Fake Solana Phantom security updates push crypto-stealing malware

This security update said to be from Phantom but no, it is from hackers. Not even a security update but instead they are NFTs that will introduce malware into your wallet to compromise and steal from it.

Quote
"Phantom requires all users to update their wallets. This must be done as soon as possible," reads the warning in the fake Phantom update NFT.

"Failing to do so, may result in loss of funds due to hackers exploiting the Solana network. Visit www.updatePhantom.com to get the latest security update."

Read in details: Fake Solana Phantom security updates push crypto-stealing malware

To risky to be seen by newbies since this kind of updates schemes used by hackers is kinda convincing since for sure when they see that they update just to think that there wallet should be updated to get more better experience for using the wallet. For seeing this always good to ask the support about some certain steps to be made so that we can verify is the said updates is truly legitimate.

Maybe for now yes he has a good contribution to the team but what about for next succeeding years? For sure his game play will decline more and leadership will not totally help their team for more longer times since for sure its just a waste of their asset to spend a huge contract for a possible bench warmer. Green is 32 years old and giving max contract is not totally worth for the management
Yeah, it's almost impossible for old player to stay in basketball since every year there's a young generation who's more aggressive and fast that would outplayed old player. In the next few years he will get replaced by Jonathan Kuminga.

That's why maybe GSW management is thinking more deeply if they want to spend a lot of money just to sign him since he will might lose a lot since they have Poole which is so young and Looney which is more valuable for their money. So most provably the chance of green to get the contract he want is so slim especially right now he's facing a big controversy which most likely will affect his request.

Interesting to know if they will weight it out and if who will be the deserving for the max contract.

Like what you said, Green's chance to sign his demand contract is slimmer since they have a lot of talents who are also deserving
for such increase, money wise GSW will play their cards here, and for sure they can come up with another good deal the way
they take Wiggins and convert him to become a good two-way player.

This is tough for GSW because Green is valuable asset to them since he provide quality defense and assist to their main shooters for them to create score and also he's presence in court gives huge impact to them.

While Poole most likely to be the future of GSW since he has huge potential due to his skills show for their past games. He is projected to replace Curry once the baby face assassin retires.
2003  Economy / Economics / Re: The whole tipping culture in western countries is unfair and totally wrong! on: October 11, 2022, 11:09:16 AM
Its not mandatory but we're used to it already.
And its also because the guys in the restaurant will remember you don't give tips to them, they will spit and piss on your drink which I'm sure you won't like it.  This is why I also give tips to some waiters who will serve me on a restaurant because I've seen it first hand what they did to someone's food.

Well if they do that then don't eat at their fucking joint in the first place.

You get tips for being good to customers. If you act like an asshole to them then how do you expect to keep your job without customers?

And file a case if you found someone doing that since its really hazardous for your health if someone do that in purpose and for sure this doings will get busted since there's no wrong doings will continue.

But I don't think those restaurant staff will do it just for the tip and maybe they will do this nasty act because they don't like the behavior of their costumer.

2005  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How I Increased My Bitcoin and crypto Portfolio by 36% on: October 10, 2022, 10:25:34 PM
It has risks because if someone is just trying to follow @OP's tips and doesn't have the experience and ability to analyze market conditions, he will have difficulty deciding when to buy and sell. And HODL is the easiest way he can because he doesn't have to deal with the risk of losing his money. In addition, he can do other things that have nothing to do with crypto so that the funds he has are just waiting for the time to turn around.

The article can be a lesson for those who want to learn about strategies to increase their bitcoin number. But be careful when they try it because there's no guarantee that @OP's strategy will work for him.

That also mean that even though how successful the strategy to the person who said it still the person who copy it cannot assure to replicate the result since it will all matter the level of patience and how consistent the people are to do such strategy what they call. Also we cannot fully rely on this since for sure every phase have different result and might we cannot use this always.

So its good for every to develop different methods so that they can be consistent on their own trades without relying on someones ideas.
2006  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcasino.io 🖤 - 50K USDT prize pool: Road to Riches 💰 on: October 10, 2022, 08:47:50 PM
It's okay if you just guess and write your prediction right away but maybe your chances won't be as big if you do the analysis. You can try to do as much analysis as you can so that maybe it can give you a greater chance of winning. But if you are okay with the outcome, you can stick with your strategy of guessing how much it will cost later. And hopefully, luck can be yours.
Analysing BTC and other crypto prices is a complete waste of time if you ask me which is the primary reason why I prefer long-term HODLING over day-trading. I detest looking at charts, candles etc day and night basically.

Instead, it's better to simply pick a random price and hope that luck flies your way. Best strategy overall!

Indeed hodling is the best way since this is easiest one to take by newbies but we can't also take that daily trading is also good option for people who's patience is short and can't handle to much stress for seeing the market. Although for other its waste of time but spending time learning technical analysis and fundamentals is really worth it since you can learn something which is totally helpful on your trades.
2007  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 10, 2022, 10:51:46 AM
I cannot see the Warriors wanting to trade Green unless he gets pissed if they don't give him a max deal. While he is an asshole and a hothead, he also gets under players skin and throws off their game along with being a top tier defender. He's well worth keeping i'm just not sure he's worth max money.
He is not. Not anymore after that incident. He made a lot of analysts look deeper into his past performance and many NBA fans think he may not be worth the money anymore. Just one mistake made a lot of opinions about him flip.

What I didn't like after watching 20 minutes of 35 minutes of the press interview on Draymond? (Yes, I stopped midway because I didn't like what I am hearing.)
He said earlier in that interview that he won't go into details about how he came to decide on punching JP. Why? Because he doesn't want sympathy that would change the opinion of people.
Afterward, there are questions that can be answered in a short manner and yet he always makes it long with stories and repeated apologies.
For me, he is gaining sympathy by doing that and IMO, it was his plan. He may have not said the details but he did it in a way people won't realize they are already on his side because he sounded real.
He's a good talker, I give him that. Maybe he should continue his podcast career instead of NBA.
Yes, the guy is obviously worth a keep but definitely not worth a max contract. Even before this incident, I really don't think he can get a max contract. He's probably bluffing in order to get a better deal with his dying stats. He still got this season though to prove his worth. And we will see what the team chemistry looks like after this incident.

Draymond's podcast is getting more and more popular, especially when he won another title last season. He can really get a good job at commentating or even focusing on his podcast after his NBA career.

Maybe for now yes he has a good contribution to the team but what about for next succeeding years? For sure his game play will decline more and leadership will not totally help their team for more longer times since for sure its just a waste of their asset to spend a huge contract for a possible bench warmer. 2008  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Free NFTs are a waste of time on: October 08, 2022, 12:50:58 PM
Can free NFTs still make you money? I don't bother to claim free NFTs anymore because I have many that has no good use and value, also NFTs is tanking right now than shit coins, do you still claim free NFTs and are they worth anything? Maybe NFTs will make a comeback some day?
There are probably some NFTs that can make a profit in the future, but if it's a free hand, you should have a 1 in 1000 chance of getting lucky. I also think that picking up free NFTs is a waste of time, just like free airdrops back in the day. It's either the lucky ones or those who are good at it that get lucky.

Compare to those with airdrop token is somewhat different since sometimes we can really see some actual value which we can really earn from airdrops compare to free mint NFT's since from this we need to seek for buyerd before we can possibly earn on our free minted NFT's but we cannot expect to get any value because most of the free can only be sold for $1 or even no value at all.
2009  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does Trading Volume really matter ? on: October 08, 2022, 11:31:26 AM
I've only started noticing the Trading Volume stats on my favourite projects. I am a little intrigued as to what this exactly means, does it really matter much ? Some lesser known projects like Yield Yak have barely $4,000 in Trading Volume, yet the TVL is something like $50 million, whereas a better known project like Raydium has a Trading volume of more than $6 Million, with a TVL of only a little more than triple the TVL of Yield Yak  ( $160 Million TVL )
I'm also surprised that some lesser known gaming projects like Vulcan Forged have a high trading volume , whereas others ( like Axie Infinity ) have a relatively low trading volume.
The way I interpret it right now ( correct me if I'm wrong ) is that trading volume is high when an ecosystem is very active and adoption is growing relative to other projects, so it's a good indicator to buy into that project.

Volume is so important for a token because it can also tell that many people believe on the project where as those tokens who only have less volume which we can say people dislike or doesn't like what they are seeing for that project. It also important if you trading it because you can exchange easily without a problem if the token have huge volume compare to those token doesn't have any volume where you need to wait for people to buy your sell order before your order will get filled.

great conversion with his rewards! that player alone, freebitco can really sustain their presence in this market. don't forget up until now they don't need license to attract high rollers. that's what reputation is all about. it is about also how you treat the gambling community throughout the years, bearish, more bearish or bullish years. this site have seen so much in this crypto market, and they are still going strong despite those challenging years.

License is not totally required to have especially if the casino is old and they already have reputation built. For sure they provably not gonna mess up with their successful business because they are already sustainable and people which gamble to this casino already tested for past bearish season that they are still standing strong so no question about any other things and license discussion about them is just small requirement to have.
2011  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Too risky to leave BTC right now on: October 07, 2022, 08:21:49 PM
It's way too risky to be out of bitcoin right now because people are calling for 10,000$ per Bitcoin before they will start buying,  it sounds like when people are calling for 100,000$ per BTC months ago and the opposite happened, now people are calling for 10k again, the opposite might happen again, the best way to deal with this is start buying BTC every week, maybe on Mondays? This way you will feel better.....remember, when people are calling for the exact same thing the opposite always happens.

Do not sit back and do nothing

Its just assumption and you cannot say anything accurate to what people's sentiment at that time since its different scenario where market is in bullish since many people hope for more great things to happen. Also in bearish season we cannot also say that recovery might happen because we cannot still predict the outcome and might we could see the market dump more if more worst case situation occurs especially right now we are in crisis.
2012  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lack of bug bounties from gambling platforms on: October 07, 2022, 12:22:32 PM
Why aren't gambling websites using bug bounties to test-run their platform security? I haven't seen any gambling platform doing this, maybe that's why most gambling websites became prone to hacking? If I am wrong what gambling project do you think have the most secured system?, peace.

Maybe because some of casino are confident enough that their casino is totally safe and they have best guys working on security side or maybe even they pay already a white hat hackers to test their security since they think this is much better rather than paying those random guys which doesn't have programming background.

I may restart the campaign for Bitvest, stay tune for updates.
Hopefully this time it will happen, you've used the word
Quote
may
instead of will so there's really no guarantee that the campaign will start, the most important here is you're active here, and if the campaign will have a restart its better that you do it in a weekly payment this is recommended so you can regain your reputation, the monthly payment sometimes it took one and half month to be cleared, weekly payment will get you the best posters in the forum.
For sure they learn a lot of lesson from the mistake they made from the past but what good thing there is all of the participants got paid, so maybe they have proper ways to make things smooth especially on campaign payments. But I guess for this time around lightlord should hire those top tier managers so that he can trust those guys escrowing the funds intended for his campaign.
If ever they will run another campaign here on the forum, it's great if they'll be able to hire one of the best campaign managers out there. But even if it will be the same campaign manager as last time or any good manager out there, I think there should be any issue about that as the main issue last time was not the management rather it's the payment. Still, Escrow for the payment should be made to avoid the mistake that happened before.
The problem last time is delay of payments so I think they really need to fix this since its really much causing trouble to them since many people get curious if they starting to get a problem and maybe even think that they are shutting off. But since they are much doing good right now I guess its better to have good manager which can be trusted as an escrow also so that they can avoid the same mistake again and they can also run a campaign without encountering any problem.
2014  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Play to earn projects can be regulated too? on: October 06, 2022, 11:55:23 PM
Yes it can be regulated to especially if US or even the country where the project originated interfere the operation of the project and ask some requirements so that they can continue to operate. And this is good because we will know if the project can really provide what government required them to do before they can legally operate and as well we can see how serious the dev to sustain their project.
2015  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I find way to win on dice on: October 06, 2022, 09:56:47 PM
The only thing I see the intention of the post is to make people believe that he's always winning on the strategy he mention and then if someone believes him for what ge say he will ask for additional funds for him to gamble which huge money and gain more profit with that. This is classic form of scamming but I don't think such methods ill even work because we all know the intentions of random people coming here especially when there's money involve in discussions.
2016  Economy / Economics / Re: Are you ready to spend crypto when market is down on: October 06, 2022, 01:32:10 PM
Hello Everyone,

I am not speaking about just Bitcoin. I am speaking about every cryptocurrency / token.  Regardless of crypto price fluctuations, many online and offline stores are ready to accept crypto as payment. So How will willing are you to spend crypto for your purchases?

If one doesn't spend their crypto for purchases and wait for to spend their crypto when its price is nice, are they really considering it as a cryptocurrency or can we assume like those people are treating more like a security or investment instrument?

This will always be depends on what tokens you are telling about since there are shit tokens doesn't really worth it to be bought even if the market is so down since there are some of them will die naturally on bear market season as there dev decide to abandon their project and already want to secure their pockets.

If we are talking about top alts and other tokens maybe yes but I will be more careful since will try to seek some good position to enter to avoid wasting money.
2017  Economy / Gambling / Re: Cloudbet | Bitcoin Casino & Sportsbook | The No.1 Bitcoin Gambling Site on: October 06, 2022, 11:42:06 AM
My comment is not aimed in the direction of Cloudbet but is rather generic in that there is definitely a case to what you stated because those casinos that have a history going back years with positive reputation, reviews and feedback will try their best to keep themselves away from controversy. There are others on the flip side that could get a licence (or simply buy one) and trade for a while before selectively scamming users en-route to mass scamming and an exit strategy.

If I were to hazard a guess, I would be more inclined to believe newer casinos would be more likely to do it whereas established casinos would be less likely.

Still, I think we need to pay more attention not to the casino license, but to how long it works on the market. Reputation is important for a casino, and if a casino works for a long time, then it tries to do everything honestly in order to preserve its reputation.

If the casino values its reputation, it will do everything possible to preserve and maintain this reputation. It is very important that the casino is as transparent as possible in order to increase the trust of users and players.

Transparent on what? I think they privately made the investigation on the flag accounts so that those abuser will not get any idea on how to avoid them. So I guess its really good to wait for the investigation to bw done if there it since for sure the old casino which I think still running good will not ruin their build reputation.
2018  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 05, 2022, 11:54:40 PM
Fun game by the New Orleans Pelicans versus the Chicago Bulls.
The bench players' performance in the last quarter of the game made it look like it was a regular season.  Cheesy
NOP 129 - Bulls 125

The Pelicans look great, and Zion looks good (I can't tell if some weight was lost). They are a solid team and their bench looks promising too with Willy Hernangomez who won the Fiba Eurobasket MVP.
If healthy, I think they have a great chance to make a top seed. They will probably be one of the favorites this season.

I don't usually watch pre-season games because they aren't serious games. But I'm also excited at how the healthy Pelicans will end up this season. Their line-up is already good so all they need now is to perform well. I heard that Zion is on a seafood diet. Hopefully, it's not a giant octopus or tuna per meal. Cheesy

Yes, Zion losing weight is one of the biggest story this season. I think he listens to Barkley's criticism that he needs to lose up that belly, and in the end it will really benefit him and his team. They have a solid line up right now that is playoff bound with him and CJ in the side.

Not only with Barkley's criticism, but he listened to everyone's suggestion that he should lose some weight to unlock his full potential. Some people might have been starting to hate the kid for becoming so fragile after reaching the NBA, but I still believe he's not a bust and he'll eventually live up to the hype he once have after the draft night.
Hoping for him to bounce back and be as durable as LeBron.

I think he is not a bust, still very young although he was out last year, he still has a lot of potential to be the next face of the NBA like Giannis before him. And it's good that the kid listens to every critics of his, like Sir Charles and the rest of the basketball fans and analyst. And so with that new bod, for sure we will see a lot of improvement, he has the moves already and the shooting touch outside, he just need to be consistent and not injury prone and we wish we can see him play full season.

Definitely not a bust.  That's ridiculous.  When he's healthy he's one of the most if not the most dominant player in the NBA...

A lot of preseason games today but none on cable TV so I won't be able to watch any.  The only one that really seems interesting is the Lakers/Suns.  Tomorrow has a couple of good games though.  Heat/Nets should be a good one as we get another look at the Kyrie/KD/Simmons lineup.  Then on ESPN you have the Lakers and Timberwolves.  That one I will probably try to catch some of.  Smiley

Yeah to call him a bust at this point is definitely an over exaggeration at this point.  He does/did kind of have that Greg Oden could be a bust type of feel, but I have much higher hopes for Zion than I ever did for Oden ( Looked like he was 55 years old when he played for Ohio State).

Watched some of the Bulls Pelicans game last night.  Zion looked solid.  Definitely looks like he did some great offseason conditioning.

He got damn huge potential even if he didn't meet yet the expectation of the fans. And he's body built is cool now that means he really work hard to get more better performance next season opener. He's performance recently is really great and maybe we can see him giving quality buckets to his team since he looks very healthy by watching play vs bulls.
2019  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Privacy should be fought for on: October 05, 2022, 09:54:26 PM
Just be carefull where you expose yourself. If you don't really have much to hide then you do not need to worry all that much.

The internet is not the safest place to put personal information on for others to look into.

I bet the new generation has a totally different mindset since they do not know better then that there is internet. They can not
imagine a world without it. But a bit older people have awareness of when the television got introduced and later the birth of the internet.

Well I guess you don't need to worry much around if you are regular person without doing anything wrong so exposing yourself is kinda fine with that. But if you do something illegal maybe for sure you doubt about providing since you will get caught for doing something that can expose your identity.

Internet is not the safest place so we need to be more careful on platforms we go and to the people we meet online.
2020  Economy / Services / Re: POKER COURSES FOR SALE on: October 05, 2022, 12:30:14 PM
To many platform to seek information about those courses, there are free videos which we can locate if we just use the google search engine and also with youtube so buying this so called poker courses is just a waste of money because we can learn this for free.

Doubt there are people here will get interest about this because for sure they know that there are ways to get those for free and they don't need to spend anything just to learn how to play poker.
