Nice job @vegasguy, but Dude!!.....I was buying more as I could afford it. A little at a time, is how I have managed to scrape my way up the ladder. Of course, I received help along the way, as well, but was sorta enjoying the idiots who have been trying to low-ball the prices. I manged to grab a little more along the way. After your bright move, my porfolio is really picking up. Thanks much!! CapnBDL ![Cool](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cool.gif)

Is this the last (potential) block Friday before the next (potentially) absurd difficulty increase? ![Cry](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cry.gif) Yepp....the only way is up and I think latest next month Im out of the Block solving Game ![Cry](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cry.gif) I know the feeling!! I guess I am going to Captain that boat out of port. I will switch to solo for a month or less...and then jump ship with that too. Anchors away!! Good Luck to the next generation of miners! LOOOOL....go ahead, rent all you want, fact is, it really doesn't matter what you calculate your odds to be. Lady Luck hands it out in very strange ways. Sooo, Good Luck to All and all the spent BTC on rentals will surely be accepted with good intent and well wishes. "Comon, Daddy needs a kiss.... ". Just kidding folks. Can't believe we haven't hit yet. CapnBDL ![Cool](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cool.gif) Well, at current rental rates one is likely to get the money back anyway. Possibly profit, so it kinda makes sense. I guess this is what I don't understand. You need BTC to rent. If you are limited by the amount of BTC you have, then it limits the amount you can rent. It brings to mind the saying, "You gotta have money to make money." So, what if you are 'old', Daddy's money went to feed you, you spent your money on raising your children, and, low and behold, there is none left to play with. How do I rent more hash without the funds? And don't tell me American Express!! Horrible, vicious, cycle, huh? The only ones that made out are the young ones (life noobs) that don't give a crap about expenses to begin with. Life sux!! CapnBDL ![Cool](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cool.gif) If you want to gamble you need to have money, that's exactly what they are doing gambling. You could also be an early adopter that has plenty of BTC to do whatever you would like with. Oh...I was a VERY early adopter, just never lucky enough to hit that magic block. Even tho, I have been mining since 2010, I could never hit the one needed to keep me on top. And...at this stage...you only need one to keep you in the top half of the pool. I could be wrong there...but not far off, I think. If it were up to me, and as long as the electric bill got paid, a few $dollars in my pocket would make my day. "Comon, Daddy needs a kiss from....." "And an Avalon too." LOL CapnBDL ![Cool](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cool.gif)

The time is near for the next block to hit...I can only hope it's me. I am a gambling man, and at the craps table they holler, "Comon, Baby needs a new pair of shoes." Well...my kids are grown and gone so I am gonna yell, "Comon, Daddy needs a kiss from Gweneth Paltrow!" "And a new Avalon!" LOL!! Be still, old heart! Hi, I want to give a shout out to afaque and say THANKS!! I just looked at my workers today and noticed I had another worker for an added 1.25TH. I am guessing it is an S5 that you have pointed my way and it is extremely gracious of you to give my hash rate a bump. It is kano.is (& ck solo) pool miners and community members like you that make this the best place to mine in all of BTC!! Thank You very much afaque, CapnBDL ![Cool](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cool.gif) I know it's not much these days but I hope it helps out a little bit. Good luck! Always grateful & in awe when I see the people in the community helping out others, for the sake of just doing it. Now it appears an S7 (I'm guessing) has joined in. Ohhh, if I can only get lucky enough to hit that first block. Not long to go! You have to just love kano.is! Thanks to ALL the help!! CapnBDL ![Cool](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cool.gif)

WOW!! Hey, you guys can back it down a bit. OK? I did not intend to create some sort of English class, nor any kind of controversy. It was just a very simple statement. Hey all, I really need to get lucky and hit for that Avalon or I may be out of mining for BTC. My 2 little S3+'s just aren't paying the electric bill any longer. I hate to have to leave and can't afford to upgrade to an S7. Once those came on-line, my S3+'s became unprofitable to keep running. I will say, "It was a nice run while it lasted, and kano.is is the only place to be." Not sure what I will do yet, but 1TH is like mining for dust now. Thanks kano & ck, it has been an honor, CapnBDL ![Cool](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cool.gif) Which means just what it says. I am no longer paying the bills with just the 2xS3+ and to go higher is out of my reach. Heck, who knows, I may try my hand in the solo pool for a stint. There comes a time when the hobby costs outweight the pleasure, by continuing. Someone mentioned the S7 cost of ~2.4 BTC. Holy cow, I must be poor. I have never seen 2.4BTC in my wallet. One can only wish or hope. I will hang in for as long as possible, as I really love this pool, the OPs, and the people of this community. Keep mining and Good Luck to all for the Avalon. Have tried a couple of previous wallet versions to no avail. I am just gonna wait. How soon do you 'think' it may be until a beta can be tested?
Thanks!

What do you guys think about having a backup button to our server. Where you just click it once, and everyday it will send a backup to our server automatically, and will keep multiple copies of your wallet. Its actually safer than a cloud server as we dont actually have your funds, and your wallet will be encrypted or it should be. Just an idea. If many will use it, we will add it as an option for those that want it to turn it on. With this option we can make it add multiple wallet.dat files in your flycoin/roaming folder locally too or point it to an external device. Let me know if you want this. Vegas
I think an 'auto-backup' feature, similar to what TX and DASH wallets have would be an excellent idea. I am not sure if sending the info to a central server is too cool tho. That idea is best left to the individual to decide, and protecting our wallets is up to us, not Team FLY. You guys have enough going on without taking on another responsibility. Getting the no-fee withdraw wallet is being tough enough on your Team, but 'auto-backup' would be cool because so many of us forget to do that. Keep up with the ideas Team FLY, CapnBDL ![Cool](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cool.gif) I pretty much agree; also, if i understand wallets correctly, i only need to back up my wallet once... not every day, right? I mean if i create a backup on the day i install a new wallet, it is good forever, cuz the info is in the blockchain, my wallet just gives me access to it... ... so put a backup in my local "safe deposit box" and good to go, don't need to back it up like daily... I could install my old wallet, let it re-sync, and "voila", there's my current wallet again. Now, i hope that's all true, lol If not, i better get enlightened, cuz that's what I do! That is almost true. But that backup doesn't take into account things like you added a new address/es and such. So, personally, I backup once a month. Some ppl do more often, but, for sure, you would want to do a backup if you send coins out, to catch any new addresses your wallet may create with returned change, etc. Again, it is all up to you to protect yourself. The newer the backup, done to an off-line device (USBstick, Mem card, Another computer, etc), the better the chance of retrieving a lost full, up-to-date wallet.dat.

And I sit here with my 2 S3+s' and watch my returns go down. ![Cry](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cry.gif) Congrats to the owners of the new S7s', but DANG...it hurts! ![Shocked](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/shocked.gif) Oh well...carry on miners. ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) Hit what we can before the halving comes about. ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) The whole game changes then. CapnBDL ![Cool](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cool.gif) Im sure you know but... pool hash rate doesnt decrease the expected return. The increase in frequency of blocks makes up for the decrease % of each block He's probably referring to the difficulty increase that was brought on when the S7's hit the market. Yea...thx dreamer...I should have been a bit clearer with all the new ppl we have here. Notice; I did not call anyone a noob! LOL Mine the dream folks!! OK...did the addnode but now I get the runtime error (until I gave up after several attempts) crash. Maybe I will just wait for the new wallet. Glad to see DUB isn't dead tho. Let me know if you need a beta tester. I only have ~5k DUB, but it is enough to test with. CapnBDL ![Cool](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cool.gif)

So I sent 2 coins to everyone as my way of apologizing for 2 updates in such a short time. We did not send any to any team members , only community.
Thanks for understanding.

Thank you very much, that is extremely generous! Make all the updates you want, lol ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) +1...LOL! ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif)

HI, Anyone have real 'working' nodes to sync the wallet. I have been bringing my wallet on-line for days but it never connects. I would love to see DUB back as a viable coin, but if you can't get your wallet to sync, there is no sense in staking. I've got a couple of different versions of the DUB wallet and am currently using the 'Sound Cloud' edition. Thanks, CapnBDL ![Cool](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cool.gif)
