2001  Economy / Gambling / Re: is KYC data on Gambling sites safe? on: May 30, 2023, 06:31:17 PM
I think the KYC data is safe on trusted gambling sites because they will use that data for knowing the customer rather than sharing it with other groups or other sites. The KYC is mostly needed for the safety purposes because the sites don't want to be flooded by the army of bots, and that's why they verify the customer originality. Unfortunately, these days people have been generating very original faces with the help of AI.

First of all, KYC is not safe both on trusted and non trusted gambling sites. Yes, we know that our data is more vulnerable on non -trusted new gambling sites but what is the grantee that the old trusted gambling site will secure our KYC data. Apart from the leakage of data, there can be situation where the casino or the employee of casino may misuse the data and we would never know about it.

Secondly with the help of AI, you may develop original faces but it will be hard to produce all the fake documents with AI. Secondly the casino needs to become smart these days. Instead of making gamblers to upload their pictures why not force them to take their online picture by taking real time picture from camera. This way, the use of AI will be almost impossible to produce a live fake picture or video.

The only time  KYC data can be compromised when the hackers get access to the database of the website, and they successfully dump that database into their own hard drive. That way the KYC details will be known by third parties because those hackers might sell the database for money. But, that doesn't mean that all sites can be compromised because most of the trusted sites have good security to stop such hackers from hacking their databases.

Hacking is another thing and if the database of KYC is hacked, there is nothing we may do but at least the gambling site will publish the news of this hack and we will be mentally aware that our data is hacked, and we should be cautions. However, in case casino keep selling our data to the third party without our knowledge there is nothing we can do about this.

The issue of kyc safety is what bothers alot. Many third parties do not really regard their clients they joke virtually with everything jeopardizing the identities of their clients. Some go as far as leaking details and when it comes to business they may likely not say no to protect their members but come up with plans to selling people's identities to third parties which is not welcoming.

I have no doubt many data and information of customers have been misused by their service providers without their consent and this has made me start believing that truly they do such as I have a particular email I registered with an exchange with. I have not used that email for anything before be it social media or whatsoever but I keep receiving unsolicited mails I never registered for so I asked myself how did all these come about?
These are the issues with third parties and kyc safety. One does not have any safety once you have undergone kyc process or procedures.
2002  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: How do you preach about bitcoin on: May 30, 2023, 04:33:53 PM
OP, currently in the city, people are fully aware of bitcoin even the aboki suya man now knows about bitcoin what I believe is that people are just afraid of getting scammed of their hard earned resources so they do not try it and as a result of their previous experience with Ponzi schemes which brought them down to nearly square one.
Some even too are afraid of the CBN ban on banks for Crypto related transactions and hence desist from associating themselves with bitcoin or anything related to Crypto for the time being but I had to let them know about the major Claus as regards the bank ban on Crypto transaction but they insist since government don talk Dem don talk say Dem no want anything way go make efcc or other government agencies come after them.
Na so the mata take be now but I never stop talking to my friends of bitcoin and other developments as regards to bitcoin and Crypto even when I meet with new friends I do give them small time before I tell them about bitcoin. Nobody in my circle that does not know about bitcoin.
2003  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Patricia breached, bitcoin and naira stolen. on: May 30, 2023, 04:17:14 PM

I used that exchange a couple of times to exchange my Bitcoin into naira, but that was a long time ago as I found out that there have some practices that aid more centralization and third-party staff involvement in key features which I see as a security risk and I avoided the exchange.

Apart from exchanging my Bitcoin to naira I never used Patricia to trade in other coins, and I was not surprised when I got the email of withdrawal disable due to security threats but the emails mentioned that customers' funds were affected by the attack.

Omo I feel say these stuff na settings o. See the way e take start from suspending of withdrawals to possible hack. Na so e dey take dey o. These guys don japa with people alawee o.  Na these kind things dey attract government into putting policies wey go dey reveal identity of people for Crypto wey no go well. I dey even wonder if our government go put eye into this matter to see how Dem go take resolve am possibly go after the hackers if Dem get any track or trace of activities as regards the funds movement. That one fit make sense Wella.
2004  Economy / Gambling / Re: is KYC data on Gambling sites safe? on: May 30, 2023, 03:46:17 PM
In the first place, kyc was never the plan of blockchain and bitcoin. Bitcoin operates on the pseudo anonymous ways which means that there is no need for KYC but as time passes, government brought up a policy for third parties involved in bitcoin transaction to foster kyc plans so as to keep track of individual account transactions for possible observations and immediate actions as a result of the way blockchain operates and since then, kyc has been a regular thing in the space which is not welcoming. As for me, kyc is not really safe on blockchain or gambling sites because when there is a possible hack, information and Data of members are stolen and sold and most times, third parties obviously do that which is not welcoming.

So in respect to wether kyc is safe on gambling site is up to you to decide wether to choose a kyc gambling site to gamble with or not.
2005  Economy / Economics / Re: Will chatgpt really destroy the job market? on: May 30, 2023, 03:12:25 PM
OP, I really do not think chatgpt would destroy the labour market. What I just think is that it would make workers lousy and dull in fast thinking as it used to be. Chatgpt rather makes work more easier and faster in response and generating of solutions to urgent quests at hand which seems rather difficult but my fear is that humans now will solely depend on it for response and put which is not welcoming although it can generate solutions but it can not do muscular activities like humans. So I see no way it can destroy the labour market other than rendering solutions to pressuring situations.

For the time I have been here, I must say that I have refreshed my bitcoin memory alot in doing research as I am one and a researcher as well. This forum has exposed me to lots of bitcoin events both past and present. The knowledge gained, the ideas, contributions and lots of other activities I have engaged myself in with respect to bitcoin and bitcointalk forum.

When we talk of experience and other aspect we should also remember to talk of the work too. Atleast that is a good one here too this platform has done a lot to salvage many people here. We should appreciate this platform for that as well. It is not an easy one for this platform to create good working atmosphere for her members. It is worth saying because I too have been a beneficiary too.

2008  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Is Happyminer real? on: May 30, 2023, 02:40:01 PM

Two weeks ago, some one talked to me about this mining site called the Happyminer and how I can make passive income from setting it up on my phone. This is the website www.happyminer.us It looks good and the person who told me about it is someone with a deep knowledge about cryptocurrency. My confusion is that alot of people in this forum have said mining sites are not good and are mostly scam sites but this site am given looks good. Because of that I do not know how to conclude this if it is real or fake. Can someone help me out. I do not want to go on a journey to waste my time with it. I need your help on it. Has anyone used this site before? Is it real?

And please moderators can move this topic if this board is the wrong place for it.

OP if I may ask is there any difference between this happy miner of a thing and that of the rest of the other cloud mining sites?

The person that told you about it, did you not ask them to show you convincing proof as to clear your doubt? From all I have read here coupled with me accessing the website, I have not seen anything tangible other that US memorial day currently. Possibly, most of the reviews about the website might be right because I have no doubt organization recruit people to go give positive feedback on their review pages so that people would see it to be realistic and genuine and that is the scenario there days. I mostly look into the complaints about them when I visit review sites so I could get more update on what I am about going into.
2009  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Doing scam for Using AI Tool in Signature Campaign on: May 30, 2023, 02:20:53 PM
It is unfortunate that all these are happening of lately.  I believe every campaign here has rules to go by and before anyone must apply, he or she must diligently read the rules then apply as appropriate if they deem it fit for their participation.

The user in question violated the Terms and conditions of the campaign. Well, pleading it to be a mistake is what I do not understand but however, the manager has the final say on this matter. What ever decision deems it fit is his resolution.
2010  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: coinzino.io closes accounts and takes money from players for no reason on: May 30, 2023, 01:41:34 PM
OP at first your evidence is quite ok to have provided the chat but not complete. You did not put up your transaction hash here so it would be verified to know if truly you made such deposit into your casino wallet yet.

Secondly, the casino from the beginning of the conversation especially the customer care you contacted has no clues of your offense meaning he or she is not I the know of what really happened and has refused to make further inquiries and it is likely they have refused giving out the information to the customer care so as to communicate you properly.

I checked their announcement thread and discovered that for quite a long that their account has not been active here and it was created October last year which means it is likely not a new casino.

Lastly, did you use VPN to login other while you were playing and winning heavily with the casino and after a while you decided to not login without VPN?
These are the little things that gets such a penalty from the team against their customers.
2011  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔥 💵 ⚡️⚡️⚡️Introducing CoinZino - Fast Fun Fair Crypto Casino 💥💥💥 on: May 30, 2023, 01:40:01 PM
I do not think reaching out to the coinzino team would be a problem if they not here.  Although their presence here matters too because it would be very easier for a faster and more amicable resolution to the both parties involved in this case or complaints but I am still curious as to why their representative here has not been active for quite a long time and the casino does not even bother to do something about it so as I make their presence here noted.

It is possible for them to be mailed attached with a link to their profile and the complaints so they can act on it either by calling their representative to attend to it or they do that themselves. This will help further the resolution of this complaints at hand.
2012  Economy / Gambling / Re: Why do you still want to play fake web2 casinos? Why we choose web3 casinos on: May 30, 2023, 01:23:44 PM

do well to work on accepting bitcoin as quick as possible

This is another reason to their being unprofessional enough because most standard casinos accept bitcoin, they may decided not to accept other cryptocurrencies but bitcoin is a must for acceptabilities despite if they have their own coin introduced.

Bitcoin is the first priority for every casino because it is a general commodity for all gamblers online. When it comes to funds mostly and commonly used by online gamblers, you think of bitcoin because bitcoin has been there onset from the very first beginning of online gambling and it has been there and would  still remain there and moreover, it is the first cryptocurrency to be acknowledged and accepted as a digital currency before the advent of other crypto currency so therefore, any new generational casino that is thinking of standing without including bitcoin as a means of payment is likely not going anywhere because nobody would look into their way to gamble with them. Justbet should know about this before they doom themselves.

Though we cannot also derived the conclusion on every casino not in support of bitcoin from their platform as a fake one, everyone has their own policy and target but what we make sure to emphasize here is the need to let the fact that most casinos support bitcoin even if they don't accept other cryptocurrencies, and there decision on this begins with how we begin to have take on them wether they are reliable casino or scam, through the indications of what we receives as signals base on their policy and requirements needed on their website.

From their policies, we know how serious a casino is when it comes to customer relations and care. If the policy is too bend to not allowing a free flow between the customer and casino then there is likely a question mark there because there is no how a casino policy would be too bend to not allow customers have their own way about their activities onboard the casino. If that is the contrary is the case then that casino is likely what it is suspected to be and hence they would be called to order in cushioning their activities and policies for a friendly and better environment and interactions.
2013  Economy / Economics / Re: Why do people stay poor? on: May 30, 2023, 10:09:22 AM
Else, if there's luck that happened and destiny bring them that luxury maybe they will leave poverty but that's not always the case, most of the time those who are hoping for luck will stay being poor and without doing anything they will die as what it is, you need to work on with your opportunities don't let yourself being stuck with struggle in life but do something to try changing your fate and not just keep your hop alone without any action to change your destiny.
As a result of being trapped in poverty because luck is not on their side. Luck can come from unexpected directions that make someone suddenly rich, such as finding gold, diamonds or other items that have high prices. Often poor people dream of becoming rich people who have all the luxuries in their lives, but fate has not brought them luck even though they have done something to get out of poverty.
Poor people need capital support from the government or loans from rich people to build businesses as the first step to change their destiny. It is necessary to pay attention to the fate of those around us so that they can live properly with the help of venture capital from the government and generous people.

Well I really do not see any differences from being lucky and preparing for an opportunity. When you are fully prepared, any opportunities that springs forth definitely gets you in. I have that believe being prepared gives you the opportunity to excell and strategically position you when the time avails itself. So most of these people being poor is not as a result of their humble beginning but most of them are not really prepared otherwise to present themselves when the opportunity avails itself. Some of them have had series of opportunities but are not prepared to making good use of it and it slips out of their hands that way.

So when you talk of luck, it is good one but does it meets a prepared mind to handle it and retain it's stand? That is the food for thought.
2014  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Crypto influencers secrets that all newbies should be aware of on: May 29, 2023, 11:06:26 PM
If you are actually wise and knowledgeable, regardless if you are a newbie or not, you will know from the start that crypto influencers are not there to help you become profitable, but to stay them at profits knowing they are being paid of what they supposed to write or tell. So never rely on crypto influencers as they will only push you into your own weaknesses. Have your own will to gain knowledge and skills, that way you’ll be free from the negative intentions of crypto influencers.

This is what every smart individual should know about the crypto space be it a novice or a newbie, as long as you are smart and knowledgeable enough to decipher some situations, you can not fall victim of these so called social media crypto influencers that have caused lots of wreckage to peoples lives and funds in the name of promoting shit coins and scam projects all year round to the detriment of their follower ship  and at their own selfish interest. crypto influencers are the conduit for the pump and dump game. They are always willing to play to the tune of their paymaster as long as the situation favours them in a big way causing havoc to unsuspecting investors and their followers.
2015  Economy / Gambling / Re: ❤️ BitcoinCasino.to - Guide & Reviews - 1400+ Crypto Casinos List on: May 29, 2023, 10:44:37 PM
We respect your experience but even if the casino is working for you safely then you will ignore the fact that they have an active case. You are promoting a review site which aims for players to guide them on choosing proper casino based on your judgement. What if Bitstarz scam the person that you invite since they have a record of scamming someone? Would you take the blame?

All you have said is not in any ways a concern to me but for good opinion and Service delivery I had to make an input.
It is generally known about bitstarz to be a Scam casino but on your review site it fit a clear pass  meaning it has no issues. If I may ask did you really do a proper survey by also asking gamblers who have patronized the casino before because in only doing so, you can be able to get something tangible information about the casino to write about  but it seems you didn't looking at your response in you agreeing to removing it for the intereem means you did not  do due diligence before giving it a pass on your website.

Lastly, you said you write from your experience playing it as a casino then I do not think you can get a concrete information to do a review without looking outward to other gamblers who have patronized the casino. You alone can not get what it takes to get or do a clean review as it would be distorted and inaccurate. Do well to include other modalities for your review to be adequate.

Do not forget that a tree can not make up a forest likewise you too can not just make up a review on your own.

We did indeed do our due diligence and the consensus outside of this forum is that it's a solid operator, which is also the opinion of some members of this forum as well.

Quick case in point including some of the largest and most respected comparison sites, both general and crypto-focused:

https://www.askgamblers.com/online-casinos/reviews/bitstarz-casino (including 522 user ratings)
https://casino.guru/BitStarz-Casino-review (including 428 user ratings)
https://www.casinomeister.com/casino-reviews/bitstarz/
https://lcb.org/casinos/bitstarz
https://bitcoincasinokings.com/reviews/bitstarz/
https://cryptomaniaks.com/bitstarz-review
https://www.coinbuzz.com/casino-reviews/stars-casino/
https://coingambling.info/reviews/bitstarz-casino/
https://www.btcgosu.com/review/bitstarz-casino/

And so on.

We respect that there's a difference in opinions here (which should be obvious since we've agreed to re-review the concerns that have been raised) but our original review score was not really deviating from the norm.

Hopefully that's enough clarification about the original inclusion of this particular operator. Thanks for giving us some food for thought.

Thanks for giving us some food for thought.

You are welcome OP. You see that is one of the reasons you and I are here so as to make inputs and genuine review so as to render services and to derive satisfaction from services rendered. Comments, reviews and inputs are part of the process of making and noting errors in every organisation. It helps the organisation go along way by molding them to the standard and taste of the society so they could stand out and tall in the society. You and your organisation are not exempted in this particular exercise too. It is nice you did the right thing by acknowledging the fact that you need things done accurately and properly. You have a good project to go by. I wish you and your organisation good luck.

2017  Economy / Economics / Re: Why do people stay poor? on: May 29, 2023, 09:23:53 PM
Sometimes not planning for your money can be or should I say is a factor to why people stay poor. Another is the poor lack the right mindset to manage money or even making the little they have to expand in terms of investing on it. Overspending leaves people poor even when their income put them above the poverty line, they can't really help but act according to how low their mentality is while using money for themselves. Ones they (poor people) are surrounded by people who have nothing productive to offer they can't see that they're not moving in the right path, bad energy kills bright ideas.

No doubt the fact that poor planning and financial mismanagement result in financial instability in one's life and society as a whole. Even in government, it is so that is why you see the government passing a bill and making a budget so as to meet up with their financial demand in other to deliver the dividend of democracy. As an individual, one needs to plan beforehand so as to avoid unnecessary expenses and waste as this has been the issue faced by many. Instead of wasting, channeling the funds to a meaningful investment would be welcoming upon acquiring knowledge with respect to the particular business one wants to go into. This will help to cusion the level of poverty in the society.

Greed is the reason why people get trapped in scams and Shilling projects. They fail to do their research d conducting due diligence to having more knowledge and idea of the investment they are about going into.
Crypto influencers are the medium through which these scammers perpetrates evil acts. They know what the masses and investors wants to hear so they play inline with their minds and intelligence to get at the in investing in their scam projects. It is unfortunate many are still ignorant of the  gimmicks and tricks of these influencers and their paymasters.
2020  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Patricia breached, bitcoin and naira stolen. on: May 29, 2023, 02:05:05 PM
Costly mistakes people make which affects them in the long run. Centralised exchange is not secured and safe for keeping of funds. If a centralised exchange well known globally can face hack how much more about this low grade exchange wey no even get better backup sef.

For quite a long time the campaign has been on and people are advised not to store or save their Crypto assets with centralized exchange as they can not be guaranteed of their assets safety but choose not to hear. I sorry for those who lost their bitcoin and funds held under the custody of Patricia exchange.

If the Patricia management are known they should be held accountable for their actions and a backup / repayment plan should be on course by now to remedy the situation.
