2021  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: October 08, 2022, 02:18:58 PM
I avoid betting on matches that are open to surprise results and the matches of the team I support. Arsenal v Liverpool will be a derby-quality match. It is very difficult to predict the outcome in such matches. Liverpool have had a very poor performance lately. But I wouldn't be surprised if they win this match. I think your predictions for Everton - Manchester, Tottenham - Brighton matches are good predictions. But we may encounter other surprising results in these matches. Today I will bet on Chelsea's win. It has 1.48 odds. I think it's worth a try. Because today I can't see a better match.

I think the predictions were judge base on the season's performance, it is all there written in his conclusion. I know for a fact that Arsenal isn't a match for Liverpool but I'm kind of thrilled by Arsenal's short-term performance, not just in EPL, but in other leagues and the way they are blowing hot, they might take Liverpool by horns and do a little surprised party in Emirate stadium.
Wolves are experiencing their worst time I think but with the way they have loss and drawn back to back, it will be so much easier for Chelsea to do their thing, doing virtual bets with the odd isn't too late think.
2022  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When You Heard About Bitcoin For the First Time? on: October 07, 2022, 07:10:28 AM
I know guys it's silly question but I was wondering that wether how people got in to bot oinnand other cryptocurrency.
My case is that in 2017 I heard in news that Bitcoin that is a digital cryptocurrency Crossed real gold for the First time. At that time it's price was above 1000 dollars. And that git me interested and I want to know more about crypto and now I am here and I making post 😁

There is nothing wrong with the question, it makes me think of how eager I was to learn about bitcoin at the time. I was influenced by friends' frequent discussion of it at the time, and I was envious because I rarely have anything to add when they are talking. However, today, my own research has turned into something useful for this forum and myself, I have learned things about bitcoin here that my friends don't even know half of. Bitcoin is the best, and I can't even talk about the technical and development discussion knowledge I've gained.
2023  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why reveal my identity to get bitcoins ? on: October 07, 2022, 05:35:44 AM
Why reveal my identity to get bitcoins if previously it was not so? it seems that now having bitcoin is associated with identity, and that looks unfortunate. I tried to buy with credit card in pages that promise not to ask for your personal data but it was not so.

How can I see the funds I have in a paper wallet created in bitaddress ? I have my public and private code, how can I see the funds or how does it work ?

You will get your bitcoin complicated in this manner, if you have the money to buy bitcoin, I will advise you to also buy a hardware wallet to your own advantage and I can tell you that it is safe if you keep your seed phrase in a safe place.
Now back to identity and bitcoin, you can use p2p or your local vendor to buy bitcoin, don't use your credit cards on centralized platforms because they will keep your transaction details in their database including ATMs.
Some of the Bitcoin P2p you can use that don't require KYC and their websites are:
[1] Bisq client ===> https://bisq.network/
[2] HodlHodl ===>https://hodlhodl.com/
2024  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Give me a minute of your time on: October 07, 2022, 04:50:46 AM
With the way companies are going bankrupt this days I think I should warn my fellow Bitcointalk friends, give me a minute of your time.

Forget about how big a crypto exchange have grown, do not leave your coins on exchange, we can never tell which exchange will go down unexpectedly in this bear market.

I have some USDT that I plan to use to buy coins probably when BTC is down to 10k which I believed would happened in September but it never did so I moved the USDT out of the exchange back into my wallet.

Do not relent, do not trust any exchange, trust only your private keys, remember, not your keys, not your coins.

Either with Bankruptcy or not, the idea of leaving your coins on an exchange is never a good one, we all should have learned from Celcius, they are still battling on how to open back the platform so that people can have access to liquidity but it seems it is not only the users that are finding a way to exit liquidity, the venture capitals are now on the bench waiting as well and a result, the SEC has put in their interest in investigating everyone involve in Celcius.
There are so many things that can happen to an exchange, they can get hacked, they can get sued and locked for anytime God knows depending on the duration of the investigation and not only that, exchanges can deny you access to your own money if they found out you violet their terms and conditions, remember not your keys, not your coins.
2025  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Let’s keep our eyes on scammers logics on: October 06, 2022, 09:03:39 PM
You see, the idea of scammers and their victims is nothing more than taking advantage of ignorance. Even if you are literate and well-informed about everything, a fraudster could be able to use your lack of knowledge of one or two important facts against you. People are unfamiliar with cryptocurrency, so scammers target those who can't tell A from B. It could also be the result of greed, but if you know that A is better than B, you'll naturally find a way to curb your greed.

What about scamming the scammers? Cheesy

There is an amazing tool called BEEF, you can setup your environment, make the web page public and send it you the scammer.
You have full control over that webpage for JavaScript commands, so you can scare the **** out of scammer like telling them you got their IP (you can do it with this tool) and telling them that they are reported to the police.
I do this to all scammers, and they delete every message they have sent to me Cheesy

As I have said, it is all about ignorance. If you can scare a scammer away by command of a script, then he is not informed about your tactics else he will find a way to manipulate you further to scam you. Information is the key for a scammer.

Quote
Other way:
there are those smart contract wallets where there are 1000's of dollars, but no ETH for the fee. You voluntarily give seed phrase to the scammer, and when they send ETH for the transaction fee, that ETH gets redirected to void or your wallet.

A scammer can code you a smart contract and give you a seed phrase to his coins, and you won't be able to do anything with his wallets. They can give you a wallet that contains ETH or BNB or any EVM compatible, and as soon as you deposit or try to swap, it will redirect all your balance into another wallet because you will ask to authorise the transaction, and what happens in the background is not displayed, just a warning to proceed with a transaction.
2026  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bear Market More Important Than the Bull Market? on: October 06, 2022, 03:45:47 PM
Hello bitcointalkers, I was wondering that When Bitcoin Evolved almost in 2009 when it was in cents and still it is only 13 years old, not even even adult if we compare it to the Human life etc. I know it sounds funny.
Also if we compare this to the Stock market, If I am gone wrong that might be at least 400 to 500 years old and still Woprd economy is around us..
So my point was that Bitcoin is evolving day by day with many bull and bear seasons, I want to say that Bitcoin first Bull market was almost in 2013 when it touched only 100 dollars and that was just big milestone and now Bitcoin is trading per second in only 100 dollars and that is just timing things.

What is it that we are trying to say here? Bitcoin began its bull run in 2013, and that was when it began to gain attention, and it broke $1k by flash and not $100, but after that, the price crashed because there was little liquidity around bitcoin at the time, and we only had a few exchanges where bitcoin was trading. Comparing its development now to that time, I will say it has come a long way, but as you said, timing is everything.

Quote
So I am going to my main point and that is Bitcoin hit almost 70k dollars and that was just big and bigger milestone and currently it is just trading above 18k dollars. And in my opinion that is currently going in Bear Market. And that bear market will turn till Next halving and that might be in 2024 as per block data. So I was wondering that wether this bear market will be helpful for new people or not. Cause many people thoughts are different than old people in crypto. So I am preparing myself in Bear market so that I might be able to stand in next bull run that might be the biggest bull run for Bitcoin and that might be just all time high to almost 200k dollars as compared to 2021 Data.

I'm going to assume that you're saying that now is the ideal moment for people who haven't tried bitcoin to try and buy since the price is low, but your writing style will deter a lot of the readers you're trying to reach with your message. Speculate and anticipate positive outcomes so that people will be interested and, regardless of what happens, they won't only look at the price alone but also be fascinated by the bitcoin ecosystem. If you put price first for people, they will get bored easily. We will definitely see another bull run, but it is not a guarantee that we will see $200k.

I am writing this article so that big bitcointalk members that are since 2015 and have very very god knowledge in cryptocurrency and can advise me and many other people that are new.

2027  Economy / Economics / Re: Currencies are Collapsing Everywhere. on: October 05, 2022, 11:04:05 PM
Inflation is very bad and I think most countries are experiencing their worst cases that has happened before 20 years ago which I hope should have all by now recovering but we all know there is a war ongoing that the other parts of countries have neglected, the FED is also part of the whole stuffs but politics aside, Russian currency has been getting some values over US, that will be at advantage for them to pay back their debt as if they stole it from them.

I think after this global recession, I’m very certain that country like mine will want to remove a certain currency out of the circulation, because those kind of currencies wouldn’t be able to buy anything again in the country.
2028  Economy / Economics / Re: Reasons you will remain broke as an adult on: October 05, 2022, 10:50:42 PM
You took the points and expressed what you feel, nice one!
I am interested in that skill and reckless spending, the way the world is revolving today is quite different from how it was during the 80s and 90s when internet hasn’t been to public and exposed people but now that we are now in digital age, things are transforming very rapidly, hence having a digital skills should be a prerequisite for everyone, it saves you even when the traditional education system hasn’t bring anything on the table, the skill will help you while looking for the dream job and sometimes, skills becomes the main job if you find passion in it.

Reckless spending is another problem that do stop some people from saving investing, they prefer to lavish their small change on things that they don’t need but on wants, they spend without plan and whenever a man fail to plan, they most often than not do fail at the end.
2029  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Privacy should be fought for on: October 05, 2022, 10:34:50 PM
The fact this isn't talked about much even more so after Canada froze bank accounts watching people tx bitcoin and ETH addresses tied to other ETH addresses are being black listed / banned is really bad..

BTC will fail or much much much worse become the money of enslavement if privacy is not added.. Unbreakable privacy..

There may still be some bitcoin wallet addresses that are incorrectly blacklisted from that protocol even though they have never transferred bitcoin to an exchange and their owners are unidentified. They might not have done anything wrong, but the fact that they are unknown indicates that they maintained their privacy to a degree that prevented anyone from tracing them. What exactly am I saying? What are some users trying to accomplish when they transfer mixed bitcoin to centralized exchanges where they are verified and claim to need privacy?
Avoiding centralized exchange is the first step in preserving privacy because that is where government trained security agents first threaten to obtain user information prior before arresting them.

Bitcoin isn't a very secretive private network, but no matter how hard they try, the satoshi path will continue until it is completely unreliant on anyone.

Privacy is a must.
2030  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 2024 Bitcoin Halving - What are Your Expectations!!! on: October 05, 2022, 10:14:12 PM
Isn't this a little out of the discussion at this time? We are almost two years into the next halving, and depending on how new blocks are discovered, it may take a little less time or may take longer than the number of days you indicated.

There will be a price recovery of about $50k to $60k before the halving, and there will be a shake everywhere. Then, two days before the halving, some traders and speculators would sell the news, as they won't wait until that event day because they would want to outsmart others and after that, the miners will take over the market and move it to a new all-time high.
Expect to see more organizations and countries adopt bitcoin during this new bull run, and I sincerely hope that industry heavyweights like Elon Musk won't return to bitcoin, his presence in bitcoin has done more harm to bitcoin price.
2031  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The irony of leaving your private keys in a bank on: October 05, 2022, 03:30:49 PM
Does anyone use a bank safe service to leave your trezor or whatever you use in there? I have been considering which would be the ways in which one could leave physical backups somewhere else than your own home. If you don't trust anyone to do a good job in keeping the device safe, the only way I see is that you either own 2 homes, which I don't, or that you hire a service in a bank where you can leave the stuff in there. Im assuming there's good security, and no one could realistically get in there, at least in any developed country. The only way would be that an employee is dumb enough to attempt a heist from inside but that's also unlikely.

Could you explain your experience doing this and what to considering when hiring such a service?

The first reason bitcoin exists is the concept of seeking out a trustworthy person. According to Satoshi's original white paper[1] from the abstract overview of bitcoin, bitcoin is a decentralized peer-to-peer digital currency that you can use without depending on anyone. Therefore, bringing your bitcoin to the bank for security is equivalent to destroying what bitcoin is in the first place.

You may have other valuable goods to the banks, which is why they were created, but Trezor should be in your own care and your seed phrase or recovery phrase should be punched on a metal plate and stored in a different safe place, that's the best measure that experts have recommended and so far, no one has complained about that measure except you didn't do it as instructed.

Let me add to what has already been said: the banks you see are very self-centred, opportunistic, and always want to take from what they don't sow. If they announced that they have an emergency and fire outbreak in the banks, you will have to deal with loss or max get compensated, there could also be a heist and if your property is taken, you will have to deal with the losses with them. God forbid, if you happen to have a bitcoin that you bought in 2010 and lose it at this current price would hunt you for the rest of your life. Avoid banks, that is my 4 cents.

Through July 2022, American gaming revenue hit $34.3 billion, a 15.5 percent rise from the same period in 2021, according to the American Gaming Association.
It can be a small minded thing to think that the only way to benefit from casinos and sports betting places is to gamble there. Investing in casinos and sports betting can be a profitable deal for you if you invest and buy good stock from worthy casinos.

You just said 15.5% rise in 1yr, when Bitcoin is getting this value in 24hrs, isn't that amazing? Because to me Bitcoin remains the best option for long-term investment. But in as much as you just said that investing in stock from worthy casinos could be another way of generating revenue but I'm sure they can never be as lucrative as gambling whereby with just $100 or below, you can stand the chance of winning over $1million in few hours or lose your entire funds, which has its advantage and disadvantages. Likewise investing in stocks from casinos that can easily be affected faster by market inflation (recession)

Look again, the 15.5% rise is in billions, I don't think those are small money you will consider not good enough as an investment, bitcoin may be another key investment but both are two different things, if Bitcoin is the only way for you, that's fine but companies now diversify their investment strategically in a way they share them in a ratio which we have seen MicroStrategy have all adopted.
Buying a stock of a casino is different from playing in the casino itself and judging from what OP said above, you get some advantages over other players and perhaps dividends in return for investing in their stocks.  Also, I don't think there is any casino you could just use $100 to win $1 million, this is possible but they are rare my friend.

"Just one more game" is a phrase we often say and it makes us not realize that it is the beginning of our next defeat. One more game will make us even more curious, especially if the results are not what we expected and can make us come back the next day. Whatever result we get, if we still say that sentence, I don't think it will always work for us and maybe the result will be very different. Therefore, if we want to stop, we must be able to try to stop immediately and not say the sentence.
When a gambler spends more time in gambling from a certain time frame, gambling addiction is seen in him to some extent. And this kind of incident is seen frequently in almost all gamblers to a lesser or greater extent. However, spending a lot of time in gambling is not bring what you have expect. So ignoring all these things gambling can bring the big success.

Anything in "excess" always have a negative impact, it is every gambler's responsibility to handle the manner in which they played but I'm curious to ask, from your comment, what do you have to say when a player has more wins than the number of losses and the player decided to spend more of it is time than the expected time, will that be considered as addiction?
You know the nature of gamblers and greed is what drives our hormones, if the games are in their favour, they will likely play more than the time they set for them self but the wise ones will exit as soon as they hit 3 losses in a row but the addicted ones don't usually stop until they blow up what they have all won to the house.
2034  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: October 04, 2022, 09:32:15 AM

I think, Bayern Munich are still in a good position to embrace this season title because their coach is seriously working to ensure the team will not experience any defeat from any team to improve their points. Since Bayern Munich strikers and midfielders are very ready to work together to keep the winning going, showed that they will definitely achieve victory from their remaining matches to prepare the minds of their fans that they have what it takes to win this title. I think, union Berlin coach need to work on their defense before their next match because they didn't act well in this match that made Frankfurt to defeated them 2-0.
The end justifies the means when it comes to Bayern Munich, the best in Bundesliga. Because Bayern Munich knows that they are still winning the league, they are in a better position. It won't take them long to put them back on top where they belong. Soon, they will take back their rightful place at the top. While Union Berlin has a good position for now, there is still a lot of work to do to save it.

Bayern Munich hasn't trailed the leader on the table for the past five years, but Lewandoski's departure has had some aftereffects that I wasn't expecting. I was hoping Mane as a new player could work some miracles, but their performance isn't quite as seamless as it once was. Although Bayern's goal differences show they are still in good form, but we know winning a league requires more than that, the point counts, but maybe soon they will move up to first. I had anticipated them to have a significant point gap from Freiburg and Union Berlin or other teams that may want to finish in the top four.
2035  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: New Gambling Site has a Short Signature Campaign on: October 04, 2022, 08:46:51 AM
As a participant, I don't understand if the arguments are necessary, but I think casino marketing on the forum can last depending on several conditions. It could be money, it could be that their expectations were high and the result wasn't appealing to them, or they could change their marketing strategy because, as I've observed, some casinos don't only advertise here on the forum, they have other places they advertise just to get more users into their platforms

Bitcoinchair.com for example do advertise casino on their explorer and I have seen Roobet several times, even 1xbit(scam) and the same Fairspin people are debating is still right there advertising as you can see from the image below.

As you can see in the image below,Bitcoinchair.com, for instance, does advertise casinos on their explorer. I have seen Roobet multiple times as well as 1xbit (a fraud) and the same Fairspin users are arguing.

So, as I have stated, it is their choice whether to continue or not, but gambling will always exist regardless of the crypto market, it is the users who are no longer earning much from crypto and have all come to signature hunting, which is now diluted with many people, limited campaigns, and plenty applications.
2036  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: October 04, 2022, 08:16:37 AM
Maddison is the man of the match with two incredible goals and assists. His performance weigh down their opponents in the king power stadium, and the fans are cheering for their first win of the season, not an easy one for the Foxes boss, Brendan Rodgers glad that his team are gradually getting back to their form after a long waited winning points. For the victims, Nottingham Forest looks to be heading back the championship and Jesse Lingard failed to make a good impact in the game after Nottingham failed to net a single goal with throwing away several scoring chances.

There is nothing that differentiates the performance of Leicester City from Nottingham Forest, they are just neighbours around the table who have conceded 6 goals from different teams, drawn one, and won one. They still have a long way to go before they can escape the relegation zone, and with the way the league heating up and approaching the halfway point, things are getting tough from all angles.
Leicester City didn't sign any players before the start of the season, which may be why they have had difficulties, but if they can maintain up this way until January, Brendan should make a transfer request for new players during that window.
2037  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Woman Abandons 4-year-old Child In Gambling Shop As Collateral After Huge Losses on: October 03, 2022, 06:38:29 PM
Yes women don’t gamble as much as men which makes me wonder what desperate condition the lady must have found herself in. Like I said before, I don’t believe this is case of addiction. Unwanted babies are dropped at orphanages and doorsteps of churches everyday all over the world. There is still a lot of information missing from the story, where’s the father? Why has no one come to claim the child? Is the bet shop demanding for their money before releasing the child to his/her guardians.

Some mothers can be careless but there is something that is not adding up to the story, as the efforts to reach the police for more information were not successful but my intuitions tell me that the woman is not the real mother, it is possible that she was caught on debt and used another person child as the bait just to escape the hot situation. I mean, why would a mother go to a lotto to gamble and only for her to abandon her child as collateral, it is either the lady is having a mental disorder or some memory loss to have forgotten the child till evening in the hands of people who could have done whatever they want to the child especially now with the level of insecurity in the country.

Ban is not a barrier for gamblers to go to an extent in doing things both in the legal and illegal ways, they never mind regretting some steps after taking the actions, but government uas it power to exercise authority in implementing policies to gambling ethics, many have face the law because of violation of the rules surrounding it.

I can't say for sure if you are contradicting or in support but I know that a ban is something that is illegal, it never was supposed to exist and if found with anyone will be brought to justice, so if a circular has been passed around that gambling is prohibited, both the player and the casino has to stop with immediate effect, if at all it is a physical casino, it will be shut down and you will never see anyone in that surrounding, the same thing applicable to online casino, if its a very strict country, they will go to any length to work with Internet providers to block any incoming IP address that is trying to connect because they are the who controls the internet network.
A limitation is another thing, and most often than not, the age is what the government use as a requirement to reduce abuse in gambling, you will see most of the time 18+ as a requirement in most casino before a player can play.

Quote
Past are the days when casinos only exist in physical locations across every region, but thanks to development of technology that has served us well with online ones, with this no amount of government restriction could deter gamblers from enjoying the sweetness in this opportunity because we have no KYC casinos that can maintain your privacy with them.

The moment you signed up to any casino, know that you have already broken your privacy, you don't have much to protect but you can minimize it to some extent with a VPN, if they don't require KYC, you can preserve your privacy with it and we do have casino Blackjack.fun as an example who don't request KYC unless they observe a player has been cheating.

I don't know why the coach of Manchester United is not playing Cristiano Ronaldo. Casemiro is one of the best midfielders at this time. He is also in the bench. What kind of strategies is following by this coach? It is not good for Manchester United to make lineup without Casemiro and Ronaldo.

Whatever the reason, the damage has already been done, and I still believe that Manchester United is not as good as they were during the Red Devils era. Whether Ronaldo was playing or not, Manchester City had them by the neck the entire match, luckily, Antony gave them some confidence until Martial was substituted and added a goal with an additional Pk, but that didn't change the 3 points Manchester City had already earned. I can bet they'll be coming to the Old Stamford Bridge with the same level of vigour they showed today. Another Derby to watch, but this one wouldn't surprise me a bit if Manchester United lose again.

Your table appears disorganized and unattractive; you can use the forum table BBCode to arrange the table's rows and columns so that the company name, market capitalization, and description are simpler to read.

These companies are big indeed, having those markets caps are actually mind blowing but instead of making hypes on their stocks, why don't we do something like them, we have some casino that has their own tokens, Like owl for example is another type of casino with its own token. It is better to invest in small startups than go after these big guys that dominate all of the shares to them selfs, you will only be getting a penny as dividends by end of the year.
