2021  Other / Meta / Re: Auto-correct will improve communication on BTT on: December 05, 2022, 05:20:07 PM

A script to autocorrect and making word suggestion will not only make conveying ideas easier, it will also improve the vocabularies of Bitcoin talkers. I know there are many websites that can improve one's writing and communication skills that I don't dispute, but learning can be done anywhere and with the increase in users improved communication can make the forum more outstanding.
There are many online tools even browser extensions too. Grammarly and such type of tools can help. You need to type there and once you are happy with the text then paste and post. Browser extensions are useful as free tools. Just install one of the extension it will do it's job.

I think browser itself has an option of auto-correct words or at-least it suggest when something is wrong.

1x1:10
I was in this category and if I am not mistaken this is first time I received 3 points LOL, it does not change anything though. The pool is dead for me. In the extra time I think it will finish with goalless and in the penalty Japan might get advanced. If they do then the job for Brazil will be easier.

Edit: Croatia withdraw Modric means they are not going to try to score in the extra time. They are saving his energy for penalty shoots.
2023  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's FIFA World Cup 22 Prediction Pool Discussion thread on: December 05, 2022, 03:59:40 PM
If that happens which can only happen in a dream world in my opinion it will not be another big upset but it will the biggest upset of all history of World Cup football.
In the last group match I was saying Cameroon to win against Brazil, I did not believe myself when I said that but we had 1 - 0 win for Cameroon. I understand Brazil was with the B team but still LOL

Today if something happen even close to a draw in the 90 minutes then it will be a big surprise. Most likely Neymar is back means we are going to see the best Brazil squad although there are few injuries. But I will be looking forward to at-least a 2 goal difference win for them.

In the current match, are we going to see a Japan win? They are good at defending and they already have a lead.

For this reason: LFG CROATIA, I NEED A 2:1!  Cheesy
I don't need anything as I am already leading from the bottom LOL
2024  Other / Meta / Re: Prevent Multiple Bitcointalk Login on: December 05, 2022, 01:49:54 PM
Let me twist your proposition

"I propose as a security precaution that the option to save passwords in the browsers shouldn't exist."

Seriously, it's not something to do if someone cares about security
Security, privacy; these things are very hard to maintain these days. Whenever you are connecting with internet you are leaving foot prints. Google, Facebook and everyone are doing everything to business with your personal information.

OP, don't worry much.
I am sure you have resettled your password and changed the captcha removing URL too. Do both if you have done only one.
2025  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's FIFA World Cup 22 Prediction Pool Discussion thread on: December 05, 2022, 01:34:35 PM
Gotta feel bad for Lewa. You can't even call Poland a one-man army cos even he can just dissapear out of the game.
That goal in the last second should give Robert Lewandowski something out of nothing. Really feel bad for him. Imagine he was with a team like England, France, German and others. In Poland he indeed is an one man army.

Japan v Croatia
Brazil v South Korea

I smell a few upsets
You mean you are smelling Brazil to lose the match? 😂
If that happens then it will be another big upset of the world cup again.

Japan - Croatia, I am expecting a draw.
2026  Other / Meta / Re: Incentivizing moderation reports with millimerits on: December 04, 2022, 02:59:09 PM
So, the idea would be for each user to have a "millimerit" balance (either hidden from view, or maybe visible next to the existing report accuracy numbers). Moderators could then award members with say 25 millimerits for any good report and -100 for any bad report.

The balance can (maybe, not sure) go negative, so you would have to "work off" each of your bad reports to get back above zero and each time you accumulate 1000 millimerits (40 good reports) the balance gets reset and you're awarded one real merit.

The whole idea of merit is to reward a good quality post. I don't think we should confuse it with a reporter's reporting status.
2027  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Bestchange keeps scammer exchangers and probably collaborates with them on: December 04, 2022, 02:53:46 PM
OMG. You don't know how does it work in Russia. And these exchangers are Russian. Have you heard about darks? Have you heard about merchants registered to other person's name you can buy? Have you heard about Qiwi payment system? You can register there using darks and have a merchant (providing only physical person's passport number). Also you can have Qiwi virtual card and receive money from clients to this card. And almost all exchangers that provide exchanges from bank cards accept funds to Qiwi virtual cards.
I do not have any idea how Russian economy works. In a normal state you will need KYC and company registered if you want to run an online business that needs to accept payment and also to send money. The transactions have to be via the authorized bank or you will be convicted for money laundering.

This is one of the many reason most of the crypto users like to stay anonymous. Who give a sh*t to some centralized agency to determine what you should and should not do.
2028  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's FIFA World Cup 22 Prediction Pool Discussion thread on: December 04, 2022, 02:46:59 PM
Netherlands v Argentina in quarter final sounds like a tasty match. Messi, de Jong, de Light, Lisandro, Lautaro, Memphis...

I'd put my money on Argentina tho... Too much firepower
Messi is in good form so my bet will be for Argentina too. I would also like to see a match between Argentina vs Brazil In football world cup nothing else could be more beautiful than see these two rivalry going against each others. It would have been more exciting if Neymar was not injured.

Today France and England should qualify. However I would love to see some fire from Robert Lewandowski, he is one of the most decorated player not only for Poland but for the entire Europe.
2029  Economy / Reputation / Re: [Discussion] Bitcointalk Community Awards 🏆 on: December 03, 2022, 12:14:40 PM
However, I appreciate your honesty about considering it wrong to be voted at Best SpamBuster category. But I wrote that post as it intrigued me about who was igehhh talking about. As far as I see, none of the Top 3 made only 500-1000 reports...
Given the high level of copy and past voting going on, I took a look at the first page and saw two exact match votes with little spinning, 25-30mins apart, which I posted somewhere on this thread, but I'm too lazy to link it here. That being said, I'm enjoying the spam bursting category so far. And as for my report stats, I gave up a long time ago, because about 30+ cases are still unhandled, reporting in the gambling section is a headache, so I decided to make a list of spammers, remove the ones who improved after a few conversations, and send the rest to their campaign managers for evaluation, and the results have been good so far.

my report stats isn't bad either. i cant compete with bot users. no way.
You quoted wrong person flumpnuggets 😘
Anything over 16 and over 89% accuracy is of course a good stat 🤣
2030  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Rollbit.com scam, and took my money including deposit. (500$) on: December 03, 2022, 12:06:46 PM
Another accusation against Rollbit and another hiccup because of allowing multi account.

If that's the case, how was the same address used again? Even if it's the same user, that shouldn't happen.
It seems like you are assuming that OP is telling the truth about using the exchange he mentioned, which made the mistake of giving him a reused address. Let's say he is lying about that, and he had multiple accounts that he used on Rollbit and ended up withdrawing from those accounts into the same ETH address. It's a totally different story then.
Mind that sportsbook and casino abusers already know that there is a place where they can go and cry, manipulate words and get sympathy. The members of the place have enough authority to the crypto sportsbooks that they can create good pressure and get advantage of their misleading accusations.

Just look at the topics created on the board, almost all casino have at least one accusation by newbies. Having said that, these days I only pay attention to any accusation that have very well presentation of the back up evidences.
2031  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Bestchange keeps scammer exchangers and probably collaborates with them on: December 03, 2022, 11:45:23 AM
I wonder if it is even possible to provide this type of exchanger service without registering a company (of any kind, even if it was offshore).
To receive and send money you will need a merchant account and to get a merchant account you will need to be fully KYCed. In most cases (I have not seen any merchant yet) merchant requires company information to open an account with them.

for every fiat exchange, a bank is required. can the whole business be done as a physical person (no company) and do banks tolerate such things?
It's only possible when dealing with cash in person which is of course inconvenient considering the time we are in. No one is okay with cash in hand.
2032  Other / Meta / Re: What happen when two person report the same post on: December 03, 2022, 11:35:16 AM
If I am right then our latest addition was Welsh
I think it was mole0815 over in one of the local sections. I'm not sure of that, but I was appointed a few years ago now. I suspect there has been additions since then. Might be a few, not something I tend to keep track of though.
Time actually moves very fast. The time you were appointed as moderator which was known from some threads of-course, feels like only from yesterday. The forum members don't get much update about administrational activities (we don't need to as well) so we have no way to know unless anyone is checking status of moderators on different boards for their own interest.
I always thought mole0815 was appointed long before you LOL
2033  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's FIFA World Cup 22 Prediction Pool Discussion thread on: December 03, 2022, 11:28:10 AM
Didnt expect less than from you lol
Although it was not 1 - 2 for Cameroon but it was 0 - 1 and I do not think anyone was predicting it. Not even me believed when I was making the post LOL
I was wrong about Switzerland not going to the 2nd round because I was not hoping them to win against Serbia.

while big names like Belgium, Uruguay, Germany eliminated already.
I will add Mexico and Serbia too.
Germany, Uruguay, Mexico were doing everything but because of the result from other matches, they had could not qualify even after winning their last match with dominance.
2034  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's FIFA World Cup 22 Prediction Pool Discussion thread on: December 02, 2022, 07:02:52 PM
Come on man, can you put more normal results in this World Cup....
No. In less than 120 minutes Brazil will lose against Cameroon by 1 - 2 and Switzerland will draw with Serbia by  0 - 0 resulting Brazil and Cameroon in the 2nd round LOL
South Korea was outstanding.
Feel bad for Uruguay.

Three team I like so far gone from the world cup. Mexico, Germany and Uruguay. May be it's time for Serbia too.
2035  Economy / Gambling / Re: Selling ready2run gambling platform! on: December 02, 2022, 02:13:57 PM
Well, let's be honest.... buying a "white label" casino ...come with a lot of risk. You presume that the developer have no "backdoors" into you casino. You might be running for months without any problems and once your warm wallets are jam packed, the person with the keys to your castle, might give you a visit and withdraw all the money from your users accounts.  Roll Eyes

The person who sold you the software, will then wash their hands... because they will say that it worked for months and nobody exploited the software, so this must have been hackers.  Roll Eyes
Anyone who do not have an IT team but thinking to launch a casino then they will face the type of situation. But a serious business will not buy a script from an unknown white label script provider. They will look for license and things to save their own business while they will have a team to audit the codes too.
2036  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's FIFA World Cup 22 Prediction Pool Discussion thread on: December 02, 2022, 02:07:50 PM
I move into 10th place thanks to correctly assuming Croatia would hold Belgium to a draw. I only did not expect both teams not managing to score.
I gave up the pool lol. If there are any announcement of having a reward from the bottom then I am in again.

I played all in yesterday night at an odd of 1.10 for Germany and I know I should not be doing such things
You should not do the all in thing. I even know people who lost add of 1.01. In gambling there are nothing as sure win. Always have some back up money to try recovering the loss although when you are too much in gambling you will eventually lose.
2037  Other / Meta / Re: What happen when two person report the same post on: December 02, 2022, 01:24:50 PM
I don't have many reports per month and the french section is not the most active, so most of my mod actions are done without a report.

How is the payment then? In other words, I can create many accounts, spam with them, delete topics and reap profits or I can tighten the deletion criteria to get more payments.
That's funny considering the loyalty the mods are showing and how they were picked to be a moderator in the forum. It's only possible in altcoinforum, cryptotalk and other shitcoin forum where there are no moral value for both admin and the users.

If I am right then our latest addition was Welsh and he was reporting silently before he was picked to be a moderator for the board he is assigned.
2038  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Advice / Help - UI UX Design on: December 02, 2022, 01:14:36 PM
A bit of background: he has been working in Data Analytics for a few years and wants to add
UI UX Design to the portfolio.
Your son needs to do some Google search. These days who could be better than a search engine? 😉

https://userguiding.com/blog/best-ux-design-books/
https://www.eleken.co/blog-posts/ui-ux-books
https://www.creative-tim.com/blog/educational-ui-ux/best-web-design-books/
https://www.uxdesigninstitute.com/blog/must-read-books-for-ux-designers/

There are many to start but from above references you should be able to select one or two for him.

P.S: I am wondering how old is your son?
2039  Economy / Reputation / Re: [Discussion] Bitcointalk Community Awards 🏆 on: December 02, 2022, 01:05:07 PM
However, if you want to compete with them Grin, why don't you, I think, and igehhh, since he is very much outraged by the unfairness of the elections, show your progress?
Wait a minute, I am not complaining about any of it. Sh*t how you misunderstood it. I was saying it's unfair to vote me for spambuster category. But I also see there are things that are worth improving like:
Giving mods the vote for spambusters
Fail of the year and Event of the year seems to be not going to any specific users
Miss Bitcointalk because we really don't know who is what sex etc

But in any way, I never showed my disappointment. In fact, I am enjoying the nominations I am receiving in Miss bitcointalk category LOL
The whole point of the award discussion is to have fun. I think it's working for me.

Quote
If you're referring to how GazetaBitcoin found the data in the post you quoted, then I guess it doesn't take a genius
I highly doubt, they do it that way. It will take hours even days to check all the entries.
2040  Economy / Reputation / Re: [Discussion] Bitcointalk Community Awards 🏆 on: December 02, 2022, 11:50:11 AM
I just took a glance at first 70-80 votes (out of 100) and, so far, this is how this top look like so far: GazetaBitcoin (22 votes), lovesmayfamilis (18 votes), Ratimov (18 votes), mprep (6 votes), Lafu (5 votes), actmyname (4 votes), The Pharmacist (3 votes), BitcoinGirl.Club (3 votes), Welsh (2 votes), SFR10 (2 votes), suchmoon (2 votes) and 13 more users with 1 vote each. I did not count with 100% attention, I just took a glance, so there may be minor differences.
Whoever these three voters are, they have no idea that the number of reports I have is 16 with 89% accuracy LOL. I don't know about others but I saw how aggressive Ratimov is. Over 100k reports are not something even believable. When someone is voting for me while there are others with 100k reports then they are just simply making fun of it or they are completely ignorant.

I am curious how do you find the numbers. If I understand, you are using Ninjastic but how do you get the detail numbers?
