Odds for today's matches are as follows:
What part of the world shows odds in a way you are presenting? Have no idea what they mean  Grin

Anyway Denmark is an enormous favourite against Croatia today and I think bookies understimated Croatia here. Yes we are bad, yes we will probably lose, but to give odds at 1.05 on Denmark is crazy. My bet for today is Croatia +8.5 @1.7. This is the game for both us and Denmark and I don't see it as free scoring.

I wanted to ask the same question but I thought I would sound stupid as I'm not that into betting. I thought it is just some other format to display odds that is known in the betting, but I guess it's not that known if Trofo can't recognize it Smiley

The game against Denmark today is to qualify for the quarter final. If Croatia somehow manages to win it, they won't automatically qualify but they will come very close.

/snip

The Q&A Section for All Reviews:
- Your experience in depositing and withdrawing (Any winnings can be kept by participants, with x50 wagering requirement applied on welcome bonus/free spins)
- Your experience with the platform in general, device compatibility, speed etc.
- Your experience with the customer support (additional languages are a plus)
- A few points about what you liked most, and a couple of improvement suggestions, with a direct example of how you would improve the site.

Croatian HNL league is starting again with a Gorica - Varaždin game which should have been played in November but was postponed. Gorica's new coach Željko Sopić said that getting relegated is not an option so we will see how today's game will end for them. With only seven points in 16 games they desperately need a victory. Three players came on loan from Osijek and they should help them in a battle not to get relegated.

Varaždin on the other hand is in a pretty good position as they are currently sitting in the fifth position. But during this winter break six of their players so we will see how they will continue a battle for one of the top places that lead to European competitions.

Serbia is playing Qatar, after pretty solid match against Germany
it is just a start, but seems that it could be a tough one for us

Egypt is playing really above expectations, brought down all rivals, including Croatia with 10+ goals, not sure how far they can go, but could be a good one for them

I see that Serbia is placed in a group with Norway and Netherlands. Too bad that they couldn't at least get a draw from the game against Germany as that would give them 1 extra point in the next phase. Now they will probably have to beat Norway and Netherlands in order to qualify for the quarter final.

Egypt was always a nation that played great handball so I'm not that surprised that they are winning all the games. It was a surprise that they managed to beat Croatia, especially with that big goal difference. Because of that Croatia will have to win tomorrow's game against Denmark which will be very difficult. In handball Denmark is like Brazil in football. Of course they can be beaten but the other team must play a perfect defense and offense. I guess we will see tomorrow how it will go, but I'm not very optimistic.

A month ago there was a rumor that Man City was looking to sign Leipzig's defender Josko Gvardiol. After that Leipzig announced that they are not too keen on letting Gvardiol go. But now it looks like Gvardiol is once again close to signing for Man City as they already agreed terms with Gvardiol and his family. Now all is left for Man City to cash out probably more than 100 million euros to Leipzig. If that happens, Gvardiol will become by far the most expensive Croatian player in history.

I saw your post and wanted to check where Mexico stands in the list of countries by murder rate per 100k people. I was surprised to see that Mexico is in the 13th spot with 29,07 murders per 100.000 people. That measurement was taken in the 2018 year, but I don't think that anything has changed since then. For comparison, in the USA the murder rate per 100.000 people is 4,96. That still is a big number but it's nothing when compared to Mexico.
I really don't know how smart it is to hold such a big competition in such an insecure country.

We had the 2010 World Cup in South Africa and it was conducted without any safety issues. The same can be said about the 2014 World Cup, which was held in Brazil. Both these countries do have very high murder rates. And in Brazil and South Africa (and in Mexico as well) the crime ridden areas are located far away from the major urban centers. On the other hand, in the United States the major urban metropolitan areas are more crime ridden when compared to the rural localities. If you are concerned about crime, then I guess you need to worry about the US more than the case with Mexico.

The reason why I checked the murder rates in countries hosting the next World Cup was because I had a feeling that the number of murders in USA is not bigger than in Mexico. It turns out I was wrong but it could be that my gut had me believe the numbers are similar because of what you say. The murders in USA are closer to urban areas and because of that they are probably more exposed trough media.

I'm sure that everything will go smooth just like it did in South Africa and Brazil.

I wonder if mexico would be an appropriate place to organize the world cup since they are a very insecure country:

You could hear the shooting – huge blasts, so much noise,” said the Mexican businessman, who had planned to board a flight to the eastern city of San Luis Potosí.[/size]

source: https://www.theguardian.com/world/2023/jan/06/terror-cartel-violence-engulfs-mexican-city-el-chapo-son

reading the article, and just do more research that anyone can see that this type of news is very frequent in mexico, I can not understand why they are putting mexico to organize the world cup when they know the issue of crimes they have, I know that in every country in the world the number of crimes varies, but the difference between Mexico and other countries is that in Mexico they are dealing with drug crimes in which criminals already have evolved weapons and fight against the police, the brazil for example has this, they organized the world cup, but in brazil drug dealers stay in their territory, they have no power in the cities where the police are, whereas in mexico all institutions are corrupted by drug dealers

on the fifth day of the tournament there was the first victory of debutant Belgium (31-29 vs tunisia)

/snip

Wait, Belgium is a debutante in the World Handball Championship? I really did not know that and it's a surprise that they managed to beat Tunisia. Tunisia is a nation that plays good handball so I was surprised to see your post.

I watched a little of the Portugal vs Hungary game yesterday. What shocked me is that Hungary managed to score only two goals in the first 20 minutes of the game. I didn't have the time to watch the rest of the game but I see that they managed to save their honor in the end.

This group phase of the tournament is pretty boring if I may say. In majority of the games the difference in quality of the opponents is just too big to bring some excitement. Maybe the game between Croatia and Egypt was somewhat unexpected. I'm looking forward to the next phase where there should be more interesting games.

Ako ovako nastavite, postat ćete opasna konkurencija Hhampuzu Smiley

I see that Croatia manages to beat USA with a really bit goal difference. Who would have expected this after they lost to Egypt in that way. But that just proves my point that Croatia usually start tournaments lousy and then gets better as tournament progresses. OK, USA is no match to Egypt when it comes to handball, but it's a really nice victory to boost morale.

Other results from yesterday's games are as I expected.
2054  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Croatian League - Hrvatska nogometna liga 2022./2023. on: January 15, 2023, 12:26:33 PM
Even without all those players, Dynamo still has the strongest team in the Croatian football league. Only in Dinamo could it happen that such a quality striker as Drmic doesn't play, because there are better quality strikers than him in the team.
In the same way, Dinamo will earn enough from the transfers of Orsic, Livakovic, Petkovic and Ademi to be able to bring any player from the Croatian football league to the club and thus further weaken their competitors, as they did when they brought Bockaj from Osijek, who later played very little in Dinamo.
For Dinamo and its future, a much greater danger is the fratricidal war between two factions in the club for power, between Antolic and Mamic, and this could lead to serious problems in the management of the club.

That may be the case, but if Dinamo signs majority of the good players from other clubs, what is the future od Croatian clubs in European leagues? All other clubs will play less and less important part in the European leagues and that will weaken Croatian coefficient even more.

As for the fight between two factions, that is a serious problem which I hope they will be able to solve. It amazes me how a person like Mamic can influence things in the club even though he is not in the country anymore.
2055  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Croatian League - Hrvatska nogometna liga 2022./2023. on: January 15, 2023, 10:13:36 AM
Judging by the rumors, Livakovic and Petkovic are also leaving the club soon.
It seems that Livakovic could go to the Spanish league, Villarreal is even mentioned as a possible candidate, and it seems that Petkovic could go to the Turkish league.
If Livakovic and Petkovic really leave, Dinamo will be without their 3 best players in the rest of the season, which will be a big handicap for them.
OK, they still have an advantage in the standings over Hajduk, but they certainly won't be as dominant in the Croatian league as they were with these three players.
The current war for control of the club between the Mamic brothers and Antolic will certainly not help them.

There is also a rumor that Dinamo captain Ademi could be leaving the club. It is rumored that Valencia is willing to bring him, but also two clubs from Premiership are interested in signing Ademi. If all three of them leave, I'm not sure how Dinamo will look like in the rest of the season. This could be an opportunity for other teams in Croatian league to go for the title.
2056  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 IHF Men's World Handball Championship on: January 14, 2023, 03:29:43 PM
It is true that Croatia usually has problems at the beginning of every tournament, but the fact is that Croatia has not been a handball power or a favorite in any tournament for a long time.
Does anyone even remember the last time the Croatian handball team won a medal in a competition?
The Croatian handball league is very weak and uncompetitive, and it seems that Croatia will not participate in the second consecutive Olympic games, which would be a disaster for Croatian handball.
In order to qualify for the Olympic Games, they must reach the quarter-finals of this world championship, and after losing to Egypt, they will most likely have to beat Denmark in the second stage of this competition, which will be an almost impossible mission.
This defeat psychologically shook the Croatian players a lot and I would even now take a risk and bet on the USA winning against Croatia.

To me it looks like Croatian handball is in a steady downtrend. Their peak began twenty years ago when Croatia won the gold medal in Portugal and lasted for the next 10 years. After that their form is in a constant downtrend. You say that Croatian handball league is weak and uncompetitive. It's true, but so is Croatian football league and yet Croatia won two medals in the last two World Cups. Most Croatian handball players are playing in foreign leagues just like in football.
2057  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 IHF Men's World Handball Championship on: January 14, 2023, 01:43:14 PM
I watched whole Croatia game and before everyone says how poor we were I am gonna say Egypt was great. I wouldn't be surprised at all if we see this Egypt side playing in semi finals.

We didn't have any chance with such poor defense and keepers that can't defend a single ball. Next 2 games will be easy for both but then we will have to win against someone good, probably Denmark.

I still think that Croatia could have played better yesterday. I know that Egypt is a very good team but to me it looked like anyone could have beaten us yesterday. Now I regret not putting some money on Egypt because I knew that Croatia always start tournaments lousy and with every game they improve their performance. Even if Egypt is a great team, Croatia still allowed too many easy shots for Egypt players. And you can't expect that a keeper saves a shot when a player comes in full sprint without defense getting in his way.

Well.. I never expected Croatia to lose by such a big margin. Anyway, good luck next time. And despite overwhelming odds, Morocco lost to USA by a tiny margin of 27-28. Yesterday's matches turned out to be quite interesting actually.

Let's discuss today's matches. Here are the odds that I got from various sources:

Iceland vs Hungary: ICE +115
Poland vs Slovenia: POL -125, SLV +160
Montenegro vs Iran: MNT -1111, IRN +900
Portugal vs South Korea: POR -1250, KOR +1200
France vs Saudi Arabia: FRA -850, KSA +850
Brazil vs Uruguay: BRA -1650, URU +1650
Spain vs Chile: ESP -1550, CHL +1550
Sweden vs Cape Verde: SVG -1350, CPV +1350

The first two matches are going to be close, apart from that others are going to be one-sided.

I agree. There's not much chance of a surprise in any game except for the first two that you mentioned. I'm not that into betting so I have never seen this type of odds but I get the idea.

I don't know how many people would agree with me, but IMO Qatar 2022 was a disaster. Obviously the Qataris were able to splash all their wealth and many of the westerners were in awe. But then, the fans were left high and dry with all the restrictions. What is the point in having a major tournament like this, if the fans can't relax and enjoy themselves? There was this last minute restrictions on alcoholic beverages. And the Qataris very cunningly announced it just two days before the first match, to make sure that all the fans have already booked their ticket. And then there was extreme discrimination against unmarried couples and LGBT people. I just hope that FIFA will never allow regressive countries such as Qatar to host such tournaments in the future.

Yeah, there were organizational issues, but the tournament itself, the football, was quite entertaining.

It was a great tournament, with lots of talented people, and many surprises.

I enjoyed watching it a lot.

It depends from which side are you looking at the World Cup 2022. If you watched it on a TV from your home, everything was great and most of the games were interesting. However I'm sure that fans that were stopped in the airport because they didn't get their visa on time. There was a situation where two guys payed almost $3000 for a game and airplane ticket to go to one game. One guy got his visa and the other guy didn't get it in time. The guy without a visa got stopped from entering a plane in Frankfurt, Germany and his friend didn't want to go alone. In the end not only have they lost $3000, they had to buy another plane ticket to get home from Frankfurt.

And then there were those discriminate situations where something that is normal in "our" world was forbidden in Qatar, but I won't go into that.
2059  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 IHF Men's World Handball Championship on: January 13, 2023, 12:31:05 PM
That was actually the only game I missed yesterday, margin was 55.5 not 50 unfortunately.

Right, I thought it was over 50 goals. Too bad but great job on this late ticket. Really a good win Smiley

But I more than made up for it with late ticket, you know the language so you will understand and others can probably get the gist as well. Football games market is both to score, rest should be obvious.

The clock is running in this competition even when we have penalty. So under is the market to go for. That is my main tip for today Croatia - Egypt under 56.5. Egypt is a big under team and we like to wait for last seconds of the attack as well. Should be free money. My first bigger stake in this competition.

I don't know... Croatia didn't play very good defense but they played excellent offense in friendly games before this tournament. It could be that the score will be over 56.5. I wish you luck but I'll skip this one.
2060  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 IHF Men's World Handball Championship on: January 13, 2023, 07:48:25 AM
Cape Verde won with a large margin yesterday, as they defeated Uruguay by 33-25. There were not many upsets. Iran managed to defeat Chile, although by the narrowest of the margins (25-24). Hungary managed to defeat South Korea by 35-27 and Slovenia managed to defeat Saudi Arabia by a large margin of 33-19. So those who made bets on the stronger teams won yesterday. Today's odds are as follows:

Germany vs Qatar: GER -500, Qatar +550
Argentina vs Netherlands: ARG +210, NED -167
Morocco vs USA: MOR -357, USA +450
Bahrain vs Tunisia: BAH +260, TUN -192

Tomorrow's matches:

Croatia vs Egypt: CRO +114, EGY +120
Serbia vs Algeria: SRB -1429, ALG +1500
Denmark vs Belgium: DAN -5000, BLG +5400
Norway vs North Macedonia: NOR -1429, MAC +1500

Actually considering such low odds for Cape Verde vs. Uruguay game, I expected even bigger goal difference. Like I said, I never heard of Cape Verde but looking at the previous results I wouldn't expect Uruguay to score 25 goals.

Trofo, I see that your bet for Saudi Arabia vs Slovenia game to end with 50+ goals was a success. Great call Smiley

As for today's games I'd say that favorites are pretty clear in all games except for the game Croatia vs Egypt. I can't be objective in this game so I will probably go with Croatia winning but it's a tough call. Croatia often plays poor at the start of the tournament and then improve their form as the tournament advances.
