2021  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Other Bitcoin forum on: February 14, 2017, 06:20:50 AM
I've seen some other forums with signature campaigns. Namely Roger Ver's forum has at least 1 sig camp I know.
Here is an example: https://forum.bitcoin.com/the-forum/bitcoin-games-signature-campaign-t10888.html?hilit=signature
Also I've seen signature posting offers somewhere else, but I didn't bookmark it because payment was so low that I was totally disinterested.

Bitcoin games is still owned by the same owner of the forum. Are there any other signature campaigns there that are also running here? I think theres none because the traffic in Roger Ver's forum is not so heavy. Its a ghost town in there right now.
2022  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Other Bitcoin forum on: February 13, 2017, 06:35:17 AM
Is there any another forum about bitcoin that has also the same as our bitcointalk.org that let us earned by signature campaign and other staff about using bitcoin, i want to research some of it and try to earn more or find more article or comments..

If youre looking to earn more by joining signature campaigns then sorrowfully theres only Bitcointalk. You should be happy with what youre getting. At least you're earning something for posting in a forum. Its something you do for free so earning some free money should be appreciated enough. Dont be insatiable.
2023  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or zcash? on: February 13, 2017, 06:26:41 AM
Well it seems OP is all in for zcash Smiley, anyway I do think both currency can exist hand in hand, depend on the purpose of the people.  As one of the earlier post said, we don't want the world to see how much is our wealth,do we?  So i guess anonymous coin have their purpose and and so bitcoin is Smiley

What reason do you think will both Zcash and Monero can co exist in a very competitive market?

On another note. Are both cryptocurrencies scalable? I read about both and checked out their websites and I found out that in Monero, it doesnt and will not scale because the blocks are bigger than BTC's blocks. The same case may also be for Zcash.
2024  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Genesis Mining? on: February 13, 2017, 06:17:49 AM
There is no cloud mining right now are profitable and most of them are scam like other said better to don't invest and much better to stay buying bitcoins and hold it for a long time or buy bitcoins and sell them if the price is high it can make you profit in that way..
The other thing is investing in gambling casino some of the site like crypto-games are legit to invest but its risky because they are relaying in winning of gamblers and loses..

The act that the cloud mining sites advertise and market themselves as profitable is already an act of scamming. Every cloud mining site out there who obviously will not bring you ROI will tell you that they will. All they do is suck money from everyone they can scam and then after some time close down and hide. They will then set up another cloud mining site and scam a new set of people.
2025  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How to be a signature campaign manager? on: February 13, 2017, 06:09:43 AM
How much do signature campaign managers make in a month? Can they make something like .25 BTC? Legendary members in the forum can make up to around .2 BTC. I would think that managers are being paid more for their very hands on job.

Whos the best signature manager here at bitcointalk?
Most of the times they take a % of the total budget of the campaign per month, some I know take as much as 10-15%, while me getting back in the sig business and all make like 5% per month. I'd vote for Lutpin if its for the active ones and Carra23 for the inactive ones.
not bad at al. 10 to 15% of total campaign budget means if a campaign pay 100BTC, the manager will get 10BTC. and for 50BTC campaign manager will get 5BTC. this is really amazing. but only qualified campaign managers will get that rate.

5 to 10 BTC for a few weeks work is good money. For example the Qtum signature campaign, it will only last for 5 or 6 rounds, it has a huge budget for a short campaign. Lets say its 20 BTC. So blackmamba, the campaign manager is getting 2 BTC or 2000 $ for working 5 to 6 weeks? Thats impressive. Sign me up. How do I become a manager?

2027  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Genesis Mining? on: February 12, 2017, 02:04:13 PM
Most people will tell you Genesis and all cloud mining are scams.

I don't personally believe they are, but they're for people who don't understand all the factors that go into mining payout.  I recommend you first use a mining calculator which takes into account difficulty increase.  You'll find the only way to profit is if the cost of bitcoin increase.  Then consider the difference between just purchasing the bitcoin and realizing the increase and you'll understand why people think it's a scam.

But again I wouldn't call it a scam, just a poor investment if you run the numbers.

You dont get it. There are a lot of cloud mining services that are set up to try and take everyone's money and then run away. The owners behind it know there are enough gullible people in the forum for them to bank a profit. Sure some are not scams. I think Genesis is one of the good ones for now.

Since you know a lot about cloud mining. Can you give the services that you think that are not scams?
2028  Economy / Marketplace / Re: How Does Someone Compete With Poloniex? on: February 12, 2017, 01:57:38 PM
It is impossible to compete that huge company if you got no reputation, you need to build up your reputation before you can equal to Poloniex, but if I were you I will go to other business I think gambling business is more profitable than exchanger business, and small gambling site got more chance to survive than small exchanger site

Another business that has potential could be a lending platform for people to loan and borrow cryptocurrencies in. Ive not seen a successful lending platform anywhere and the use of cryptocurrencies could help change that. Maybe one of the reasons why is because it might become a playground for scammers. A perfect reputation system and escrow system could change that. The illegal markets in the darknet could be a good example of how to do a reputation system.
Lending is not as good since they support scammers. Poloniex can be competed if there are a big company like google or Microsoft decide to open a service which related to the cryptocurrency. And As long as the number of Bitcoin users keep increasing, I think that online casino can be a good competitor since there are many people love to gamble

You are so wrong I thinking that a huge company like Microsoft or Google will get into the business of cryptocurrency exchanges. That would be a legal nightmare for them and it could also smear their image. Cryptocurrency businesses are perfect for smal start ups because it is something very new.

He was just giving example by mentioning google or Microsoft, poloniex is undoubtedly dominate over exchange but it will soon meet its match as there many exchange with good potential.

I know. The point is the more established corporations dont have the advantage of the start ups of being able to maneuver and pivot in the fast paced business of cryptocurrencies. The best case scenario for Microsoft or Google is to set up a small and independent company if they want to get involved with cryptocurrencies.
2029  Economy / Economics / Re: Build a Bank Of Bitcoin on: February 12, 2017, 01:51:09 PM
if i build a bank of bitcoin that operating like a traditional fiat money bank when people can save the money and get interest for their saving and also people can get a loan from my bank but the fiat money is change for bitcoin, the question is would you guys trust me to save your bitcoin on my bitcoin bank that i want to build ?

The chief revenue source for Bank is difference between interest rates of deposits and lendings. But as a Bitcoin Bank, giving unsecured loans in Bitcoin is impossible due to anonymity of Bitcoin. While very difficult to give secured loans due to volatility of Bitcoin. It is very difficult to ascertain value of collateral. Giving long-term loans will almost impossible. Suppose Bank gave loan on 12th Feb 2016 and what about Bitcoin after one year? $600+ in bitcoin value.
Re-think!

It will also be open to a lot of fraudulent activities by the BTC banks. If they have a slight majority of their BTC on loan to their clients they can manipulate the market by dumping and make the price lower. This will make the borrowers have smaller purchasing power with their borrowed BTC. The banks then can use fiat to scoop them back at a cheaper price.
2030  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or zcash? on: February 12, 2017, 01:45:34 PM
your real question should be zcash or monero, since they share the same features, and are both very anonymous, bitcoin has nothing to do with them it's the king, altcoin are just a testnet to make bitcoin better int he future

zcash currently should have a stronger anonymity because it's based on zero-knowledge proof, while monero on ring signature, but monero have a stronger market in the deep web, it's more accepted

Thats a good point. What is better for you? Is it Zcash or Monero? I have no deep knowledge with the technology behind them and I want to know which one is better for anonymity. Is it ring signatures or zero knowledge proof? Please kindly explain each of them and how they anonymize transactions briefly.
2031  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or zcash? on: February 11, 2017, 07:34:53 AM
A lot of people in this forum say that Zcash is a scam. I dont know much about it and I have done some googling about it and have found out that they have a solid team behind it. Are those people only trying to cause fear, uncertainty and doubt?

It does look overpriced. I might buy some at single digit values.
2032  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Central bank faces 3 dilemmas when dealing with bitcoin on: February 11, 2017, 07:26:57 AM

It would be in our best interest if it werent defined as money. There are a lot of laws that they can throw at you and claim that you broke if its defined as money. How can you define it as real money if it is only a numbers in a computer screen and not manufactured and distributed by a governments Minting Corp.?

I understand the difference between "money" and "fiats" through bitcoin.

Actually thats true. BTC brings us back to the question, what really is money? Does it have to be issued by the government and be official? There was a time when humans used shells as currency. Why not BTC? BTC has brought back the system of us dealing directly with others without a middleman needed.

2033  Economy / Economics / Re: Build a Bank Of Bitcoin on: February 11, 2017, 07:19:58 AM
With the price fluctuations happening with bitcoin it is really a hard to function by paying interest to the users similar to the traditional banking. With banks a common interest is paid to the users but with bitcoin if interest is paid depending on the price of bitcoin people won't be benefitted much. This keeps them to follow traditional banking than the bitcoin banking system.

Yeah theres also that problem. If some bank is dealing only with Bitcoin now they would be having a board meeting right now discussing how fiat is a better currency for them to use. They will see their capitalization sink or go up by 20% on a weekly or monthly basis.

2035  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Qtum]UTXO based POS Smart Contract Platform | Crowdsale March 2017 on: February 11, 2017, 07:12:22 AM
Has everyone heard of the latest news that the Peoples Bank of China has had a meeting with more Chinese cryptocurrency exchanges and this caused Huobi and Okcoin to suspend all withdrawals of BTC and LTC from their sites? Others will possibly follow and might suspend all cryptocurrency deposits and withdrawals.

How does this affect the Qtum ICO since it will be done on 3 major Chinese exchanges? Will there be a change of plans?
They also have a plan to sell it from their website and also from an ico website so in some unlikely event, investors will always have choice but I would love to see atleast one non-Chinese exchange also.
As far signature campaign, yes public memory is short lived,I do not think it is a good idea to end signature campaign before ICO.
I think signature campaign should have been started in February and last till first week of March.

Poloniex would be my first choice for an exchange thats not Chinese. They are trustworthy enough to do the job and if an ICO is organized over there you will know that the project is not a scam. Another choice I have is Kraken.
2036  Economy / Speculation / Re: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love FUD on: February 10, 2017, 07:24:30 AM
Thats very reassuring, thanks for posting the chart. Sometimes we are inclined to be short sighted and forgetful of the past that a little sell down make us panic. A lot of people have made the mistake of releasing their coins only for happy buyers taking their place. Its their loss and this actually favors the price of BTC because they fuel the pump when they feel regret and buy back in at spot prices.

Two words for you. NO WAY.

Why would I trust you? BTC is designed to remove the trust and become a trustless system. It removes the middlemen, also known as the banks, out of the transaction if I send BTC from my wallet to another wallet. Why add an old concept to what is something new? Your thinking should be changed.

"Yes, I think it is money in the future to allow people to make payments quickly without limit Smiley
