2061  Other / Off-topic / Re: Your money on: May 27, 2023, 11:19:38 PM
Even the head cannot save money, a person can have a memory loss and forget about all they used to know. If their hippocampus gets affected, they'll have to start afresh to learn again. Few things on earth are guaranteed, saving a wealth isn't guaranteed. Wealth can disappear, stolen or forgotten. I could remember how embarrassed I felt the day I forgot my password; my brain failed me. I used this example because unlocking my device is something I do more than 10 times a day. So, people should hold their money in ways they think works for them. Because we have different destinies.
2062  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin or banking investment? on: May 27, 2023, 11:01:37 PM
Banking investment is compound interest and it's not an investment to be compared to bitcoin. Bitcoin is a general contribution of money by different people all over the world. The higher the number of holders and trading increases the price reflects to the trend and vice versa. While compound interest has to do with how much you invested into the bank. Another person's investment can not affect your investment; you earn nothing from someone else's investment. In bitcoin we all gain profits if someone purchases bitcoin. The value of bitcoin increases and fiat buying power is drastically falling. I'll choose both bitcoin and bank, but won't go for banking investment; compound interest.
2063  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What happens to altcoins ? on: May 27, 2023, 10:52:43 PM
Only few buyers hold altcoins for long term profits, they don't trust the process. Unlike bitcoin, buyers can hold continuously not minding the market situation. Some altcoins can go down to zero from $15 during a bear market. So, investors find it difficult to throw in money into such coins. Hence, coins like litecoin is holding tight during this market down trend and increases alongside the bitcoin price. Other new coins with lesser market cap may not survive like the older and experienced coins; encountered multiple market changes. Bulk buying altcoins and holding them is very risky.
2064  Other / Meta / Re: Crimes of signatures campaign affects forum? on: May 27, 2023, 10:38:39 PM
I observed that it affects the member, reading people's responses. Meaning that every internet advertiser should be held responsible, if any project they promote commits any crime. It'll reduce scam projects on the internet, but how can people predict the future. A business that started up fine and legit can turn a scam business later. Members here frown at promoting any crime business, any found guilty will come to a hurt. Or, reported, if they don't stop promoting the project and exposed to everyone's notice that such a project is scam. Since we are not direct employees of the projects promoted here, no relationship exist between us, the company won't be affected if you commit a crime too.
2065  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Interesting Bitcoin Members Business Opportunity on: May 27, 2023, 10:25:42 PM

I'm curious how you came up with that idea of a name though.

Considering it's a two word domain, he is lucky to get such a brand able domain name, and such names are always hard to find. However, they're still good bitcoin related names left; not yet registered. Ideas always arrive, when looking for a domain name. Though sites like nameboy.com facilitates the search hassle these days. I'd suggest that Op don't sell it now, the name would increase in value. A buyer that needs or searched for a name will pay higher. Tried checking the estibot worth of the domain, but the site is not opening on my end. Hence, it's not always the actual worth, a name can sell higher than its estibot depending on the selling technique of the owner.
2066  Economy / Economics / Re: Would you consider moving abroad? on: May 27, 2023, 09:53:19 PM
I prefer moving abroad to have better life, but the fund necessary for all the needs isn't available at the moment. First of all it is must to complete all the debts and further make plans on moving to a new country. These days the process, language test eligibility are given much importance. Not everyone comes back successful after getting a job abroad. The good thing is people using the resources and the earnings in the right way and profiting out of it. In the past moving abroad doesn't involve big process, now the process involved itself huge and takes lot of time.
Tier 1 countries provide great opportunities to immigrants, but not everyone is meant to succeed in a different country. What could be the reason is because of the discipline of such people; the person's standard of living in his home country. It's always difficult for adults to adapt completely to a new, fresh and different location. Such people may find it difficult to strongly pursue the goal in their mind, as they'll feel like its impossible to start afresh. Life is made differently for each person, so failure is everywhere. No need to see the new location as a place where money grows on trees. The essence of traveling is to change environment and lean new culture; language, dressing, behavior. It improves the brain.
2067  Economy / Economics / Re: For whoever has, to him more will be given, and he will have abundance on: May 26, 2023, 06:18:10 PM
Taking it from a cryptocurrency point of view, bitcoin is already big in market capitalization and more people still put in money into it, while some altcoins are seeing massive decline of investors. The advise all over the market is to invest on coins that have proven to be profitable on the long run. Similar to what is happening in other businesses. Elon's businesses would bring profits to the investors that's why they're contributing more money into the project and he's building fresh technologies that has been rampant in the tech world. So, it's sure that it'll progress and succeeds, these investors take calculated risks and don't love throwing money on businesses that doesn't guarantee profits.
2068  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Come and let me teach you how to get rich quick on: May 26, 2023, 06:09:25 PM
On the contrary, successful people are always willing to teach, but you'll have to ask them first. That's the difference with those that hit up people on telegram or other social media platforms claiming that their ebook contains a trick that'll teach people how to make 1k dollars a week. In a sense the ebook is the trick, nothing to learn in there. Intelligent people would ask why they are selling the cow, the seller already cooked up a delicious response for questions like that writing the book. However, some successful people have the time to teach people in their niche to learn how they could climb. Especially in a social media era where top players in every industry has a platform where they publish free tips for their followers. In a way, no knowledge is a waste.
2069  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Let's Make Children's Day Memorable with Bitcoin any suggestions? on: May 26, 2023, 06:01:00 PM
All you need to do to make things interesting for the kids aside buying them gifts, you could get somebody to wear a bitcoin custom that looks funny and dance in the presence of kids, maybe in the mall or amusement park. I was thinking of a means to make it memorable for the kids around me, and concluded that I'll watch them perform in the amusement park or playgrounds with their parents. Hopefully, some kids who are my friends can stop by and greet me too, definitely they'll get a reward for that, it's their day.
2070  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A good way to help our children. on: May 26, 2023, 10:17:59 AM
Watching today's children, I regret seeing only that the biggest interest in their lives is money. All questions are only about how much this game console or phone cost and what I can do to get my parents to give me money. Children lose their childhood; they don't watch the world, they don't appreciate flowers, they don't like animals, and they don't read books. Society is turning into degenerates. Do I want my children to know before their age about Bitcoins, which can later make them rich? I will answer no.
I want them to have fairy tales now, kind cartoons, and not hatred between races and peoples, as it is popularized today. Let Bitcoin come at a time when my child will have a clear understanding of what is good and what is bad, what conscience, honor, and morality mean so that in the pursuit of money, they do not inadvertently lose their human face.

In a world where both parents go out to work, that's what we have to expect. Who takes care of the kids? daycare, teachers and nannies. This has changed the emotional intelligence of the kids not to appreciate nature and enjoy their childhood. Parents work over time to get enough money to meet up with their children's needs. The society is expected to degenerate, a home alone child would go out to meet other kids like him, they'll go to places around the neighborhood, and their parents can't account for the activities of the children. Teaching a child about bitcoin is of less importance, because they won't consider it as anything, until their adult age. You can start teaching them the basics of cryptography and blockchain technology. Tell them stories that has to do with codes, cryptography, and deciphering. It'll build them up to have interest in codes when they grow up. Dan Brown's books would help them.
2071  Economy / Economics / Re: Why you should use spare money to invest on: May 24, 2023, 05:53:14 PM
To play safe we must invest our spare cash, but if a person is accurate enough to observe the market and realize that it'll pump to a certain amount and yeild them profits they can invest more than their spare cash and wait for results. Though, it's risky but the higher the stake the bigger the profit, thats what ww should consider as well. Hence, the person that took the most risk will profit or loss more than the person who invested just his spare cash.
2072  Other / Meta / Re: Thread banners (SMF idea) on: May 24, 2023, 04:23:58 PM
The idea is clear and sound, but the point is, the thread could be hard to find, the current method of updating members helps to bump the signature thread to first page where members can easily click on the last page number and read the new update. If you implement such a feature, the manager will as well update their weekly payment ID there. So in a situation where the thread is on the no.3 page how would people get notified that there is a new update, unless the manager “bumps" the thread which is similar to what is happening now.
2073  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't be fool to keep it online, look my name on: May 24, 2023, 03:32:11 PM
It's all good to say that we need to be careful with our funds, but I just understood that you can't be always careful with cryptocurrency. Some people see open source wallets as the best, but we have to wait months for a developer to make a new update before we can download, just to be sure, especially for non developers. Hardware wallets also pose some vulnerabilities, the chips they use in building them can be compromised by hackers or even when a person gains access to the hardware they can take your funds. These are vulnerabilities in the cryptocurrency niche, but in all means keeping our keys is a good practice but avoiding exchanges as a way of keeping bitcoin doesn't absent us entirely from risks of losing money.
2074  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Happy to start bitcoin lifestyle. on: May 23, 2023, 06:37:38 PM
In a simple term, bitcoin lifestyle can be the use case of bitcoin, how people use bitcoin to solve their problems. Bitcoin has changed the way internet payment was in the past, and it also provided a room for investment, but it shouldn't be taken as the only possible investment. If you want to live the bitcoin lifestyle start doing something that'll help the growth of bitcoin or solve problem for bitcoin users, such as offering your skills and getting rewarded with bitcoin. Hence you must hold for longer period to be able to take the opportunity to another level; gaining more profits.
2075  Economy / Economics / Re: Why is money ruling the world? on: May 23, 2023, 06:15:41 PM
It's true that money does have enormous power, even money can destroy good relationships, even if it's a virgin relationship, money can change a person's character, money can buy happiness and can destroy that happiness too

If we let money control us it will really change our personality and our attitude towards bad things. But I don't believe that money can buy happiness, because true happiness is priceless.
Because there are many people around the world who achieve true happiness even if their money is not enough, in short, not all people are the same in that to live they need money. That's not true, because even if you have the most money in the world, when it comes to serious illness, the money you have can't heal you, even if you have piles of money. And even peace of mind cannot be bought with money.

I agree with you, money is money and hapiness is hapiness. It's time we stop interchanging the meaning of things. A person with no money can decide to be happy while a person with lots money can decide to be sad. They are many things better than money, which is man that controls the money, man has the power to set money ablaze its just a valuable paper. In addition, money can't buy tallness, intelligence and handsomeness. Money is just promoted to get lots of people out of the lane of other valuable things on earth. Many think money is the ultimate, that's why they feel empty when the money comes, because they can't understand why they labored so much for money. The world is too large to focus only on money.
2076  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Pizza Day 2023 on: May 23, 2023, 07:50:31 AM
The bitcoin pizza day is always a remarkable celebration day in the bitcoin community, I could remember the forum member getting interviewed about how he feels that people celebrates the day he sold pizza for such a huge amount of bitcoin. The last two year's celebration was so lit with many people on social media talking about it. I guess it was because of the 2021 bull run, many people had a keen eye on bitcoin. Now the transaction fee is lesser, though not very fast, but the intuition of LN to people and store owners is also a great idea to keep them prepared against any congestion in future.
2077  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Are you still buying? on: May 21, 2023, 09:44:20 PM
It's always good to hodl bitcoin, aside that we need to be careful regarding profits, it's never a waste of money especially for the bitcoin community members who understands how bitcoin works. Halving is coming up soon, hodl or buying more is some of the best strategies for a now bearish cryptocurrency market. The bullish run could be massive or average, but it'll arrive and everyone will get rewarded according to the number of sats they have in their wallet.
2078  Economy / Services / Re: CV/Resume for BTC on: May 21, 2023, 09:04:24 PM
Sorry for bumping, but I'm in search of a cryptocurrency trader resume advice. What are the most important things to mention there? Maybe someone can provide me with an example? Any help is appreciated.

It's easier to gain the attention of the hiring manager, who ever will read the piece of paper, if you mention figures on your resume. Cryptocurrency trading deals on numbers, so numbers should be strategically sprinkled on the resume, like pepper, make it less not lesser. Busy hiring managers won't read all the sentences in the resume, hence numbers helps capture their interest, the reader is focusing to know your accomplishments and achievements.  Always add first your best crypto trading achievements, if possible insert it on your personal profile. It helps buy time for other responsibilities to be read on the experience section. Apply extra ordinary attention to your experience section, use % where possible. I'd advice you to insert your achievements after the first sentence on your responsibility; complex sentence. Make it short, but not too short.

E.g: Managed 2 portfolios with over 10k, while spending 5hours learning cryptocurrency mining, top executives recommended my trading enthusiasm.

Some people will do it this way

Managed 2 portfolios with over 10k
spent 5 hours learning cryptocurrency mining.

It's clear that joining 2 responsibilities together in a sentence will make the resume appealing to read, the fact HR don't have enough time to read all contents, doesn't open a window for 3 letter word sentences on your experience section. Endeavor that every role made it to the second line. It'll result to a concise resume easy to glance on and understand. Concentrate your skills on IT and Tech. Good luck!
2079  Other / Meta / Re: Forum Menbership- 3.5m registered only 56k members survived?..... Why? on: May 21, 2023, 02:07:06 PM
Bitcointalk will not likely banish or disappear in your specified year unless Theymos pull the plug or unless Bitcoin goes to zero which is unlikely.
With over 30k organic keywords that show up in the search engine Bitcoin and Bitcointalk will stay even if the last Bitcoin is mined and even if Theymos grandson inherits this forum, with many new discussions and threads added daily the organic traffic keeps coming.

Considering the number of backlinks listed on google search engine, the forum will forever gain lots of monthly organic traffics, old threads of this forum are linked on top DA sites which helps the forum rank easily on google for any cryptocurrency related question. As for the decline of forum members they're two things to consider. First, lots of special interest board contributors declined on the internet, people moved to social media where they get almost every information they need. In those days, many people used forums to share information and answer each other's question, if you check the early threads in the forum it's quite very rich in quality and solves lots of problems. On the second flip, people farm accounts in the forum, and members are entitled to create multiple accounts. Hence, if 100k members creates 5 accounts each, it's about 500k accounts just an estimate, so don't conclude that 3.5m users joined the forum, consider the fact that most users had more than 1 account. Good observation.

2080  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Whats required of me as a newbie in other to grow in this prestigious forum? on: May 21, 2023, 01:50:27 PM
Always provide value to the forum at all time, focus on being knowledgeable, such that you'll understand almost every discussion that is opened in the forum. Don't respond if you don't have enough information to share on the discussion. But, I'll advise you to create threads on helpful bitcoin tips for newbies, always check if such thread already exists before creating the thread. Duplicated threads can be removed or locked. If crawling all the sections in the forum is tiring, you can focus on few boards that seem easier to contribute and share your thoughts. In a short period, your account activity and brain will adapt to the forum. It get easier everyday, but a bit difficult to come back if you break the daily posting routine.
