What I would do look at the value of Bitcoin, and look at the trend, and try to see if it will continue to rise, or stay there, or even go back down. If it goes higher, I'll hold onto my coins. If it is stays still, I'll hold as well. When it starts to drop, I'll sell about half my coins and keep the rest, and see what happens next! Exciting if it rises to $1000+, if you ask me! (fingers crossed)

I mostly play sandbox games, such as Terraria and Minecraft. But I do play the occasional GTA as well. If it was mobile games, then strategy games: Clash, Boom Beach and King of Thieves. Well there's my list.

So, I tried to introduce my friend to Bitcoin. I explained to him how it was 'magic internet money' (that's exaggerated). Blah blah blah, skip to the part where I gave him an address. The first thing he told me was "Is this spam?" I was surprised! Anyways, he's using faucets and things like that to get some starting Bitcoin. I suggested making a Bitcointalk account, and join a sig campaign to earn more, but he said no. This was because he did not know much, and wanted to learn more. So he's researching more about Bitcoin and stuff. So yeah! Just one of the funny tales of when you introduce somebody to Bitcoin and something hilarious happens. (It was funny to me)

You should check out Malwarebyte's YouTube channel. The guy behind the channel records the scams (either via phone or TeamViewer or anything like that), and then deals with the scammers (such as turning the tables...). This is just funny to see the scammers getting trolled. Malwarebytes (on the site), has a list of scam phone numbers, which might come in handy one day. Check out the channel here: https://www.youtube.com/user/MalwarebytesVideos trolling scammers are always funny. Well, this is what I do when I have a feeling it's a scam call. Tell them to hold the phone so that I can finish whatever. They wait. And wait. And wait. Then they hang up.

777coin has great games, so I will recommend it to friends who like betting and things like that. Maybe it can used to introduce others to Bitcoin (if they like gambling)?

I don't know why I find this so funny. Maybe you'll find it just as funny as I did. Maybe you'll just go "meh". But anyways, I find it really funny. (Edit: Fixed Image Link)

In my opinion, I think Africa, because they have a lot of people without bank accounts, which is why Bitcoin will thrive there. There's also a lot more people with internet connections in Africa than in Australia, so it might have the advantage. Of course, Australia is a developed country, so it's got its advantages too. But I believe Africa has just that bit more for Bitcoin to be able to have a bigger success in the industry.

Maybe it's quiet because the rate of people leaving Bitcoin is increasing due to the decreasing value of Bitcoin? But I see a very active community here, so it's not quiet in my opinion.

I am overwhelmed by the amount of views and helpful replies posted in this thread so far! Thank you! Anyways, there seems to be a few members who suggested not to introduce people to Bitcoin. However, the majority have provided ways to introducing Bitcoin to friends and family. So this leaves me in sort of a predicament. I am not sure whether to introduce them to Bitcoin. Will it help the Bitcoin community and economy if there are more people using Bitcoin? Will it positively affect it or negatively affect it? I guess this is all about people's opinions, but I do like to know what people are thinking!

Buy altcoins.
Sell altcoins.
Repeat.
Avoid shitcoins like plague. Shitcoins are for greedy people. There is a 1% chance that shitcoins will double your investment. But don't forget the 99% chance of losing your investment completely. Interesting stats, contrary to most info out there, but kudos for creativity... I'll stick with making profit There will ALWAYS be altcoins and as a result there will ALWAYS be people trading them for profit. Altcoins seem risky, but what altcoin seems to be doing well right now? Most altcoins are pump and dumps or get rich schemes for their makers. I'd advise you stay away from them unless they have been doing well for a long period of time like Litecoins. I wonder what "doing well" means in this context. For that matter what does the OP mean by " earn Bitcoins"? What I mean by earning Bitcoins is to get Bitcoins without the need of 'spending' extra money. So something such as offering a server, or earning free BTC from faucets, or working for a signature campaign. I hope this clarifies it.

Satoshi might just be a potato, or even pecan pie for all we know... A potato is sort of yellow. A Bitcoin image is yellow. Any connection? He might be an alien, and left when he thought us humans could continue to develop Bitcoin.
