I have Ordered 16x L3+($462) with 1x 420 and 15x 350 coupons on 10 April. But few hours later, support told me that the order will be canceled due to coupons issues.(the coupons can only deduct no more than 50% of the product price). Then i re-order 12x L3+($462) again with 12x 200 coupons.
$462-$200=262 still sweet.
The coupons pay for the shipping. So you are still paying around $500 per unit after shipping and import fees (assuming you are here in the US) wrong 462+99=561-200 = 361 3% tax is 12 a unit so he paid 373 maybe 375 each. that would be 1 at a time since he ordered 12 shipping is 775 fedex to USA so 775 --------- shipping for 12 5544 --------- price for 12 6319 --------- pre coupon price 2400 --------- coupons 3919 --------- net for 12 or 326.58 each 3% customs could be .03 x 6319 = 189.57 highest add 15.82 to each one you get 342.40 .03 x 3919 = 117.57 lowest add 9.80 to each one you get 336.38 at 336 to 343 he did well these are perfect space heaters set them to freq 312 fans 24% you pull 690 watts hash at 410mh and not very loud I would say he scored.

yeah i have 5 + 1 six they all do 15.2 to 15.6 if you really look at the pcb they are similar to the s-9 but they are not s-9's I have firmware upgrade on two of them. -ck says there will be more firmware upgrades http://ckpool.org/#/minersAddress H/s 1h H/s 1d H/s 1w 1 1EcH7pHYTHLo3cbdXfkf6e6Zh5JzCPGumc_______1.82PH/s 1.82PH/s 2.4PH/s 2 36JMs8rogpizjkkp6eeKMmm3SLbSNo5H9V______2.55PH/s 1.9PH/s 1.16PH/s 3 3Kfi5ZKnm8BJmpaDGdbjawPXEwEJ7FAWkD_____300TH/s 301TH/s 158TH/s 4 1PiwEHgiTP4FgvNSgaPAp4ckgBR8Jd9JWw______133TH/s 91.7TH/s 20.7TH/s 5 3CPTksz4MWWFkbx9iqeHobuqXns5Zg8cQB_____123TH/s 93.8TH/s 22.2TH/s 6 3Dwc9kL3ghraPzMefbgNmPePDgreEJex7c______ 77.9TH/s 76.1TH/s 58.1TH/s 7 3HWbABbZj1pNWGE8njHNQqDfGC4c5ZMDnA____82TH/s 93.8TH/s 106TH/s 8 1GeniexG7MnLr9WH48jG1cPLqgGbqUsaFM______70.4TH/s 19.5TH/s 27.8TH/s 9 16yLHLoeyuCLPMXkVpC3gyrRYvwRGwjKJr_______55.4TH/s 192TH/s 40.4TH/s 10 35grB9KLe5e8LXcyd6eQmTb8RVRdsE2ipH_______45.2TH/s 48TH/s 53.2TH/s I am number nine I have 4 online Moderator's note: This post was edited by frodocooper to remove multiple nested quotes and unnecessary whitespace.

I had a couple of things collide in my mind last night.
Price of L3+ big drop - indicating a fairly high probability of a new Bitmain Scrypt miner soon. That video claiming to be from some Bitmain "F3 miner" - and the hashrate in the video.
I already commented a couple places about that video possibly NOT being for an Ethereum miner - but now I'm strongly suspecting it's from a new Bitmain 14/16nm node based SCRYPT miner.
1500 Mhash/s on Scrypt at probably somewhere in the 1000 watt range just makes SENSE for a new-node Bitmain miner to be released in probably 2-3 months.
well the s-7 was 28nm the s-9 is 16nm 4.7th at 1175watts 13.5th at 1375 watts or .2500 watts a gh to .1018 watts a gh huge improvement so l3 is 800watts/500mh 1.6 watts a mh for l3 so l5 is 800watt/1250mh .64 watts a mh that would be the same 2.5 to 1 improvement now innosilicon A6 is 1500watt/1230mh that is 1.22 watts a mh so all bitmain needs to do is pop a .80 watts a mh to 1000watt 1250mh to be fair dragon mint built a beast in the sia b52 amazing gear compared to other ones. maybe they do it with the ltc algo and make a .5 watt a mh 1000 watts and 2000mh

Looks good! I like the visual specific chain tracking. I'd like some specific tuning capability soon! It is a good graphic easy to see if things are working close to correct.
|
|
|
Tuning kicks in when the temperature is in the optimal range.
what is the optimal range number ? Miner Info # Hash Rate Status---Accepted/Rejected------ HW--- Temperature 1 5.25 TH/s Alive-------1027/0------------ 617--- 71 ℃ 2 5.27 TH/s Alive-------1107/0------------ 864--- 68 ℃ 3 5.15 TH/s Alive-------1028/0------------ 1215-- 69 ℃ these are the 3 temps for each board.

At least Canaan seems to have done tuning right. Per their info, each chip constantly is being tuned and tweaked for best performance so as conditions change so do the chips speed.
It is probably only partly true. They may tune the clock frequency synthesizer per each chip, but I think that the hashing core voltage is getting tuned in groups/strings/whatever is the actual limitation of their voltage regulators. Precisely correct. The user can set a global Vcore and from there the tuning mechanism changes chip freq to keep what in analog terms would be called the best S/N ratio. Somewhere in Canaan's docs they describe what is checked, along with temps as I recall it is a mix of tracking HW errors and/or invalids then adjusting freq to keep them within their boundary values. No matter what, it beats the hell out of doing a 1-time tuning run after bootup as Halong does. if you check my 4 dragon mint t1 miners at the solar array 1 board dropped http://ckpool.org/users/16yLHLoeyuCLPMXkVpC3gyrRYvwRGwjKJrworker .3 Most likely clock was too high. When the 5th one comes today I will bring it to the array and reboot that other one. so 4 should do 64th my 4 are doing "hashrate1m": "56.2T", "hashrate5m": "56.3T", "hashrate1hr": "55.9T", 1 board is off so that is 5.33th so 55.9 + 5.33 = 61.23 of 64 = 95.67% of spec hash assuming a reboot fixes the no hash board. they should do 4 x 1480 = 5920 watts so 64th = 61.23 th 5920 watts = 6480 btw this over watts is a pain for me as I have 30 amp pdu's and 4 of these are doing 28 amps which means 3 per pdu not 4 I have a fix 3 T1's and 1 L3+ pull 23 to 24 amps.

L3+ only $462 - $200 coupon. They must have a new more powerful model coming out??
Was thinking that myself. I have a couple $420 coupons was thinking of getting some of those for next to nothing. Only $220 or below coupons work for this batch of L3+. good to know I used a 200 and paid 462 + 99 = 561 - 200 = 361 Do you have any $200 coupons for sale ? I can give you a 100 for free. Thank you Phil - Used a coupon, worked out well. I think I ended up buying 11 of them but a little slower to start would have saved me some money. I paid about 800 or 850 on average for the 11. I like the clock to 312 the watts drop to 680 the fans are 24% Hi philip, whats your take on the L3+? Thats a lot, 11 pcs is more than a gamble. Aren't you afraid that they will be releasing a new model soon that will make your L3+s obsolete? I'm sure you've done the math but would you care to share your thoughts? buysolar and I are designing a solar mining setup. six 200 watt panels --------------- 10-20 year warranty special solar to psu gear to miner gear ----------- 5-7 year warranty L3+ ---------------------------------- more or less disposable. concept is simple pay one price never pay again L3+ uses 800-850 watts for 500mhs it uses 690 - watts for 400mhs and is quiet fans go to 25% at freq 312 the key to key price low is gear under 850 watts like the L3 if I do this with s9 avalon 841 T1 they all exceed 1200 watts. This type of setup can be on grid or off grid. Off grid is cheaper no permits just have space On gird costs more needs a permit

Ja. At least Canaan seems to have done tuning right. Per their info, each chip constantly is being tuned and tweaked for best performance so as conditions change so do the chips speed.
Heat sink design for maximum dissipation/smallest package and lowest noise is another puzzlement regarding the Halong miners and Bitmains. Once again, Canaan put some thought into it and did it right.
Since I was given the demos from MyRig total of 5x T1's and 1x B52 along with 6 psu's And buysolar and I will be involved with Canaan repair and upgrades on east coast of USA. We will be in a very good position to directly compare the gear and the service. Of both companies. Frankly I want to do business with both companies and continue to do so. I also want to be honest and transparent to bitcointalk.org community. I do not have enough info to say buy canaan don't buy bitmain or Halong dragonmint. I do have info info to say : First) Dragonmint T1 is real Second) Yoshi did do as he promised to do for me in fact he did better as he also sent psu's and the dragonmint b52 Third) The Dragonmint T1 is a bit short of spec Fourth) The Dragonmint b52 is a higher hashrate then spec and higher power use. Fifth) If the Dragonmint T1 did 17th at 1610 watts people would be happy Note 4 and 5 are kind of linked in my mind @ frodocooper please leave in number 4 + 5 as it shows that halong does make at least one miner at spec Moderator's note: This post was edited by frodocooper to remove a nested quote.

Gear seems to hash at 15.5 pulling 1625 watts I will be waiting for some firmware links.
It is not the
16.0 at 1480
I did get a b52 which has nothing to do with this thread. but it is from the same company
the b52 is doing
4.10 th spec is 3.83th
at 1500 watts spec is 1380 watts. that is good enough

tired shutting them off and going to sleep. I will bring them to solar array using different internet connection.
maybe they will speed up.
it is nice they do 15.5 or 15.6 th out of 16.0 spec that is about -3%
but 1610 to 1709 watts on four tests with different meters = not so nice.
I have some titanium psus I will trust them in a few days.
1610 watts with the 2400 watt plat delta and 15.6 th my best so far.
to be fair all tests were 2 hours maybe I need do 6hr or 12hr or 1 day test.
|
|
|
I am frustrated.
I do 15500 and 1650 watts
give or take 2 % on multiple units with multiple psus.
neither unit tested is at spec.
1650/15500 = 0.1064 1480/16000 = 0.0925
0.0925 x 1.08 = 0.09999 which means I am out of spec.
I will do more tests.
