2021  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Covid crisis & evolving phases on: August 03, 2020, 05:48:28 PM
Theoretically people will look for fiat alternative because of the situation where paper money could catch a virus, but the question is will people be looking for decentralized? This is not a question for use since we already use it, but for people who aren't in touch with the crypto, and since we do have a lot of alternative to fiat currency as an option and medium for payment crypto might just be set aside. First we have a digital payment processors like paypal and we do have wired/electronic transfer. So I guess we are going to see a growth on crypto but it's not that huge, however digital payment processors are into crypto not, so let's just see what happens.
2022  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Anyone in the Bitcoin ATM business? on: August 03, 2020, 04:37:33 PM
It seems to me that the OP isn't that active here in the forum, I assume he has different things to do with crypto space coz he hasn't posted anything on the past 5 months, not until this. If I were him I'll just search 'bitcoin atm' or ' BATMs' and read those thread so he'll know something out of it. You should read @Pharmacist ( If I'm not mistaken lol ) post about his experience using the bitcoin machine which he drove for like a mile just to get there.

Everyone is still skeptical about it, having it for a business is quite risky and expensive as much as I think of all the things you need, plus the maintenance.
2023  Other / Meta / Re: An unfair treatment of Bitcointalk moderators on: August 02, 2020, 09:06:32 PM
God bless you for this statement , if there's a temporary ban or de-ranking , it will be fair atleast
For the admins to consider unbanning your friend he has to present his case in a new forum thread. In it he should explain why he has been good to this forum overall and in what ways he has improved it. Members can get unbanned if bringing them back can positively affect the forum.
demotion of rank might be an answer but how do we count it? I mean we need a new system for that, more likely a strike system where a member only got a number of 'life' in his rank to get demoted.

Do you think that is the case with your friend? From what I can see he is a bounty hunter, posts one-liners, and was very active in the off-topic section.
I think there is no chance for him to be forgiven. Give it a try if you think otherwise.
There's no way he's going to be unbanned, his case was plagiarism and spamming, we already get rid of these people about a couple of year ago. Just so negative for me.  Undecided

You're probably underestimating the corruption in our government. Tongue

As for sa pagkukulang, not sure if this is really the case, pero in the first place paano sila hindi magkukulang sa funds e sa dami ba naman ng scandals and cases concerning corruption. And so much incompetent government officials in the senate to start with.

Siguro nga.  Grin

2025  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [experience]; In one family all professional gamblers. on: August 02, 2020, 08:14:07 PM
Well I guess it sounds quite normal to me, every one can be taught how to gamble, every one is free to gamble what's wrong is when you gamble in out of your league, like spending too much and some sort of that. Well I think they are all taught by their elders in the family, inspired somehow when their elders won and getting a bunch of money and so they also push themselves to do the same. Here in my area I know some people, relatives that hosts a gambling house (underground) illegal but that's the life I get used to, and sometimes I play with them. Don't tell the police lol  Grin
2026  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Nauusong "easy-money" on: August 02, 2020, 07:12:47 PM
2027  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best eSports Betting Sites on: August 02, 2020, 06:07:07 PM
At the recent years of E-Sports betting, there were dedicated websites for different games. I only interacted with the website that is dedicated for CS GO and DOTA2 which was really easy to use because there were no required time frames on when you can interact with other account when you are placing a bet.

Most people now use GG.Bet since its sponsoring a lot of upcoming available tournaments so I guess, I'm gonna say GG.Bet is one of the best since it adapted the style of the websites before.
Yeah I guess there is no best betting website, it actually depends on the game that they are hosting for betting, just like what you have said CS GO and dota2  is a very popular game which most of people are watching and playing too, having these games will give you high probability of gamblers betting on your website. However there are betting sites which don't have these games, they offer different which some of people will also look for. GG.bet is on top right now, they are scheduled for many tournaments of different games, better study and bet  Cheesy
2028  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin replace Gold someday? on: August 02, 2020, 05:18:10 PM
Gold has been an instrument of trade and value for thousands of years. Fiat money havent succeeded in replacing it. Now Bitcoin or cryptocurrency in its youth is trying to get some place under the sun. Bitcoin is still to young to replace something. First Bitcoin needs to overcome fiat money and only then it might try to take Golds place.
However, since Bitcoin cannot replace paper money, it cannot replace gold in any way. Bitcoin was created to become an alternative means of payment for the current system of bank payments. He is not able to replace them, although he can squeeze them in the financial world.
Why do we always talk about replacement when these two can just work together as an option for store of value, the only difference of these two are just the price and volatility of the price so it just depends on the people if what they are going to choose among the options. We are pushing bitcoin for quite long yet we haven't realize the huge thing in front of us.

Gold as a value and measure of value has existed for thousands of years and it is impossible to break the existing financial system in ten years. It will take more than one decade, and perhaps much more, before gold is replaced by another financial asset.
Gold has been there for ages, you can't just tell them " hey bitcoin is better switch to it" , and as far as intrinsic value is concerned gold is way better than bitcoin, people buy gold not just because they into it.
2029  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How fair is Provably Fair? Do you verify every bet as a gambler? on: August 01, 2020, 05:58:56 PM
I think that in all the top casinos the games are absolutely fair. If this were not the case, they would be very quickly caught doing it. Everything here is based on mathematics and any fraud is easy to see since everything is recorded and it is very easy for any player to get complete statistics at a distance of thousands and tens of thousands of bets.
Maybe in the past people weren't aware about it, as well as doesn't have what's within the phrase "provably fair". Now people are aware and even if something seems to be unfair in the operation soon they raise complaints. This will surely create bad reputation to the casinos. To avoid such situations casinos do legitimate service and through the house edge they make profit.

Exactly. The funniest thing is that a casino makes the most profit if it works as honestly as possible. And any bias in the results relative to the theory of probability is more profitable for the players than for the casino. I read an article about this in some scientific journal, unfortunately I cannot give a link now.
What? How are they going to cheat in favor of the players? if the casino is not fair then it is all on the house. Basically the casino controls the algorithm, for example in dice, the system should draw a random number in 50% probability of being higher or lower than 50, that's the fairness in game, so if they are bias they could simply set it in 70% higher chance of getting 50 and up, but if the players notice it they can abuse it, that's where they are going to change it the other way around. Such a shame on a casino like that, money grabber Undecided
2030  Other / Meta / Re: Defi section? on: August 01, 2020, 05:13:06 PM
Do we have some section in forum for Defi projects and new tokens listings?
I looked in all forum and can't find it.
It should be merged or can be found from any of these sections.
- Announcement (Altcoins)
- Token (Altcoins)
- Service Announcement (Altcoins)
We can't just add different section for DeFi, yet they are belong to the altcoin discussion but we can have it in the future if DeFi project progressed their way and I'm supporting it.

But let us consider the fact that things may never look as it is now, the admins might just regret adding a separate section for DeFi and no one talks about it in the next couple of months.

DeFi is best on Altcoin discussion, you can create thread on that board.
2031  Economy / Speculation / Re: What's happening with Bitcoin & altcoins? on: August 01, 2020, 04:24:36 PM
There's nothing wrong with the altcoins though it's just that most of them doesn't follow what is the trend of Bitcoin that's why most of them got left behind.

There's nothing wrong indeed, depends from how the creators will make progress that's the thing that will bring them into this trends.
Yeah maybe some people think that altcoins grow out of no where, the team behind the development is the core of the success of the coin so if an altcoin price is surging that is because of the speculation of the people because of the progress that they are making, in short people are trusting them.

Whereas ETH for example is totally on a different side of the rest of altcoins, it breaks a new price resistance which is most speculators been waiting for too long to happen and here it is now.

Good catch for every investors who entrust their investment to this project, after that huge dip it's now breaking its way to the top,
expectations coming from those spectators will create more rise to this project.
As for eth is concern this coin already has its name mainly for being the 2nd in the market after bitcoin so doubting it would make us fool to believe that it will not be running with bitcoin. No matter how low it gets, it will rise just like bitcoin. This year, I see ethereum being bigger than the bitcoin in terms of price increase percentage, bitcoin could just be 2x of its price right now, ethereum could get 5x.
2032  Local / Pilipinas / Re: More online stores, less tax generated on: August 01, 2020, 03:36:17 PM

PEACE !
2033  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Slots in Online Casinos on: August 01, 2020, 03:04:54 PM
I've seen thousand games of slot machine but most of them has the same game play / story / mode so what's the problem with it? at the end of the day we are free to choose what we want to play, what game in slot, or dice or table game, most of the gamblers do not care about this much as long as they entertain themselves and making money at the same time. You are just seeing a limited number of slot in casino coz there is no purpose of putting it all, and the space of the area.
2034  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin transaction was faster than a Bank transfer today (for me) on: July 31, 2020, 08:46:47 PM
You may compare these two since they are both type of money/value transfer. They are also working on the same grounds, bitcoin might take an hour to receive once a miner confirm it in a certain block similar with bank transfer funds will be received when the the receiver received the receipt of the transaction, the receipt acts as the confirmation and the receiver ( bank ) as a the miner. The only difference is the waiting time, it is easier in bitcoin network to confirm transaction because we got a lot of miners unlike in banks, certain person in a branch is the only one who can make the receipt. Time difference is what we are pushing for, the convenient.
2035  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Twitter Hacker Arrested! on: July 31, 2020, 07:35:22 PM
I guess the $1 million bounty Justin Sun put on his head was enough to send people on an epic man(boy?)hunt.
Just a boy hunt, I didn't think that the biggest twitter breaching in history will just be made by a 17-yr old boy. I thought it was coordinated attacks from an organization scattered around the globe, this is a hell of a blast! But I'm still in doubt that he did that all alone, there must have been more suspects hiding behind this 17-yr old boy. And I'm wondering if they can really sanctioned that boy that crime, he's under age and must be under the protection of state custody first.

Let's see if he can social engineer his way out of jail.
If this is true, I don't think such organization like CIA would just let this big brainer kid to sit and serve his sentence in jail.  Lips sealed
2036  Economy / Speculation / Re: Where do you see Bitcoin price by the end of 2020? on: July 31, 2020, 06:37:25 PM
As for my prediction, I expected the price to surge in mid-November so we'll be having a new ath by month of December but then it happened too early to consider having new ath by this year. Or the price will keep climbing in December, early signs of new ath? I hope so. Can't clearly see where the price is going to but one thing must be taken, buying today will be an advantage. If the price will stay at this price point, $11k to $12K then we must be seeing a new ATH before the year ends, then we will welcome the 2021 with so much decline in the price. Another year set of speculation  Cheesy
2037  Economy / Economics / Re: i was right about the economy ! on: July 31, 2020, 05:41:35 PM
i was right about the economy !
Now wait till people start dumping cryptos and stocks ...then the blood bath starts ...
I think i am going to start a cheap booze/liquor biz   as 1929 is back ...

Instead of opening a new thread, you could write your statement where you started your apocalyptic thinking -> Brace yourselfs , the economic earthquake is coming .... Your obsession with 1929 and alcohol will not help anyone - after all, why worry about the economy if World War III is about to begin?
Noticed it too, he got a lot of new thread in the economy section, he could have just summed those up before opening, it's quite less interesting when a single person opens that many thread in just a matter of day. and he's not really into cryptocurrencies I think or is he but is spreading FUD for his own good. And OP you should be focusing on your health these days than wondering what will happen tomorrow with your money  Grin
2038  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Russia legalizing Bitcoin and cryptos but not allowed as payment method? on: July 31, 2020, 05:01:20 PM
Russia with a large number of hackers fear for the cryptocurrency usage. This is just a thought of mine, years back itself Russian government endorsed the blockchain technology and suggested using it into the financial system. For some reason they ignored the usage of cryptocurrencies, now it is time to accept.
Their government must have considered this fact, a week ago I've read a news that russian hackers are trying to steal the documents of corona vaccine development, just yesterday Europe sanctioned Chinese and Russian hackers for cyberattacks which the Russia denied ( we don't really know ) and I think the russian government knows all about this potential fatality with the crypto on their country once being promoted as payment method, you can trade but you can't pay using it. Quite fair enough for me tho.

The delay will cause other small nations to be above them in terms of technology adoption. This is the stand India too took, it provided the usage access for bitcoin and ignored it as a payment source.
Nations have their own understanding on crypto and its technology, they are not reliant on those big country they re just studying it, if they want it they will have it.
2039  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investment plan on: July 31, 2020, 04:24:30 PM
1. bitcoin 40%
2. ripple 30%
3. bch 30%
4. ethereum 10%

What do you think of this list?

If you believe that BCH has some purpose in the crypto world, or that Ripple has the same then it is quite legitimate to invest in them. Allocating funds to different projects is not a bad idea, but the question in this case is what it can really bring you in the short or long term?
For bch and xrp, I guess it is more profitable in short term invest but with limited time just like now, as the price of bitcoin surges these top altcoins is riding the wave, I think this time is the best to buy these alts and sell soon not to hold for much longer than bitcoin and ethereum.

If you look realistically at the application of these coins, ask yourself what and where they all apply in real life. Realistically only one cryptocurrency has a chance to achieve something in the long run, and has already broken through some seemingly insurmountable barriers. Don’t be fooled by the small prices and large numbers that result from that ratio. If you have $11 000 and invest all in BTC, it is only 1 BTC, but in same time you can get 32 ETH for same amount, or 45 800 XRP.
There's no question for ripple as they are adopted widely across the globe with over 200+ banks in almost every country, this includes the MoneyGram, an american based money transfer giant. Although the price of it seems unbreakable for the past few months, ripple had a massive growth that most of us overlooked. And bch? there's just no future to it, just for me  Roll Eyes
2040  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: This is why I AM BULLISH on ETHEREUM!!! on: July 30, 2020, 08:22:32 PM
Yes, you schould continue! Eth is current worth $327 and is still rising: https://www.worldcoinindex.com/coin/ethereum

$326 now :O

Its 331 now.

@OP this looks really interesting. I think that the price will stable here and will increase in like a month or two, I also predictaccording to market and situation the price will go down and then pump again.

TEX-LXRY
Pump and dump happens every time, this is not a prediction anymore, it became a natural thing over time. Ethereum really looks so fascinating to buy these days especially when you see the price in the next morning higher than you've seen it the last night, and it goes for consecutive days. But don't be too excited, we are on uncertain market we cannot take this as guaranteed profit in the future, this might be a trap for another crypto history. What can I say, hmmm just buy bitcoin and ethereum, A LOT !
