2062  Other / Off-topic / Re: Post Your Computer Specs on: April 28, 2014, 08:59:51 AM
My new computer:

Commodore 64
Processor: 1.023MHz
Memory: 64kb RAM
Display output: 320x200, 16 colours
Weight: 1.8kg

I find it funny because someone might actually buy it for the nostalgia XD

it's a collector's item now - probably sells for thousands. people buy a lot of overpriced shit just for the sake of it, doesn't surprise me at all. it's like someone buying a van gogh painting for 1 million.
Actually, I just searched for it on eBay and it seems it's being sold at very cheap prices.
2063  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: BTCRock - 345 satoshi guaranteed, unlim multiply ∞ on: April 28, 2014, 08:01:59 AM
Just received payment. Thanks a lot!
I found a problem: if I leave the page open, and I try to play again (using the captcha) after the waiting time, I get a blank page. I have to reload the page, and it will then ask me to login again.

They're processing payments with BitPay. Maybe they still have something in their account there?
Also, their site is hosted by http://www.inmotionhosting.com/
2065  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Digimetals.com is a SCAM! on: April 28, 2014, 06:27:00 AM
If they use BitPay as their site claims, you should definitely contact them. Maybe they've already withdrawn the money - but they need to stop processing Bitcoins for them.
Were you redirected to BitPay?

Also, try moving this to the Scam Accusations forum https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=83.0
2066  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [ANN] DailyFreeBits.com - Your most generous Bitcoin Faucet! Amazing Earnings on: April 28, 2014, 03:09:22 AM
when i submit my address, it says SQL error: User ahmedjadoon already has more than 'max_user_connections' active connections
what happened?  Huh
That means there's too many people requesting a payment at the same time Smiley (basically)
2067  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: StuffCoins.com - Clean out your closet for btc! on: April 28, 2014, 03:07:56 AM
Hi there. I have emailed you several times about claiming my doge balance from stuffcoins. I sold my item well over a week ago, and haven't received payment to my wallet after 7 days. You state 5 days is the maximum for payment. I would appreciate a response of some kind. I have over 14k doge waiting that I cannot do anything with while it is sitting on your site. I appreciate your hard work, but when you don't respond and don't follow your own guidelines, it makes your site look shady.  username: vacation_money

EDIT: I never received any correspondence of any kind from the site owner. However, I did receive my Dogecoin withdrawal on 4/27. Think I will discontinue use of the site. Bummer.
Indeed. It looked like a great idea, but it has no sense to use it if it has so many problems.
2068  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [ANN] CoinByCall.com - Get paid in BTC for listening radio over the phone on: April 28, 2014, 02:34:05 AM
Almost 7 hrs calls i made did not pay me!!! What is going on?
Calls don't always appear within hours - but they always (as far as I know) end up syncing them with the website.
2069  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Bitrule.com launches. Free SMS & Alerts, Stop-Loss and Buy-Stop Services. on: April 28, 2014, 01:27:46 AM
Bitrule is currently a Free Service and does not charge any commission or subscription. This is not going to change in the near future. Our biz model is a negligible commission on activated trade rules to cover site maintenance expenses, but this is dependent on growth and will not be happening in the near or medium future.
Will we be able to pay you directly for your fees, instead of allowing withdrawal access to the API? (when you start charging fees)
This is a very interesting service, and if we can deposit Bitcoins so that the fees are paid using them, it will be great. Also, things like SMS notification if balance goes below a limit (so orders don't stop being created), etc. would be awesome.
2070  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Anyone need custom mining gear built? on: April 28, 2014, 01:17:05 AM
Do you need bulk orders or do you accept an order of just one?
2071  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How safe is it to invest in just-dice on: April 28, 2014, 12:58:20 AM
I investigated as well.  Site and owner seem very legit.  I wonder where the site and server and owner are located, in terms of if they're in the US, that could be a risk.  Otherwise the principle could go up and down but should go up given enough time.
It's a .com domain - that means it's managed by a US company. (I'm talking about who manages the .com zone, not the site itself)
The Registrar is in the US as well.
Regarding hosting, they're using cloudflare (which is in the US), but I don't know where their server is physically located.
2072  Economy / Gambling / Re: SATOSHIGEM.COM | Real-time puzzle multiplayer | 10000% JACKPOTS | LARGE BETS on: April 28, 2014, 12:53:36 AM
I like the gameplay but I think it could be more streamlined and easier to move. You don't actually make moves. You make half moves and it finishes the moves for you. I would like to make my own moves!

In fact, it's possible to change this mechanism. What do you think about guys? Smiley
I think it would work better that way - when I tried it, sometimes I had to make a move several times until the site accepted it.
2073  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Someone reported to police about a bitcoin conference in China on: April 28, 2014, 12:49:07 AM
I think the Bitcoin marketing strategy in China needs to change. We need to be convincing people that its primary value is a long-term investment and a hedge against inflation or financial crisis, not as a short-term speculative instrument.

That is a really good idea.
Let's get started: Does anyone know how to write Chinese and want to help spread the word?
There are many Chinese bitcointalk members. I think many of them would like this idea.
2074  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you agree with this? USD, Not Bitcoin, Is The Next Digital Currency on: April 28, 2014, 12:46:32 AM
Electronic USD (through Google, Paypal and Facebook) will be tough competition for BTC.
We have the advantage of a limited supply, and that is a really big deal.

As soon as they make a frictionless way to send USD over the internet, it will be added to the cryptocurrency exchanges like cryptsy.com resulting in just an easier way to switch back and forth between currencies quickly. The USD will stop have the problem of an unlimited supply of them.

This will only help Bitcoin.
Or it will be regulated and prevented to be used in those kind of sites.
2075  Economy / Services / Re: [WTS] Method to get ~0.04 BTC every day. on: April 28, 2014, 12:44:45 AM
This post is actually giving me the giggles Smiley I wonder how long it will go on for...
I don't think this is ever going to get sold. OP is not accepting standard escrow terms... (he said the coins would be released on method delivery- not after checking it works)

I'd like to say that this actually makes me feel better about the state of humanity, or the state of bitcoin folks, or both.  We'll see if you're right in the end.
Do you mean, the fact that I don't think this is ever going to get sold? Well, a scam not happening would be awesome news indeed.

Actually no one seems to be willing to risk (even if they think it might not be a scam), so I don't think OP will get any sales.
2076  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: SatoshiGrid.com - FIND THE SECRET SPOT AND WIN BTC! FREE CHANCE TO WIN 0.1 BTC on: April 28, 2014, 12:17:18 AM
i could see this being alot of fun but with so many squares it just seems to unlikley to me to actually make any profit. But all in all a fun way to spend some BTC. Nice site.
That's why I asked about the chances, and if the only prize is the 0.1 BTC.

Did you inherit it from a wealthy Nigerian Prince?

That made me laugh. I always used to laugh at that one scam.
Actually, I also thought this thread would be a joke regarding a Nigerian scam before reading it Smiley
2079  Economy / Gambling / Re: Free Welcome Bonus for New Customers !!! on: April 27, 2014, 11:12:33 PM
* YOU CAN WIN UP TO $100,000.00 IN BTC
Do you have insurance for that prize? Or do you own $100k in BTC?
2080  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Bitrule.com launches. Free SMS & Alerts, Stop-Loss and Buy-Stop Services. on: April 27, 2014, 11:02:31 PM
We run a price check across the exchanges that completes every 25-30 seconds.
Are free SMS available worldwide or just for US numbers?
