These As I noticed it is not on how quick you deliver a news about crypto, delivering a message from one another is easy to do, what's hard is giving an essential insight with it what's possible and not possible with that stuff, that is what most likely a reader want and that is what mostly deserve a merit. Merit is same as worthy and quality so you better worthy and quality contents to receive merit.

Besides ranking up isn't the goal of meriting system, it is just the process of ranking up but the sole purpose of merit is to give quality to the forum.  Smiley
2062  Economy / Economics / Re: How long will it take banks to phase out physical cash completely? on: July 26, 2020, 07:48:53 PM
As we enter the digital realm due to the effects of COVID-19, the process of central banks phasing out physical cash from existence might take place soon. Before the outbreak, we've been accustomed in using credit/debit cards and contactless payments greatly eliminating the need for physical cash. Now that we're in a "COVID Era", things have accelerated quite a bit. Banks and governments are in talks of adopting CBDCs which could completely eliminate the need to pay for things with physical cash.

Now the real question is, how long will it take banks to start the transition from physical to digital cash (CBDC)? Do you think that physical cash will still be used right after governments adopt CBDCs in their entirety? Or will it take decades before every single person in the world stops transacting with physical cash, paving the way for a full-fledged cashless society? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Smiley
The global pandemic might speed up the process of digitization by a bit, but its still a long way for banks to disappear the physical cash currency completely. Many national banks across the world are onto the idea of launching their own “central bank digital currency” also know as CBDC. It will still take the government at least 5-7 years to eliminate the use of physical cash to a great extent.
I also believe that the pandemic helps the crypto in some way but don't get me wrong this pandemic isn't a blessing in any way. But I have to disagree, physical cash won't be out for the rest of our lives, world won't run to fully automatic that's the reason why we cannot live in a society with just a digital money, besides the digital money was not created to be a replacement, there are things that is more convenient when being used with cash. And the Central Bank Digital Currency, it does not mean that they will phase out the fiat, they won't do that obviously, but I still don't know much of this than just tokenization of asset and having digital cash.

2063  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Competitive price analysis!! on: July 26, 2020, 06:48:26 PM
Do technical analysis still good for trading basis? I mean the market is heavily unpredictable, do you guys still think that history analysis will do that much these days? There's nothing wrong with predicting but posting it to some platform might mislead each other, it might just give you the same grave at the end. And as for centralized coins? going with posted prediction on a popular news platform might be a bait, always remember centralized coins are made to do such money  Wink This is why bitcoin is on top, decentralized no one's in control, make prediction as much as you want but still the bitcoin market will stand on its own.
2064  Local / Pilipinas / Re: More online stores, less tax generated on: July 26, 2020, 04:02:51 PM
At yung pangungutang, nako paps hindi talaga natin maitatangi na karamihan sa atin ay ganun;
diskarte=utang

2065  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: sportsbet.io, do you allow the use of VPNs? on: July 26, 2020, 03:10:59 PM
Never use VPN even if it doesn't goes against their terms of service because most people often face issues like account got frozen due to multiple accounts like with the same IP which always occurs while you are using VPN.

This is the risk when you use VPN, there's chances that same people are also doing the same and with that the site system will detect that same
person are also using multiple accounts, better to play if you are really well knowledgeable with each rules inside the terms of the site.
Yeah better to play by the book, casino won't be too interested for who you are or where you at to dive and research about your IP so you don't to worry about them seeing your IP, that's like your log in a physical casino. There are casino who lets you use of VPN, but they are reminding of what the risks you can face in the future if you do it, and there are some casino (mostly) that does prohibit it to avoid any legal concerns.

There are some ways to buy dedicated IP for you so you can avoid most of the issues but still remember you are in the risk.

Risk can be lessen but there's still possibilities that problem may take place by using VPNs.
Thinking about it, it is very unusual for a two person to do the same thing on the internet with the same IP add they got from free applications, but it is not impossible. Prevention is better than cure!
2066  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: SCAM OR NOT? on: July 26, 2020, 02:36:26 PM
Can't describe your action with words mate, though your story is vague, you didn't even say what currency did you use, what's 500? what's 1000? you should have stated this clearly. Anyways I get it from point A to B, basic scam, you fell to a basic scam. Let's say this man just approached you in telegram since you did not tell who is this guy or where he first get in touched with you, you don't have to entertain him if you don't approach him first, you did not wonder where on earth he came from to reach at you?

I won't believe on this story unless being attached with proof, even the receipt for sending (?)500
2067  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dev and team, show some care on: July 25, 2020, 08:06:23 PM
Actually they care, but only at first when they need bounty hunters, after some time they will start ignoring your inquiries about the project development. I've experienced this a lot way back when I was bounty hunting about 2 years ago, whenever I ask something on their telegram channel they will ask you first if you are an investor or a bounty hunter, once they get to know where you belong they will transfer you to the bounty telegram channel with one UNRESPONSIVE administrator, his job? he will only post a monthly update. So I guess for now project reputation is a must for a bounty hunter, I bet you all lived with a year having less $100 on your address.
2068  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Vlogs on how to earn in Bitcointalk on: July 25, 2020, 07:46:42 PM
Parang give and take lang. Salamat in advance sa sasagot
2069  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Life soundtrack for Gamblers? on: July 25, 2020, 07:18:36 PM
You are going to get hit by copyright infringement real hard if you upload videos with those music/soundtracks unless you buy the license for it (quite expensive, though some indie composers might give it to you for cheap).
I bet you didn't read what the OP has just posted, how can you be copyrighted if you're just listening to music? I didn't know that their listeners are just limited for those who pay  Huh He's not making videos nor uploading with a random music on youtube, what he just did is that he shared the link from the youtube, how can you be a violator for that?

The best thing you can do is making your own soundtrack. Instrumental versions are easy to make or you can always hire someone to do it for you. Using your original soundtrack would actually be better for you since you will be attracting more people if your music is good!
For me nah, why make your own if you could just find? if you're not really a fan of creating music then you might just ruin your day after listening to your creation, it is easier to find soundtracks that is encouraging or exciting, that way it can boost your mood while playing. My soundtrack while playing is mostly EDM type of music, Skrillex and Marshmello I feel like their music is energizing me whenever I gamble.
2070  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: sportsbet.io, do you allow the use of VPNs? on: July 25, 2020, 05:57:58 PM
If you do try to read up their ToS. https://sportsbet.io/about/terms-and-conditions

Then you would able to find or read in 3. Registration and Opening of Your Member Account which you can able to play but be sure that your country doesnt really have any law
or restriction for its residents to get involved with gambling. This is why you should really be aware on possible risk.

Here in Australia many online gambling sites are blocked, or don't permit registration of their site - quite likely due to government registration restrictions.  I've been having a look around this week and they all pretty much say the same thing.
Maybe some are only restricted but not all, and sometimes it is casino that restricts the country. As far as I know Australia has been very good in taking online gambling platforms, as it is seen a good tax income for the government as well as leisure for their citizens. In fact there is a data in 2015 that shows Australian spending the highest money in gambling in 2015, 6.8 million people gambling in a country is a no joke of number of gambler, it is huge actually so I don't think that they government would like to restrict their people from having entertainment.
2071  Economy / Economics / Re: Yearly >Trendy< Crypto Markets, Is Crypto becoming like Tech Fashion? on: July 25, 2020, 04:32:36 PM
2019 was the year of IEO, I think.
I agree, there are lot of IEO proposal last year, but I notice that only few survived. Give the 2019 for the IEOs.

Not like technology fashion lol, I like it to be called innovation rather than a trend or fashion. And you're right old market might not come back as they were during 2017 or 2018 like ICOs, projects now have lesser chance to survive the competition in the market due to low reputation of new projects from old investors, although there might be a game changer for an ICO but I doubt old investors will still give it a shot. All of us should look forward to use defi in the future, a finance developed on top of blockchain network is what we dream and there it is.
2072  Other / Meta / Re: Thinking of a bitcointalk app. on: July 25, 2020, 03:48:43 PM
Yeah I've read the same idea before, just refer to the threads above given by @Lucius so you can read the discussion there.

Anyways, the idea is still up since we don't have that 'yet', as for @logfiles the new forum software is nearing completion, where'd you get this information?

And I'm sure if we got a mobile app for bitcointalk, it won't be used by the PC user, it is easier to browse read and post in a computer or laptop.
2073  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin replace Gold someday? on: July 25, 2020, 03:13:42 PM
Bitcoin and gold are already in a competition for a store of value these days, bitcoin has seen some significance after it reaches an astonishing all time high, gold on the other hand has been used for ages valuing its intrinsic composition as a metal. Will bitcoin replace gold? in my opinion, it wont, although bitcoin is pricy you can't compare it to gold there is no amount of bitcoin that you can compare with any amount of gold and that is because of the volatility. Among these two, even I'm bitcoiner I would still choose gold for securing my monetary value than bitcoin.
2074  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin ATM's in europe - ID limits on: July 25, 2020, 01:24:29 PM
If the information is really correct, then the limit without ID is really great - you can buy more than 1 BTC at once. What you need to pay attention to is the fee you will pay for buying or selling BTC on crypto ATM - they are usually the largest of all options. In this case, you pay a fixed fee of 4 EUR + 5.3%, which is of course only an approximate price, but 5% per 1 BTC is not a small amount.
This has been the very question of most people about the bitcoin, fees are high but why is it high? why use ATM when you could just use an exchange? and why they need ID for buying bitcoin because bitcoin in the first hand is decentralized? Does it mean they can track you on the chain? and 5% fee for 1bitcoin is very high, that amounts for like $100 who would buy at that rate on the ATMs?

There is an option in Croatia called BitcoinStore which is actually a physical exchange where you can buy/sell up to 2000 EUR per day without ID. According to the latest information, their fee is around 3% - but if you decide to visit them, be sure to find out more by contacting them via e-mail or social networks.
3% is still high just for me but I think its quite fair for a physical exchange. I didn't know about this physical exchange, thanks for bringing this up.
2075  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will gambling signature promoters still get the same rate on: July 24, 2020, 08:42:05 PM
It really depends on the project though, if they have a fix allocation for all the payment then probably they won't be adjusting it ( but it is their right to adjust those funds, it's theirs) but if they do then they'll do it in all fairness. Some are using a third party service to pay their participants, these campaigns are more like won't be touching anything, you get what you read in the first page. But most of the campaigns now are in fixed dollars right? they are just converting it to btc so there will be no hassle when sending the payment. My campaign is on dollar based payment, and they are paying me in my registered account in their website, it won't be affected if ever bitcoin rises.

2076  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Escrow is a must to avoid disappointment on: July 24, 2020, 07:48:49 PM
You guys should understand what is an ICO before demanding an escrow for the funds, that's why it is called an Initial Coin Offering, they are wanting an investors to get invested in them so the project will continue, if they did not get any enough that's the time they will terminate the project call for a closure. Now bounty hunters should know what they are dealing with, how will the team pay all of you if they don't get enough? So having an escrow is a big down for me, not suitable for bounty tokens. This is just applicable for weekly campaigns  Wink
2077  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Panahon Na Nga Ba Maging "Cashless Society" ang Pilipinas? on: July 24, 2020, 06:59:53 PM

Share ko lang yung palengke dito sa Valenzuela, pwede ka magbayad through paymay kase powered na ito ng paymaya you can just scan and pay so you can get 1 kilo of bangus hehe

2079  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's your favorite crypto for gambling? on: July 24, 2020, 05:57:40 PM
Agree to it, ETH is very fast, more reliable, and less expensive. That's the reason most of the online casinos are using ETH as payment because of the fast transaction.
Another reason why many user use ethereum in gambling may be due to fee. If you have a balance on a bitcoin wallet "not on exchange" then of course fee are not a problem. But if a gambler has to buy it in exchange and transfer it to a gambling site then there are a lot of costs involved. Exchange have different transaction fee and are usually higher than transaction fee from our own "not an exchange wallet" wallet.

For now, I tend to choose Ethereum and Litecoin to be used in gambling activities although I also like bitcoin.
Yes, that's what I'm talking about, using ETH is less expensive so there's no need to worry about the fees. So transferring money when you lost balance on the gambling platform is not a problem anymore. You wouldn't notice that there's a deduction on your wallet because it's too small.
I agree using eth can cause a lesser fees than having it with bitcoin but it's just a cents if we rely on the normal network of bitcoin, I mean not congested network for bitcoin. ETH is the best alternative for bitcoin coz it can handle a lot of transaction than bitcoin, eth network can't be easily be congested so the fees are low until the ETH goes wild. And just so you know, there are some transaction in bitcoin that didn't cost a fee, free transaction in short, so if you're gonna be a lucky guy you could experience this, one in a million chances.

So it's better to have balances of ETH and be ready in case of losing balance, BTC fee on exchanges is kinda expensive and it'll cost a lot, especially for those small gamblers.
My advice for small gamblers is to withdraw or deposit more often, if you know that you'll play again tomorrow don't withdraw yet so you can save a little amount of money, keep it for the next transaction.
2080  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to Protect Yourself from Fraudulent Bitcoin Giving on: July 24, 2020, 03:57:46 PM
Frauds are everywhere, they exists even offline but since we are in the online world it is inevitable process that many fall for that mischief acts and many people grab that easy quick money giveaways or double scheme just what happened in the latest incident that involved many famous accounts were hacked and were used to scam people in the internet specifically on twitter crypto community.
Scams are clicking because there are clickers, if all people will be as aware as a knowledgeable person then scams won't work anymore, even how hard the scammers will try. The main reason why online scams are still working is because of people who sees an opportunity in it without prior knowledge to it because they are blinded with the money as promised. Perfect example is the incident that happened in twitter, though it is an obvious scam a lot of people did fall for that one.

It's best always stay vigilant not to engage quickly on bogus giveaways and always asked second opinion to some friends that knows more about it. Importantly educate always on things that are not familiar and always not to click suspicious links.
Personally after learning in a while, I already quit hoping for an easy money online, I quit engaging with it even the airdrops.
