Videos are back at Land of Bitcoin.
2002  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What if BTC=$25. Will u b effected? on: June 23, 2013, 04:57:22 PM
I would be affected: it would make me buy all the bitcoins I can
Guess you'd be one of the few raising it's value.

One of the few?  I doubt it will ever get this low again because so many will be buying it up at bargain prices.
2003  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: FREE BITCOIN Sites *and* Free Newbie Lotto on: June 23, 2013, 04:32:35 PM
I'll add my sites to the list! They're both mostly about economy/mining but there are some free faucet links too:

This thread's list is for sites that give out free Bitcoin, not for sites that list free Bitcoin sites.

The free Bitcoin sites you have listed are already on this thread's list and are not hidden behind dubious coinurl links.

There are very many sites that have lists of free Bitcoin sites, and many of them can't be trusted...
and many more of them are a spammy inconvenience.  That is why this thread exists.
All the sites are verified before being added, and it is monitored by many people who check it everyday.

Thanks anyway

Yeah LandofBitcoin hasn't put up videos in a day or two, and the captcha rewards have dropped significantly (~100 sats to 1-10 sats). Hope they arent having problems, it was my favorite. You could build up to whatever ammount before transfering to avoid fees and it paid pretty well.

Anyway, thanks for the listing and lotto, I'll see how my luck goes:

I think that you've got one of the biggest base of btc address

There is only 900 entries in the database at any time.  Why? Do you think I am collecting them for the NSA or something?   Cheesy
2013  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Highest paying earn bitcoin site? on: June 21, 2013, 09:52:16 PM
I also have absolutely zero interest in a thread called "how do I get free bitcoins"...

Then I am done trying to have a mature conversation with you... just another troll who takes as much time and effort, to tell us how we are wasting our time, as it takes for someone to check through all the faucets.

But feel free to keep lecturing everyone else on what fools they are...  I am sure it must make you feel very intelligent.

Btw, That thread was titled: What good is it if one only gets very very small amounts?

And here is the complete contents since you are too lazy to check it out:

A reply I made in another thread about the complaint that free bitcoin sites, like the ones listed here, are not worth it... what good are they if one only gets very very small amounts that is not worth the time... etc.

---

Well no one, I hope, is suggesting that this is a viable source of income which
will allow one to give up their regular job.    Cheesy
( then again, who knows what 0.0053 BTC [the amount complained about] might be worth several years from now. )

When I first found out about Bitcoin I wanted to try it out as soon as possible; I am sure many other newbies are the same.

Signing up to some exchange or using some of the other methods for buying bitcoins can be a hassle, and can have fees higher
than someone just wanting to try things out would like.

So using these few free bitcoins sites can be a good way of trying things out... it is exciting to get that first payment to ones
wallet... and if other newbies are like me they will be just as excited to gather enough together to send them off to a friend
or a worthy charity or the like, in order to try sending as well as receiving.

And getting new users excited about Bitcoin and getting them using it right away can only be good for Bitcoin as a whole.

2015  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: If BITCON is Gold, LITECOIN Silver, which ALT Coin can be considered Copper? on: June 21, 2013, 07:53:09 PM
If BITCOIN is Gold, LITECOIN Silver, which ALT Coin be considered Copper?

For years we had three primary metal's that were well established within our currency.  Before Nixon took the US off the Gold standard in 1971, Gold was directly convertible for US Dollars.  And before the coinage Act in the late 60's Silver was widely used in Quarters and Dimes.

Now with copper prices going through the roof, Canada recently eliminated the penny all together, which was 99% Copper pre 1996.

With crypto currencies taking center stage some have argued that BITCOIN is the gold Standard.  Now I know about BITBAR and that is an interesting concept but for simplicities sake lets assume as far as Cryptos are concerned, BITCOIN is the GOLD standard Coin.  LiteCoin was considered to be the Silver standard, so that just begs the question what Alt coin could be considered the Copper standard?

I look forward to your comments.

Peace.

Litecoin is not silver but pyrite to Bitcoins gold.  It is not much more than a clone that offers no 'significant' advantages over BTC.

If anything is silver to Bitcoin's gold it is Namecoin, which offers many different uses... not only a decentralized domain name service.
It is not about some get-rich-quick pump-and-dump scheme for speculators.

It is disappointing to see so many treat Bitcoin as nothing more than a commodity to speculate on.

I guess one needs to have a wide ranging vision and knowledge, if not expertise, in many different fields and disciplines
to truly grasp its revolutionary... evolutionary... potential.

Hey http://www.bitcoinforest.com/
It's been almost a week and you have
not paid my little sister.

Hopefully that will get someone's attention Smiley

Apparently someone at bitcoinforest heard me.
They paid my sister 0.00016000 BTC today. After
a whole week of hourly visits and all the videos
offered ? ? ?
They still owe my sis about 0.00090000 BTC.
Unless they meant 0.00000100 BTC when they say
"Complete captcha to receive .00001 Bitcoins FREE "

Told her to not waste time with them, now she
knows.

Thanks for the report. I am watching it closely currently... but just whether the faucets itself pays out as advertised.

Still haven't seen a payout from the faucet after more than 24 hrs.  I have marked it with an * for now...

It took them a week to pay my sis. They paid her about 1/10 of what she was supposed to get. There is no way to check your earning on the site. Scam ? I am inclined to say so  Why deal with site like that when you can get 0.00004000 BTC for each video watched on bitcoinget ? And bitcoinget pays daily.

Oh, and thanks for all the reports you post on your, and your sister's, experience with these various sites.   Smiley

What are the best sites for acquiring shares in ASIC MINER?

It is true you have to be careful where you buy shares in any Bitcoin venture.

Havelock Investments is one site I feel that is one of the most trustworthy. Don't take my word for it but check it out for yourself.

Come up with your own thing, this is the digital age after all. Quit sitting on your ass expecting someone to hand you free money for nothing.

Invent a damn faucet for gods sake, because you must be stupid if you don't think someone, somewhere is getting rich off all you fools.

Also... I don't imagine any of these faucet operators come close to what I make with my own "digital age" business... [ none of your business ]
( I have been working with computers since the 70's )

You have no idea...    Tongue   LOL
2019  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Highest paying earn bitcoin site? on: June 21, 2013, 07:07:32 PM
You'll make more than 2$ an hour selling lemonade at the street corner.

Hell, do it in your underwear, call it lemonude, get internetfamous.

What is wrong with all you people who are trying to talk people, who may be just starting out, from the trying and testing the Bitcoin system for themselves.
If you don't get enough from these faucets etc. then don't use them. Let other people make their own decisions.
It isn't about making a living from the, admittedly, very small payouts...

What good is it if one only gets very very small amounts?
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=74046.msg1088930#msg1088930

And the idea that the BTC one gets is dust and can't be spent is untrue as well.
Most faucets these days allow one to delay payouts until a reasonable amount has built up.
Educate yourselves before spreading nonsense.

Back to the topic: Bitcoinget is good for some people ( e.g. videos available to view are often dependent on ones location )
but there are lots of other sites that some may find better... and of course there is nothing wrong with using them all.

Free Bitcoin Sites ( newbie version, including newbie lotto )
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=90718

Btw, when I first started trying these things out back in the middle of 2011 people were making the same complaints
about the small payouts. 0.01 BTC? 0.10 BTC?   pffft!

I have made well into the double digits and that is worth something significant today and will no doubt be worth a
lot more in the future.

Ridiculous.

Do you know how much you could have now had you not wasted your time jumping through hoops for nickels? Imagine if you bought ten coins back then, just ten for around $100, instead of wasting your life on stupid sites like that. Hell, imagine you went out and got a part time minimum wage job instead of wasting time on faucets and directed ALL of those profits to bitcoins.

I bought over a thousand BTC back then at an average price under $6.  I don't maintain the newbie lotto thread to make money. I don't need it.

Did you read the post I linked to? Of course you didn't. You are only interested in telling people how stupid they are for wanting to use these faucets
to start learning about and using Bitcoin.

What good is it if one only gets very very small amounts?

Why deal with site like that when you can get 0.00004000 BTC for each video watched on bitcoinget ? And bitcoinget pays daily.

For me I haven't seen many videos show up in the past few days at bitcoinget. Even free.btc.pt hasn't had many either for me.
Land of Bitcoin seems to have more in the last little while.
