2001  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bear market Survivals on: November 07, 2022, 03:28:34 PM
Any coin that survives this bear market will do well come the bull season
Not necessarily mate, there are coins that do well in one bear run only to recover a little in the next bull run and then get abandoned in the next bear run, because the developers become tired of the constant "crypto winters". Most altcoins are anyway going to be like that because this sector is niche and has a very small group to market on. Such altcoins will only come to make money for their own advisors and teams but then run away before you know it.

While mainstream markets survive bear runs because of a lot of supporters out there and because they already have a working product/service, such solid evidence is lacking in crypto where many vaporware projects run like anything.
2002  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is the bear market over? on: November 07, 2022, 03:21:53 PM
Indeed, if you look at the current economic situation, I don't think it's time for the bear market to end, because I see that there is still no high price increase in the market, because even if there is an increase, it will fall very quickly, so I don't think the bear market is over.
It is never over, it just the cycle that keeps on going. Thinking that "now we are out of the bad zone" is wrong because bear markets are not bad but they give us the time to buy at low and observe how the projects cope with the bad times, a stress-test.

High price rise also does not signify the bull market, but the sustained price rise and inflow of  more volume in the market would. A sudden price spike would also come down quickly, so they should not be given that much importance even though they seem very tempting to investigate as to what caused them, most cases the cause will not be clear.

While the world economics suffer, they will be dearth of money in crypto too, so better to wait it out for now. If the 0.6% gains of the last 7 days turn out to be a part of a bull trial, good for us.
2003  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: bull started? on: November 05, 2022, 10:11:01 AM
It could be that the bull has started as we're already in November, the month I believe favours Bitcoin. I won't be expecting anything contrary to a bullish movement from Bitcoin this month.
Well the price of bitcoin crossed 21k USD and I hope this is the first signs of the bull market. However the control over the excitement is necessary here. Be the pro trader who takes every movement as an opportunity to plan and make money and not go crazy over possible gains or losses.

December is coming and we might see winter in the crypto market as well. Whether a good time to buy, No in my opinion. Rather the upward trend means there will be an incoming selling pressure so wait it out. Rather one should have already bought.

Lesson to be learnt from these cycles for newbies, by the time the bull market starts, your bags should be full of the coin to be ready to dump at the high.
2004  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is regulation really inevitable? on: November 05, 2022, 10:07:24 AM
I just think like; when Bitcoin comes up to the world for the first time, they don't care about it instead of thinking that Bitcoin will "attack" fiat money. Then users are still growing, so they are thinking this is a "war". But finally, they can see that Bitcoin still can give huge benefits to their country, so the "main leader" is saying "let's regulate them".
Banning bitcoin has twofold problems:

1. Putting a ban on something like bitcoin means cutting down electricity and internet to a region, because these two things are essential to run a wallet and transact. This leads a lot more problems than solutions.
2. Banning something in general only raises public curiosity about it.

Coming to regulating bitcoin, government want to generate taxation from capital gains, so regulation is the two pronged sword here, it is a method to monitor the gains and keep launderers at check. Therefore average honest users will not face big problems with regulation.

Majority of the people who are against regulation have illicit bitcoins at hand, and hence they want to save their asses.
2005  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to earn some fractions of coins per day in this bear market? on: November 04, 2022, 03:24:48 PM
Now that Bear market is just getting started what are the most safest ways to make some small amounts of crypto every day without risking your assets? I am not considering trading because the risk of losing it all, any other ways?
If you are trying to point to staking pools, I dont think they are worth putting your money in.

Investing in a casino's bankroll is what I could suggest provided that casino has a long term reputation and you are willing to risk that money on that casino even in cases of hacks and cheating/exploit users. Because the casino always wins, it is like keeping money in a bank savings account and you get a decent percentage interest if you are keeping it in for years.

Beside that you would want to trade, not on altcoins but on bitcoin - trading will be giving you chunks of money at erratic intervals, depending on markets.
2006  Economy / Economics / Re: Life is a puzzle ! on: November 04, 2022, 10:52:13 AM
In my opinion life is not like a puzzle, but life depends on effort, prayer and of course destiny, people who are always lazy and think negatively will surely fail and suffer, but people who are always grateful and accept this life will be successful and happy.
I agree with your points here. If someone is pessimistic about everything in life they will grow more negative things and ultimately lead to more suffering. On the other hand people who are positive in their outlook tend to have more positive outcomes.

Similar in trading, having the opportunistic mindset to exploit every single movement to your advantage is necessary to be able to be successful. Ther will be ups and downs in the market, but selling at the top and buying at the low should not be missed.

In life bad things happen, but knowing how to find the positive in it is the way out. For that often friends and family support is necessary. So never ignore them.
2007  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Im looking For good signals channels on: November 04, 2022, 10:41:12 AM
To be honest, it is quite difficult to find sensible signals now. In addition, it is important to understand that the signals directly depend on the analyst himself.
It is not that simple as you think it is. Signals are only made to make the creator of that signal the winner. If you think that you will make profit only by copying the signals from other people, you are gravely mistaken.

We older members have seen the reality that newbies often look for such signal groups and hence scammers run these groups - they have fake membership fees and also fake signals to pump and dump their own coins.

This is how they make money. It is a disguised scam which you cannot understand from outside.
2008  Economy / Speculation / Re: The pump isn't coming sooner on: November 04, 2022, 10:33:17 AM
The main thing is persistence and determination to keep up with the market even when days are bad and of course when days are good. There are people who stop having that determination and they stop investing or hoping to invest.

The new investors who are coming in with low quality investments often get trapped in the cycle of bull and bear not knowing how to use these times to their advantage.

There lies the difference with big investors who are willing to take their time and keep putting in money at the proper price and time.
2009  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you Consider the Price of Bitcoin to be More Important than its Purpose? on: November 03, 2022, 06:04:57 PM
Going with Satoshi's vision, we have bitcoin that can be used without boundaries but there are other problems here, because that bitcoin cannot be easily spent for the article that you might need - at that point fiat currencies become more useful. So with that immediately comes in the question of BTC<>Fiat conversions. Eventually that market grew and became a speculative market.

1BTC is always 1BTC though, how much someone is willing to spend to buy/sell it changes with time depending on the demand/supply.

The purpose of bitcoin is still the same, but making a merchant accept that and making them use a bitcoin based payment system is a hell of a big job. Till then we can only rely on the P2P bitcoin transfers to buy/sell goods and not purchases directly with crypto.
2010  Economy / Economics / Re: Can One Get Rich or At least Not go Broke During a Recession? on: November 03, 2022, 05:59:11 PM
Firstly it is sad to hear about your current job situation, this might be a problem if the economic crisis hits depending on where you live and how much household income there is.

I would still suggest you to get a part time job or a gig if possible, a somewhat daily income is necessary to get food on the table and you never know when more bad things might start happening because they happen without announcing.

Only when you daily necessities are sorted out, can you think about investment. In that less risky investments are going to see poor outcome in the recession. Rather plan for the long term and try to buy bitcoin if you can spare cash. But you also need to save fiat cash big time.
2011  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Minimum deposit and minimum withdrawal. on: November 03, 2022, 05:37:40 PM
I think the high minimum is not that high as per the demographic of people whom the casino is usually accessible to. So if a person wants to gamble they would likely up their ante from 10$ to 100$ easily, because they are in it for the "fun" and "entertainment" aspect of it. One would think, would someone do so much as to sign up on a casino and then stop at the signboard of 100$ minimum deposit? They would not.

I think this does not discourage players, rather instills in them a sense that this casino is only for the grown ups or the rich people. so that the person reading it thinks that they are also rich and they can also afford to play in the casino.

Of course those who understand how a casino makes money, would never be swayed by such emotions.
2012  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is the bear market over? on: November 03, 2022, 05:32:17 PM
Going by today's charts it is not over in crypto, maybe in stock market if you say so.

The markets can be bearish for long time and we have to decide whether the new lows become the new normal range for the time being. It is useless at such times to dream of the all-time-highs but to cope with the stress by buying at the lower prices.

As far as bitcoin's price is concerned it is still in the downtrend in the 20k-ish USD range. Buy if you can and if you have hope. It can happen that the price drops even more, in which case you should wait if you have already bought a lot.
2013  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Copy trading profitable? on: November 02, 2022, 04:01:19 PM
Obviously there has to be some sort of evidence that supports the methods to their madness. High possibility that there are a number of copy traders who do get profits from copying other's strategy or even acquiring a copy trading service.
Someone will always profit no matter what they copy while others will lose. Point is that the losers will not report that they lost money, because of utter shame while the winner will out of boasting, normal human nature. Hence newbies who are looking for such services, find the reviews from all these lucky winners about copy trading being profitable and they see only the good points.

Quote
At the end of the day it's all a matter of perspective, and honestly if you aren't doing your own research even if for just copy trading, you're bound to lose all your investments eventually. Some form of knowledge or acquired information is still needed to at least effectively know who's the best to copy trade especially in various market conditions and seasons.
Definitely true, without having your basic understanding of how trading is done, dont you feel your skin crawl trying to put your hard earned money in some coin you never heard of? Either these people have a rhino's skin or they got the money from illicit activities.

No method to make money is easy and looking for an easy money method leads to traps, this is something that every human being needs to plant in their head.
2014  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bounty campaign question on: November 02, 2022, 03:49:13 PM
Hi I am the operation specialist from one DeFi project, just wondering if we are going to post the bounty campaign here, is campaign manager necessary or we can post and operate everything by our own marketing team?
You can post on your own but hiring a bounty manager has its own advantages, like so:

1. Most bounty managers are well reputed and known widely in this forum. Hiring one of them means hiring their repute and name too.
2. Bounty managers have been organizing such campaigns every day for several projects. They have years of experience and the skills needed to do produce a successful campaign.
3. The bounty participants usually keep the managers post pages bookmarked to keep track of what new projects they are publishing, so you can be sure that your project will immediately get the recognition is deserves.
4. Participants feel safe working under a reputed manager compared to a newbie account posting about a project.

Comparing to these advantages, the only disadvantage is that you need pay the manager and keep the bounty payment in escrow. But I think that is a good trade-off.

Good luck on your project!
2015  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: And officially worst year for investors on: November 02, 2022, 03:43:33 PM
Basically I never doubted and believed that Bitcoin would rise again, for long term investment Bitcoin is the right choice because it will be profitable,
I think we just need to be patient to wait for Bitcoin to rise again
Patience is required to see any investment go up if you have the belief in its vision and its development. Bitcoin is no doubt going to go up but it takes time for a coin to recover from a bear run which is taking a toll on the investors. Dont be one of those who sells at the low and loses out because maybe in the next six months we might see a new upstroke in bitcoin.

Probably yes for them who brought from peak. otherwise not everyone did the same but agreed that after such tremendous growth of crypto, the sudden dump makes investors disappointed. Although you must know that, there'll be a dump after pump and this is not new here.
There is not place for such emotions here. Rise and fall are part of how the cycle is constructed in the speculative market and knowing how to exploit that is what makes a good trader. Being disappointed because one did not get a chance to sell quickly after a buy, only leads to losing out on opportunities coming in future.

This can be prevented by keeping a limited allocation of income to crypto every month and having some other investments in portfolio other than crypto to lean on to during bear stages.
2016  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Popular projects and none popular projects on: November 02, 2022, 03:38:14 PM
Ah, well, I wouldn't call it a promise. Bitcoin and Ethereum are good long-term investments. They are, in my opinion, the most secure and risk-free cryptocurrency investment available right now. But if you can manage your profits well, which means you know when to purchase and sell, I believe it's excellent to work on any popular projects. It's impossible to predict the ultimate success or failure of any endeavor, no matter how promising it may seem at the outset.
Nothing is risk-free in crypto, but the top coins are obviously having the edge while the rest are only going to show short term profits but no long term gains.

A popular project does not necessarily mean a profitable project - an investor's interest in a project should be clear, whether they want to be an influencer on the project and make it popular or be discreet and make money.

Listen to Luna. So, all we have to do is maintain a state of constant vigilance while traversing the crypto space. Certainly not a stroll in the park.
One of the many examples of scams and ponzis that run in the industry. I am sure more are also running like that and people are investing in them without the mainstream media reporting about it because these scams run via referral-networks. They will get reported when the tables turn.

This can be prevented by being logical about returns and by doing your own research on how ponzis work.
2017  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Effective strategy to get crypto news. on: October 31, 2022, 10:17:05 AM
You can put different sources into a feed system and get that on a single update. While I applaud the attempt to do this, how much good info you will get from it how much you can actually apply in trading is doubtful.

Because people have been trying this for years and every time they are late by the time they get the news. You will not get that first mover advantage that you have been thinking of.

Still the only reason why people do this is to make money, which can be done with spot trading after reading charts and planning your buy/sell levels even after the news. Not all news are reliable as well.
2018  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why does everyone want to trade? on: October 31, 2022, 10:05:18 AM
Binary options is a type of gambling in the names of trading, which is different from spot trading.

Basically the place where knowledge and skills are needed is spot trading, an EV + system. While all these binary options, futures and leverage are gambles, EV - system. That what the OP's relative has done is gone with the second group. I never suggest these to any user, but I would advocate the spot trading.

Whenever you can find a place to make money, always check whether luck based things ar coming in. If so they are going to be games of chance.
2019  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin - How high can it go? on: October 31, 2022, 09:58:25 AM
I take it you have bought 0.03BTC till date. You are doing good if you are buying it with DCA in mind. I would suggest accumulating more till you reach a selling level at which point sell to recover some of your investment and add that to make more BTC.

Realistically I expect bitcoin to at least cross it's last all time high if not 50k USD should be a high selling point. But true bitcoin believers will make targets close to 1mil and never sell.

Altcoins are only a diversion to your money. Don't go too much into them even if you feel that they might do good because they wont. Altcoins are never going to be as big as Bitcoin. Check the charts of Bitcoin and your selected altcoins and you will know the truth. Also to get that good returns, you need the the long term profit from bitcoin not short term altcoin gains.
2020  Economy / Economics / Re: Corruption Should Be Taught From Young Age on: October 31, 2022, 09:50:23 AM
Like I said in my previous post, fighting corruption needs rigourous punishment and not school teaching. To be able to understand what corruption is and how it spreads there needs to be a good level of maturity which is lacking in school kids. Moreover corruption is so much ingrained in many countries that for them it is normal and not being corrupt is abnormal.

Again your morals might be strong, but the people around you might not be. If you need up trying to control corruption the people around you will get annoyed eventually plotting against you.
