Not just Tiger Woods but there are other big names in Sports who are dominating in their respective sports and later on, they will be against the odds as the Favorite. Not just that they already falling off of their prime but there are always competitors who will try to take their spotlight.

After all, Tiger Woods' reputation will be cemented forever as one of the greats. Placing money for him might be worthy too with the right analysis or just a simple reason that placing a bet for him as a support.

Feel bad for Javi Gomez de Liaño. After being drafted by Ginebra he was traded right away to Terrafirma DYIP.

Trades are usual but what I like to point out here is that Javi even tweeted that his dream was playing at Ginebra and it happened for real. Even Coach Tim Cone has a lot of good words for him. But later on, he was shipped to Terrafirma as this team requested him according to Coach Tim.

But he's in the right team for me. He will have more minutes in Terrafirma compared to Ginebra which already has lots of Guards and Forwards. He should show Ginebra what they give up.

The event isn't over yet and even the op still hopes that other countries could catch up. I don't know if which country he resides but if he lives on Vietnam then he is a nice guy because he is not biased. You live in Thailand but why you are losing hope already and believes that Vietnam will take the lead? Tell me, do you have hate on your own country?

What are you saying, bro? You should accept the reality that a 4th rank has a low chance now to catch up with the 1st rank which is the host country. You can really expect that the host country will dominate the event in almost all categories.

It doesn't mean that the user is giving up or hates the country. It's accepting the fact that is close to happening. Don't take the user's statement as a big deal.

It's already decided even though the event is not over yet.
2004  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: May 18, 2022, 11:10:47 PM

I'm disregarding any analysis for now and won't be in my usual bettor mode.

I will just place my bet on the Dallas Mavericks regardless of the odds because I want to.

In the whole playoffs series, the Dallas Mavericks never won a Game 1 yet. I like them being an underdog for an odds boost. They might lose on this Game 1 but my bet is still for them. I'm really biased at Dallas Mavericks since then. Smiley

Gaya ng sabi ko, Mavericks all the way na.

2007  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Crawford vs Spence on: May 16, 2022, 11:59:10 PM

Don't worry guys, this fight will really happen at high chance.

Errol Spence not concerned with Canelo, focused on Crawford fight

The fact that Spence is focused on Crawford, that's a good sign where in fact, he's not even interested before and Crawford is the one aggressively requesting for their match. We just have to wait for any information as that might be on work already but the public is not just aware.

Please take a read at the article, there's a good information there.
2008  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Western Conference Finals (Warriors vs Suns/Mavericks) on: May 16, 2022, 11:55:03 PM

Dallas Mavericks established new achievements these playoffs with Luka Doncic on board.

First-time playoffs appearance since 2011
First-time homecourt advantage in the 1st round playoffs since 2011

Even though odds tell me that Phoenix Suns has all the advantages, I want the Mavericks to add some new achievement these playoffs.

Maybe the following:

First-time upsetting a no.1 seed team in the playoffs
First-time reaching the Western Conference Finals since 2011

Smiley

Who wouldn't love a cinderella story like that? Upsetting Suns the top 1 and beating them in a game 7 thriller away from home and on the road?

Everything still rest on Luka's shoulder in game 7, he need to produce MVP numbers and then have the support of his players like Brunson, Dinwiddie, Bullock and Finney-Smith. It's going to be very difficult but not impossible to do.

And it now happened. They now finally upset the dominating team in the Western Conference this season.

Although the next one is really tough, I'm sure it's not that Mavericks is the heavy underdog here. I like how Dallas Mavericks role players step up on Game 7. No one even thinks that Mavericks will pin down Suns on up to 46 big points. They put the top Phoenix Suns in embarrassment here as the second team in the NBA that experienced an over 30+ point deficit in the history of Game 7. Aside from that, playing in Game 7 against the host team is tough to do.

Not saying Mavericks has a high chance to beat the Warriors but I will look forward to that.
2009  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 31st South East Asian Games on: May 16, 2022, 11:46:05 PM
People are more inclined to focus on earning or finding job.  As we know this pandemic makes many of us unemployed.  So I think it is also one factor why the media rating declined this current South East Asian Games.

I don't know about other countries but I understand it here in the Philippines. The media here is focused on the National Election for months which is a big thing here because of the frontrunner. That's why during the start of SEAGAMES, I rarely saw a news clip about it as almost all media here are focused on giving Election updates and related to it.

PH always has a good number of viewers when the country is performing at outside events. It's just the event was covered by other big news and in fact, most people here aren't even aware that there's a SEAGAMES ongoing.

That's my own view.
2010  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your NBA Champion this season? on: May 16, 2022, 11:41:08 PM
If I'm being honest I had the mavs counted out first round, I thought they matched up oddly against the Jazz.  This feels kinda like the year they won ot with Dirk.  Wasn't buying in until they just kept rolling in the playoffs.

That's what I even noticed too at the majority especially when Luka Doncic is reportedly out from the first 2 to 3 games in the first round because of his unexpected injury a few days before the playoffs started. That boosts the odds of the Mavericks winning the championship. Others concluded already that Jazz will beat the Mavericks after the 1-0 advantage in Game 1 which added another boost from the odds of the Mavericks. But Brunson steps up when Luka is on a recovery period and later on, they beat the Jazz without even a big struggle.

Against the Suns, the same impression on the Mavericks that they won't stand a chance of beating the West's top seed but it didn't happen.

Now with 4 teams remaining, did anybody already put bets here on who will win the NBA title or still thinking?
2011  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: May 16, 2022, 11:25:39 PM

Seems JuneMar Fajardo is now finally back on track as he unleashed again his "Kraken Mode" on PH's recent win against Thailand in the ongoing Southeast Asian Games. That's so far the best performance of the SMB Bigman after his long recovery from the injury that sits him for almost 2 years.

Even the PH won, I have a big concern here. PH is the most dominant country in basketball in Southeast Asia for years and they almost beat their opponents in a large lead regardless of who's on our roster pool. Here in their recent win against Thailand, PH was doing a rally all throughout the game as they are always behind.

I know the win is a win but this just shows that the team has a bit of a problem. Honestly, we shouldn't have a problem competing against SEA countries in basketball but they struggle against Thailand. I see that the PH roster is good that's why I don't understand what happened in that game.

Maybe other SEA countries are now doing their best to improve their roster and defeating PH is something like a big recognition for them that's why they are pumped against PH.
2012  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Inoue vs Donaire II discussion on: May 16, 2022, 11:18:07 PM
Well, actually if you believe that Donaire will win in this match, that kind of scenario should happen in the fight. No way Donaire will win if the fight goes to the judges' scorecard, he won't last 12 rounds having the same power he has in the early round as Inoue is faster than him, so Donaire will be exhausted.

Actually, that's my concern - stamina.

Remember in their first fight, Donaire gives early heavy damage to Inoue and almost a possible Knock Out if Donaire was able to pin him down more. However, the Japanese monsters take time to recover and grab the late rounds. Since he is much younger, Inoue has more stamina and does some quiet safety moves after the heavy blows he received from Donaire.

And since the fight is now taking too long, both fighters are now exhausted but more noticeably with Donaire which is obvious why. I'm sure Donaire is working on his stamina since then but it's just that, Naoya really has lots of it.

I even have a concern right after the announcement of their rematch that the event will take place in the same arena they fought first. I mean, they already fight there in favor of the Japanese crowd, why set it up again on the advantage of the monster. And then I remember way back to the peak of the pandemic that Inoue's camp is willing not to have a fight unless it will be on his country. That's why I like Donaire to win this fight in front of Inoue's home crowd.
2013  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: May 16, 2022, 11:09:35 PM
Dinwiddie and Brunson's duo is sure to be feared, I mean, Brunson could even attack the tallest player in the paint and can still shoot it and the same goes for Luka.

My concern is on Spence Dinwiddie. Looks like he's still adjusting to the playoffs environment although his average got improved in this Suns series. Almost the entire Dallas Mavericks are first time in playoffs especially here in the Western Conference Finals that's why I look forward to him that he will find his consistency in every game since being pressured is no room in playoffs. He is really good and Dallas Mavericks will be a big threat to the remaining teams if he founds his rhythm.

Prior to the first round of their playoffs series, I even thought Dinwiddie will be the number 2 but Jalen Brunson did. I have no problem with Brunson as he really allows Luka to be the playmaker and he's there doing his best as a backup. And when Luka is not on the floor, Jalen Brunson will take over and he is doing a great job taking the playmaking decision.

Jalen Brunson is really different compared to when Luka is paired with Dennis Smith Jr. and Kristap Porzingis. It's a good decision that the Mavericks traded these players as they were "orb-effect" to Luka. (DOTA term Cheesy)
2014  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your epic fail experience in gambling on: May 16, 2022, 11:01:31 PM

I'm a gambler for around 2 decades and have already experienced lots of losses on the way. But still, I can consider myself responsible and the fact that I'm posting here properly is the proof of that lol. Anyways, I don't really think too much of my big losses or failures for long. I'm used to keeping that disappointment or regrets for about 2-3 days then I will back again to regain my confidence and move on.

As long as gamblers learned their mistakes after a mistake and after a mistake and so on, we will automatically improve our gambling skills regardless of what gambling types we are playing with.

That's why I don't treat gambling as fun to the point that I will just allow my bet to lose? I always read that statement here in gambling discussions that it's alright for them to lose money since they afford to lose it and they are just getting fun not realizing that the amount they afford to lose is now big in total. Never.

The fun part is when I get profits - that's why I'm doing my best to win.
2015  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 31st South East Asian Games on: May 16, 2022, 10:50:44 PM
I am not saying there's bias, but for the athletes, they are in their comfort zone, so maybe, they are performing much better.
Also, they have the large part of audience supporting them giving a good boost in their morale.

As you pointed out and if we refer to the history of SEAGAMES, host countries do have a 90% chance to dominate the overall medal tally.

I remember when our country hosts the event, the crowd is really intimidating and those cheers will really pump up the athletes while on the other hand, it's a big distraction to the visitors. That alone is a hard wall to break for a visiting country.

And no, there are no biased results in most cases as games are witnessed live and as far as the overall experience is concerned, no such thing as several big controversies happening yet up to now.
2016  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA _ Phoenix Suns vs Dallas Mavericks - 2nd round on: May 16, 2022, 10:41:57 PM
I also hope that CP3 doesn't retire, in these last seasons he played in the NBA he gave his blood in that games!
I sincerely wish he gets his dreamed ring that for me he deserves to win before he retires!!

But he is not consistent in a pressure game. I don't know what's happening to him every year. He began to slow down and shows inconsistency after getting the 2-0 advantage in this series. The reason might be, that Dallas Mavericks were able to think of a way to slow him down. Once Chris Paul was contained, it will affect the whole Suns' gameplay and the only gunner that the Mavericks need to focus on is Devin Booker, as the only player in the Suns that is consistent.

Anyways, since the series is now over. OP can now consider locking the thread.
2017  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Celtics vs Bucks 2nd round Series. on: May 16, 2022, 06:24:21 AM
Celtics starting players show an impressive shooting accuracy and all of them is contributing in all aspects of the game. Even Jayson Tatum is not scoring the majority of there points since his team mates can do the rest unlike Bucks which Giannis and Holiday making points contribution. Giannis has 20 rebound which is x2 of Brook Lopez rebound. Giannis is carrying too much burden on this game that's why Celtics use it against Bucks to finally take down this one man team that focus to Giannis. Celtics has a lot of versatile player and this game was Celtics lucky match because they stop Giannis while the rest of the team has a good FG.

Grant Williams becomes the star of the night. He is red-hot at the 3-point area. The same goes with Payton Pritchard which I pointed out before way back the Celtics vs Nets that he's one of the keys to why Boston Celtics are on-fire that series.

These 2 Celtics players are not consistent but if they were able to activate their best, they are big contributors to the Celtics without putting too much effort into their key scorers Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown.

If these 2 will be consistent in their upcoming series against the Miami Heat, expect that the Celtics might get their revenge on their bitter loss last 2020 Eastern Conference Finals where the Heat won 4-2.
2018  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: May 16, 2022, 06:11:49 AM

As I always hoped for, Dallas Mavericks will erase the majority's view on them prior to the start of their second-round playoffs mission that they are nothing against the Phoenix Suns. I'm glad that I'm close now on my NBA Outright bet although Golden State Warriors is really a tough wall to break.

From Utah Jazz, Phoenix Suns, and right now, Golden State Warriors, the Mavericks is always the underdog prior to the start of the series.

I will keep supporting the Mavericks until the end of their rally. I know Warriors is one of the team-to-beat in the league but since Dallas Mavericks were able to eliminate the most dominant team in the Western Conference, I'm sure they can take a shot too in beating the Warriors.

Mavericks is really good as long as their role players get on work. Spence Dwinwidie was now able to step up here in Game 7, the only game in their Suns series where he breached 15+ points.
2019  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Crawford vs Spence on: May 15, 2022, 11:58:41 PM

Right now, as far as my browsing and searching related to this are concerned, the expected bout between Crawford and Spence is still unclear up to this point. No ongoing negotiations or status is been released.

But this has to happen no matter what. Even Jemell Charlo said that Crawford needs to pass Spence.

Unfortunately for Crawford, Charlo thinks that he won't stand a chance against Spence that's why there will be no discussion of future fights between him and Crawford. What's your opinion on this guys?

If this is true, then it's heartbreaking news for us boxing fans because we already speculating the kind of fight these two will give us inside the ring. Boxers can't do anything when their manager is against it and they are just following it despite their fans wanting it to happen. Anyway, hoping to see more of their fight no matter who will be the opponent, and let's just hope they will gonna end up negotiating their fight in the future after winning some fights against other boxers of course.

I haven't seen some news related to it yet but it doesn't mean it won't happen. Maybe there are ongoing works but information related to that maybe not just disclosing it to the public to avoid the spoil. That's usual and who knows we might be got surprised with the official announcement anytime.

Remember what Spence Jr. said before his fight against Yordenis Ugas? He will have 2 fights before moving up weight - that was against Yordenis Ugas and surely, the other one is against Terence Crawford.
2020  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Eastern Conference Finals (Heat vs Bucks/Celtics) on: May 15, 2022, 11:54:29 PM

It's not Boston Celtics vs Miami Heat

Boston Celtics seem to have far better performance compared to Miami Heat overall this playoff. Why? I looked at their all losses and check the stats. The Celtics during their losses still established good stats in most cases. As for Miami Heat, I've checked some of their losses and they are really at worst on those nights.

However, Heat is much different today. I'm sure, for every team that Miami Heat faces, there's always a different adjustment.

Still, I can't say who has the upper edge. Both teams are equal to me. After all, they finished 1st and 2nd in the Eastern Conference.
