2021  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin fall below $30k on: May 21, 2022, 01:26:22 AM
I'm sure the market that is still red until now will end soon, although many find similarities with a 4 -year trend, namely the price will drop when it previously reached ATH but if you see a very large transaction volume I am sure the market will rise again and soon.
The liquidity is low right now compared to what it used to be, which means that we need to focus a bit more towards the liquidity part of it and that way we could be understanding when the market will get better. You need to also realize the difference between volume and liquidity as well because there is a huge difference.

Volume means the transactions, and it is still around 30 billion according to CMC, and it was like that when we were 40k+ as well and that was a great deal, today it is still around 30 billion and we should be focusing a bit more on that. This is why I believe that liquidity means a lot, volume doesn't mean that much.

Regardless though, for me volume is as much as important as liquidity.

We can see obviously if we are still in the range of volumes in the past and it could signal whether we are in the bearish or bullish cycle.

So far though, the volume is very low, an indication that we are indeed in the bear cycle. And if my chance it increases then it will coincide with a good recovery at least we can felt a chance of 1%-5% in the price if volume increases.
2022  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Who’s itching to buy? on: May 21, 2022, 12:54:55 AM
Buying after a huge crashed from the All time high price is a boss move, however, it could dip even more but of course we're not sure. Buying during this kind of season would test your patience, because it might take years again before the market starts to rise again. So we have to be careful on what we are going to do for our funds not to go in vain just in case the coin that we bought will be delisted, something like that, just like what happened to LUNA.
I think should include in our watctlist those projects that were built in a bear market, such as eth, maker and so on
I think that the people who have enough money to do it are thinking at the moment of buying and then doing Hodl, if it were in my hands to buy it I would do it without thinking about BTC, then as a second option I would do it for ETH and then for Monero, to my ETH and MONERO are the currencies with the highest survival capacity, it is for this reason that without a doubt my first option to buy would be the BTC, I would not mind if after I bought it it went down a little more, I would save and have to wait as long as be necessary.

Given the options? I would rather just buy BTC and ETH, but that's just me.
But I do agree that this is the perfect buying opportunity for those who have enough money because the price is at a discount, BTC below $30k? that's damn good price already. And all you will do is buy a ton and then let it sit in your hardware wallet (recommended if you are buying a ton), protect your private keys and come back in the next 2 years. So I guess everyone is itchy to buy at this point but not everyone can buy, that's the dilemma.
2023  Economy / Speculation / Re: Sideways huh! on: May 20, 2022, 09:01:39 AM
I think even at bullish market, the sideway pattern is present, meaning there will be certain times that the market is very sluggish, maybe brought by several factors that's. And this could last for days or even weeks until such break out occurs. Unfortunately, we are in bearish trend now, most likely the break out could still be going South. But yeah, if you can find time to scalp and make money why not?
2024  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: May 20, 2022, 08:25:28 AM
Al Horford went 4-4 from the field and Marcus Smart nearly had a triple double. The Celtics were definitely glad to have them back in the lineup. Their defense kept everyone except for Jimmy Butler below 15 points. The 25 point loss makes the game seem closer than it was. The Heat are in a little trouble now. They need to prove game 1 wasn’t a fluke and they can compete against a full Celtics team or else this is going to be the end of their season in 3 more games. They play each other again on Saturday.
We can see the difference of Smart and Horford in the court and both of them not in the court.
They are a big boost of morale and to the team and because of that, the performance of all members will automatically level up.

An almost triple-double for Smart and 10 points for Horford, with 6 players in double figures. What really made the Celtics steal in Game 2 is like what they did in Bucks in Game 7. Three point shots. Tonight, they shot 20/40 with 50% FG. That's high already. I think I'll agree with what you said that the Heat are in a bit of trouble right now. They need to adjust their defense in the next 2 games and at least defend the three point area because that is the Celtics' key to victory. Butler scored only 29 points tonight after scoring 41 points in Game 1. Did anybody see Smart breaking the ankles of Strus? Cheesy

I agree, Smart had the biggest impact in this game as he lock in Butler and game them the dose of their own medicine in the first quarter. Yeah, sure Butler has 29 points, but it was already a lost game in the 3rd quarter unlike in game 1 wherein they made a comeback. It was a different Celtics team when their line up is complete.

You mean this ankle breaker  Grin ? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EY9MnTZW9YU
2025  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Mark Magsayo vs Rey Vargas WBC Featherweight Title (July 9) on: May 20, 2022, 08:03:44 AM
Hopefully he would do that, but it's still too early to tell, he has to convince us first and that is by winning this fight without a controversy. A KO would silent people who still have doubted his capacity, so he has to go for that.
Only in boxing fighting mode could prove from the current hard training, I think he will go the extra mile to defend his belt against his challenger Rey, I know that Magsayo has a champion mentality so I'm pretty sure he wins the match for a unanimous victory or even knockout, because his fans really want him to look spectacular in a prestigious boxing match.
Well, if he could find a space to pull a knockout victory then he should do it because as I said, that alone will be the best way to silent the people who doubts his capacity especially now that he needed some wins to continue in the industry and have much more great fight with good pay.

Even if it's a unanimous or split decision would be fine, the thing is he should be hailed as victorious here and before he can have that, he should go for a mile to make sure his win.

We always wanted to see a great fight that will end up in a knock out and hopefully it will be Magsayo who will accomplished it here.

Rey Vargas is a good fighter and others think that he will be the favorite. So imagine if an underdog Magsayo won by a spectacular one punch knock out. Fight fans for sure will remember his name and would gain stature as the premier fighter in this division.

When we expect a knockout, then most likely Magsayo will win because that's his specialty as a boxer. However, if the fight will go to distant, there's a possibility that Magsayo will lose because of his boxing style which is not so accurate, he would easily get tired in the end.

Hopefully, Magsayo will cover that too, he would definitely go for a knock out, but if it not present then he should have purse for another plan to win, maybe it will go to the judges score card.

So he and his team should anticipate any scenario that the fight will go to distance. And with that, train his stamina, he that he will not gas out specially in most important rounds.
2026  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: May 20, 2022, 01:17:28 AM
I did go on the under score, but it seems that the Celtics is shooting high percentage already. 9 out of 11 in the three point area, leading by 11 points in the first quarter.

I'll probably do some live betting after the second half, will wait and see how the Miami will settle down. Maybe this will be a repeat of the first game wherein they made a huge rally to win big.
2027  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: May 19, 2022, 06:56:10 AM
I would say easy game for the Warriors tonight:

Not only did they limit Luka in the first game, but they put a defensive gem on their players. Brunson and Dinwiddie seems to can't find their grove because of the tight defense. While GSW starters all scored in double dights.
2028  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 31st South East Asian Games on: May 19, 2022, 03:07:51 AM
Surprisingly Thailand has pulled away for the second spot against PH in the gold standing.

While PH, and SG are tied with 37 golds apiece although in total medals, PH is ahead. And then Indonesia with 36 golds. So it will be a close battle for the second spot behind Vietnam.

Kayla Richardson of PH winning Gold in the 100 M women.

2030  Economy / Speculation / Re: Was $25K the bottom? on: May 19, 2022, 01:13:32 AM
I wouldn't go crazy just to expect $20K to come true for last year's $69K post-ATH bitcoin lows. Maybe only numbers can be achieved or maybe not during this year or next year. I wouldn't say no to $20K or lower, but it might be an unexpected period if 2018's history is the benchmark. Anything is possible, the unexpected and it is very possible in the crypto world, but we probably won't hit another $20K for bitcoin lows during this correction. Just my opinion.

If ever we will close the monthly candle above $30,00 this end of May, I am positive that the $25,000 is already the bottom.
It's possible, but let's see what will happen at the end of May.

Just remember though that if we even close the monthly candle at $30k, it doesn't mean that we have reach the bottom already.

We still have the next 6 months and there are a lot of things that can happen along the way that can put more pressures on the price to a downward spiral. So I'm still not feeling confident, I'm still seeing that the price could still go down below $25k and this could be the worst case scenario.
2031  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: could TERRA LUNA go back to $1 dollar? on: May 19, 2022, 12:34:37 AM
$1 can only be possible if Kwon will go with the suggestions given to him by CZ (Binance owner) and other big investors to cut down the supply of luna by burning it. Anything apart from that, won't get Luna to $1. It will only keep Luna's price to be dangling around 0.0005 and below till it diminishes into tiny air.

In the first place why they need billions in circulation though?

Anyhow, I agree with most of the posters here, it will be hard to get back to where it was previously. It they survived this bear market then good for them. But I don't think that investors will likely pour their money on any project that Kwon Do will touch in the future. They have learn their expensive lessons from this person already, and maybe he is one of the most hated crypto personalities right now.
2032  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your NBA Champion this season? on: May 18, 2022, 03:11:24 AM
because Goldenstate Warriors ain't an easy team to bring down especially when they're playing at home.

The same goes for the Phoenix Suns arena where it's one of having the loudest audiences in the league. Phoenix Suns' winning rate in their home arena is over 90% but the Mavericks are able to still play well against their large crowd.

I'm sure Mavericks are already used to playing against the big crowd and they can expect it once they played at the Warriors' homecourt as we know how big the audiences are here and almost a big distraction already to the away team.

I guess every team are using to play on the road, but Dallas though seems to be a road team because they are not affected by the unruly crowd of the Suns fans.

So it's really up to the Warriors here, Dallas has nothing to lose in this series. On the contrary they will gain a lot of experience specially Luka. So it might not be an easy series for the Warriors, but with their experience, maybe they will win against the Mavs.
2033  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bearish market continues? on: May 18, 2022, 01:46:30 AM
These few days when I woke up and checked binance my asset dropped significantly, of course this made me confused whether to sell all assets at a loss or wait, even a lot of speculation circulating that the price of bitcoin will drop again below $ 20k, of course this is something this is very worrying and will take a long time to get back up again.
Many people are trying to recover their funds by selling it as early as they could cause they think it's the end again of Bitcoin but it turns out they were being flushed out as they were the panic sellers who makes the market turn in red for a few days. They don't really learn anything since the previous bull run or it's that they were just newbies in this market and maybe the old investors were holding and having their patience to wait for the right time when the market would start to pump again.

Yeah, usually in bear market and flash crashes, the weak hands are going to sell, so there will be a shakeup and what remains are the diamond hands who chooses not to sell because they are thinking long term and on the contrary, would rather buy.

So far this has proven to be the case, price are on the way to recovery and maybe we can see it $32k and above next week.
2034  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Crawford vs Spence on: May 18, 2022, 01:13:49 AM
Spence vs crawford looks like pacquiao vs mayweather way back on early years which the prime of pacquiao that didn't happen not until in 2015 this fight is dubbed as fight of the century. Idk what this fight will be dubbed since both are great and undefeated.

Time is still on the side of Spence and Crawford, they are still in their prime. As compare to Manny and Floyd wherein they kinda on the tail end of their career. They should have fought years prior when Manny is destroying anyone and leaving a destructive tail. Anyhow, I don't think anyone of them is taking that route, they should be facing each other this year as the fight is doable with no one in between like boxing managers because Crawford is a free agent now.
2035  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: May 18, 2022, 12:35:43 AM
So I know conf finals start tonight but as an avid knick fan....it's lottery night!!  Knicks with a 10% shot to jump into the top 4.  I'd love to see them hit in the lottery and get a wing like bachelor or Jabari Smith.  Would take ivey too, so many holes to fill on the team.

Sorry just as a knick fan every year this is a big night for us.😭

No worries bro, we all know that you are a solid Knicks fan.  Grin.

Just disappointed with the way they show this season, from a very good team last year with Randle and this season was just a shadow of themselves. So hopefully they can get a good player and bring back the life in MSG.

For the match today, it's about to start now, Miami's advantage in the first game is that it will be in their home court so let's see how the Celtics will show up tonight.
2036  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New LUNA vs. Classic LUNA on: May 17, 2022, 11:21:54 PM
Im not sure about that but since the proposal already released to the public and the distribution will be used the current total supply and i have heard someone mentioned if 1 millions luna will be getting around 14 - 15 new luna token. The main problem is the new people who bought at the bottom will be getting the new tokens and im sure that those whales who have bought at the peak price will be getting less and less. The maximum supply for the new luna was around 1 billion.
People will be getting small amounts of luna from the airdrop which have been getting so many complaints against it.

Yes, and whatever the setup or reconstruction of the New Luna, there will still be losers in here. And with the new Luna having around like 1 billion in token, I doubt that the price will go up because of the huge max supply. Nevertheless the plan might look good for others, instead of losing all their money, at least they have something to compensate themselves and should be happy to at least get back half of the money they lost in this debacle.
2037  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: May 17, 2022, 01:49:26 AM
First game is Heat vs Celtics.

Heat slight favor this game one, but not that much in the ML line.

While the handicap open at -/+1.5. I haven't decided which to bet yet in this game. Very hard to predict as both are very complete lineup and ready to play.
2038  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price Potential to Drop in the $32k Area on: May 17, 2022, 12:30:00 AM
The graph you made two week ago turned out to be true that bitcoin fell to the $32k area. I had thought that the bitcoin price would not go down to the $32k level but it turns out that what we are seeing at the moment the bitcoin price continues to weaken and move bearish until it drops to the $29k area.

And we are still in the $29k area, unfortunately, there is no strength to even manage to pull above $30k although there are moment when the price hits $31k but no momentum whatsoever as investors continue to sell.

It is likely that the crypto market will continue to decline and the price of bitcoin has the potential to drop to around $25k in the next few weeks.

Most likely this month will be horrible to us, possible to drop to $25k if the selling pressure is still there. As I have said, 7 weeks in red candle and still counting, that really bad as far as technical indicators is concern.
2039  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: May 15, 2022, 02:47:15 AM
Anyone on the Castano vs Charlo rematch?

Odds are, ML:

Charlo 1.50
Castano 2.55

That's a great odd for the underdog and he seems to be hell bent on avenging his close and controversial lost to Castano (split draw).

Yes, the first fight is very close and it can go either way. But I think in the rematch, Charlo who is the more athletic one, will make the right adjustments in the rematch and could win by late stoppage in my book.

No doubt that Castano is good, but maybe he just caught Charlo at the bad moment and almost beat him. But not this time though, Charlo is going to show that this fight is not going to be close like the first fight and it might no go to the judges scorecard.
2040  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 31st South East Asian Games on: May 15, 2022, 02:08:35 AM
I have heard that the interest of a wide audience (especially young people) is declining even for events like the Olympics, I would like to know how things are with such local competitions. Maybe the situation is reversed here? After all, it is unlikely that Vietnam can dominate so much anywhere else, so those competitions where the athletes of your country are very successful should be more attractive.

Good question. I think for locals, it's more of just a way to let say get a scholarship in school if you are really good in sports and maybe you can represent your country in this kind of events which I think it big in Southeast Asia. And who knows, they can eventually conquer the Olympics. So I wouldn't say that it is declining for young people, but this could be a way for them to get out of poverty.

Some countries in SEA doesn't have Olympic medals yet, so it they win in SEA games and then by chance won the first gold medal in Olympics it will be a huge honor for them and the government will shower them with money. Just like what the recent Olympic champion Diaz brought to the Philippines, winning it's first Gold medal, returning to the country as hero and then given huge sums of money by the Philippine government.

that's where olympic medalist usually starts their journey. it is indeed high honour for these athletes to snatch gold esp in olympics because most asean countries have very low to none of these olympic gold. so if anyone got it, it is already a big deal for the country, hence, giving all the possible cash rewards and other benefits to show support to the athlete.
good thing that this pandemic has not affected the scheduling of this event. we may be continuously seeing sports events going back to normal again.

Right, and there was also the case of Joseph Schooling, we made the splash (no pun intended) to win the 100m butterfly gold in 2016 for Singapore, their first. And he done it in fashion, beating the great Michael Phelps. But it all began in this kind of games in Southeast Asia.

And speaking of him, they were DQ yesterday in men’s 4x100m freestyle relay.

Quote
HANOI: Their scores had flashed on the screen at the My Dinh Water Sports Palace and they were halfway through giving their interviews when the quartet of Joseph Schooling, Mikkel Lee, Quah Zheng Wen and Jonathan Tan were told that they had been disqualified from the men’s 4x100m freestyle relay.

The Singaporeans had earlier won the race on Saturday (May 14) evening with a time of 3:17.19 ahead of Malaysia and Vietnam. But official results later disqualified Singapore and Malaysia.
