2021  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Drake Wagered $1.3 million in super bowl bet using bitcoin on: February 16, 2022, 11:57:18 PM
No Drake did not use Bitcoin to place that $1.3 million bet, he used Canadian dollar instead. Check out the bet slip and i am surprised that no one is even checking the bet slip before making the comment about Drake using Bitcoin to place a million dollar bet.

Yes, he can deposit his fiat directly but you also have to understand that in Stake, you can change the value of your Crypto shown as Fiat for easy betting. We can't say he directly used Canadian $ here. If he's a crypto enthusiast, he can have more winnings if he places a bet in Bitcoin due to that large amount he deposited.

But it's not a big deal. Drake still used a service of a crypto-gambling platform.
Canadian dollar or Bitcoin/Crypto it doesnt matter because he is fully aware that he could really switch up from fiat to crypto but what matter most here is the consideration that
Drake had done which do really make out some good exposure in overall market about crypto existence or this site exist.
He had been betting something like this or kind of behavior either on crypto platforms or fiat ones.

You are right there, mate. Why did it become a special concern that Drake used instead a Canadian Dollar? Is that even an issue? The fact that he uses a crypto-gambling site means Bitcoin will be associated in a form of advertisement. As a bonus, since Stake was used, more people will be aware of that site.

Clears, it's a marketing but should not be a problem to anyone.

2023  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: February 14, 2022, 11:59:18 PM
casimero should not disappoint his fans as theyve been waiting for long time already. sorry to say this, but the style of rigo for me is indeed a disappointment to boxing fans. but he's not the only one. so am hoping butler will give him a good fight. if this will be an upset, don't know what's next for casimero...
He sure won't be disappointing us. Let's not just expect too much for him and just enjoy what's happening. The match hasn't happened yet and let's remove the negativity from this upcoming match. I know that we're just speculating the outcome of what-ifs but it's better to keep for now, IMHO.
I'm sure that whether this is upset, there will still be a lot of fights that are waiting for him.
I don't see an upset either, Butler is not a champion and he lose to Tete which fighter was beaten by Casimero. From any angle, I can see that Casimero is the better fighter and this fighter would not be able to have a chance to fight him if Inoue take the challenge before.

Butler also loses to Emmanuel Rodriguez via UD, so this boxing skills is not at par with Casimero.
Good analysis, I'm just remaining positive while the match hasn't happened yet. And those negative speculations won't be gone but if you're eyeing for Casimero, you should stay positive on what hasn't happened yet.
With that analysis of yours, that will be great to be seen by the others who have been already thinking about how he's going to be beaten.

Remaining positive is good but not enough just to show support. Casimero needs to show us that he is perfectly fit to fight in that match.

I like to remain positive too since I'm rooting for Casimero to win. Butler might be an underdog and has no chance to win as others said but I will not treat him as an easy opponent.

I like to see a sure win here by Casimero by showing dominance and not he will just win because of slight scores advantage.
2024  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: February 14, 2022, 11:59:12 PM
I thought BlackWater will now get their first win. I was a bit worried about it because I'm eyeing for them to be the best team that will improve their losing game record. Their import was good, they have a lead on that game, but still not enough to win.

They now have a record of a 25-losing game streak. A wonderful achievement and that record will be forever to them and no team will break that.

Go Blackwater! Keep it up.
2025  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: February 14, 2022, 11:58:39 PM
They have to and they really made an adjustment, however, they are still better defensively with Draymond Green. I expect some inconsistency from them until Draymond is back, their defense will be their make key problem, but that would be overshadowed by their good offense as they got Klay Thompson already who sometimes lead the team to win.

The presence of Draymond Green is really worthy to take note of. Warriors are not the usual Warriors if Draymond is out. He is the best advisor on their team and in fact, he's the one inspiring and gives a boost to their young players.

Once Draymond is back, not just the Warriors' offense but their defense will be more improved too. Good thing that there are Warriors players who are stepping up. Their team is regaining back again to their usual form.
2026  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto stuck in sports betting site, now they want KYC on: February 14, 2022, 11:53:35 PM
If they asked for it, do it.
If there are other things they asked, do it.
If there are other more things they asked more, do it.

That is if you only want to get that $1200 on your account.

Now if you don't want to undergo those hassle requirements, forget that site and move on.
2027  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: CrazyTime and Monopoly, should we trust? on: February 14, 2022, 11:51:49 PM
Since trusting them is a question, we just have to trust ourselves with our choices.

It's clear that there are lots of gamblers who patronized live casinos and there are also gamblers who are not.

If we are getting good profits or our winning success rate is high playing at live casinos like on the game stated by OP, then it's nothing wrong to continue playing on those live games.
2028  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Drake Wagered $1.3 million in super bowl bet using bitcoin on: February 14, 2022, 11:49:38 PM
I'm seeing this as a way to advertise the Stake platform itself and not the crypto in general. It's not new that Bitcoin or any other cryptos are now being used on gambling events such as this big Super Bowl event.

And looks like Drake even started this bitcoin betting even before but not just disclosing it in public like when the Toronto Raptors won an NBA Championship last 2019. The Raptors' odds to win on that series is worth to bet and I even won decently during that time.
2029  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Logan Paul vs Mike Tyson on: February 14, 2022, 11:46:42 PM
There's no need for them to wait for any further hype or counter offer. Mike seems to be a firm guy and if it has been said, it's been said and just as what his rep has said.

If this fight will happen, there's no need for any hype as Mike Tyson alone can make their PPV or ticket sales boosted.

But that will be unfair as Logan Paul won't have any contribution to that fight. It's easy money for him without a pure sweat and effort. Not unless Tyson will take 90% of the revenue they will gain lol.

It would be a lucky day for Logan Paul as he just needs to stay defensive on that fight the whole match. After that, a big money is waiting for him.
2030  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: GGG vs Murata - Reschedule on: February 14, 2022, 11:43:50 PM

Still this must be exasperating for someone like GGG that does not have time as his ally due to his age while at the same time all of this works on Murata’s favor.

Nah, I can't underestimate GGG even at his age now, he is still powerful and a strong fighter and I have a feeling that Murato would not last against GGG and still GGG will beat his opponent, probably by KO. I know that our opinion maybe different because we are bias, but for me, I will stick with my belief that GGG will dominate here and age is not his disadvantage.

I have the same view as you. Even GGG is now past his prime, we can say that his destructive power is still there. Murata is not even a threat to GGG's legacy and the only advantage that I can see for him is if the fight will still hold in his home country, Japan.

Murata's experience is also not that solid. He only has a few fights and not big ones to consider compared to the fight experience of GGG.

GGG will win this match. Not because of the name but the record will tell it all.

2031  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: CrazyTime and Monopoly, should we trust? on: February 13, 2022, 11:56:18 PM
That was a tough question if it's about putting our trust. I rarely bet on that type of game but I do before. I even think it was fair since even it's pre-recorded or I don't know the term to call it if I bet it right, I will win. But too much for speculation now as my conclusion now is, I won't play on those games from now.

Not saying I don't trust them but not comfortable risking money at live games.
2032  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: February 13, 2022, 11:53:31 PM
It's good for everyone that the rivalry between Durant and Harden is over Smiley

There's no rivalry but rather both players are just doing their job.

It's just that James Harden is the main scorer on his previous team that's why when being transferred to the Nets, he doesn't change his usual gameplay. Move forward now and let's see if James Harden will have a nice run in Philadelphia Sixers.

The same goes with Ben Simmons playing alongside Kevin Durant.

2033  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: February 13, 2022, 11:50:56 PM
Chances are high for Casimero to win against Butler, but he shouldn't take him lightly and not overlook Butler. And when he his then it's the time to call out Inoue again and see how Inoue will respond from Casimero's trash talking. Most likely it can be setup by Arum this year, if and only if he is willing his cash cash to get damage, LOL.

I also see a high chance that Casimero will win but as you said, everything should not be taken lightly just because the name Paul Butler doesn't have any impact. Casimero should not just focus on Naoya Inoue but also be serious about this upcoming fight.

But there's a change I have noticed, Casimero seems silent and not doing trash talk. I like the way he is right now compared to before where trash talk is already his main activity when there's an upcoming fight of him.

2034  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Logan Paul vs Mike Tyson on: February 13, 2022, 11:48:26 PM
Wow, that really is a huge amount of money. If you let both fighters fight at their best, Tyson would win. It's amazing to see Tyson still want so badly. His acting career is not going well either. He weighed 160 kilos a while ago, but is now trained again. Logan will find another opponent with a nice name/reputation.

There is probably no man on earth who saw Mike Tyson in action and would have doubts as to who will win this fight. However, this is not going to be a normal sport fight. Everything will probably be staged in advance, and what we are going to watch will be just a show. Unfortunately, in this case it is only about money, but I can admit that it will be nice to watch Mike Tyson again in the ring.

Exhibition matches are supposedly for show and entertainment purposes therefore, being the fight staged or not shouldn't be a big deal for us.

Mike Tyson won't go in a serious match for an obvious reason.

If this fight happened, just enjoy the show as you won't see another chance to see Mike Tyson in a boxing scene.
2035  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can you make money from meme coins? on: February 11, 2022, 11:59:04 PM
of course you can, although instead of calling it making money i’d call it gambling if it’s using memecoins, it’s basically the same thing as any shitcoins out there, just a tool for gambling and market manipulation, i think it’s best avoiding these kind of coins because it could incur investment losses, if you wanna truly make money you should instead try staking because it could give your profits from just staking your investment, could be beneficial for you if you are also waiting for the next bullish run cycle, and it could just multiplies your profits easily.
but there are many cases of investment losing in staking that shouldn’t be underestimated, I guess many kind of investment form that could give you long term profits always carries risk of losing your investment. I just wanna try to remind you that stop to create scam token again OP.

People have to think of a strategy where they can make money even for a meme coin. These coins wouldn't become popular if there's no money in here. We should not just think that these coins are all useless where in fact, as an example, Dogecoin and Shiba Inu do have a good trading volume every day and their respective market capitalization is now huge.

Don't just hold but rather, circulate those coins thru the usual "buy low sell high" action.

Might be hard for others but as they build experience, they will be used on doing it.
2036  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which is better: Ethereum or the Binance Smart Chain? on: February 11, 2022, 11:58:58 PM
Which is a better platform? Ethereum or the Binance Smart Chain? Please explain why.

Platform? Maybe we can call it a network, much better.

Generally, the creation of BSC is derived from the ETH network. We can fairly say that both networks are fast but the main concern is fees. BSC won't be created I think as a priority if no big fees happened using the ETH network.

For now, it seems that using BSC network is more convenient, much especially if we are concern about the transaction fees.
2037  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: That is why play to earn concept is a massive failure on: February 11, 2022, 11:58:49 PM
Quote
The play-to-earn model on its own is unsustainable. By its very nature, it creates an unsustainable pyramid scheme-like system where new players buy in only to create and sell digital goods to those who buy in after them. Above and beyond that, it creates a culture of virtual indentured servitude where individuals are dragged forward by the threat of a lost investment to play a video game at the cost of their own mental and physical health.

All the games build upon this same structure and there is nothing new other than skin color and weapon design. High entry fees in the game and high challenge for new users is demotivating new users to join the system. Only early adopters are earning massively because of those unique teams they got. Unique users registration is decreasing day by day which shows the hype is going down with flame.

Regardless of what the game feature is, the main reason for play-to-earn games to be successful is only because of HYPE. There are lots of games already that we can fairly say have a good build and features but without hype, those games won't attract the players.

I have seen lots of good graphics play-to-earn games that didn't get the attention of the masses.

We just have to hunt that best game and hope for the best result if we risk money on those.
2038  Economy / Gambling / Re: Rapper wins 1,3M$ on: February 11, 2022, 11:58:35 PM
One of the most famous rappers posts pictures showing his three bets worth 1.5 million dollars, all of which were correct, and he scored a huge win of 1.3 million dollars.
I think he crashed the gambling site STAKE. If you really had a lot of money, would you risk placing a $500,000 bet?

That was a big win. It's a win that only a few can experience.

For your question, no one can't answer it right because our answer will depend on our financial capability.

We can just answer that question if in the future, we can have a chance to hold that kind of money and no worries if it will lose.
2039  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: February 10, 2022, 11:52:55 PM
I hope to see this game live on TV and I also hope that betting odds will be available.

Some games will be broadcasted on Sports5 TV Channel.

You can also refer to some Facebook Sports group which is now more being followed compared to watching it live on local television.

Anyway, there should be always a live game on local TV since that was the usual setup even before.
2040  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: February 10, 2022, 11:49:14 PM
The strength maybe but the speed? I think he is not fast enough, he could not even catch Rigo.  Smiley

I see Casimero successful because of his great timing in the ring, if he maintains his coolness and worth smarter, then for sure he will win the fight, and who knows he can score a knockout that would make people be interested more in him again.
It's like Paul Butler is also tough and it will be quite hard for Casimero to give that blow of KO to him. But it's what we want to happen that he'll give a KO to win this fight. That's why the expectation of having a KO is always there but if the score really tallies and he'll outscore Butler.
No stress at all that he'd win this fight through a decision and that's still a win. Well, everyone is becoming excited but also wanting to see this fight end go well and fast.

I also think that Paul Butler is tough since, in the first place, he won't reach being the Top 1 challenger for nothing.

He's also a type of fighter that doesn't have the style of running away from his opponent to play safe.

I'm expecting he will give Casimero a close combat fight as fans will surely want that kind of action once they meet on the ring.
