2041  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: May 08, 2018, 08:42:37 PM
I will say my enthusiasm for the Circle deal was somewhat dampened when I figured out you could not (yet?) deposit and withdraw.  But I am hoping that is on the roadmap... have heard rumors it is.
Cheesy
Otherwise what's the point of that addition! I don't like when things are announced but the actual product is not on the way. Sounds fishy in terms of price speculation before an inevitable...boom
2042  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-05-08] Billionaire Mike Novogratz Says ‘Bitcoin Core is BTC’ on: May 08, 2018, 08:38:39 PM
Without Bitcoin Roger Ver would be a nobody yet this is the way he treats the asset that made him a fortune. Let him live with his bcash
A 8 yrs old is probably less annoying than him at this point.

Berkshire Hathaway will come to Bad Endings, Says Cryptocurrency Community.

Well said! He's mostly afraid that the only asset that could go parabolic and overtake BRK.A evaluation is Bitcoin! Imagine the day Bitcoin will trade at those levels. That's going to be a priceless event

Roach, please, we got it. It's the Jews! Its' always been them. Can we please move along?
thanks

By the way, in today's world I believe the greatest store and value is my brain if I am able to keep it functioning. I can store whatever I want in it. Did anybody said passphrases?
2045  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-05-06] Azerbaijan to Tax Crypto Incomes and Profits on: May 07, 2018, 05:49:48 PM
Let's not be naive: it was perhaps inevitable that, sooner or later, we would be taxed when going back to fiat currency. I only hope that, one day, we won't need to exchange our coins for that fiat rubbish. But if you go back to fiat be prepared for the taxman
2046  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 07, 2018, 05:43:50 PM

God I feel so restless these days. I think I have to quit my job and finally be a full time bitcoiner: I'm tired of this shit! I guess if I wouldn't have had these monthly buying needs I would have been out already.
Beer...

Decentralization is one of the most, or the most, important foundational principles of Bitcoin
Bingo.
Lose that, and really you lose Bitcoin's reason to exist in the first place. A centralized Bitcoin will never be any better than PayPal wrt buying stuff. And a completely centralized digital Gold 2.0 is pretty meaningless as well.
Applause for both
2047  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 07, 2018, 02:35:06 PM
I feel like we had the umpteenth bull hangover. I feel dizzy: still sitting here at work doing crazy things while I should be out there in the world. They say good things come fot those who wait.
Come on Bitty, do something
2048  Bitcoin / Press / [2018-05-06]Bitcoin Price Gets Rejected at $10,000 but Uptrend Remains in Place on: May 07, 2018, 05:48:44 AM
Weekends are usually a bit of an awkward period for cryptocurrency trading. This weekend is no different, as all top cryptocurrencies are down for no apparent reason. It seems the Bitcoin price got rejected heavily at $10,000, although this will not be the last attempt to surpass that level.

2049  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 07, 2018, 05:43:27 AM
When Bitcoin will trade beyond these price levels we will easily forget all this non-sensical petty talk fight between Bitcoin and bcash. There's no spoon as there's no fight. I'm totally not afraid of the other project: I do believe Bitcoin was born in the right way while Bitcoin Cash was born as a con plan against all this. If roger, jihan and co. would have said: hey guys, we want a new bitcoin-like coin but we will be calling it differently nobody would have said anything.
But the way bcash was engineered smelt like false flag all the way.
I hate rules, but, this is the Bitcoin Wall Observer Thread. So please stick to it.
2050  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Main] Bitcore- BTX - SEGWIT - hybrid fork 1:0.5 of Bitcoin on: May 07, 2018, 05:28:28 AM
The more presence on the exchanges the better, that helps with liquidity. BTX needs some serious demand now. Being listed on big exchanges is very expensive but I think that if we all agree we could fund BTX approval on one of the top exchanges
2051  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 06, 2018, 10:03:51 AM
If this is the weekend stop I hope we do not lose the 9K Vegeta limit. We got a bit too enthusiastic yesterday and we must face the wall reality now. But those are not the problems of holders, right.
Up Bitcoin, UP

There is no Bitcoin alternative man, Bitcoin is a beast on its own. But, inside the deep crypto space coins like BTX have a say. What Boriss said is correct, now there's a roadmap, a growing community and hopefully a steady growth. If this sounds good for you welcome onboard
2053  Bitcoin / Press / [2018-05-05] How to Value Bitcoin and Invest in the Crypto Economy on: May 05, 2018, 09:32:15 AM
Unlike companies in the stock market, Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies don’t have cash flow, profits, or other conventional metrics analysts use to evaluate whether something is a good investment. But there are some traditional economic principles that can help determine whether it’s a good time to buy Bitcoin and its fellow digital assets.
Chris Burniske, the co-author of the book Cryptoassets, shares insights on applying such a valuation methodology on this week’s episode of “Balancing the Ledger.”

2055  Bitcoin / Press / [2018-05-05] Bitcoin is rallying and can no longer be dismissed on: May 05, 2018, 09:20:37 AM
My note: here come the MSM dragons, beware  Grin

Bitcoin is rallying and can no longer be ignored, said Brian Kelly, founder and CEO of BKCM LLC, an investment firm focused on digital currencies.
"It's a serious market," Kelly said from Hoover Institution's annual Monetary Policy Conference at Stanford University on Friday.
"When I would go to events like this in years past, you would kind of dismiss bitcoin," Kelly said on "Fast Money." "But it's been brought up several times at this conference and taken quite seriously. And I think you have to with a market cap at half a trillion dollars."

Ok I have been asked to change the thread's title to remove the word solved. Hopefully this is something that can be handled sooner than the previous problem.
Will stay tuned for updates.

Edit: updated OP

Wake my up when we are well above 10k, I'm tired and too old for this shit. Nothing below 10k deserves our attention and, for this important reason, let's go back to the cave.

Cryptic Writings

Good morning Bitcoinland.

Nice to see we're up a wee bit... currently $9420USD/$12105CAD (Bitcoinaverage).

It's been 5 days since we were over $9.5k and almost 2 months since we saw 5 digits.

Let's get 'er done.
I like your CAD dollar evaluation (anticipation) of what is going to happen for the n-time. Let's get back to the five digits for good. Am I right Jimbo?
Get your coffeee now

Oh, in case you missed it

2060  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: May 03, 2018, 03:09:27 PM
GBYTE wallet already on Maintenance status ("27-04-18 investigating Deposit issues"). Maybe and hopefully the problem will be sorted out after this investigation. Unlike in other exchanges, the deposit issue seems to occur frequently in Cryptopia, so imo it's better to make it the last option to use for GBYTE.
Do you know how long it takes for cryptopia to fix these kind of issues ?

Looking beyond something is fine, but one must focus on something that he already has.

I have also lost my bytes in the shitty Cryptopia exchange, so I highly recommend to stay away from this one.
In my experience, if you can not verify your account in Bittrex, cryptox.pl exchange might be a good substitution for the case of Byteball.
I deposited and withdrawned coins in the one without any issues.
How did you lost your byteball in cryptopia? I've deposited byteball in that exchange but unfortunately, it doesnt show in my accout. I opened a ticket and that's why byteball is under maintenance right now.

Oh no man, again Cryptopia having troubles with Byteball. What the hell! This time I must say I'm happy I got my funds out of it and I actually started using those trading bots we have in app. Better trade small and safe that having our funds locked.
Did you also have the same experience as I did? How long till they fixed the issue with byteball during your time?
See for yourself at the following link, I don't know if it's the same thing or not but this does not look good on their end

Their GBYTE wallet was under maintenance for ages
