20381  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Dragonmint B52 miner from Halong on: April 17, 2018, 01:53:28 PM
@ yankees  this miner has one speed setting full speed ahead.

The Dragonmint T1  has firmware upgrades from-ck

slow        = Efficiency
medium  =  Balanced
fast        =  Preformance.

The B52 does not have the  firmware upgrade for that.

So it just goes fast.

This makes it loud and it uses about 1475 watts  on a Myrig psu.
But it earns  good money.

-ck told me that a firmware upgrade may be coming for it.

he does not do alt coin software  but he believes  Halong can adapt his firmware without him.

For now  this miner is earning me  3200 sia a day on  siamining

that is 3200 x 0.00000227 = 0.007264 btc a day  or $58.85 usd a day

power of 1500 = 36 kwatts or  3.60 usd a day at 10 cents

$58.85 - $3.60 =  55.25 a day.

that would be 30 x 55.25 = 1657 usd a month

@ vinci  it varies on both  nicehash and on siamining

it gets up to 4.2 and down to 3.6 on siamining

it goes from 2.5 to 5.5 on nicehash.

Using live hash rate value for power consumption calculations is not that great of an idea.

Does the T1 show an average hash rate value in the web status page?

For example, if I look at the live hash rate value (GHS5s) for Avalon841,
it shows a whopping big value of 32.5Th/s hash rate for two A841 units setup.
So about 16Th/s per A841 unit, for a short time period.

it has a hash rate average line  most of the T1's
on Efficiency   run from 13.6 to 14.1

I multiple sample  it  and I compare to pool hash rate

20384  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: DragonMint 16TH/S halongmining.com on: April 17, 2018, 11:44:13 AM
@ Thetaj

so 1 s-9  was a unicorn  unit.

I did have an S-7  that would clock higher then any other one.  It also did .234 watts a gh  by far the best of the 20+ s-7's I owned.

I ran the T1 over night

it is using the corsair Ax1500i

13720 gh

https://i.imgur.com/8OTiGXs.png

watts are 1318

that is 1318/13720 = 0.09606 a gh

but in video  hash jumped to 13920  that is

1318/13920 = 0.09468

final video using the corsair Ax1500i is here

Your video will be live at: https://youtu.be/2qbx9voYEQg

MY thanks to this loaner from a forum member.

He cherry picked his middle sample of five.

I will be going to the solar array and running  tests on the five units I have there.

note one of the five  units  dropped a board at the efficiency setting and will need a reboot and a re set to balanced setting

Until then the T1 is king of efficiency

Until you set up your 841 at -1 or -2 . Wink

Lets see.....

my 841s @-1 runs at ~13.5@1230w = ~91.1W/Th (or 0.0911w/gh if you old school)

Honestly I don't have any T1s so I don't know the power efficiency on my electric setup (I run 230v)

for the sake of THIS argument, I have MANY S9s (enough to make an unbiased test). So I will post some W/hash for you all for the 13.5 and the 14th ones.

No point in yelling without any actual data.

true for the 841 as I don't have them as of today.

I would be interested in seeing any s-9 under .10  I never got one to go below .101 and that was the older early batches that  allowed full frequency  adjustments.
20386  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: DragonMint 16TH/S halongmining.com on: April 16, 2018, 11:21:30 PM
Has anybody had any luck getting SSH and/or Priviledged API access to their Halong's?

I have a lot more coming (April batch 2) and being able to automate the configuration of these things (like we can with the Bitmain stuff) is going to be super helpful for me.

I've contacted Halong, but was curious if anyone else out there has had success getting more access to them.

Thanks!

-ck  has to know how to do it .

Ask him via pm.

Buysolar just called me from China 3 hours ago.

we will  see if the 841 at low eff is better then the T1

I actually think  this year there will be a big shift in the game.

Samsung = $$$

Market cap is over 300 billion
20388  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: DragonMint 16TH/S halongmining.com on: April 16, 2018, 07:09:57 PM
This is Samsung's first entry into mining ASIC chips not their 9th like Bitmain and they are already more efficient, just imagine them a free generations in, I would be worried if I was Bitmain.

yep  and as I said the B52 they built  is 2.5x better then bitmain's A3

My thoughts are the T1+ or T2 = beast

Latest T1 video

Your video will be live at: https://youtu.be/RgUN_1n_7Z8

when someone clearly shows an s-9 doing these numbers of efficiency.

I will retract my statement.

@ frodocooper

You have stated you don't like the t1 due to the asic boost license

You have edited this thread hundreds of times.

my posts have been chopped to pieces by you.

I am now being called a liar.  Yet numnutz2009 has zero proof that any s-9 can best my youtube videos showing 0.095 watts per gh

Seems to me a very strong fear of samsung/Innosilicon/Halong on your part and on the part of numnutz2009

once again I will retract my statement the T1 is a little better then the s-9 if someone shows clear video evidence that the s-9 can do

0.095 watts a gh in the 13800 to 14100 gh hashrate.

Until then the T1 is king of efficiency
20390  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: DragonMint 16TH/S halongmining.com on: April 16, 2018, 02:51:22 PM

show me where a t1 does those kinda numbers. again asicboost isnt the base hashrate like i have said multiple times now. if the s9 enabled asicboost which many are sayin is able to be done with a firmware update (no experience one way or the other with asicboost but alotta people r sayin its doable) what then??

Pretty sure this is where your delusion comes from.....

AB or not, base hashrate is 15-16T or whatever people are pulling.  You can't run without AB, so trying to come up with an equivalent number is meaningless.  Furthermore, if you think the S9 has the capability to do AB via a firmware upgrade, then you are misinformed, and do not understand #1: AB, #2: how bitcoin hashing on an ASIC works....

Don't bother  he is not rational.

Too bad as he has lots of points that are good.

but he wants to stick with the crazy one.

here is the simple fact the s-9 at 13.8 to 14.1 th speeds
does not beat the watts per gh of the t1 at 13.8 to 14.1 speeds.

The s-9 does win on purchase price.
It loses on power efficiency  when compared to the efficiency setting on the T1.

And the t1 has a deal with samsung

while it is new gear and will have growing pains

the dragon mint B52 destroys the antminer A3

4.2th to 900gh
1500 watts to  1000 watts

this is important because it is a newer chip and is far far far better then the bitmain chip.

which may mean  newer t1 or t1 +  can be improved by samsung.
quickly.   or not.

I will be post a youtube showing the delta 2400 watt psu with the t1.

about 1325 watts and 13900 gh or 0.0953 watts a gh

20391  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: DragonMint 16TH/S halongmining.com on: April 16, 2018, 02:06:52 PM
What is the wattage draw using the Model:HSTNS-PR16 2450w PSU you promoted?

Is that the long hp ?  Or is that the delta?

I have not run the hp with the new firmware.

I will do two YouTube’s today with the 2400watt delta

And the 2450 watt hp

Show me a s-9 Mining at .0945 watts a gh

You can’t no s-9 does that.

And once again to be clear it is better then an s-9.

But if you can show me a clear video of an s-9 doing

0.0945 or 0.0955 watts a gh I will apologize and retract my claim that it is better

At numnutz2009

To make the case correctly.  don't  quote me  without this info below

I always said wait till I get mine and test them.

So now that I tested them

decide if you want to order a 13.9 th to 14.1 th that uses about 1325 watts

on under clock  with the stock myrig psu.

it is not loud on efficient setting.

to set s-9 fans your way voids warranty.

and no s-9 does 0.095 on an apw3 or for that matter on a myrig psu.

To all those that order before I did tests that is on them.

What do I think it is worth

more then 1228  less then 2000

to be more clear

more the 1450
less then 1850

Great stuff, welcome aboard. I think you'll be pleased when the next firmware becomes available for your T1s.

Sounds good to me

New Firmware for T1's  make the T1 the most efficient miner there is.

On Efficiency setting 1 do 1298 watts and 14070 gh

1298/14070 = 0.09225 watts

After using the 4-15-18 firmware
with a delta 2400 watt server psu

I am doing about  14070 gh and about 1300 watts  for 1300/14070 = 0.0924 watts a gh.

I have the other 5  T1's in the solar array I will need to set them up.

right now  they do 1650 watts each

they will drop to 1325 watts as the MyRig  psu's do 1325 watts.

I will lower power use in the array from 5x1650 = 8250  to  5x1325 = 6625

hash will drop from  76th to 70th

those last  6th are not worth  1625 watts

@ -ck

nice work on the firmware

Turns out the Corsair sagged to 11.94 volts which dropped hash to 13.8

I now hooked up the plat 2400 watt delta

It does 1305 watts and volts are 12.41

I get 13.85 hash.
You know you can retune it if the PSU delivers a different voltage. Just push the slider to efficient mode and it will tune it again.

Did not think of that.  Thank you
20396  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Antminer S9 stops mining on: April 16, 2018, 05:08:58 AM
Thanks I might try that. I have an extra power supply. I'll try switching them and see if that helps. It's still running when it's not hashing which is why I didn't think about a new power supply.

Try a better ETH cable.

@ storx I am good  really good with cc's

but you are better.

I am 820 rating.

I earn a few thousand a year in

cc rebates
ebay ebucks
mr rebates
ebates
bing searching.

My first 22 years of cc use I never paid interest no 1 penny 1 time.

I have now paid about 1000 in fees and interest after 35 years of cc use.

I estimate 2 x 32 = 64k in pay backs.

Oh coupons at supermarket I was very extreme.

A minimum of 20 or 30k . 1986 to 2018

all told close to 100k  in 32 years.

What price and shipping speed, with the new firmware, do you expect this to be even with competitors? Not that you would get such...just what would be 'comfortable' now?

(assuming, they don't lower their prices yet again, which they seem to do weekly!)

well  it seems to now do 14.2 or 14.3 th

at 1325 watts maybe less with the titanium ax1500i corsair.

it is quieter then the s-9 quite a bit and can run in a garage.

so the high end s-9 is 1288  the s-9 will do 13.9 is loud can not be adjusted and uses 100 extra watts maybe 120 extra watts.

So more hash
less power
quieter
adjustable

all make it worth more the 1288 the 14.0 s-9 with no psu price.

I think they sold these  for 1350 on black friday ? can someone confirm that?

They should under 2k  and moq of 2.

As these are better for a home miner then the s-9.

Buysolar is coming back  in 4 days from china we will be talking about the avalon 841.

The firmware is pretty good now  we will see what  we like better the 841 or the t1

s-9  drops down to second most likely third place.

so bitmain sells them cheap to hurt competitors.

lots of blood to come in crypto world.

Edit

found a corsair Ax1500i

hooked it up and  we are doing 1290 watts

that is on  240 volts 236 to be exact

dc to the unit is 11.94

my rig feeds 12.04  but was pulling 1325 watts

1290 watts is really really   good.  But the volts at 11.94  may cost some hash.

once you power off you need to wait a while for hash rate to settle in

1290/14200 = 0.090845

1480/16000 = 0.09250
