2021  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Overstock and CounterParty....much news. on: October 08, 2014, 01:59:33 AM
Bitcoin has a tendency to be a 51% attack victim. One of the reasons why several experts had suspected price manipulation with recent downtrend of bitcoin price. Some investors might still not see this as a reason to hedge over to another crypto assets.
2022  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Overstock and CounterParty....much news. on: October 07, 2014, 10:56:50 PM
IMO, Overstock clearly did not go  through the bitcoin 2.0 models , readily available  today. Counterparty has no blockchain of its own. It only piggybacks on the blockchain of bitcoin. Very slow confirmation due to its high difficulty and high volume in mining . And the developers of bitcoin decided to change something on the blockchain it will affect the counterparty ecosystem . I have tried using counterparty platform. It was a disgusting experience because too high transaction fee and too slow confirmation due to bitcoin .

Do we now have an estimated value in terms of BTC for this cryptocurrency? How about an exchange (outside of counterparty)?

Seems a lot of plans changed here. I would like to ask the devs if the initial plan for the price of PAWN of 5-25 USD is still alive tough?

+1

doubt it bro. They have mentioned pawcoin-only IPO for e-pawncoin . Now they have bitcoin in the mix.

Yeah, there was always going to have to be a balance between listening to the community and sticking to their guns.  I applaud the devs for listening but I do think too much has been changed or not communicated still.

Err Balance??? or dev now realized they can make quick buck out of changing policies. That is the very reason why this coin cant take off in the first place.

Obviously I meant that the first stage should continue until all 20% of the epawncoins are sold.
And if you make an IPO where you say first stage ends when you decide and no one knows, this will look not fair as it can be pre arranged or fixed by muggy deal. I myself would not take part under this conditions, sound like predetermined fast ponzy scheme within closed circle of people.

Check out Simcoin, they are using the same process to raise funds for their own development fund. It's not a ponzy scheme. It's fair because it doesn't allow a big investors to invest at the last minute thereby taking all the shares.

IMO, Still a get-rich-quick-get-out scheme. e-pawncoin from pawncoin and btc? Nota good move for investors.

OK I am actually frustrated about all that new stuff and it is still not clear to me, but especialy this line:

STAGE 1: 10,000,000 ePawncoin available for BTC or PawnCoin

Aren't the IPO going to be accepting only PAWNs, not BTCs?

Ditto to the statement above. This is just a mirror of my post earlier which was deleted for criticizing the dev that they have conflicting opinions .

After participating in every IPO, I think this structure is the best. MaidSafeCoin raised almost $6 million it's volume is below $10,000. Now can IPO investors get ROI on their investments if there are no enough trading volume.  I don't look at the marketcap but 24 hours trading volume on exchange.
With the combination of the fixed rate and multi pool, ePawncoin could be the next big thing.

Don't you ever compare pawncoin to MaidSafe as those dev are hardworking and kickass programmers with a future technology and fine printed plans of their product . With regards to your IPO planning how could you have a bright future with the purpose of getting an IPO without concrete planning for products and services. Even coinpod.net is affected when you guys planning to sell it.
2033  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][PAWN] Pawncoin -Own Exchange- Pawnshop [Coinpod] Sign up Multi-Pool Beta on: April 30, 2014, 07:01:33 AM
I was ignored by  the dev. I guess this crypto currency is over-hyped. No explanation on how would epawncoin  works, much more the stake being offered to investors about shares in the exchange. All blah blah blah .Not very promising as I understood the first time the coin had been introduced. $5 / pawncoin?Huh dream on  and welcome to neverland .

ePawncoin is a next generation that will have asset and decentralize exchange. We are still working on the development. 40% of the exchange[coinpod.net] will be offer for IPO. This week is very busy due to conflicting work schedule.

IPO thru what? cryptostock or burning of pawncoins to be epawncoins?

We are considering bitcoinbourse, Havelock or Cryptostock. We don't want to hold IPO for coinpod.net before we start having huge volume so that it will not be undervalued.
There's no IPO for epawncoin and its not a Bitcoin clone

Ok thanks dev for clearing things up . Im outta here.  Angry

If coinpod is going public how can we obtain shares?
 Huh

It will be listed on Cryptostocks

whoa hold your horses there. My assumption is the proof of burn concept. For an investor to have stake at share of    coinpod, you have to be epawncoin holder which is from burning pawncoins. IS this accurate? Please dev clarify this.
2037  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][PAWN] Pawncoin -Own Exchange+Pawnshop [Coinpod] Launched on: April 25, 2014, 03:19:29 AM
Good to see the progress so far.

More promotion is required though. Not many people are aware of the potential of pawncoin and the many services which comes with it.

Coinpod works well with the simple interface in the alpha stage but later some work needs to be done to make it look a little more appealing and sophisticated.

Voting on Mintpal is not going to be so productive. Mintpal gives preference to coins with good daily volumes as is clear in its latest coin additions. All we need is for the services to kick in and attract more people which will greatly improve the daily trade volume.

Also what's the ETA on burning of pawncoin to epawncoin and the multipool ?
Other services like eTerm Deposits and cloud mining are going to be started soon too?

Looking forward to all the services  getting started and the pawnshop gaining momentum.
Pawncoin is certainly one of the best kept secrets here and more people are going to realize it soon.

Best of luck to the team! Smiley

The multi-pool is being developed by two of the pawncoin community members and they will reveal it to the community whenever they are comfortable doing so. We have seen the beta version of the multi-pool and we wish them luck launching the final version

As soon as Coinpod goes public, the IPO fund will be used to fund the development of epawncoin, eTerm Deposits and cloud mining.

Thanks for your kind words.

People forgot that pawncoin is just one month project, there's still room for growth

I agree . There are a lot of promising services that involve pawncoin. I cant wait to have stake (shares) in coinpod via epawncoin.

Do pawncoin holders have earnings in the exchange? Dividends from transactions fees? If none who earn transaction fees?
