What the hell? So we got an anonymous BCNext exclusively talking to an anonymous CfB about some vague plans that are too be revealed.
Can you really take all of this seriously?!
So if CfB bails (like he has said he plans on doing), who does BCNext speak too? Anyone else have a private line to the founder?
Misrepresenting facts. Spinny, spinny spin! "Bailing" is running away. His contract ends. That's something different and it's good that we know this. I'd rather hear it now than a week in advance. Also, why do you care? CfB did say he wanted to bail and work on his *new* crypto-currency. So when he does leave, who speaks to the BCNext founder? Anyone else have a hot line? Who, other than CfB has the source code?

It seems people forget that the reason people have invested in NXT is due to the promised features, not the current incarnation. It would be downright fraudlent if the promised features don't come into existence.
Missing one's targets and fraud are two different things. Apple can say that they will make X dollars in the 3rd quarter, if they miss, then that's not fraud. Nxt can say they will have Z features, if they never deliver, then that's not fraud. So the price of Nxt is somewhat determines by the possibility that these features will become part of Nxt or not. Well right now, that doesn't look like a very high possibility. The developers are bailing and I don't see any volunteers. Did you see anyone volunteer after CfB bailed?

Also what did BCNext say to my proposal that I made like a month ago about him making some statements through you soon so that we get some clear ideas of what this man is doing?
He said nothing. U should understand that plans of BCNext and plans of the community r not the same. Sooner u get this, sooner u take development of Nxt concept into ur hands. BCNext is not Santa Claus who brought u bright future. He showed the way and it's up to u if u go this way. But if u do, recall what he said: Do not trust strangers on the Internet, especially if their nickname is "BCNext".

Looks like I freaked out for nothing, this Luke guy is actually a real pro. He tweeted me promptly about the website and video: @lukeconnell: @Vlad_Roberto Hello. That is a temp video for the draft layout, not the new site launch, purely for live wireframing. http://t.co/V1d9sEGXBy@lukeconnell: @Vlad_Roberto Hello. I'll continue to read the feedback and make amendments, this is just one possible design draft. http://t.co/zatal8olwc@lukeconnell: @Vlad_Roberto The conceptual design has just started, lots of work to be done. Thanks Luke. Next time I'll wait for a formal response from you. Vlad, you might want to spend some time using WIX (website builder www.wix.com ) to come up with a website you think highlights iXcoin.

Despite all the negativity of being scammed, I prefer to watch at the half-full of the glass. The OP gave a great idea, and there are at least 2 teams working on a new implementation of it (announcements will probably follow soon).
I do think that it will be a great idea to compensate any "suckers" in any of these 2 coins, provided there is a solid proof a person has indeed invested in LevelCoin.
NEX would help out, however someone needs to gather a list. We already have trouble gathering a list for Visacoin victims.

What is the difference between the reservation interest (Buy in) and go to the website and put an email address? Because I saw a post that only showing interest, one will get a share in NEX. How much NEX will the 'interested' people get? The buy in has a specific number of NEX coins. The interest is distributed among those who expressed interest, so the quantity is not known yet.

quick apphub update.
have tested all basic functions account/alias/amessage (asset exchange close to complete) so far and it's working as expected, fast and stable but there is a problem with keyphrases containing unicode characters. utf-8 encoding at codelevel is working but the gui engine supports iso 8859-15.
working on this.
Good news! When can we test it? this not so good, because as mentioned above existing accounts with unicode keyphrases are not supported this way. this has to be solved. The setup using the secret phrase is unfortunately not a universal solution. It depends on what browser you were using when you set it up. If you happened to be on windows browser, then you won't have UTF-8 encoding. So when you walk up to another machine, say an android phone, your pass phrase won't work in certain cases. This is just a flaw that really doesn't have a solution.

Let sum up what we have finished here:
- Decentralized Alias System / DNS: yes but not Complete - Basic DDoS Protection: Complete? - Decentralized Asset Exchange / Colored Coins:NO - Transparent Mining:NO - Arbitrary Messaging: Complete but absolete - Instant Transactions:NO - Decentralized Marketplace / Auction:NO - Distributed Storage:NO - Multi-signatures:NO - Blockchain Shrinking:NO - Two-phase Payments:NO - Voting System:NO - Reputation System:NO - Decentralized Mixing Service:NO - Distributed Computing:NO - Smart Contracts:NO - Hardware Wallets:NO - Advanced DDoS Protection Project Kharo:NO - white paper: NO - Client:NO
What do we have:
bloated Blockchain that uses GB's of traffic that no one can afford! hot air unclaimed coins 12 laughing rich initial founders. rats leaving the sinking ship already
I'm afraid u won't reach 0.05 price this way... 1 day left. Poster does raise a valid point, if there are no developers volunteering (and the latest source code hasn't been released), then who is going to build all these wonderful features?

Alpha version of the client:
Is the code on github (or something similar) yet? Not yet. At best, it only make sense to do so when we hit beta. A lot of stuff still in flux.

Nxt only need good development from devs (soon) or will die, its simple.
I agree.. any volunteers.....?

What's so wrong with CfB eventually moving on?
I still don't get why ppl see me as the leader. Last year main income of my team was generated by contracts found on BTT. It's just a coincidence that I picked BCNext's offer to create a client for his project. Main functionality was offered for free, just to support yet-another-altcoin with some innovations, but I expected to earn money by implementing extra functionality. That's how I work - offer something for free so that people see that my team is able to do what they need. And then charge money for further development. Some ppl think that I'm BCNext coz I'm the only one who contacts him directly. Well, I have my own cryptocurrency in development. It doesn't make much sense to create a competitor to my own coin... So, are you going to finish the 0.6.0 refactoring? So, you have your own cryptocurrency in development... which is a competitor to Nxt. So who is going to maintain Nxt when you leave?
|
|
|
so you think that project implementing nxt > nxt itself in terms of ROI? strange to hear that..
Looks like u have not attended Economy courses Interesting how developers always think they can come up with something even better.

@Dexter44 contact Luke and tell him of the videos you created. Design is a bit noisy, but it has several interesting ideas. I'm guessing this is coming out of a contest somewhere.

archived: I’d like to announce Nxt (pronounced as "next"), a cryptocurrency based on Bitcoin paradigm. Nxt uses brand new software, it’s not a fork of Bitcoin source code. Nxt improves different features of Bitcoin, removes some disadvantages (e.g. bloated blockchain) and resolves a big environmental issue. I won’t write too many words, let’s jump straight to TL;DR version. Coins are earned solely by charging transaction fees. All coins will appear in Nxt via “transferring” them from the Bitcoin blockchain. Not all bitcoins will be transferred hence the total number of coins is unknown yet. Time between blocks is one minute. This increases the rate of orphaned blocks but makes it more convenient for the users. Nxt doesn’t use so-called “scripts” aka predicates. This simplifies and accelerates transaction processing. Advanced features like multisig will be created on top of the core as 3rd party services. Mining is 100% proof-of-stake, Greenpeace will be happy. At the present moment development of the software is not completed. While I’m working on it we should start the transfer process to decide who and how much coins will get. This will be done by sending a small amount of BTC to my own address. I bet most of you have just thought “I got the catch!” Hold on, I don’t ask you to send thousand USD worth coins, a few satoshis is enough. A special message must be attached to the transaction. This should be done via blockchain.info which supports such the feature. The message must contain only SHA256 hash, that will be used to claim coins. All these coins will be put into the genesis block that I’ll publish before the launch. Anyone will be able to make sure that the 0th block contains only legit coins and there is no premine. So, if you want to get coins do the following: 1. Choose a secret phrase 2. Calculate SHA256 hash of this phrase (an online calculator can be used) 3. Calculate SHA256 hash of the hash you got on the previous step 4. Send any amount to 1BCN1ugdKdWd9pQ8Am9hMhtHZfmbXzxE8a, don’t forget to attach a message with the hash you got on the 3rd step. (The amount is capped at 1 BTC!)That’s it. When Nxt is launched you will get part of new coins and your stake will be proportional to the amount you sent. I work hard to launch Nxt as soon as possible. I will complete all necessary things, but some extra work should be done. I’m thinking about developing a web interface and some other cool things. Feel free to support the development by sending donations to 125EJ3HYXNZ8swr2UBcvKNBV2voAYACFu9. P.S. I’m a veteran member of this forum. I have to use this brand new account to remain anonymous but later I may reveal my identity. P.P.S. You can not transfer BTC to NXT after the genesis block is generated and approved by the community.
I got some offers, on the launch or shortly after it we will have the following services: 1] Faucet. It will be funded by our donations 2] Currency exchange. Classical BTC-to-NXT-n-back exchange 3] Stock exchange. If I got it correctly this is going to be a simplified (for non-pro traders) version of a stock exchange, can be used for crowdfunding 4] Virtual goods store. The goods will be provided by ordinary users (books, links, game codes, anything represented as plain text) The interface is still in development but can be tested on http://88.198.210.245:7875
Follow me on Twitter @BCNext. All important information will be tweeted.Twitter suspended my account. This is just an overly complex way to buy coins. The simple way is to release the client so the user can create a new NEX address. When that is done, they can send their BTC with the return NEX address. None of this weird mechanism of having to hash a private key.

Can you give a rough estimate then on which batch numbers will get their AMT 1.2 THs miners this February? Not looking for exact precision. I am at order #962, will I get it this month? Yes Carlos, You will receive your miner this month. If things stay on track, your miner will ship in the third week of the month Okay, looks almost too good to be true. PM me if anyone wants order #962. LOL... Looks at pot of gold sitting in front of his face... Photographs of it... And even hears the person next to him saying, "Looks like you finally got what you came for." Then you walk away... saying, "Must not be real. You take it! I don't even want to know if it is real. I am going home empty-handed, this was a long walk to the end of the street!" Please, give me 6.3 BTC for the machine that will ultimately produce about 20-30 BTC worth of value ($400,000+ in two years, by the worst estimates*), before it dies. I'll catch it next time, when it only produces one quarter of that volume, at the same price. * Estimates in the "realistic" range of alt-mining for BTC value. (Not mining BTC directly.) Only about 18.47 BTC mining BTC directly, in the machines life-time. But BTC alone is a useless value unless you know the price it will be at the time you earn the last one. (Or the time you cash it out.) Wish I still had the money to give you a refund myself, for your order. Should have taken me up on that offer a few weeks ago, when the opportunity arose. I am sure someone will gladly take it off your hands. Sending the money to AMT, so they can forward it to you, and change the address for the order. (I would not suggest dealing with anyone directly. Especially with a high negative trade-rate.) You do realize you can use coinbase.com to instantly trade-out BTC for cash... Right... (Not that it is a wise choice since BTC will ultimately be way up above $20,000/BTC by the next drop/halving in reward.) What are you babbling about here?! I'm selling to hedge my risk, I'm obviously asking more than the $6,000 I spent on it.
