2021  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Stake.com Ghostnipple: Identity Theft and IP Theft on: December 10, 2022, 09:51:08 AM
Well, about a Week ago I started a thread there to determine if people want these Bonus drops with a sucky RTP or if they just want a normal RTP on original games without the "feeding" mode turned on..... and it was deleted. (I started a Poll on Strawpoll to see what people want)

Now, it can be one of two things....

1. They did not want people to know that "feeding" mode is turned on during Bonus drops. (Which is perfectly legal, as long as you show the correct RTP being used)

or

2. They do not agree with me that "feeding" mode is turned on during Bonus Drops. (I base my observation on tests that has been done by myself and 50+ of my friends that help me test this... we discuss this in our own WhatsApp Stake Group)

I think it would have been better, if a Mod just replied to the thread and then denied that the RTP are altered during Bonus drop periods. (They could then just closed the thread)  Huh

In any way.... my experience with Stake has been very good, so things like this does not influence me to not play there. They do a lot other things correctly, so I forgive them...  Tongue

I'm a long term supporter of stake, however I draw a very clear line between the current individuals who are temporary and make up the ever changing management team,  and Stake itself which is essentially the players.

So what is feeding mode? it's when the casino eats players coin?

"Feeding" mode is just a theory at this stage. We suspect that the RTP of the original games are slightly altered before or after money are spend by the Stake marketing team to fund these promotions. (So they UP it a little bit to take back the funds they spend)

Now, this is not just done by Stake, because we find this at other casinos with original games too... so I guess this is a "balancing" of the books by the casinos.

Let's make this clear.... casinos are free to do this, but they cannot say they have a fixed House Edge of 1.00% (displayed by the site) but they continuously change that without altering the displayed house edge and showing it to the players.

2023  Economy / Gambling / Re: A way to attract new users or a misunderstanding? on: December 10, 2022, 09:06:16 AM
Web3 holds the promise of allowing people to own things digitally, easily transact online, and have more control of their personal data. Blockchain and crypto ecosystems already have working products for Web3. For example, users can make peer-to-peer (P2P) payments and collect digital items with crypto wallets. Source : https://academy.binance.com/en/articles/what-s-the-relationship-between-blockchain-and-web3

I think the casino industry are trying to define their own version of Web3 to make a distinction between the KYC and non-KYC casinos as a type of branding and marketing gimmick.  Roll Eyes   Undecided
2024  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2022-10-07] Visa partners with FTX on: December 10, 2022, 08:58:01 AM

There are people who think that crypto is only meant to be spent in a bull market? Huh

If that's their mindset then I don't know what they are going to do once the price stabilizes about 100 years later. But then again, their grandkids won't be thinking like that.

It has barely been a month now and this has already aged well.

The rest of this thread, less so. @NeuroticFish was right  Embarrassed

Visa probably sh*t itself over FTX's bankruptcy filing.

https://decrypt.co/114367/visa-pulls-plug-ftx-partnership-will-wind-down-debit-cards

"Payments giant Visa is reportedly shuttering its partnership with FTX following the latter’s bankruptcy filing last week." .... So this was so convenient for Binance ... their biggest competition. It explains why Binance pulled their financial support on the 11th hour to sink their competition and to stop this partnership with VISA.  Roll Eyes

What do you think?

Sinking it's competition was the goal? I'm afraid they haven't accomplished that yet, because next in line, we have Coinbase, Robinhood, KuCoin, Bybit, Huobi, and Kraken all of which Binance would have to sink as well.

Well, the only way to eat an elephant... is to take it piece by piece ....right.  Wink They have found a new way to f#$k the smaller Exchanges, much like the hostile takeovers that are done by Corporate giants.

I predict that we might see a lot more of these moves being done by the larger fish. (rug pull)  Roll Eyes

In any way.... this thread can be closed.... this news is old and outdated now.  Wink
2025  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are the Whales Control bitcoin price? on: December 10, 2022, 08:48:15 AM
Well, this is a debate with no certain answer... because only a few people can answer that. If you had the trading information of all the Exchanges and you can link the personal information with the bitcoins that are traded, then you will be able to give a correct answer.

Most regulated Exchanges have that information, but they do not divulge that personal information to the public. The average price are determined by the trading price on bigger Exchanges, where these Whales are playing.  Roll Eyes

To be honest nobody expected Japan to beat Spain and Germany neither, nor expected their game to go to penalties against Croatia, nor Saudi Arabia to beat Argentina, and a few others I am probably forgetting about. This tournament has been filled with unexpected games and we shouldn't really be shocked for another one. This one wasn't even that shocking, everyone assumed Portugal would win, they just didn't know they would win with 6 goals, the only shocking part was the goal count, to the win so that is even easier to guess than the other games because winner is at least expected team.

There are just too many upsets in this Soccer World Cup to be an coincidence.  Huh The opening game of the 2022 Qatar World Cup started under a cloud of controversy after allegations of match-fixing. It was rumored that Ecuador players were paid to throw the match..  Roll Eyes  https://www.timeslive.co.za/sport/soccer/2022-11-18-r128m-bribe-rocks-world-cup-opener-heres-what-fifa-is-reportedly-doing-to-fight-match-fixing/  ==> "...the host nation had “bribed eight Ecuadorian players with $7.4m (about R128m) to lose the opener”

So how many of these other countries were bribed to do the same thing? I stopped all Sports bets after the Japan and Spain defeat.. because I smell something fishy.  Roll Eyes

2028  Economy / Economics / Re: From grace to grass:Reasons why a Well to do investor turned a nobody. on: December 09, 2022, 06:04:20 AM
The biggest mistake that most people do is this :

They scale up their living conditions and assets with the increase in their income. So to explain this....

When you earned say $10 000 per month, you bought a small car and your payment was small and you also bought a small house and your bond payments matched your income.  Wink

Now, you get a good increase and you buy a more expensive car and a bigger house. So a more expensive car, come with higher insurance and a bigger house have more maintenance and before you know it.... you are maxed out again.

Then the economy take a knock (Like Covid & War) and governments increase interest rates to protect themselves.... and your car payment increase and also your bond payments. So, before you know it, you cannot afford the car anymore and the bond payments on the house is to big.... so you have to sell it.  Roll Eyes

Tip : Do not compete with the Jones's ..... buy a good second hand car and a smaller house .... and stay healthy.  Grin
2029  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - 🦉 Drake, UFC, Everton Main Partner ⚽ 🥊 on: December 09, 2022, 05:43:51 AM
Well, they also need Level 2 verification and they have to wager $3000 in the last 7 days to be eligible for the rains. This is not stopping a lot of the expert rain farmers, because they buy fake IDs and they have money to fund the $3000 weekly wager requirement. (They also have bots running for the Bonus drops... and we see a significant increase in those bots, since the 25Day of Christmas drops have started)

I have to give it to the Stake marketing team, they have changed strategies several times with these Christmas bonus drops to counter the bots, but most of these drops are fully claimed within a few minutes.  Roll Eyes

Since today the bot is unable to work on claiming the code, because the marketing team uses question to find the drop code
For example on the last drop ''The code for this drop is the team that knocked out Spain in the round of 16?"
the answer is Morocco then ''Morocco'' is the drop code I think bots will have no way to get code.

I doubt that anything will be effective against these bots, because people are posting codes everywhere, even in the Stake chat. I have to say the mods in the chat are very quick to mute the people that are posting the codes, but I think these bot owners are working together and they are using Alt accounts to post the codes.  Roll Eyes

I do not see the need...why the codes are being posted in the chat, because there are several other communication methods to do this. (I can tell you that it is getting harder to solve these questions - Google had to help me ...  Grin)

Ps.... Are you guys also getting the "refresh" error... whilst you are wagering... because it stops everything and force you to refresh the page.  Angry Angry
2030  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Banks do not want bitcoin to become popular on: December 09, 2022, 05:34:36 AM
Since when do we worry about what Banks predict for Bitcoin's future? The Banks are threatened by Bitcoin, because Bitcoin is eating away it's market dominance, when it comes to financial matters. People see that it is cheaper and faster to use Bitcoin and Banks do not like that, because they milk people with high transaction fees and they control people's wealth. (Blocking accounts / Blocking transactions and feeding financial information to governments)

We as a Bitcoin community ignore these statements, because we know why it is made.... and we rather focus on Bitcoin adoption and improving the technology.  Wink
2031  Economy / Gambling / Re: The launch of LuckyRoo Casino on: December 08, 2022, 06:40:32 AM
I am confused.... The title of this thread says ==> " The launch of LuckyRoo Casino " but the way the opening post is structured, it looks like OP is writing a review of the site and he is not affiliated with the site?

Looking at his username, it looks like he is marketing for "NewCryptoCasinos.com" as a reviewer of casinos, so this is not a thread of the opening of a new casino, but rather just a review of the site?

In any way...  OP has not responded to any posts in his thread... so he might just be using this forum to promote casinos that are hosted on their review site.  Roll Eyes
2032  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gates of olympus on: December 08, 2022, 06:10:08 AM
Yes, I think one of the reasons why "Gates of Olympus" or more commonly called, "Gates" are so popular... might be because most well known Streamers have been playing it on a regular basis. Do not underestimate the influence of those well-known streamers, because Streamers are watched by 1000's of players and most of the Streamers are paid to play those slots.

The Streamers budget are big enough to continue playing until they hit a massive win on these slots and then people watching it, think they can do the same with their small budget.  Roll Eyes

I know "Gates" are also one of Eddie's (Stake.com co-owner) favorite slots and I can almost hear him saying..." Lift that f#@$%ken arm Zeus! during his streaming sessions on Saturdays.  Grin Grin Grin
2033  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - 🦉 Drake, UFC, Everton Main Partner ⚽ 🥊 on: December 08, 2022, 05:51:57 AM
From my personal experience, i think first, you need to be able to chat before you can qualify for the airdrop, and to able to chat, you need to wager a minimum of $500.
I believe that one's you are able to participate in the chat, you can get airdrop if you are lucky to find someone willing to airdrop you some coins, this is just my assumptions though, for all i know, I might be wrong, so I am open and will gladly accept corrections..
I've not read anywhere where it was stated that a gambler will have to achieve a certain VIP level before they can benefit from the in-chat airdrops.
Yep, leveling up is the requirement for chatting in most places to reduce spam by people who are in it for "rain".  And $500 is a high enough limit to weed out scammers and bots from the chat. And with exclusive chat you can be sure that you are chatting with real gamblers, not faucet abusers etc. In theory it should rise the level of conversation.

Not that all big players would write somehow more quality content, but at least they are real and have same hobby as a gambler.

Well, they also need Level 2 verification and they have to wager $3000 in the last 7 days to be eligible for the rains. 2034  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin Destroy Crap Altcoins? on: December 08, 2022, 05:41:05 AM
OP, the goal of Bitcoin is not to crush the Alt coins, but rather to learn from them and then to apply improvements to it's own code. Satoshi anticipated that the Bitcoin "protocol" would be copied and he had no problem with that, because he knew his protocol would stand the test of time, if competitors tried to dethrone it as the King of tokens.

The Bitcoin protocol is a piece of code, so if some Alt coin come up with a better function... Bitcoin can cannibalize that and it can be coded into the Bitcoin  protocol. (Alt coins can copy the Bitcoin code and Bitcoin can copy their code.... but will the majority of the Full node run that code..... now that is the question)  Roll Eyes

Also, Bitcoin's main strengths are it's huge merchant network that accept Bitcoin and also the massive amount of hashing power that are backing it for security against attacks.  Wink
2035  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would Bitcoin no longer be Bitcoin if it were adopted by everyone in the world ? on: December 08, 2022, 05:27:35 AM
No, OP.....

Bitcoin stability does not mean that the price or value of the coins will go down, it just mean that the price will have much less price volatility. (Less high spikes and large dumps)

Let's take a look at Fiat currencies as an example.... the price stay more or less the same and it only fluctuate a little. (This is manipulated by governments)

In reality, price stability will increase the Bitcoin price... because higher adoption will increase the demand for the token. (Merchants and retailers want price stability, so more of them will start to accept Bitcoin as a currency and more people will start to use it as a currency, because they can buy more things or pay for more services with Bitcoin.)
2036  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My concern of security when using casino houses. on: December 07, 2022, 07:30:06 AM
In the "Brick n Mortar" casinos in my area, you always get the offer to sleep in the adjacent hotel for the night, when you win something big. The security says, this is done to prevent people from following you out of the casino and robbing you, when they see you winning something big. (I think they do this, because they know you are going to spend more money at the Hotel or that you will return to the casino to gamble some more)  Roll Eyes

I never make a huge spectacle at the casino when I win something big.. to attract little attention to myself... and I always leave the casino in a large group. (Family and friends)  Wink  .....Always be Street smart... or you will become a victim.  Tongue

Well, correct me if I am wrong..... but for the fusion to take place, would they not have to burn a lot of oxygen too? (Fire needs oxygen to burn ...right?)

A better method would possibly be to just build a underground settlement with a small window to the stars and the Sun for solar power. That way, you have much less exposure to the cold and elements (corrosion) and you burn less oxygen.

I hope they will also create a Moon coin for a currency, because work that are done from home....can also be done from the Moon... and a Moon currency can compete with a Mars coin in the future.  Grin
2038  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2022-11-01] Grocery retailer Pick n Pay start accepting cryptocurrency payments on: December 07, 2022, 06:28:05 AM
We should just spread this strategy to more people and Bitcoin as a currency, will become more favorable. (You can convert Fiat to Bitcoin for those expenses that you can use Bitcoin..... for me that is my daily food budget)  Wink

Isn't that what I'm doing? But do you think that at least 10% of the members of this forum are interested in that, or that it makes any sense? The thing is that for years various influential people have been promoting Bitcoin as an investment, and they are telling us to make as few transactions as possible because we are harming the environment and that we will remain in the dark because Bitcoin will consume all the electricity...

How to fight against someone who has more followers on a social network than there are active Bitcoin users?

There is no need for those researchers at all, we can look at the blockchain and see the number of traction is going down, and if we look at the value of the coins right now over LN, the total capacity in $ is actually decreasing, not even mentioning that in the last month for the first time even the BTC value has gone down.

Such things are logical in a bear market, most of those who bought above $20k, not to mention those who bought at double or even three times the price, are now waiting for better times, having learned from past experiences. If anything has been certain so far, it is the bet on halving and its effects.

The thing is ... most of those Social media people are invested in whatever Crypto they are boosting, so they influence their followers to buy those Crypto, so that they can make a shitload of money. (Example : Elon Musk / Mc Afee / Roger Ver.....)

We cannot eliminate greedy people from our fight to promote Bitcoin as a Currency... and what makes things even more difficult for us, is when governments define Bitcoin as a Commodity.  Roll Eyes

The only thing that we can do, is to support retailers when they start accepting Bitcoin as a payment option. (Use the 80/20% strategy... so in this scenario.. if you usually paid for groceries at Pick n Pay with Fiat, just convert that Fiat to Bitcoin and pay with that)  Roll Eyes
2039  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are end-stage adopters going to be happy owning fractional amounts of bitcoin? on: December 07, 2022, 06:17:22 AM
I think a lot depends on the value of those Satoshis, because it will not be nice if those Satoshis are still valued at a fraction of a cent. We are hoping that the value of Bitcoin will increase over time and that the price will be less volatile, because we want people to use it as a Currency first and then as a Store of Value.  Wink

So, for this to happen.... we first have to make sure that there are a more even distribution of Satoshis between people and not a high concentration of bitcoins for Bitcoin Whales only.  Roll Eyes
2040  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - 🦉 Drake, UFC, Everton Main Partner ⚽ 🥊 on: December 07, 2022, 06:03:57 AM
So, we are getting several Bonus Drops for the 25 Days of Xmas promotion, but is this coming at a cost to many of us? I wager almost every day on Stake Original Games, so I get a good feel for what the normal RTP would look like. What I have noticed is this, whenever there are "reloads" or "Bonus Drops" ..... the RTP of these games are turned to what we call, Feeding mode.

So the theory is, when these promotions are running... Stake just tune the RTP for the original Games and it goes into feeding mode to get back the money that Stake paid out in these promotions.

This "feeding Mode" kills all attempts to wager, because it is almost double what it is normally. We have a team of about 55 players that are testing this and they confirm that they are experiencing the same thing. Now, this is in no way illegal to do this, because someone has to pay for these Bonus Drops, but is this counter productive?

Do the players want a good RTP for a nice gaming experience or do they want those Bonus Drops with a "Feeding" mode enabled?

Let's put this to a vote to see what they want ==> https://strawpoll.com/polls/6QnM7bxAaZe

Ps.. None of this can be proven, so this is just an observation of a small group of players that are playing on Stake and testing out some things. (We communicate via WhatsApp, because we all know each other as friends)  Wink
