You can be either just dont stand still and wait to get hit repeatedly.  Everything has a purpose, some people try to argue never spend BTC and I see what they intend but BTC should be used or it will amount to nothing.  All these cycles and the attempts we make to profit in theory are required to circulate BTC and make sure its used.
2042  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin Heading Back To $23,000? on: February 04, 2023, 09:52:23 PM
Its likely to turn around and do a loop but how far we go in that go around is not known as BTC is still bullish for the moment.  We have higher highs and higher lows so not exactly a reason to doubt just a slowing of gains is some note but not a signal we have to go down to any extent.      23k is a good call but anything in that area even would be highly positive going forward relative to the prior lows its not much of a pullback at all.  My guess is we go as far as 20k and take longer before actually getting near to 30k

In 3 days month start we had fast movement from a range of 22.7k to 24.2k.   Not the largest move but a fairly large blip and thats how I'd judge the next move from, its break from this range.   We can just bounce back and forth for most of this month, BTC often keeps some kind of range not especially doing something new so I'll gain more interest when its altered behavior less cyclic short term.

Would there be bets for the Oscars this year, cant exactly remember if there was previous but pretty sure we did bet on it in previous years.   I can remember being convinced on the Anthony Hopkins film but I forget if I bet the actor or the film or both.    Surely its popular enough to qualify on the major categories and get the volume of bets back and forth for proper odds.
2044  Economy / Speculation / Re: My fear in fall of Bitcoin. on: February 04, 2023, 05:45:43 PM
Patience required, sometimes its about you more then the market that needs to develop.    Dont ever over reach on BTC holding because it can take years literally, when we say volatile we really mean it.  All the way from extreme hype down to a big lull and sideways movement, thats a real extreme shift from one of the spectrum to the other and the job of anyone involved is to handle it.
Nothing is free, BTC goes up alot we have to be able to handle that hot potato properly its mostly about our ability to hold more then BTC price because price isnt the absolute most important thing its mostly a reflection of the people imo.
2045  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 Oscar Awards betting and discussions on: February 03, 2023, 11:47:13 PM
Remake might not disqualify and also sequel but I'd stick it down as being a point against a win, nothing is absolute but it doesnt help the case very often to put it that way is quite right imo.

actual favorite at the moment is Everything Everywhere All at Once

I wasnt that impressed personally, outside of the complexity of the story and perhaps originality.  I rate it average, I definitely didnt dislike the story but for in-depth or ground breaking story making I didnt find it exceptional so I will really struggle to bet on this choice personally.  Obviously not about me its the votes that go into the Oscar win, I have to guess on that body of opinion but its hard for me to weigh in that choice as credible right now.  Sometimes nominations are done just so they are on the list, the actual chance of the win wasn't there even with a popular film that is not enough.   Going to have to think about this one but for now its a no imo.

In fact, but I still believe Trump is the overwhelming favorite to win the 2024 Republican presidential nomination,

Thats the reason not to bet him ironically, he is too well known vs his actual prospects in the race.    Trump might also be motivated to run purely for the side benefits it gives of some immunity to prosecution or just general harassment from his former political 'colleagues' .  Im not convinced he actually wants to do another term at this pace as again like Bernie he is not getting any younger and its a full job entirely occupying every waking moment.  If I was a billionaire, I'd have a hundred different things more interesting then constant criticism in politics and he already holds the gravitas for life as a president in office or not.
2047  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for February on: February 03, 2023, 10:08:08 PM
Pullback for Feb I think or at best sideways motion.    Lets measure progress by the 1st Feb move which was quite large.    If we maintain this much for a week or so it will resolve bullish but if we fail to hold then we go back to lower 20k and this is probably how Feb unfolds.

So far we maintain the 23324 level as lows and general action fits into that initial move with its slightly higher volume.   I think we do break this area and it will give us a direction and description of strength to judge better going forward.   Sideways consolidation I find positive but often not keep weekly or similar averages weighs down BTC some as speculators depart with their hot money.
2048  Economy / Speculation / Re: I think Bottom is gone on: February 03, 2023, 09:16:58 PM
The market overall resembles a roller coaster, its almost like its designed to throw you from one extreme to another.   Or like a shark it has to keep moving in one direction or another, we are meeting old volume around 25k so I perceive resistance and presume down is possible in response.   Something we can bet on there will at least be a proper attempt to move the price down because we been ascending for a while without a large sell  and nothing is ever easy.   21k is the target for the downside I've heard recently and that seems entirely reasonable to me.
However there is a big but, in that the wider market is more bullish then I remember since perhaps last April when I thought it was surprisingly light in the middle of a war that would negatively effect most of the Europe.    Waves of negative action dont come together but when your back is turned it knocks you over with a sudden swell of unexpected news, could be anything but presumably inflation does cause harm to various order books.    Overall long term I remain bullish but only cautiously and expecting selloffs during any recovery of BTC.
OP could be correct of the bottom price being in but we have to say thats part of why we rose right now.   Thats a premise that market will test probably harshly sooner or later.
2049  Economy / Economics / Re: What do you think will happen if... on: February 02, 2023, 11:59:53 PM
Ultimately its the people not companies that matter most.  I think if large investors stay away we move slower but thats not a cap to progress ultimately only the pace will be slower, also consider that some operators can be a burden even obstructive and sometimes its better if we stick more organic growth then dollar rich investors.
People who want to invest, profit and sell all in a couple years aren't often half as productive as someone who is around for years to come in good and bad markets.  BTC always has its lull and sell off so thats the only person and operator who matters in the end, the long term involved and interested.
2050  Economy / Speculation / Re: YTD Bitcoin Chart Vibes on: February 02, 2023, 11:12:27 PM
This year is still work, no boom imo just a good amount of progress to recover some of the prices lost in 2022 would be fine enough I think.    BTC is doing well so far and even recently its continued upwards but its clear too that upward we are restricted by the volume of selling that occurred across the whole of the 20k range.   Around 25k seems to be pivotal, the closer we get the more it will bite into positivity until there is an open battle between bull and bear and I presume that means more volatility then we see right now.
BTC stays above the 2 day average so far, so retains very fast momentum but probably not for the whole of February some selling or attempt to sell off will occur most likely imo.

while bets on other sports are absent at the moment.

I bet and won on the Tennis recently so not really the case.  It might be only the larger events are listed but makes sense they go with the volume events.  I thought the odds were alright considering how often he has won at that event, surely the favorite to win listed anywhere.
The FUN price was more difficult this week as it very nearly crept over the line but with BTC pulling back a bit that was enough to hold it at the line for midnight.  BTC I didnt guess on massively, it could have been over 25k but not quite this time was too close to call especially.

2052  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC rise described as false bull on: February 01, 2023, 11:49:58 PM
Positive reaction to the weekly average again keeps the bullish story alive.    The larger issue is the resistance overhead to deal with but I dont think BTC can be called negative at this moment.

A trade I follow recently was commentating on another chart, I believe he said when 50 day rises above the 200 day it can be a moment of indecision.  In that this period is not especially tradable, we still have the 50 day below 200 so we might be approaching the uncertain area is how I interpret that.  It still doesnt make it a false bull, alot of price action good or bad is not always easy to read for now I have to view BTC as acting positively.  I believe over the rest of the year it wont all be clear weather but thats something to tackle as it happens.

double test, resolved up.   Possibly consider caution if we are not beating that recent prior high 23962
2053  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Too accessible of online casino grows addiction faster? on: January 31, 2023, 11:59:47 PM
Too much spare time is more of a reason then availability.   Think of all the drink available nearby in most parts of the country and its been tried as a ban plenty also, same as gambling it costs money to buy into but people drink too much as well.  The best thing anyone can do is dont be too lazt, have an objective or hobby to concentrate on as idle hands will do the most harm.
2054  Economy / Speculation / Re: January bitcoin price out look on: January 31, 2023, 11:44:58 PM
I did think over 25k was possible as a function of erratic movement or general BTC volatility which is rarely in short supply.   However in the previous days its been clear we've tailed off in this bull move and this was balanced when accounting for higher traffic in this area.  25k is a resistance area for possibly 3 or more reasons, such as the focus of long term averages but also Fibonacci levels for the wider scheme of any recovery to BTC.
2055  Economy / Speculation / Re: what now ? on: January 31, 2023, 07:51:04 PM
Trying to time the precise bottom price is a false perspective, you will make less money trying for perfection.  Better to regularly be involved in a positive price progression and also trade some of that, hopefully in time to avoid some of the negatives.  Overall most people wont have perfect aim, its arrogant to think so.

Higher price creates greater possible selling so the momentum of the trend must be maintained.   The question is not if we pullback but the quality of how we do so on every opportunity I think.   So right now BTC has some selling, its wavered some and then today recovered a bit also.

Here 1hr bars, the yellow line matters more its a slower weekly average and blue is faster movement.   I think we're in the orbit of FED news, that event having gravity to keep us here until market has resolution for its direction.   We can go higher of course but overall I think we explore all 20k prices.

Greenland is melting far faster than expected if it were to melt out in 15 years 10 percent of the worlds land with be under the sea.

Greenland is a worry for sure, but this is a reasonable concern.   The entire country is altering because of the disappearance of glaciers.   Some countries wont exist in a few years because of global sea levels being above the highest point on their island; Netherlands is famously an advanced modern nation facing great challenges in future from undeniable alterations to world weather etc.  These are reasonable concerns that are true so its not FUD as its mentioning the worst possible outcomes; to some this is prudent discussion to be aware of.

FUD to me is when people choose to mislead and lie especially in the short term.  People commonly call out the death of celebrities', possibly a company leader or in some cases sports figures (falsely) to alter the betting odds available just before a game.   This is not ethical, in a large extent it could be illegal in some cases.   Its  done in stock trading sometimes to provide spikes is liquidity for trading short positions and so on, this has led to jail terms I believe.
Some traders have defended their colleagues stating its commonplace part of the industry not a one of instance so is overly harsh punishment to jail(most instances left unprosecuted), these tactics, FUD or similar are just part of the game.  It will always happen but no its not acceptable practice, normally the people doing it will not use their true identity.
2057  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are there gambling games/sports that suits a particular gender the more? on: January 30, 2023, 11:39:49 PM
I argue Poker is more equal because the basic game isnt too complicated, success is largely about reading your opponents in some way.  Women and men can both be good or bad at reading people so thats the gambling game I'd say is pretty equal.   The main disqualifier is really self choice of whether you are really interested in poker or not, some people will only want to play in person I think and in this game that is very relevant.
2058  Economy / Economics / Re: CBDCs Cannot Save Weak Currencies on: January 30, 2023, 11:12:51 PM
Only one thing can really save a country's currency and its more related to balance of trade then anything else I think.  It helps if the government has a balanced fiscal plan and the underlying growth of the country is there such as demographic working age group expanding but same as alot of markets a demand which out weighs supply of that currency will lead to strength.      The rest of is window dressing, they might alter the liquidity, the monetary velocity possibly but base demand comes from a good set of trade deals and production by that country.
The reason USA has such a large advantage is every part of the world wants to hold that currency, its used far outside its borders as part of trade and the same can be true of every solid regularly trading economy I hope this is more true in future then now where politics and debt are too dominant.

Kamala is at 7.50.

Those are good odds if you think about it, that is literally the next in line should any reason at all be there for Biden not to run again and so thats a bet win I presume.

I keep saying that Trump would have a very hard time winning,

He is no longer the transformative candidate that he was when he first ran.   I cant remember anyone losing an election then winning later, its beyond living memory to do so.    He shouldnt get the nomination but might I suppose, if I was betting here (right now) I'd go for the man from Florida somehow making it on a long shot as a bet.
2060  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC rise described as false bull on: January 30, 2023, 07:35:58 PM
Ironically the longer a trend goes uninterrupted and untested the more false it might be in its dynamics.  A normal bullish trend continues with strength in its stride despite many wounds and swords stuck in its side thats why its called a bull it has an stoppable strength to its character.   To go only up can become quite suspect.   Right now we are not really at that point, its a very good rise by BTC standards mostly understandable by the amount of time and size movement we fell prior.
