2021  Economy / Economics / Re: Will chatgpt really destroy the job market? on: June 01, 2023, 04:40:40 AM
Chatgpt can destroy a market that competes with it, but not a job market. When chatgpt dropped, people thought it'll take the job from writers, and it turned out to be an assistant to facilitate writing. Chatgpt can help many people execute their tasks easily in form of a conversation, unlike google that provides answers for a person to read. Chatgpt creates a recurring information that can make the reader to remember their questions. However, AI generally can take up the job market because everyone wants a fast and easy action, that's why companies go for AI they won't have to control human beings but robots. As time creeps by the AI industry would keep advancing and some niches can get affected.
2022  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Dad's retirement money is invested in Bitcoin! on: June 01, 2023, 04:16:22 AM
It's a nice risk, but the timing is short. If your dad can wait for more years and won't need half of his money he could see more profits because the market could go bullish and the price is quote low considering the fall of bitcoin price. I don't know how huge the money is, but if the market hits 35k, your dad would be proud with the amount of money you'll hand over to him. However, it's a decision that will make or mar your father's money, on the other flip it's quite a nice decision compared to the amount of money building a house requires. If you convince your dad, to see the bitcoin investment as a building project and that his money is safe; that is, it won't disappear no matter what unless hacked. So, if along the line the market doesn't move up in your favor you can quit and withdraw the money back. Not a financial advice.
2023  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why the disagreement between the Government, Bank and Bitcoin? on: May 29, 2023, 08:55:39 PM
if Bitcoiners quarrel with the two institutions, you could have seen Bitcoiners making an aggressive rally and assaulting these two institutions, but we never see that happen, do we?

You took it way too far from what I meant. The quarrel happens online and bitcoiners also take it to the streets to point projectors with bitcoin logo on banks and top governmental offices. Such thing happened in Frankfurt. Whereas on the internet it's been multiple arguments and posts from bitcoiners that shade on banks and their activities. Nobody is expecting a rally, as the banks are not taking it to the streets too, it's all an online dispute. For instance, if the JP Morgan CEO makes a bad comment on bitcoin, you'd see lots of negative responses from bitcoiners towards the CEO's point of view. That's the kind of quarrel I meant on my post, thanks.
2024  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: OCC recommend banks to offer private key vaults to customers on: May 29, 2023, 08:45:53 PM
I don't understand why we should entrust the keys to our non-custodial wallets to a custodial bank. The concept seems nonsensical to me. I wouldn't store anything related to cryptocurrency, such as private keys, in such a place. However, I agree that hardware wallets could be a suitable option for storage if necessary. With hardware wallets, it's important to note that none of the funds can be moved from the device without the password. Nevertheless, I personally don't feel secure storing my seeds or private keys with a third party.

Yeah, storing hardware wallets is also among the services, just that holding private keys won't sit right with any experienced cryptocurrency trader. But, a good advantage to this is that the family of a deceased person can claim and assess the coin of their brethren. The rule is that nobody should hold our keys, but in a service like this we can also know if the bank accesses our cryptocurrency, and make any transaction. So, it looks like a good idea, because it's not like fiat where the bank controls the digits shown to customer and make use of their money for businesses. In an idea like this customers can pay service fees for storing their private key in the bank.
2025  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / OCC recommend banks to offer private key vaults to customers on: May 29, 2023, 02:01:13 PM
The Office of the comptroller of the currency in an article provides different ways that banks can impact cryptocurrency or bitcoin. In one of their letters, they advised banks that bitcoin can help them make more profits, but one of the suggested business ideas is awkward in the cryptocurrency sense.

Quote

Custody Services

In July, the OCC stated that banks and savings associations could provide crypto custody services for customers, including holding unique cryptographic keys associated with accessing private wallets. This means that the OCC believes that banks could safely and effectively hold either the cryptocurrency itself, or the key to access crypto on a personal digital wallet for its customers.

If the bank adopts such a business technique of impacting the cryptocurrency space, it could help the market, but it's not advisable for banks to hold their customer's private keys; the security can be guaranteed since they save different assets for people too. If a hacker gets to their database, unless they save it in a paper, it'll be disastrous. Hence, I see positive reactions to the idea, many banking customers getting into crypto is a good wave, entering the market on the wrong side is a disadvantage to them.
2026  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The time has come to earn Bitcoin from a Youtube channel on: May 29, 2023, 11:39:11 AM
Starting any social media page from scratch consumes lots of energy and it's always a hassle to make quick money from the page. I'd suggest that you purchase an already existing youtube page from social media marketplaces and begin your crypto youtube channel journey. The best way to earn bitcoin is to accept donations on the page and also reach out to new cryptocurrency projects that needs exposure on youtube. As for youtube monetization, they don't pay content creators in bitcoin. However, you can also promote your blog on Patreon and drive traffic through there. Create a Patreon account using your domain name as your username, subscribe to a content creator there, normally they'll shout out the username of their subscribers on new videos. You'll get your domain name called out to thousands of people and many would check through your website. In addition, get in touch with the content creators too, for a youtube shout out, that way you'll be getting more viewers on youtube.
2027  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why the disagreement between the Government, Bank and Bitcoin? on: May 28, 2023, 10:43:32 PM
Taxation and regulation. These two are the conflicts which differ this blockchain to banks, and to why some governments are against adoption of this technology. This technology is decentralized and that means transactions cannot be regulated and taxed unlike with bank transactions wherein regulation is obvious which is also the reason why it is taxed. There's no need for a tangible reason which somehow makes sense given that this technology runs through online for being a digital currency. Governments simply has the power whether to allow it or not to whatever reason they have. As long as this technology won't be supported by the mass public, then things would just continue for years. The only thing we could do is to wait for further developments to happen for this industry since not all things could be forced.

From your perspective, I'd call it corporate greed. They want to take charge of every single transaction that occurs on the blockchain, but find it difficult to achieve. And they can't believe that a technology was thought out exceptionally well to be above their control; the regulation has been delaying for years, it pisses them off to see citizens escaping the taxes they get from banks. How long will the public be held back from doing what they want, maybe they don't understand bitcoin yet. The government is powerful yes, but bitcoin is always a step ahead.

The only thing we could do is to wait for further developments to happen for this industry since not all things could be forced.

Do you mean technical or financial developments?
2028  Economy / Economics / Re: Logic of life on: May 28, 2023, 10:24:10 PM
OP is right, generally speaking, you don't need knowledge to inherit wealth. Inheritance is one factor that made lots of billionaires today. However, in an entrepreneurial sense, learning different things won't help. A person should focus on learning one business in different manners and strategies. A salesperson that reads materials and listen to podcasts on sales strategies will definitely improve their sales knowledge and increase revenue. But, if the same person spends time reading about how to fix cars, cook, fly, etc that knowledge won't be of use to the revenue of that individual because it's not in his niche.
2029  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Why the disagreement between the Government, Bank and Bitcoin? on: May 28, 2023, 10:08:08 PM
Among the last three terms on my topic, each has representatives, and they've been having disagreements; the Government and banks against Bitcoin. With no tangible reason why it's so? I mean, Electricity came, the government and the bank accepted it and placed an electricity bill, the internet came they both accepted it and the Government works with ISPs to take bills from data subscriptions. Bitcoin came they took advantage of centralized exchanges, yet they're not satisfied. I've read multiple bad reasons placed on bitcoin volatility, fraud, etc, and don't see it tangible because every innovation has its risks and importance.

On the contrary, why do Bitcoiners quarrel with them? knowing that they, Government and Bank, got no strong evidence to tarnish the image of Bitcoin completely. I think the quarrel will make Bitcoin very famous to the extent that both opponents will have no other option than to submit to Bitcoin.
2030  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: obsolete bitcoin investment advices [change needed] on: May 28, 2023, 09:07:15 PM
In today's bitcoin, we know that if you invest with your spare money you may never make any fortune from bitcoin.
Spare money does not mean small money, don't misunderstand the two. Spare money is the money that is not included in your budget for expenses, or money that you budget to invest in bitcoins after you have sorted out other financial problems.

2. Invest what you are able to lose;
3. DYOR (Do your own research):
These two are also still very valid, these are tips that never go out of need and everyone needs to always be reminded about it constantly that is why it is always being mentioned. If they are not said, they will be forgotten and people especially new Investors will make mistakes.

Spare money is as good as investing what we are able to lose. And in the OP's thoughts, Investing into bitcoin with funds that'll be required anytime soon by the investor can lead to losses in bitcoin. Hence, investing in bitcoin for quick profits has nothing to do with spare cash. Like you defined spare cash, if a person invests into bitcoin the money they are able to lose they'll gain enough profits; that should be the reason behind the number 2 advise. Because, they'll consider the investment as a lost money and don't remember to check up on it for a while, given time the money will accumulate to a substantial amount of profits.
2031  Economy / Economics / Re: Would you consider moving abroad? on: May 28, 2023, 07:26:43 PM
I prefer moving abroad to have better life, but the fund necessary for all the needs isn't available at the moment. First of all it is must to complete all the debts and further make plans on moving to a new country. These days the process, language test eligibility are given much importance. Not everyone comes back successful after getting a job abroad. The good thing is people using the resources and the earnings in the right way and profiting out of it. In the past moving abroad doesn't involve big process, now the process involved itself huge and takes lot of time.
Me too, given that all over the world are experiencing inflation it is real harder to save money for me to migrate to other country even though this country I am living is not worth while to be live because of corruption and low salary for people like us. Living abroad is a major decision and will help anyone but then we should consider the living expenses as well because it will cost a lot too.
A major problem in underdeveloped countries is the high level of corruption. As a result, the quality of life is very poor at that place.  Inflation poses an even bigger problem there. Overall, if a person wants to live a normal life, the difference between his income and expenditure is very high, so he cannot enjoy life. But there are some developed countries where a worker's salary is commensurate with which they have the opportunity to lead a much better life. Moreover, even if the environment and culture of the developed world is different from the third world country, after a few days a new person is able to adapt there. If one wants to move to developed countries based on his current situation then I would say he should go. Anyone who goes there will have a different experience.

It's worthwhile to understand that these immigrants, professionals in a field, may not get immediate employment in their field. A medical practitioner in an underdeveloped country may get underemployed in a tier 1 country as a cleaner. S/he would do the work because the pay is quite higher than what they get as a medical practitioner in their country. Gradually, they'll live that way for some time, and fortunately or definitely one day they'll get employed as doctors in the new country, untill they their standard of living will be average. Those that work hard will get a better standard of living depending on their business or line of work in the new country.
2032  Other / Off-topic / Re: Your money on: May 27, 2023, 11:19:38 PM
Even the head cannot save money, a person can have a memory loss and forget about all they used to know. If their hippocampus gets affected, they'll have to start afresh to learn again. Few things on earth are guaranteed, saving a wealth isn't guaranteed. Wealth can disappear, stolen or forgotten. I could remember how embarrassed I felt the day I forgot my password; my brain failed me. I used this example because unlocking my device is something I do more than 10 times a day. So, people should hold their money in ways they think works for them. Because we have different destinies.
2033  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin or banking investment? on: May 27, 2023, 11:01:37 PM
Banking investment is compound interest and it's not an investment to be compared to bitcoin. Bitcoin is a general contribution of money by different people all over the world. The higher the number of holders and trading increases the price reflects to the trend and vice versa. While compound interest has to do with how much you invested into the bank. Another person's investment can not affect your investment; you earn nothing from someone else's investment. In bitcoin we all gain profits if someone purchases bitcoin. The value of bitcoin increases and fiat buying power is drastically falling. I'll choose both bitcoin and bank, but won't go for banking investment; compound interest.
2034  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What happens to altcoins ? on: May 27, 2023, 10:52:43 PM
Only few buyers hold altcoins for long term profits, they don't trust the process. Unlike bitcoin, buyers can hold continuously not minding the market situation. Some altcoins can go down to zero from $15 during a bear market. So, investors find it difficult to throw in money into such coins. Hence, coins like litecoin is holding tight during this market down trend and increases alongside the bitcoin price. Other new coins with lesser market cap may not survive like the older and experienced coins; encountered multiple market changes. Bulk buying altcoins and holding them is very risky.
2035  Other / Meta / Re: Crimes of signatures campaign affects forum? on: May 27, 2023, 10:38:39 PM
I observed that it affects the member, reading people's responses. Meaning that every internet advertiser should be held responsible, if any project they promote commits any crime. It'll reduce scam projects on the internet, but how can people predict the future. A business that started up fine and legit can turn a scam business later. Members here frown at promoting any crime business, any found guilty will come to a hurt. Or, reported, if they don't stop promoting the project and exposed to everyone's notice that such a project is scam. Since we are not direct employees of the projects promoted here, no relationship exist between us, the company won't be affected if you commit a crime too.
2036  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Interesting Bitcoin Members Business Opportunity on: May 27, 2023, 10:25:42 PM

I'm curious how you came up with that idea of a name though.

Considering it's a two word domain, he is lucky to get such a brand able domain name, and such names are always hard to find. However, they're still good bitcoin related names left; not yet registered. Ideas always arrive, when looking for a domain name. Though sites like nameboy.com facilitates the search hassle these days. I'd suggest that Op don't sell it now, the name would increase in value. A buyer that needs or searched for a name will pay higher. Tried checking the estibot worth of the domain, but the site is not opening on my end. Hence, it's not always the actual worth, a name can sell higher than its estibot depending on the selling technique of the owner.

Tier 1 countries provide great opportunities to immigrants, but not everyone is meant to succeed in a different country. What could be the reason is because of the discipline of such people; the person's standard of living in his home country. It's always difficult for adults to adapt completely to a new, fresh and different location. Such people may find it difficult to strongly pursue the goal in their mind, as they'll feel like its impossible to start afresh. Life is made differently for each person, so failure is everywhere. No need to see the new location as a place where money grows on trees. The essence of traveling is to change environment and lean new culture; language, dressing, behavior. It improves the brain.
2038  Economy / Economics / Re: For whoever has, to him more will be given, and he will have abundance on: May 26, 2023, 06:18:10 PM
Taking it from a cryptocurrency point of view, bitcoin is already big in market capitalization and more people still put in money into it, while some altcoins are seeing massive decline of investors. The advise all over the market is to invest on coins that have proven to be profitable on the long run. Similar to what is happening in other businesses. Elon's businesses would bring profits to the investors that's why they're contributing more money into the project and he's building fresh technologies that has been rampant in the tech world. So, it's sure that it'll progress and succeeds, these investors take calculated risks and don't love throwing money on businesses that doesn't guarantee profits.
2039  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Come and let me teach you how to get rich quick on: May 26, 2023, 06:09:25 PM
On the contrary, successful people are always willing to teach, but you'll have to ask them first. That's the difference with those that hit up people on telegram or other social media platforms claiming that their ebook contains a trick that'll teach people how to make 1k dollars a week. In a sense the ebook is the trick, nothing to learn in there. Intelligent people would ask why they are selling the cow, the seller already cooked up a delicious response for questions like that writing the book. However, some successful people have the time to teach people in their niche to learn how they could climb. Especially in a social media era where top players in every industry has a platform where they publish free tips for their followers. In a way, no knowledge is a waste.
2040  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Let's Make Children's Day Memorable with Bitcoin any suggestions? on: May 26, 2023, 06:01:00 PM
All you need to do to make things interesting for the kids aside buying them gifts, you could get somebody to wear a bitcoin custom that looks funny and dance in the presence of kids, maybe in the mall or amusement park. I was thinking of a means to make it memorable for the kids around me, and concluded that I'll watch them perform in the amusement park or playgrounds with their parents. Hopefully, some kids who are my friends can stop by and greet me too, definitely they'll get a reward for that, it's their day.
