2021  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Ordinals: Rare and exotic sats on: February 09, 2023, 07:18:57 PM
This is by far the most interesting thing happening in Bitcoin at the moment, and except for a couple uppity threads where the usual ninnys are yelling at it, almost zero recognition on the Bitcoin Forum for the accomplishment of bringing so much newfound attention to bitcoin. Its just not a subject that is conducive to sig spamming, hence the relative silence.

Congrats rodarmor, you earned it

Line was 0 immediately after the last playoff game. It has since shifted to Eagles -1.5, so more bets are taking the Eagles. I feel on one hand KC benefits from having SB veterans playing and a SB veteran coach. On the other hand Hurts is a beast, will probably get a lot of rushing yards and possibly even run one in, and the Eagles D triumphs over the Chiefs in just about every metric.

Gad, feels bad betting against KC tho. I will ponder it for another day or two.

Damn, launched in Sept 2013.

I remember seeing it on early exchanges like CoinedUp and Cryptsy but I never bought any.

Somebody should tell Elon Musk about this coin.

@bitcoin_clown
What do u think happens when #bitcoin  reaches $69K and its block reward is cut in half? 🤷

I'll tell you: we're gonna start seeing 25k+ candles and it only take a few of those to get to 200k-350k

the way i see it this is just more meaningless social drama...
you know, silly social that can be debunked by anyone who does the research into what franky1 is ACTUALLY saying.

thats right folks the main problem you can't realize is that you don't do research. me on the other hand, all i do is research... i do so much research i hardly have time to write huge walls of text on this forum , in threads where i've been asked to cease particepation , countless times... all because they fear the power of ACTUAL RESEARCH.

you will not out-research me. i will research circles around you, just like franky1 does...  how DARE you try to silence him? you cannot manipulate him like you do the market cap.

yep i have been researching since i was in the womb and that is why i know things that you turn a blind eye to. this is because you have no clue of the basic facts of reality... you are afraid to learn so you accuse me of derailing.

sorry but segwit was a hostile takeover. millisats don't exist.

heck not even the entire lighting network is real... it is a figmant of the blocksize gestappo's imagination. liquid makes even less sense but its still around because you all worship at the alter of your messiah adam beck.

ofcourse he has NO CLUE about what bitcoin actually is... just put your social drama aside and go do research. then you will discover how you have been misled , and finally see the light.

yep.

millisats.

You really are an unusually good representative of what seems to be the mentality of the standard Ukroid pawn.

Quite sad that you can't see the same for yourself as a Putin pawn. When what you write makes sense, which is rare, it is the direct regurgitation of some low caliber anti-intellectual propaganda. It renders you an unwitting stooge for some of the stupidest kind of evil currently present in the world.

Sure, the US isn't a good role model, and the post-9/11 invasion of Iraq and Afghanistan were tragedies that solely served the wants of the war machine. But to actively take the side of a dictator whose actions so obviously reflect having been in power far too long because the hatred of your native soil compels you to is embarrassing.

You get some kind of weird kick out of the misery and suffering caused by Putin. I'll never understand it other than you must desperately crave his level of power and control. It really is sad.

The next time you post here fishing for merits I will red tag you and all your alt accounts for bounty cheating, and I know you have a lot more than this.
2030  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Coins.ph Official Thread on: February 08, 2023, 06:57:25 AM
For me, Coins.ph is far from being bankrupt hehe, as a matter of fact, their logo can be seen on the PBA games as they have partnered with the biggest basketball league in the Philippines so I think they are still going strong.

In all likelihood they are not going bankrupt. But FTX was spending millions on advertisements and promotions up until the minute they went bankrupt, so I don't think their partnerships necessarily mean anything.

There's a workaround [an android emulator] for accessing their e-wallet services on a PC, but it's quite risky if you're keeping a lot of funds with them!

Customer service said I need to update my KYC, which is impossible b/c the app keeps telling me I am already approved. I told them this so they forwarded me to a "specialist", whatever that means. Still waiting... Can't do anything until they fix it.

hanggang ngayon pakiramdam ko random KYC update yung nangyari sakin.

It seems they caused some technical problems when they decided to go app only. Its no coincidence that a lot of people are being asked for KYC at the same time.

Not a bad marketing approach from the XFL, to catch NFL fans that are coping with severe withdrawal symptoms.

The XFL in comparison though is like being out of choice weed so you scrape the resin off the inside of a pipe you forgot about and smoke it hoping to catch any kind of buzz.

It is a known phenomenon that some people, especially gamblers, are more prone to thoughts of suicide after the season ends.

^^^

Something a bit more directly on-topic is a new Counterparty series named Rare Ordinals.

The idea is tokenization of an Ordinal via Counterparty.

The owner of the Ordinal-minting address creates a 1 of 1 divisible token that represents "shares" of the Ordinal. I think its a pretty clever way to combine both platforms.

This is the first one of Series 1:

Here is its entry on an Ordinals explorer:

Here is its entry on a Counterparty explorer:

A bunch of them have been made already, including the first gif, which was minted just today. Pretty cool stuff.

BTC conversions are now disabled... I've never seen that before :/

Their system status page is totally offline as well.

This is my last response to the matter as its getting pretty boring.

may

This is the crux of your argument, that a bunch of things "may" happen in Craig's favor, however unlikely. This has been his marketing approach for years and not once has it ever worked out for him or for BSV. No reason to believe it will this time.

Therefore, I personally don't think anybody needs to do anything, except for Craig, who needs to continue convincing his money men they didn't make a terrible investment (spoiler alert: they did).

Pro tip: don't write consecutive posts in a row. It looks like you're just trying to bump the topic to the top of the board and your posts might get deleted. Instead, if you have a new thought, just append it to your last post if nobody responded to it.
2038  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Craig Wright's Latest Escapade -- Give me the bitcoins I stole from Mt. Gox! on: February 05, 2023, 01:22:46 PM

You cut out a couple hundred words between the paragraph you quoted and the judges saying "I agree."

They are not agreeing to the line of thinking you quoted, they are agreeing with the conclusion, which says this:

"The conclusion is not that there is a fiduciary duty in law in the circumstances alleged by Tulip, only that the case advanced raises a serious issue to be tried. The time to decide on the duty in this case is once the facts are established...

If the decentralised governance of bitcoin really is a myth, then in my judgment there is much to be said for the submission that bitcoin developers, while acting as developers, owe fiduciary duties to the true owners of that property."

The only thing being agreed upon is that Tulip Trust deserves an appeal because there are legal uncertainties that have yet to be fleshed out.

Your claim about property law commanding bitcoin devs to modify their software isn't based in any sort of tangible reality that currently exists today. It is based on wishful thinking that everything will unfold the way you believe it will.

Part of this also includes Craig proving to the court that he is the real owner of the 1Feex... coins, which he cannot possibly do.

2040  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Craig Wright's Latest Escapade -- Give me the bitcoins I stole from Mt. Gox! on: February 05, 2023, 12:35:59 PM
It doesn't matter what hasn't worked before. The court is allowing the case to proceed because three judges agreed that Wright has a significant chance of winning.

No, that is not what was said at all. They're saying it is worth discussing the idea that cryptocurrency developers should bear some sort of fiduciary responsibility to their investors/users. And what jurisdiction does this actually apply to even if the answer was "yes, they do"?

There have certainly been a lot of lies involved. Wright's whole story about getting hacked is obviously a lie. But it's a lie that allows him to bring this case.

Never a great basis to hang one's hat on during a legal proceeding  Cheesy

But at least you can recognize it was lie.
