2021  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is trading an occupation? on: April 04, 2021, 12:23:06 PM
Yes it’s considered an occupation. In this term, occupation doesn’t refer only to someone who has a fixed day job or being the president or head of the company. It can be a career where you can call yourself as a professional trader. This reminds me of a good friend of mine who quits his night shift work last year in order to become a professional cryptocurrency trader, and oh yes, he reaped the rewards despite having difficulties in the first place.
2022  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC was a lifetime chance and I don't think we will see a similar opportunity on: April 04, 2021, 12:20:01 PM
I don't imagine anything else that you'll be able to get for free or pennies and then value million times more. I just can't. No lottery will ever give you that. I admire the early adopters and wish I've been one of them, unfortunately no "friend" told me about it and I only joined in 2013 when I've found about it alone, still not bad but could have been better.

Indeed! I regretted not knowing about Bitcoin during the time 10,000 BTCs were paid for 2 pizzas. Also in 2014, I think the price of BTC was around $600 or less, in which I ignored it for a few years because I didn’t fully understand it. In mid-2017, that’s where I slowly began transitioning from a network marketer/freelance data entry specialist to a passionate cryptocurrency enthusiast, trader, etc., where I usually bought tokens from ICOs and participating in airdrops and bounty programs. And then in December 2020, I missed the boat where BTC has grown from $12k to $30k+.
2023  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Pilipinas bilang isa sa mga pinaka-aktibong komunidad ng Bitcoin sa Asya. on: April 04, 2021, 12:10:12 PM
Despite na itong bansa natin ang isa sa mga pinaka-active na komunidad, most of them were from NCR and Luzon area. Yung iba nasa Cebu City at Davao City ata.
2024  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Any good recent bounty campaigns? on: April 04, 2021, 11:59:13 AM
Usually I follow these bounty managers here:

1. Bounty Detective
2. irfan_pak10
3. Hhampuz
4. Fatemablabla
5. Wapinter
6. Sofico
7. TaliskerDarkStorm (more on competitions)
8. Bounty0x (outside of Bitcointalk)

As for persgrata, even though he seems to do well in his bounty threads, he doens’t mention the exact end date of the bounties that he hosted. It’s like when I have made my all-out effort in making a content and ended up seeing the submission form closed unexpectedly, because of not mentioning or disclosing the final date early.

And of course, I had to agree that it’s difficult nowadays for you to participate in bounty programs with negative trust. Just my opinion.
2025  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Don't buy merits on: April 04, 2021, 11:47:57 AM
I heard you can buy merits through telegram links for your bitcointalk account, Brothers and sisters you aren't helping yourself if you buying those merits because you won't even know how better you are getting on the forum with your posts and contributions, and again if you are a bad poster you will always remain the same, abstains from such act

This reminds me of some of my friends back then. The day this forum had implemented merit system, they were disgusted about not ranking up anymore (like they’re just few activities short in gaining the next rank). As a result, they have exchanged merits with one another in some consecutive posts and ended up getting permabanned.

Merits are just a bonus from me. I know that I wanna rank up, but I would rather choose to stop thinking in getting after that rank and instead keep contributing that would help the community, fighting against scammers, etc., as I am already blessed in other ways.
2026  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Recovering losses on: April 04, 2021, 11:32:58 AM
This reminds me back then about my huge losses of not just one, but multiple coins that I hold. You know why? It’s because I just relying on buying and holding, etc., and not doing some jobs that could give me fixed income or sustainability. I was too greedy back then, but I finally learned my lesson. It took me a long while to move on because of that huge loss, but now that’s just my past and I learn how to manage my risks.

Right now I am into copy and futures trading, and I only invest and trade what I can afford to lose. Of course, I had to admit that my first trade in futures trading was not something that I have expected, but I have managed my risk by only putting an amount to trade where I can just treat it as “dead money”. In that way, I’ve trained my emotions to get stronger despite the loss. Same thing goes to copy trading where my P&L is going sideways and didn’t gained much yet.

But I’ve enjoyed it. I really am.
2027  Economy / Economics / Re: How the rich get richer and why it works on: April 04, 2021, 11:28:05 AM
This remembers me of one old saying “The rich gets richer, and the poor gets poorer”.

I’ve learned this during my days as a network marketer who attended so many motivational and financial literacy trainings. The real reason why the rich gets richer, is because they keep continuing to invest on more promising opportunities like stocks, derivatives, crypto, etc., that give them long-term passive income. They have a rich mindset where they focus more on buying assets than liabilities with proper risk management.

On the other hand, the poor gets poorer and I highly agree with this statement. It’s because they have a poor mindset. It always starts with their mindset, and that’s where they are now and might instill that to their future generations. Poor mindset includes spending more on liabilities than assets, not thinking big by being contented in their minimum wages, afraid of taking and managing risks, etc.

That’s what I know about the rich gets richer, and the poor gets poorer.
2028  Economy / Economics / Re: More bullish news: Paypal will alllow crypto checkout on: April 04, 2021, 11:21:25 AM
I have a Paypal business account since 2009 and it’s my main payment gateway before I’m getting serious into Bitcoin. Although that this is a welcoming bullish news to all of us, especially merchants, I still choose not to put some BTCs and other cryptocurrencies there.

“Not your keys, not your coins”.

But this is great news for merchants who are looking to accept Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies in their respective e-commerce stores or online shops.
2029  Economy / Speculation / Re: Here is why April may be the best month yet for Bitcoin price on: April 04, 2021, 11:16:57 AM
The U.S. dollar is starting to weaken once again as sellers are pushing the U.S. Dollar Index (DXY) downward, which could strengthen the momentum of Bitcoin (BTC) in the near term. READ THE COMPLETE ARTICLE HERE: https://worldpublicityblog.com/index.php/2021/04/04/here-is-why-april-may-be-the-best-month-yet-for-bitcoin-price/

I can see that Bitcoin may realistically reach $100k by the end of this year. Bitcoin’s $60k+ price last month already exceeded my expectations. Large institutions continue to adopt Bitcoin by any means necessary, as they don’t wanna be left out. However, the tax deadline is this month, so I might expect a little pullback (correct me if I’m wrong though) before we can see new all-time high of Bitcoin and may push forward even further.
2030  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Marvel featuring Bitcoin!!😀 on: April 04, 2021, 11:05:47 AM
The Marvel Cinematic Universe or so called Marvles studio famous for it's superhero films and series has just promoted Bitcoin in their style in one of the episode of "The Falcon and the Winter Soldier" premiered on Disney plus.It is text message which is Bitcoin bounty.

Quote
Power Broker, being the newest episode showed one of the characters receiving a text message that reads: Selby Dead.1k Bitcoin bounty for her killers.1000 Bitcoins is equivalent to $58.8 million. The message was received 24 minutes into the episode

It was really surprising and good news being both Marvel fan and Bitcoin enthusiast as Bitcoin is becoming quite a great topic these days and everyone is showing their willingness to adopt to the most advanced digital and decentralised monetary system.Any Marvel fan here is aslo excited from this?

I’m a huge MCU Fan! Been watching all movies since the first Iron Man up to the current series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. I’m just blown away with them referencing the Bitcoin bounty! But don’t forget that the first MCU movie who referenced Bitcoin in one of the clips was “Ant Man and The Wasp”.

I just hope that Marvel would be creating their own NFT marketplace like the NBA Top Shot, Veve, etc.
2031  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I'm wondering who trades with paid signals? on: April 03, 2021, 05:25:11 PM
I'm honestly not a fan of these paid signals. They are not accurate because the cryptocurrency market is highly unpredictable and has high volatility. Moreover, these paid signals doesn't guarantee you always a profit every time you buy that coin or token. I usually use Newscrypto's trading signals in their platform which is free of course, but it's also not gonna give any guarantees or promises in results. We just have to learn how to manage our risks very well.
2032  Economy / Economics / Re: bitcoin wasn’t created to make you rich. It was created to make you free on: April 03, 2021, 04:58:15 PM
I don't really see Bitcoin being created to make me a rich guy (unless of course if I have bought some during the time 2 pizzas cost around 10,000 BTC). It's just a bonus for me if I become wealthy later on. What I definitely liked about Bitcoin is that it's deflationary and free from third party control like the banks and government because it's running under a decentralized blockchain technology. I had to admit that my bank account is always "almost" empty, as I usually use it as a "withdrawal gateway" purpose, as I put much of my savings into Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.
2033  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: donate with Bitcoin on: April 03, 2021, 04:47:15 PM
If only I have the talent in being a digital artist, I could have made lots of art, converted to NFT and if sold, I could donate BTC to some nonprofit organizations, charities, etc., especially those organizations who are on a mission to help fight COVID-19. NFTs are profitable nowadays, but it's also a bubble. I usually head over to Cryptoslam website to check which NFT collectible websites are worth for me to buy and collect.
2034  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Bitcoin adoption isn't stopping on: March 31, 2021, 11:57:23 AM
Bitcoin adoption is unstoppable. Slowly but surely, these companies are going to start adopt and acknowledge Bitcoin. We just have to continue educating the masses about the real and positive use cases of Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies. It doesn’t matter how long will they adopt, as long we keep educating them, it’s way better than nothing at all.
2035  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Tried futures trading for the first time on: March 31, 2021, 11:41:22 AM
Okay so I have decided to make some small risks by putting an amount that I can afford to lose in futures trading. Right now, I am choosing the ETH/USDT pairing and I declared it short 5x with 30% stop loss. Still learning the ropes of futures trading since I am not totally contented with just copy trading only. I did gained with copy trading, but I would like to learn how to self-gain it myself with my own decisions in futures trading.

I am not gonna close my trade yet until I’m finally into profit or it reaches the SL amount, coz’ right now it’s still at a loss. I would definitely try futures trading everyday than just spot trading, at least this could add up to my learning especially some TAs, etc.
2036  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I tried to tell him just HODL bitcoin, don't make this hard. on: March 31, 2021, 11:29:27 AM
I got into futures trading for the first time (both live and demo), and I was asking if I should short or long BTC. As of this time of writing, looks like Bitcoin is trading sideways and I am not sure if I am gonna long or short it.

As a day trader, of course we can choose whether to long or short BTC. However if you are just an investor who believe in Bitcoin for the long term, it’s better that you keep HODLing it. Despite that results are not guaranteed and accurate, I have a feeling that BTC might reach $100k before 2021 ends. The current gains of BTC nowadays have exceeded my expectations.
2037  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] GOLD - First 100% Liquid Stablecoin Backed by Gold on: March 29, 2021, 05:49:24 AM
why did the price drop dramatically?  I saw in Bitforex the trade is no longer available

Dear Always AL,

Please use our marketplace for the price check of the GOLD token https://gold.storage/en/market Currently our tech team is sorting out what happened. All user funds are in a safe place. The gold is in the Bullionstar vault. https://www.bullionstar.com/myaccount/audit account   17081. You can personally check it here.

A snapshot of holders' wallets was taken before the Bitforex incident. All gold tokens which were on users' wallets are safe.

Can you please answer the concerns of the community members here regarding the smart contract being compromised? Especially that your total supply already increased by millions? Any explanation on this?
2038  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] GOLD - First 100% Liquid Stablecoin Backed by Gold on: March 28, 2021, 09:55:52 PM
Can you explain the massive price dump here? Never saw this one coming in a sudden way!!!

This is the first time I've seen this coin getting dumped this big instantly. Probably a whale dumper or something?

Dear cheezcarls,
On bitforex exchange, somebody sold a big amount of gold tokens. There were not enough buy orders to buy that amount that's why the price fall. Right now you can see that price on Coinmarketcap and Etherscan.

This can happen on any exchange with any cryptocurrency. Just wait for the working days (now is the weekend) and then you can exchange tokens on our marketplace at a price of 1 token equals 1 gram of gold

Support Team @ Digital Gold

Ok but in the marketplace, there's a big fee if I wanna convert GOLD to BTC. So you mean to say I wanna convert it first to 1 gram of gold before fiat?

2040  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is good amount to start day trading is 100$ enough?? on: March 28, 2021, 01:10:59 PM
Before you are going to commit with that amount, always put in your mind that you should treat it as a “dead money”. It means you should only invest what you can afford to lose. When I have started copy trading with $100, I already told myself that this money is already “dead”. So even if I lose a lot, it’s okay. But if I win in copy trading, I would only take out the profits and retain the original capital. It’s all about managing your risks properly. Hope this advice helps.
