I applaud the stand that the DIY community is taking.... and I hope josh is taking notice, because unlike the bfl crowd, the chip using DIY people will nail your ass to the wall if your late
No more holding back preorders for over a year
2065  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: August 22, 2013, 04:45:02 AM
Hello terrahash

I was just wonderring if you have made any progress on finding some earlier avalon chip shipments.

2066  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Cointerra GoldStrike System Prices to be Released Soon! on: August 17, 2013, 02:53:40 PM
Well even though bfl and avalon screwed everyone over, at least they taught us all the valuable lesson of not trusting any frickin preorder bull

The only way to get real roi at this point is to invest if and when a product that is cheap and efficient comes out that will allow refunds and limited returns
2067  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Incoming Avalon News 8/9/2013 on: August 17, 2013, 01:55:36 AM
More chips?   When?
2068  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: August 16, 2013, 11:29:05 PM
terrahash already said they would open up some more pre assembled boards, if they can get more chips.

on a different note, I think the hash rate increase is gonna stabalize after we hit 150 mil difficulty.  Already you are seeing companies offering special deals because they cant sell anymore, and no one is gonna take a chance on a preorder after this.  so we are gonna see about 300-500 TH from gen 1 and 2 chips, then maybe another 5-6 hundred TH after that..... so with 150 GH you should still be seeing a return of .366 btc per day  at the end of this year or 10 a month.... maybe a 1:1 return in 9 months, and maybe even a 20% ROI by the end of the hardwares lifetime

of course this is just me being hopeful

130000 chips just sent out   Shocked
2070  Economy / Economics / Re: Is mt Gox processing your withdrawal or is this silence deafening? on: August 16, 2013, 05:11:48 PM
oh......

feel like a freight trained just crashed into my field of crickets

thanks
2071  Economy / Economics / Re: Is mt Gox processing your withdrawal or is this silence deafening? on: August 15, 2013, 09:09:10 PM
Hmmmm.... doesnt anyone have any insight, I am still hearing crickets
2072  Economy / Economics / Is mt Gox processing your withdrawal or is this silence deafening? on: August 15, 2013, 04:32:57 PM
I am curious....

the price difference is staggering, but i am no longer seeing the constant complaints about mt gox.

So either, people have gotten bored with the topic, or people are keeping silent while arbitraging a fortune.

2073  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL current state of affairs on: August 15, 2013, 02:54:23 AM
I know I was being a trill there.....
Sorry just had a bottle of wine and was just being beligerent due to frustration over the whole deal
2074  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL current state of affairs on: August 15, 2013, 02:51:42 AM
Dont take this to badly, but bfl customers prove how pathetic bitcoin mining characters are whille being back humped
Big bunch of hoto's
2075  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: August 14, 2013, 11:00:24 PM
And hopefully let us put in orders without preorderring

If terrahash opens to previous buyers first without this whole preorder deal I would be so impressed and remain a TH supporter for as long as I keep buying asics

Also I would promise to not call you more than once per order :p
2076  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: August 14, 2013, 09:27:06 PM
I sure hope gen 2 chips take a while...
2077  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: August 14, 2013, 03:03:51 AM
Im betting kooks needs a few cancelled orders to get batch 1 or he would have taken me up on the fifty percent deal
Btw if your so sure your gonna get screwed by TH why dont you take me up on my offer
2078  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Klondike - 16 chip ASIC Open Source Board - Preliminary on: August 13, 2013, 11:55:59 PM
Well 80 TH were from avalon batch 2 and 3 bfl has supposedly been back door selling its mini rig and the chinese are also making avalon chips.....
Though im bummed about my btc loss i still do not regret following the diy crowd
And I hope that we can make some roi next time
2079  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Butterfly labs did everything they could to make getting a refund impossible. on: August 13, 2013, 10:09:35 PM
I believe everything that is lower than 40MH/s per buck will not be able to / will take longer than 5 months to ROI in the soaring difficulty.
I just punch in the new difficult 50mil into http://www.bitcoinx.com/profit/ and key in the figures for jallies. Turn out that it will ROI in 58 days if your jally is 5GH/s and 47days if it's 7GH/s...
[/quote

...... I dont even know where to start...
At 100 bucks per gh there will be no roi at this point
At 50 you may break even if you have little or no energy cost
But probably not...
Dont buy preorders
Wait for the exponential difficulty increase to level off then buy when btc prices catch up
When you can buy a jally for .1 btc it may be worth it again
2080  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Incoming Avalon News 8/9/2013 on: August 13, 2013, 09:53:37 PM
Well at 250 mil I dont see any asics that will be making much roi unless the price of btc follows difficulty
So we get two more months of asic investing and preorders until sifficulty starts to level off or btc prices skyrocket....
Either way I wish I would have just held my btc
