I'll just leave this here: ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fs16.postimg.org%2Fdx3pjb8ad%2FMain_Stages_in_a_Bubble.png&t=663&c=OlNW8LChQO71BQ) It is worth noting (even though I have been in and out of BTC lately): At some point in the next year or a bit later, maybe even in a few months, you are going to see one of Spain, Portugal, Italy, etc. go under (Banking system or a large part there of). When that happens (or as we approach it and it is obvious to some), you are going to see the BTC price explode. Absolutely explode. Your reaction will be like swimming in the ocean and seeing a 21ft Great White Shark nearby, but just far enough away for you to maybe make it. It will shock you and you will remember it forever. It will be a bubble though and it will correct, unless we have a wider systematic collapse. But, it will not correct fully down as many of the 12 million or so coins out there will be in strong hands. It will probably be an extrapolation of what we have already seen. So, we are all playing a game. Yeah, we don't want to get caught in BTC if it corrects again hard down. But we all know the times we are living in. If we were living in times of solid banking and not as corrupt governments, BTC would depend solely on it's low transactions fees, perhaps the darknet, etc. But we are living in times where Central banks (ECB) take 47.5% of your money in a bail-in and other countries are seeing that as a model. Good luck to you all, but lets not simplify things. It can go any way at any time. Be careful and don't lose sight of that and don't lose sight of what BTC represents. Enjoy the ride and don't forget that when the shit does hit the fan, It's about sharing Bitcoin’s Dystopian Future

Great thread - it's my experience as well that the bitcoin community at large has a higher level of intelligence, and most importantly, a better sense of awareness. Why? This is fringe community, it's not a place for the sheeple to congregate. To jump into something revolutionary and outside the norm, it either takes courage, anger, or smarts. Or all three. As a rule, those that dare to help create new systems for others to follow are smart enough to see the big picture, and to conceive of ways of doing things that improve upon what already exists. Bitcoin is a community of leaders, for the most part (at least for the time being), and those folks tend to take a high IQ with them as they lead the charge. It's one of my favorite aspects of this group - we think for ourselves, overall, and it's a beautiful thing. ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2FrfggZgU.png&t=663&c=2WzBgdoxrXcWSw) 'i'll suck yo dick' ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) Well, I didn't expect that one. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=242494.0

I have a feeling that tonight the buy wall at 101$ will get tested (the 103.15$ wall will be eaten). Lets hope it holds, if not we'll have a panic sale tomorrow morning, instead of the usual small whale buy.
bring it on

and again: nope
nope. simply because this silly simplified graph has proven itself to be wrong over and over again. at best, we are at the stage of takeoff or even before. and the rest is undecided. personally i think it is pretty good. speaking from my experience ![Roll Eyes](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif)

All very valid concerns. I think this idea is worth a (well executed) shot. Let's address *every* possible technical issue to a logical end in your theory this month before you undertake writing the source
I think I would prefer if these coins are destroyed via making 1exodus a blackhole by destroying every copy of the key, and for a separate fund to be created to support development, or vice versa. You can even send the coins back to the sending address if it turns out there's a flaw, and start over. Anyways, would this be more fair? why or why not. because if you spend bitcoins from 1exodus, the coins will get recirculated into the bitcoin ecosystem. i don't think this is good for establishing the value of MSC. Consider the fact that we have not had the luxury of two years' obsession poring over these ideas when answering our questions and concerns. The important thing is that we discuss these things through to a logical end.
But, all in all, this idea is too good to just let it not happen. We must make it happen.
If you already answered this, my apologies, though I'd appreciate a link to where you did or perhaps more clarification. I just want root reasoning for why this method and not anything else

I'll just leave this here: ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fs16.postimg.org%2Fdx3pjb8ad%2FMain_Stages_in_a_Bubble.png&t=663&c=OlNW8LChQO71BQ) We do appear to be at the 'return to normal' stage - however this is Bitcoin. I have some Bitcoin but still have plenty of USD on hand to buy more should the price start to move in either direction. I had the impression that we were back to normal when we were last at 130, so there's that

Looking down on this planet, you observe that all over the earth, smokestacks volcanos are pouring carbon dioxide and toxic chemicals into the air. There Mr. ManBearPig, I fixed it for you. ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) 'It' being your anti-industrial, neo-primitive, faith-based, anthropomorphisizing, scientifically illiterate fucktard BS. Isn't putting people down typical of people who are not intelligent? Yes. In one or more areas.

Not only has the gap between MtGox and Bitstamp increased to about $10 again, but the order book is starting to look like a mirror image. MtGox: ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fs10.postimg.org%2Fa1h94go2h%2Forderbook.png&t=663&c=4WzVoiCmpgCZfw) Bitstamp: ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fs9.postimg.org%2F607si1s1b%2Forderbook_1.png&t=663&c=Pl7wM8KJz8_jqw) It appears that Bitstamp is far more bearish than MtGox. This is surely a reflection on people trying to buy BTC to get out of MtGox? I suspect Bitstamp is leading the market now too, which makes me wonder whether the 95 support level is about to give way. or more people able to sell on Bitstamp? Conversely, the fear of selling on MtGox is what is keeping selling pressure suppressed there

Once you understand the risks, and have properly consolidated your coins in a single address in a PC wallet, you can purchase MasterCoins by sending your bitcoins to the Exodus Address, which is: 1EXoDusjGwvnjZUyKkxZ4UHEf77z6A5S4P Also, I'd be grateful if a few people could quote the Exodus Address on this thread, as that will make it less likely that someone will try to hack my account and change the address.

![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) yesssssss you're the man likehiro! qué marveloso mi amigo Perhaps less focused on looking like it's just about getting high and more on having a cocky "frontin" look. like with this sort of demeanor, yet at a more fitting and natural angle for such a picture ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2F25.media.tumblr.com%2Ftumblr_m72xyysODR1qmhggvo1_500.jpg&t=663&c=QOoa6R0tHI7Fyg) and perhaps have the two of them look somewhere of a tasteful mix (use your artistic intuition here! ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) ) between ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fworldredeye.com%2Fwp-content%2Fuploads%2Fmassupload%2F9052315-Brian-Garrett-%26-Juicy-J.jpg&t=663&c=hGJ2XerYP3KKWA) ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.sohh.com%2F5-reasons%2Fwp-content%2Fuploads%2F2013%2F06%2Ffeds-watching-shoot-1-500x500.jpg&t=663&c=kzjAkMQh8WA2KQ) the second picture is a bit too much with the hand gestures, but y'know, something along the lines of this

thank you, keep up this earth-shattering work ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) how will the private key for 1EXoDusjGwvnjZUyKkxZ4UHEf77z6A5S4P be secured? will it be the same private key for the BTC address i use to buy MSC I use to control those MSC? He controls this address. All funds go directly to him. That's seriously the only way to "make" mastercoin. Don't take it from me, read his proposal. That's seriously what he says. His reasoning? Because he deserves it. And he's said he wants 1 million dollars in Bitcoins before he actually quits his job to make the program. Who could fall for this scam? He's going to delete this post soon because he has deleted 30+ posts from this whole thread already. perhaps. i'm asking more questions in the mean time. == so, the coins that go to the exodus address are in control of you to be used to develop/bootstrap this project. what if you used those coins to resend them to the exodus address basically copying your coins? edit: nvm, we'll be able to watch you from creating more MSC. These delayed MasterCoins will ensure that we have plenty of motivation to increase the value of MasterCoins by completing the features desired by users. The reward will be structured so that we receive 50% of the reward by one year after the initial sale, 75% by a year later, 87.5% by a year later, and so on. how do you fairly decide who gets a piece of this pie
|

what is the most likely (or two most likely) things that will cause your plan to fail?
besides wallet stealing, and government telling you to stop development
