2001  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: July 09, 2021, 11:20:44 PM
I once read an article published by the news site The Guardian when ronaldo moved to Juventus (2018), in the article it was stated that Juventus had sold almost 520,000 jerseys in just 24 hours and from the sale, Juventus managed to make a profit of almost USD62, 4 million and that was almost half of the cost of moving ronaldo from real madrid to juventus at that time, and if I'm not mistaken the effect of ronaldo's arrival to juventus also increased the value of their shares by almost 40%, so you can imagine how big the income that juventus can get after 2 seasons of ronaldo playing for Juventus right now, so I think if Juventus sells Ronaldo in the future, it will certainly have a huge impact on their financial problems.
As for Cristiano Ronaldo, the situation is incomprehensible and confusing, and in order to sell football shirts, you must first keep the football player;) If at first, after the end of the season, Ronaldo seemed to express his wishes to leave the club, now the player's agent, Jorge Medes, offered to extend the club's contract with the player, to which the Juventus management seemed to ask for time to think. On the other hand, Paris Saint-Germain also seems to be interested in the services of a football player and is constantly in contact with an agent. In any case, Ronaldo will not remain without a club and everything depends on the financial condition of Juventus.
2002  Economy / Economics / Re: Covid virus 2021 on: July 09, 2021, 12:00:03 AM
Such a strategy also occurs in my country, where the government provides subsidies to the community. while the tax at the beginning of covid did not seem to be charged, but over time, the government seemed to be looking for a source of funding from taxes where entrepreneurs reviewed their taxation, until there were findings and billed
There is not even a single sector in the economy, which is not impacted by the downturn due to COVID 19. So the government needs to be careful. They can't force the embattled businesses to pay ever increasing taxes. Already a large number of small and medium sizes are bankrupt. In my area, almost 75% of the restaurants have shut down their operations. Same is the case with hotels and lodges. Other businesses are also not doing good. Initially, it was expected that the pandemic would be contained in a couple of months at the most. But now it has already been two years.
Yes, unfortunately, the pandemic has stretched for too long a period of time and even now it is difficult to predict the future situation, because the situation is developing in waves, presenting more and more new challenges. It is quite possible to understand government officials who, in the current difficult conditions, are trying to find more sources to replenish the budget, but it seems that it is still too early to tax the surviving enterprises too much, and therefore the printing press is still a popular and necessary tool for the state, despite all the costs that are inherent in this mechanism.
2003  Economy / Economics / Re: Aren't we the reason why BTC is becoming too much centralized? on: July 08, 2021, 11:48:03 PM
Unfortunately they do not even just do it very often with the small amounts, they do it with very big amounts and that causes the price to plummet and skyrocket. I mean think about it, tesla had 1.5 billion dollars worth of bitcoin, they probably bought that all at once, and that probably did cause the price to go up very high, and at the same time they probably sold, or someone else with a lot of bitcoins ended up selling, and that causes it to go down very quickly.
It is not just about selling or buying, it is about how they are doing it with very very big amounts and that causes things to go out of hand. When you see a huge move do not think just their move, all the stop loss, all the leverages all the futures liquidated, all the trading bots these are all the things that gets trigger with just one whale selling or buying and that is why it matters a lot.
Well, for Tesla itself, it was hardly large volumes Grin But seriously, it is hardly worth saying that in that particular case, it was the sale by such a large player as Tesla that led to such a significant drop in the price of bitcoin, because a lot of factors overlapped there. But of course, such large sales undoubtedly have an impact on the exchange rate price of an asset, because an excessively large amount of an asset on the market can put pressure on the price drop. However, such players want to maximize profits and usually keep this circumstance in mind and try to stretch such transactions as much as possible in time and volume.
2004  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Bitcoins kill Central Banks? on: July 08, 2021, 11:33:04 PM
I know it was a sort of market competition and bank owners will think negatively with the existence of Bitcoin as it will slow down their business or even thinking it will be their end. Well, that they are too naive to think that way and that is because they don't know about Bitcoin, about cryptocurrency yet. I can blame them neither as that is business but hopefully, they also understand the situation. And besides, not all are in crypto so they still have clients and they could still able to survive.
the most severe, the central bank is under government control, so this will be more difficult considering that the government does not want to lose control, such as the decentralized system in bitcoin. but this time we are faced with the country of elsalvador which will legalize bitcoin, at least we have hope for it
The state of El Salvador generally has a rather unique situation and currently does not have its own national currency at all and the US dollar is used as the national currency, so it is not quite correct to cite this small state as an example. Also, do not forget that when El Salvador asked international financial organizations such as the International Monetary Fund to implement bitcoin, El Salvador did not meet the approval of any of these organizations. Therefore, it is also too early to talk about implementation and it is not entirely clear how this will be implemented in the end, because so far all this looks like a conversation about intentions.
2005  Economy / Economics / Re: When everybody tell you take take risk with money on: July 05, 2021, 11:59:01 PM
In life, we all take some risks. It could be related to our jobs, families etc. . Risk is a part of our life I mean. Whatever kind of investment we make, we take risks. Because there is no safe environment in this market. You should always be ready to lose as well. When we are taking risks, we should be very careful about its size. I don't recommend anyone to take risks which they can't afford later.
If you would be fear to take risks and settle for playing safe you will going to miss million of cahnces to change the way you live your life today. It is true that in life there are many risks that whether we like it or not we should try it for us to learn and to grow but honestly speaking we as individual have our own choices and own decisions in life. And honestly speaking there are many who would rather choosing to play safe than taking risks and I think that is the thing that I couldn't settle of, I mean I am a risk taker.
There are different levels of risk. Too high levels of risk are much more likely to lead to negative consequences than to positive ones, and each time these consequences are more likely. You can regret the missed opportunities as much as you want, but at the same time it is worth bearing in mind what would have happened if a negative scenario had been realized. Negative experience is also useful, because it allows you to keep a cool head and not fall into an extreme degree of risk due to dizziness from success. And probably, it is still better to risk more often, but with smaller amounts than rarely, but with large amounts, each time putting yourself on the verge of bankruptcy.
2006  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA EURO 2020 Discussion Thread | Current Phase: Finals in June 2021! on: July 05, 2021, 11:37:03 PM
I say this in relation to Spain, because of the performance it has been showing, not just in the Euro 2020 games.
Of course Spain are a great team, there is no doubt about that. The problem is that I don't see Spain playing as a team. They are very unbalanced, and that is why they have had difficulties. Now, of course, you have all the conditions to win Italy. But I see that it will be difficult for these to achieve this victory. Now, Italy won't have an easy game, nor can it go with the idea that it's won, because it isn't. They will have to work hard to get the win.
I think that Italy will have to try very hard to beat Spain. The Spanish national team can be called great historically, but it is difficult to say this about the current team. Although the current Spanish national team may not be as rich in star names as it was recently, but in principle this composition quite allows you to win a single match and get to the final. Of course, the game will show everything, but it is clearly noticeable that the victories of the Italian national team at this tournament are getting harder with each match, so I think this "tradition" will continue in this match. It will be interesting to see if the Italian national team will allow Spain to take the ball for themselves, as Spain did in previous matches.
2007  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 05, 2021, 11:24:15 PM
I agree with you in what you said except for Chelsea. Ok Chelsea under Tuchel doesn't spent a penny but Chelsea before him in the same season spent a lot of money to recruit many players, don't remember anymore if it was the highest team spending money the previous season or not in EPL.
No need to say that it is not about how much you spend on players nor their numbers but their quality counts way more. ATM got Suarez for free and they won La Liga, no need to mention other names getting nothing although their huge transfer/salaries..
On the one hand, the skill of any coach is the ability to work with the material that is in the club. On the other hand, any serious coach has his own specific preferences for strengthening specific positions. I am talking about the fact that if Tuchel has not spent a single penny at Chelsea yet, this does not mean that this will be the case for the duration of the entire contract  Wink Moreover, his work has certainly earned the right to an opinion about future transfers. And the situation when the coach does not affect the selection policy of the club at all is usually inherent in poor clubs, to which it is difficult to attribute Chelsea even with all the desire Grin
2008  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: July 05, 2021, 11:05:20 PM
Totteham is a big team,so we don't expect them to sell their best player to their rival just like that. They've not gotten a replacement yet,and even if they should get a replacement, they won't be able to get a player in caliber of Harry Kane. That is the reason they are finding it difficult to let him go.But if Mancity decides to break bounds for Kane and pay the whooping 150mil,they won't have a choice but to let him go.Totteham really want to use him to make huge amount of money.
Tottenham, of course, is a big team, but in the current conditions, Manchester City is an even bigger team Wink Undoubtedly, after the end of the European Championship, a whole battle will unfold for the opportunity to get Kane into their ranks, because Kane himself blocked all possibilities of negotiations until the end of the tournament. If at first the tournament was not so successful for Kane in terms of goals scored, now the situation has improved, which should encourage future buyers. Now there is information that Tottenham is interested in Pjanic, whose services are no longer interested in Barcelona and the head coach Ronald Koeman himself. Is this option being considered to replace Kane?  Grin
2009  Economy / Economics / Re: Can the world be without poverty on: July 05, 2021, 10:49:31 PM
What you describe is a sad reality, no wonder it is very difficult to reduce poverty. The government should change the system related to tax policy, in my opinion the poor should not be given financial assistance, it will make them even more lazy to work. The government should provide training to the poor, so that they have the skills and can get a job. Actually, the government also needs to educate the poor to change their mindset, not to rely too much on government assistance.
We just need a reasonable balance between material assistance to the low-income population and creating incentives for this population to earn money on their own. Nevertheless, in any case, it will be a shameful phenomenon for any state if in the 21st century people will die of hunger or do not receive the necessary medical care due to lack of funds. Let's be realistic, but unemployment is an indispensable part of modern capitalism and no normal democratic state can and is not obliged to provide everyone with work, and any violation of this principle leads to human rights violations and slave inefficient forced labor. Therefore, I would advise you to be more careful with statements about financial assistance, because often the price of this is a human life.
2010  Economy / Economics / Re: COVID advanced the world into the future on: July 05, 2021, 10:33:43 PM
Truth to be told the pandemic forced people to adapt, the reason old people do not seem to understand new technology is not because they are dumb or anything like that, it has to do with the fact that they have set up their lives in a way that they do not need to adapt and they just want to relax, but the pandemic forced them to do so as a great deal of the things that we could do were limited and the only way to find a replacement for them was to go online and use a smartphone to find them.
A person by himself is a rather lazy being and he needs all sorts of incentives to change his habits or his usual world. All this only gets stronger with age and you should not blame the absolute majority of people for this, because this is human nature. Older people are quite curious, but their previous experience was formed in a previous time with a different environment and they automatically try to transfer their previous experience to new technologies, and this does not always work. COVID, of course, forces them to accept new technological realities, because this is a very powerful incentive for successfully solving all tasks due to all kinds of restrictions in movement.
2011  Economy / Economics / Re: Why is bitcoin (crypto) worth anything at all?? on: July 05, 2021, 10:15:42 PM
I do not know how you think about all this . Too simple thinking like that. How is it possible for the state to print cash at will and then distribute it for free by the public. LOL If so, there will be no more people who want to try. Maybe now there is no bitcoin because if that were the case, it would happen
The OP eventually learned that this was not possible but you have no idea how many times I have heard people that I consider to be smart say things like ‘if the government printed one million dollars for each person then everyone will be a millionaire and no one will be poor again’.
Those people do not understand that money is not the issue here, money is nothing more but a representation of value, if you give so much of that monopoly money away but the production of goods and services does not increase then you have a lot more money chasing for the same products and services increasing the price you need to pay for them and ending their utopia of fake millionaires.
I would be interested to see these "smart" people who believe that just mechanical printing of empty money will make everyone rich and well-off Wink It's just that such thoughts are usually inherent in people who do not understand the essence of the issue or do not want to understand it for some reason. People who are fans of simple solutions and simply do not represent the consequences of such simple decisions. People who believe that the experience of previous generations is worthless and everything is done and done wrong. Money is not such a simple thing and does not forgive a frivolous attitude towards oneself.
2012  Economy / Economics / Re: The One World Currency: Is it Bitcoin? on: July 05, 2021, 10:02:48 PM
It can never be because bitcoin is not stable as a currency. For it to be widely adopted, it should not be volatile and the fees should not be expensive, people will only use it that way, not the current situation. Bitcoin, as it stays longer, has not become a currency according to its purpose, instead, it becomes a speculative asset and its purpose now becomes an investment.
Never say never, but still, on the whole, I agree with you. Despite my generally positive attitude to cryptocurrencies, it is worth saying that in general, the idea of one or a single world currency is not feasible in modern economic and political conditions, and even if this idea were to come to life one day, it would hardly be bitcoin. Because the adoption of bitcoin as a single world currency would mean the collapse of the entire political and economic world order, when states suddenly cannot support their currencies and manage the economic mechanism in the state through the national currency. In general, if this idea suddenly comes to fruition, what does it mean that a disaster has happened to the whole world and state institutions have suddenly stopped working.
2013  Economy / Economics / Re: Vietnam Becomes Latest Country to Turn to Crypto on: July 05, 2021, 09:47:47 PM
I am Vietnamese and I heard this news before Vietnam banned buying and selling BTC, I feel very bad for the past few years but now good news Vietnam my country started accepting BTC.
I am glad that your government changed their perspective towards crypto. They are now realizing the benefits of this technology and may help their Citizens in some ways to improve their economic status. Let us see how this pans out. Or are they open to create their own digital currency? Now, that China is getting hard on crypto, it is good to hear that there are countries that are now changing their approach towards crypto
I think it's too early to be very happy if you carefully read the news. Actually, I didn't notice anything in the news that would talk about the adoption of bitcoin in Vietnam and the permission to make payments in bitcoin, and there seems to be nothing new in this area. It's just that the prime minister just called on the country's Central Bank to make a pilot launch of the cryptocurrency within two years, and apparently everything will develop according to the Chinese version with a digital national currency based on the blockchain, and Vietnam simply does not want to lag far behind China in this area. Vietnam, of course, is changing its attitude a little, but all this change does not apply to traditional decentralized cryptocurrencies.
2014  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: July 04, 2021, 11:56:18 PM
Kane's better appearance at Euro 2020 will surely make several big teams interested in buying Kane, problems Levy tried to prevent the move by fixing the price very high. This is what makes some big clubs hesitate to buy Kane, but most likely it is Manchester City who can buy Kane at a high price. Moreover, until now Manchester City has not bought a player to replace Aguero, who has moved to Barcelona. But Guardiola
usually prefers strikers with good agility and speed, and Kane doesn't have that. Everything depends on Guardiola's decision, if Guardiola likes Kane surely in the near future Manchester City will negotiate with Tottenham to bring Kane.
But quite recently, after the first matches at Euro 2020, there was quite serious talk at the forum that Kane had hit his transfer value for the worse with his performance in the championship  Grin As far as I remember, Guardiola himself said in a recent interview that buying Kane is the main goal in the current transfer window, so there are no obstacles from the head coach of the team, but on the contrary, only full approval. There also seems to be a desire in the transition from Kane himself, who sees no prospects in winning titles from his current team. The only obstacles were only Kane's unwillingness to discuss this issue before the end of the European Championship, as well as the unwillingness of the Tottenham owner to sell Kane for the proposed amount from Manchester City.
2015  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: July 04, 2021, 11:44:27 PM
Ramos was always a bad person who he was always a dirty player that played horrible in the sense that he wasn't afraid of getting carded and he made horrible tackles for years, specially against Barcelona on the big players like messi, he just played with his emotions and angry instead of just being a defender that follows the rules, the years with him and pepe together were one of the worst years to watch Real because they would rather tackle and kick you in the leg instead of defending the ball, hell even if they can tackle the ball they went for the people.
I understand Perez not being fine with him being a dick to him, he is the president and Ramos is just a player, if you as a player do not like the president that pays your salary then go ahead and leave, I think he should not be missed at all.
I have a rather contradictory attitude towards Ramos and I perfectly understand why the fans of other teams have such a negative attitude towards him. We can call Ramos a bad person and a rather dirty player as much as we like, but we should still admit that it is difficult to call Ramos a bad player and he coped with his playing duties very well, cementing the defense and scoring important goals. As for the relationship between Perez and Ramos, I would not focus much on the hostility of the club president to the player. Florentino Perez is quite paternal towards Sergio and I would not be surprised if Perez takes Ramos to some position at the club after his career ends. It's just the way things are now.
2016  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: July 04, 2021, 11:25:16 PM
If big clubs hesitate to pay more than $100 M for Haaland, Dortmund will keep him for one more season. The world can have a big crisis after the pandemic and it can occur next year, next 3 years, I don't know. Dortmund have to sell Haaland before the crisis.
They have good financial health but their strategy is find talented youth players, buy low, grow up and sell high.
I do not think that Haaland will stay that long. I understand that pandemic caused a lot of financial trouble for teams but at what point in history can you find someone as amazing as Haaland? That dude is one of the best strikers in active player pool, I understand there could be some arguments about who else could be but I think in "pure striker" sense he could very well be the best. Like maybe you can say Mbappe right?
Well, he is not pure striker, dude could very well play at wings if you put him there or he is a different style at offense, or look at Firmino for biggest example, he is playing at the center of offense but he is not striker at all. So at the end of the day we are talking about a player that you can't find anytime soon. Hence teams could be drooling over trying to get him and money is not an issue for many just so they can get him. Chelsea already have a 150 million offer.
I think that there will be a buyer for 100 million in any case Wink Another question is that such a sum is unlikely to suit Dortmund and it seems that there is already a good offer from Chelsea. However, it seems that it is not quite clear what the agent, father and Haaland himself think about this. I believe that this is the order in which the priority is placed in making the final decision on the transfer Grin Haaland shows an impressive game and will calmly fit into the game of any top club, so if the transition does not happen now, then it seems that it will certainly happen in the winter transfer window and no financial crises in theory should prevent this.
2017  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA EURO 2020 Discussion Thread | Current Phase: Finals in June 2021! on: July 04, 2021, 11:14:19 PM
I'm sure England will advance to the final in Euro2020.
Will the final be Italy vs England? or Spain vs England?
My bet is on England to win the Euro 2020, they are playing well and Harry Kane is motivating the team and they are playing aggressive football and finding opportunities to score goals and two more games and they will be the champions. I did not expect England to reach the quarter finals before the tournament but now i am convinced we will see them in the final unless they misfire completely and have an off day.
The other finalist might be Italy as Spain was inconsistent in the last match and was struggling to score a goal against Switzerland.
To begin with, England needs to reach the final of the European Championship for the first time in its history, and only then take a swing at the title Wink I would not discount Spain, because they got Switzerland, which proved to be a tough nut to crack. Let's not forget that before that, Switzerland had removed France from its path, albeit on a penalty, and France is hardly a weak team and Mbappe and the company could well claim the title of champions. I didn't have a strong impression of the England game and I wouldn't be surprised if England won the title or lost both in the final and in the semi-final.
2018  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: July 04, 2021, 11:05:26 PM
As everyone expected, too easy for Verstappen. There is no-one to challenge him, unless Mercedes can come up with some big improvements to their car very quickly... but they've said they're focusing on next year's car, which suggests that this year's title race may be as good as over already. But let's see, it's a different track next time out, and maybe Mercedes can come up with something.
If Mercedes is focusing on next year car this means that now they are not fighting seriously during this year.Right now the 32 points advantage is really big,I confused with 26 points but I forgot that Lewis dropped from 2nd to 4th.
I think the fact that Mercedes signed early the contract to Lewis means they still will focus for this year season and we all need that.
Mercedes just wanted clarity in the future and did not want to delay the signing of the contract again. Hamilton and Mercedes continue to pay for their monstrous mistake in Baku, and then Norris intervened, who restrained Hamilton for a long time, helped to increase the gap from Verstappen and damage to the car, which did not even allow him to keep a place in the top three. In any case, Mercedes will continue to fight for the title this season, but with each past race the gap increases and the chances of winning the title decrease accordingly. As for next year, everything is vague and it seems that with the change of technical regulations, the number of teams claiming the title may clearly be more than two.
2019  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: July 04, 2021, 10:52:34 PM
We have seen surprises in the past with clubs from other leagues full of no names. I agree though that I don't see Roma anywhere near to a chance to win a trophy, maybe the Coppa Italia. But remember the season when Leicester City made it in England or VFL Wolfsburg in Germany? That was completely unexpected, but out of a sudden no names developed a real team spirit and self-confidence and made it happen. Never say never, but usually you are right.
Such cases are very rare and occur due to the successful coincidence of many factors, and not just the game of a particular team. I do not think that the management of Roma inviting Mourinho to them necessarily expects titles, although of course it would not be against such an option. Obviously, the most important thing for the management is that Roma makes a qualitative breakthrough in the results. By the way, it seems that Roma almost agreed on the transfer of Rui Patricio from Wolverhampton for 7 million euros, agreeing a contract with the player himself in the amount of 2.7 million euros a year until 2024.
2020  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 04, 2021, 10:42:52 PM
Messi and Ramos are professional and the relationship during the match is unlikely to affect the relationship after it. The only problem may be the leadership of this or that player. If there are several star players in the team and each of them wants to be a leader, then this will certainly lead to conflicts. In this case, only a strong coach can solve the problem, but alas, Pochettino is unlikely to cope with such a problem.
It would be quite interesting to watch Messi and Ramos in the same team, although still this news seems incredible and not from the field of science fiction. I don't think they would have any friction about leadership in the team, because they have leadership of different kinds, Messi is the leader of the game, and Ramos is the so-called leader of the dressing room. Let's not forget that Ramos got along quite well in the same team with Cristiano Ronaldo. The only thing that could be the cause of possible friction is not the simplest relationship between Real Madrid and Barcelona, but I do not think that such professionals would not settle this between themselves.
