendia- these all are players who had quite some records or contributions in their previous teams but yet to make good impact in Aston Villa. I personally think Steven Gerrard can make a very good use of them and this is the part why I am excited for Aston Villa.

Quite an interesting opener and I would like to see how Chelsea will play after their last unexpected draw against Burnley and of course the international break. They will be back on wins or Leicester will take some (if not all) points? Tongue

Honestly, I think it will be hard for Chelsea to find an opening without a proper striker but still you never know you might get lucky sometimes. Chelsea have strong wing backs and Tuchel have given them full license to try shots when they find a chance and who knows maybe one of them gets in.

The Peps have announced that Kevin De Bruyne has tested positive for the COVID-19 virus while in Belgium and that he will be quarantined for ten days. Manchester City's next 10 games will be against Everton, Paris Saint-Germain and West Ham respectively! The absence of Kevin De Bruyne is certain. Although that is bad news, Man City and Pep always have options. As far as I understand, City don't rely on individuals. City has performed better without him so far.

They have lot of players so I am certain that they don't find this worrying considering the fixtures ahead of them. Pep has done well to make players adapted to the attack-mid positions but yeah Kevin De Bruyne has immense quality and that would affect Pep as he will be down with one key option who puts so much into pitch with his leadership and quality. Well good news is someone will find a good chance to play here.

So after a long international break we are back again with PL action  Cheesy Cheesy . We have Leicester vs Chelsea as opener for this gameweek and we also have Liverpool vs Arsenal to keep eyes on. I am sure many would be looking into this as both teams are on quite some form but for Arsenal it would be real test as we all know how good Liverpool is right now and Arsenal so far have won against struggling teams.

Also we have new managers fixture as well as Aston Villa now led by Steven Gerrard will be up against Brighton and Norwich led by former Aston Villa boss Dean smith will face Southampton.. so yeah couple of matches this weekend to look out for.

According to reports,Arsenal are interested in signing Raheem Sterling from Manchester city by January. And report suggests that the player is a big fan of what Mikel Arteta is doing at Arsenal, and wants to be part of the build up.
It is also rumoured that the player will prefer a move to North London, over Barcelona FC,who have been trying to get him for some months now,and wanted to take him to camp nou. If Arteta is able to secure his signing by January,I believe Arsenal will really be up for tittle chase next season.
Raheem Sterling is a really really good player and if he joins Arsenal i might even think that Arsenal could do big things after that. I dont know if Barcelona can actully buy him with how big of a debt Barcelona is in. But if Arsenal secures this transfer it would be really big.
Signing Sterling will be a crucial step to strengthen Arsenal's squad and if the player really wants it, then this is a really strong move on the part of the club's management. Also, the fact that Barcelona wants to ask Sterling to receive half the salary than the 18 million he receives in Manchester City, trying to compensate for the rest with bonuses, can play in Arsenal's favor.  Another question is that the management of Manchester City does not seem to be going to let the player go in the next transfer window and is not going to consider offers for his transfer. And the player himself seems to have suspended all contract negotiations with the club in order to make sure of the importance of his person in the current Manchester City game model.

Question to you guys; Do Arsenal need a winger? I think Arsenal need central forward more than a winger right now. We have some young talents who can adjust to these positions if in need but right now Arsenal has more of a problem with aging forwards like Aubameyang and Lacazette than a winger and we can see that as Arsenal were reported by multiple credible sources that they are trying hard for Vlahovic so certainly they are right now looking more into a young central forward. As for Sterling, he can play the central forward as Guardiola had used him in those positions when they had players injured in that position but question is will he be effective? In City he wasn't much with central forward position.

Nowadays AC Milan's Champions League journey is not going so good as they are at the bottom of the group and they have played four matches lost three of them and drawn the last one. So they only have one point playing for matches. Things don't look good for them.

They still have some chance of making it but they have to put their best in the remaining matches but they have tough opponents upcoming in CL - Liverpool and Atletico so it's gonna be very very difficult for them. Honestly , it was a tough group actually but one would have hoped Milan to at least get wins against Porto at least but Porto also came out as a big surprise so yeah it was a tough group.
2018  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: November 18, 2021, 05:47:51 PM
For me in this match the odd is very low for Chelsea to win the match. I was expecting at least 2.25 or 2.10 for Chelsea to win. Leicester at home is very difficult to beat and they will need to very carefull from Leicesters counter-attacks,if they start going well Chelsea can easily lose this match.

Oh yeah they can be tough opponents sometime. They have been in bad performance since the PL start but they are a very good team and right now Chelsea are having problem as they are without a proper striker to keep on putting shots so not real much of tests for Leicester defense. I think odds is normal for this match. It is tough for Chelsea as well given how hard it was for them to get some more goals against Burnley in last match and the only goal wasn't enough for them to get 3 points last time so yeah odd looks good.

Assurances that Barcelona are interested in the return of Thiago Alcantara makes no sense at the moment for two important reasons.
the words of Laporta , who said that Barca cannot contract with any player before selling a player for him.
The second is that Barca does not need the player in this line, specifically with the presence of Gavi, De Jong, Pedri, Ricky and Busquets, and in the presence of Coutinho!!
Logic says Barca needs a solid, big defender and a real winger to compete with Dembele for his reserved position.

Yeah true, right now they are focusing on offloading a player in midfield and try getting in some good defenders and a winger. They have set quite an eye on Raheem Sterling and Dani Olmo for quite some time now and also in last window they were in contact with Leipzig for return of Dani Olmo but transfer window closed then. There will be lot of changes that will be brought after appointment of Xavi and possibly some offloading of poor transfers as well when Koeman was there.

Zidane would only have headaches in manchester united, unless of course he takes out certain players and puts in others to improve defense.
The last issue I read about Zidane doesn't seem to want coach Man United, it's Brendan Roger who is likely to replace Ole.

Zidane was never going to manage as I thought because he had to make quite a lot of adjustments if he were to manage United. Can understand the notable managers being linked to United due to their performance and questions around Ole managing but this one didn't seemed like a convincing one. One of the reputed football transfers reporter Christian Falk (@cfbayern) reported Zidane turning down the united offer and opting for a break until summer - https://twitter.com/cfbayern/status/1460999413648736262 .

Brendan Rodgers is an interesting target but I also have doubt regarding him leaving Leicester right now. He was linked to Newcastle job as well but he turned down that offer too. I think he has got the trust of Leicester Board and don't want to let them down this way.
