2001  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH = Game Over on: June 19, 2016, 06:05:02 PM
Excellent writeup. To be honest, ETH has no chances to ever fully recover. Sure, you can expect the price to go up and down for a while, since there is a lot of people involved with deep pockets, but in the long run the thing is done for. Vitalik is acting as if he was Ben Bernanke with all that "hey guys, stop the exchanges" insanity. This is just too deep of a fuckup to recover. I just hope that everyone was able to sold their ETH on Poloniex before it got locked.

I thought the problem was DAO, not ETH. That's like blaming dollar as a currency if some big bank or investment using dollars fails. Sure, it will hurt in the short term but in the long term, why not go up again? BTC has recovered nicely from the same disasters in the past. Mt. Gox hack was 10x worse than this, no, and here wee see BTC climbing to 1000 again. One has to have balls to buy ETH now but it will probably make many people earn lots of money buying cheap ETH now.

It's ETH problem too. Who created ETH? Vitalik Buterin. Who panicked and start acting like a central banker trying to stop all trade of ETH to stop people from panic selling ? Vitalik Buterin. Therefore, this sets an ugly precedent and makes the creator of ETH someone that you can't trust.
2002  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many people own 21 BTC aproximately? on: June 19, 2016, 05:56:22 PM
21 moondollars at current price is around $8800. I am from Europe and you can achieve this mark in 1 year or half a year if you allocate like 10% of your salary into a uᴉoɔʇᴉq fund. $5000 a month is an average salary here. By the way there are high-paying jobs like medical specialists lawyers engineers etc. that can make $10 000 in a month easily People with good education have the means to buy more than 21 moondollars at any given moment there is no doubt about that. The only question is if they believe in uᴉoɔʇᴉq to make the purchase.

Things are changing fast. Now at current price, 21 BTC entry point has been raised to: $16.060! Amazing, it's now two times harder to enter with that position than it was 2 months ago.

This is why people owning 21 BTC already are part of elite, because it will get harder fast, really fast to own 21.
2003  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / How to get Bitcoin inside North Korea? on: June 19, 2016, 05:54:23 PM
Imagine a Bitcoin revolution inside North Korea. I find this idea fascinating, of some underground people starting spreading Bitcoin around. The problem is they just have some sort of intranet.. so how would we be able to start spreading nodes inside North Korea? This would be great to start an underground economy beyond the dictatorship of that fat dude.
2004  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why in some countries Bitcoin is banned on: June 19, 2016, 05:52:40 PM
Governments hate freedom and thats why a lot of countries will never be pro Bitcoin, so we will have to deal with that fact. The hope is that Bitcoin can sneak into any country as long as the country has internet accessible. So the only shithole without Bitcoin is North Korea.
2005  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Copa america 2016 dicussion on: June 18, 2016, 03:40:31 PM
With Brazil out of the tournament, and with a Messi that is looking pretty good, Argentina should win the copa America 2016, if its not this year, then I fear Messi will never win a national title, so I think he will try its best to score.
2006  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Euro 2016 on: June 18, 2016, 03:26:26 PM
What a fantastic performance by the Belgian team today, they finally managed to show what they are capable of and totally dominated Ireland all over the pitch. Belgium can do great things on this competition if their game is on point like today. Now for the remaining 2 matches today I have something in mind and would like to share it with you guys. Iceland vs Hungary I fancy taking Hungary +0.5 @ 1.5 odds because Iceland has no experience playing on big tournaments and Hungary will capitalize on that and probably win the match and I can't see them losing today. And as for Portugal vs Austria I like half time draw because I expect both teams to play carefully in the beginning of the game. Good luck everyone tonight  Wink

I also think Iceland might not make it again. They were lucky against Portugal, but as Cristiano Ronaldo said, they cannot win a top tier tournament like an Eurocup by doing this shit for the rest of the event.

I hope that Ronaldo can score some goals against Austria, I may bet a win on Portugal, but CR is never comfortable playing on the national team for some reason.

2008  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DAO Ethereum What Happened Hacked on: June 18, 2016, 03:11:53 PM
It's very easy. Someone very smart, found a way to LEGALLY exploit a smart contract. He didn't add code, didn't twist anything, just found a weakness on the code itself. Since the idea of DAO is "proceed as coded", he legally deserves all the stolen money.
The fact that Vitalik is trying to rollback to steal the money from the hacker is, in my book, a death sentence for ETH. I would move ALL of my funds to BTC if you haven't already. The thing is, it seems Vitalik froze ETH market as well.. which is the ultimate fuckup.
2009  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: partnership program on youtube on: June 18, 2016, 03:05:27 PM
i decided to start this thread so I can see what you bitcoiners think about a new youtube partnership program which pays out in BTC instead of paypal or any other types of payment processors many of you might like this if you have had enough of partner networks which still do not accept bitcoins as of yet. Let me know if it is a good idea and will it last if adding a unique way of getting paid

This would be a success. Youtube is filled with kids making decent amounts of money monthly, sometimes more than their own parents. They hate that they can't deal with their own business. So imagine if you arm kids with bitcoin accounts where they have their own money and can spend it any way they like because they have won them after all, not their parents. When kids grow up making Bitcoin off the internet once they are old enough to sign up for a bank account, they will think banks are annoying as hell.
2010  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: XKCD apparently accepts Bitcoin donations on: June 18, 2016, 02:55:59 PM
It's just a website where the creator makes small comics. I think 100% of content creators will end up accepting BTC because paypal donations are just annoying as hell to deal with compared to simply having a BTC address.
We need confidential transactions and default coinjoin first tho, since if you are accepting donations, people can see how much money you are making which is stupid.
2011  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 10 bitcoin or 10 bitcoins? on: June 18, 2016, 02:45:09 PM
When it's writed, it's better to say BTC. Of course in real life you can't say "BTC" since it sounds as stupid as saying "USD", so we should follow the same logic and all it bitcoins, just like we say dollars, rubbles, euros...
2012  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Euro 2016 on: June 17, 2016, 01:40:21 PM
Sweden is always scary due Zlatan Ibrahimovic, a guy that is like 6'3'' and really fast and skilled can always destabilize your defense and score a lot of corners with head reach.
Italy has a very robust game tho, they are even worse than what we saw with Iceland as in they do the defensive part very good, they have won tournaments being defensive 1 goal only.
2013  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to quit Gambling for good? on: June 17, 2016, 01:24:20 PM
The art of gambling is similar to the art of day trading, you need to know when to say it's enough and then withdraw your gains. The problem is greed.

The only reason to be greedy is when you think a long term project has the solid fundamentals to make you rich, so in this case, it's good to be greedy with BTC, and what i mean is, its good to buy and hold and not sell it by any means. Its the difference between long term to short term investments.
2014  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC price doubled - is halving now priced in? on: June 17, 2016, 12:57:01 PM
We need to go on the 800 area to consider something like that, and even then, the potential to grow is too strong to stay there, I think inertia of the bullish market will push us beyond 1000+ area rather soon.
2015  Economy / Speculation / Re: Made new video: "My Bitcoin & Altcoin Cash Out Strategy" on: June 17, 2016, 12:52:43 PM
Do you really think that a new bubble is in the making? It's highly likely that we've hit the top of the bubble that's currently going on. Don't be too optimistic.

I've been hearing people saying 500 was the top of the bubble, 550 was the top of the bubble, 600... and so on and so on, and then here we are, 750 and growing.
The thing is, no one knows, but it's bull as hell. It seems to me we will go 1000+ rather soon, and now you can count millions that are going to migrate from ETH to BTC since ETH is having big problems.
2016  Economy / Speculation / Re: 10 BTC. Will I be a millionaire by 2030? on: June 17, 2016, 12:44:24 PM
If crypto is a success, then it will be Bitcoin, not other coin. So everything is pointing at double figure holders being rich in a decade. I would advice you to keep getting more BTC by all means, you need to enter the 21 BTC club before its too late to guarantee you have a good position long term.
2017  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: PH is now considering Bitcoin on: June 17, 2016, 12:37:29 PM
Countries would benefit from using Bitcoin, but right now I don't think it's suitable. Until we have Lightning network working to accept massive volume, no amount of raise of the block size will solve anything in terms of dealing with massive volume of transactions.
2018  Economy / Speculation / Re: Unnatural Bitcoin Price Growth Cannot Be Sustained Indefinitely on: June 17, 2016, 12:29:37 PM
Bitcoin is undervalued as hell, and Bitcoin can perfectly sustain more money coming in, it just means you have to pay an higher fee if you want your transaction to go faster. We are not going to rush things so we end up like ETH with their absolute disaster we have seen today. It's better to make progress in a slow, but solid fashion, than to rush things, so pay the fucking fees and let the coders keep doing a good job.
2019  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Finally Some Sensible News About Bitcoin price rally! on: June 17, 2016, 12:27:07 PM
Mainstream media is already starting to report on the Bitcoin rally:

http://www.bloomberg.com/news/videos/2016-06-16/what-s-driving-the-bitcoin-rally

I still haven't seen the video, I will watch later but I don't expect much from mainstream media anyway. In any case, it's always cool to see Bitcoin on the big TV stations.
2020  Other / Archival / Re: LISK TEEAM DO ANYTHING!!! on: June 17, 2016, 12:24:08 PM
My friend, you are learning the harsh way that having your BTC is an high risk. Sure, thanks to alts you can become rich, but you can lose your BTC.
My recommendation is to go all-in on BTC right now, but it's your money and your decision.
