GBYTE wallet already on Maintenance status ("27-04-18 investigating Deposit issues"). Maybe and hopefully the problem will be sorted out after this investigation. Unlike in other exchanges, the deposit issue seems to occur frequently in Cryptopia, so imo it's better to make it the last option to use for GBYTE. Do you know how long it takes for cryptopia to fix these kind of issues ? Looking beyond something is fine, but one must focus on something that he already has.
I have also lost my bytes in the shitty Cryptopia exchange, so I highly recommend to stay away from this one. In my experience, if you can not verify your account in Bittrex, cryptox.pl exchange might be a good substitution for the case of Byteball. I deposited and withdrawned coins in the one without any issues. How did you lost your byteball in cryptopia? I've deposited byteball in that exchange but unfortunately, it doesnt show in my accout. I opened a ticket and that's why byteball is under maintenance right now. Oh no man, again Cryptopia having troubles with Byteball. What the hell! This time I must say I'm happy I got my funds out of it and I actually started using those trading bots we have in app. Better trade small and safe that having our funds locked.

I have a dream... ...that Bitcore will overtake BCash on the top 10 coin market cap! If that will happen I'll be a very happy guy. And we could have a huge party ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif)

Exactly. I have noticed this several times. Presumably this is one of the many reasons why most governments have not very well classified what Bitcoin is up to now. But you know, being that they are in power, they can always make a classification as to what Bitcoin is, along with all other cryptocurrencies. It is just that to me Bitcoin seems like a combination of all those types of investments due to its general makeup- price, characteristics, features, selling point, among others. And if you look closely, you can say it can be classified as an asset rather than a payment system to which it purports to be. It is truly confusing but what is making things worse is the fact that most governments shun away from Bitcoin by not categorically defining it nor outrightly banning it. Seems to me they are just being lax about it like as if nothing is supposed to be a problem.
Bitcoin is a beast on its own and therefore it cannot be classified. It's everything and nothing at the same time: remember bitcoin don't exist, they are simple entries in a ledger. We control keys not bitcoins. And so on...

Bitcoin is having a well deserved break and all of you must be aware of that. Do you remember those days in which every new day there was a new ATH? Let the Badger rest and he will take care about the rest. zzz...zzz...zzz

The ecosystem around bitcoin is still changing, but U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission Chairman J. Christopher Giancarlo said the popular cryptocurrency is part currency, part security and part digital coin. "Bitcoin and a lot of its other virtual currency counterparts really have elements of all of the different asset classes, whether they're meeting payment, whether it's a long-term asset," Giancarlo told CNBC on "Fast Money" Monday, live from the annual Milken Conference in Los Angeles. Following a heated backlash and some legal threats, Bitcoin Cash (BCH) proponent Bitcoin.com has updated its block explorer page to remove any language suggesting that BCH is the real Bitcoin (BTC). Bitcoin.com (not to be mistaken with Bitcoin.org which is dedicated to the development of BTC) came under fire from the cryptocurrency community after it recently made confusing changes to its website, labelling BTC as “Bitcoin Core” and BCH – simply as “Bitcoin.” Read more https://thenextweb.com/hardfork/2018/05/01/roger-ver-bitcoin-cash-btc-bch/

The best trait of Bitcoin is that we don't fu**ing know who Satoshi is. Not having a leader is a good thing because not having a leader in this field tends the best minds to compete and cooperate to make bitcoin the best crypto project. This is going to be a long war against the state which will never give up on the fact that something like bitcoin can exist

Now we would require an exchange with good liquiditty to list Bitcore! Today, to be listed it's necessary to pay a fee to the exchange: I wouldn't mind to pay a few BTX for this. Would you do the same?

Let's hope this is not the end but another beginning! I have never said thanks but I will say it clearly now because this has been one of the most successful airdrops ever organized in the crypto world. Now the market will react badly but hopefully this will soon recover. Enjoy the ride all of you

Bitcoin gained just 0.69% on Sunday, following Saturday’s 4.74% rally, to end the day at $9,409.4. The weekend’s positive moves saw Bitcoin log a 7.03% rise for the week, Monday through Friday, trailing Bitcoin Cash by quite a margin. An early morning intraday high $9,565.1 saw Bitcoin fall short of the day’s first major resistance level of $9,645.27, bucking the trend among the other majors, with Bitcoin continuing its struggle to move through to $10,000 levels. Bitcoin saw a pullback through the morning to a day low $9,180, with Bitcoin managing to avoid falling back through to sub-$9,000 levels for the first time since Tuesday. Most people love gold. It is simply an emotional commodity where there is a deep-seated allure and lust. Gold used to be money and it was great money for its times. It was one of the few resistant, standardizable, rare things that was any good for storing value. In a primitive world gold is great as currency; its only drawback being its high value. That was where silver and copper stepped in and filled the gap. However, it wasn’t long before paper and credit took over from metals and a promise even when it hasn’t been as good as gold has ruled money as the main source of wealth and transaction far back into history. Too calm down here, shall we expect some storm soon? Talking about exposure I'm personally heavily invested in BTC (but paid very little from my pockets to be in such a position, mostly mining from the past). I do not wish to diversify much: this is a one timer. I will never have another opportunity like this one

I don't want history repeating itself, I rather want history in the making when I will witness Bitcoin reaching new highs. Why should I stick to history? To remember Willy? Come on, move on

Is it real or not? ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) The Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis has provided some high-profile validation for a core premise of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency. A blog post this week based on an earlier Fed research paper said that “bitcoin units have no intrinsic value” – but added that currencies “such as the U.S. dollar, the euro, and the Swiss france . . . have no intrinsic value either.” Read more http://fortune.com/2018/04/28/st-louis-federal-reserve-says-bitcoin-is-like-regular-currency/

Not to sound stupid, but how does Google determine that the person using their search engine is Male or Female? I know they have some pretty good algorithms to determine certain characteristics and browsing habits, but can they also determine the sex of the person using their browser or do they use pre-configured data <Which might be fictitious> to get this data?
Yes, I do not doubt for one moment that women needs to use Bitcoin more, but how accurate are Google's statistics?
Most of the people use Google accounts: 99% they wrote their true gender when signing up. If they never turn off their google account while googling then they are basically giving away their demographics to Big g. Easy

Yes, it makes no sense. IMHO it is one of the best Android wallets available but without segwit is going to be useless in a few months (and I don't even want to talk about a possible LN implementation)

Step foot inside a Bitcoin mine, and the first thing you’ll probably notice is the temperature. Depending on what part of the facility you’re standing in, it’ll either be baking hot or freezing cold. In our case, it was the latter. After descending down a very utilitarian plywood staircase and making our way through a series of locked doors, we emerged in a concrete-floored room where you could see your breath. This was partially because it was winter in Northern Washington state and therefore naturally cold, and partially because there was a giant cooling system blasting frigid air at us from across the room. Bitcoin is having a pretty good week—rising more than 11% and breaking above $9,000 for the first time in more than a month. But for Bitcoin’s price to really take off, there’s a missing part of the equation that may hold the key. While Bitcoin surged last year along with other cryptocurrencies, much of that more than 20-fold rise was driven by men. One analysis of Google searches found that 95% of people Googling “Bitcoin” were male, while only 5% were female. The trend seems to carry across to other cryptocurrencies such as Ethereum: According to another recent survey, just 4% of Ethereum traders are women.
