2061  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Crypto another form of gambling? on: June 21, 2023, 05:44:01 PM
As I have been corrected so many times by users@JayJuanGee, here on the concept and application of the word crypto in any of discussion, I would like to clear that it actually involves a wide range of other assets like the shitcoins people actually hold in high regard of it pumping up and if this term is actually what the Op or the reference link is trying to emphasize on then i would  agree with that because of these altcoins are just like gambling and its involves high risk of you loosing your assets which is same feat with how gambling works.
2062  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: CBN Governor, Godwin Emefiele, suspended!! on: June 21, 2023, 05:34:23 PM

2063  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Important Points to Learn from Your Worst Sports Betting Losses! on: June 20, 2023, 05:44:39 PM
Well I don't know about everyone here, but I probably would like to forget about my losses although you are right about learning or turning those lesson from your losses to something positive but I just believed that no matter how we strategize or we analyse the outcome of what we predicted is still largely going to be decided by how lucky you are. I don't know but I feel no one is am expert on gambling and I believed the only strategy I know is how not to lose much money on gambling.
2064  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Limit on domiciliary account removed, Naira cards restriction should be the next on: June 20, 2023, 05:35:46 PM
I was greeted with one of the most relieving news of the year today "The limit on the domiciliary account has been lifted." No doubt that cryptocurrency has helped in place of a domiciliary account for cross-border payments, but certainly not in the area of savings in the USD with confidence, that's at least for me as the security of my money is important.

Additional link could help more in this to serves as reference point, next time please take note.

Things are not bound to remain the same way forever, there will always be change in due time, the then administration has done their own best of governance to the people by implementation of some policies they feels alright for the growth and development of the economy financial sector, let's see what get unfolds sooner after this present government have been well settled anr done with the current ongoing sanitation.
Indeed it is a sanitation, I am hoping that all the changes this new administration is doing will help the growth of the economy because thats actually the priority of all administration that will and is ruling the nation. First I would like to commend them on the removal of the limit to the dollar account at least payment and savings on dollar will be efficiently carried out.
2065  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gender in Gambling [differences between Women and Men in Gambling] on: June 20, 2023, 05:23:14 PM
But in the current dispensation,  women are beginning to build awareness and adapt to the way things are done with high-risk ventures,  but also one of the reasons why there seems to be woman pushback in gambling is because of societal discrimination against women who gamble.
I guess with online gambling platforms, women are getting the upper hand from being shy and public attention. No one knows your gender in online platforms. If women can adapt to this quickly, we may see more women than men in those platforms. They get more free time than man, and in most countries, they are always in the house doing household works. Whenever they get free time from works, they can just go online and gamble.

If this happens, the pushback won't be a problem in my opinion. But as women are less interested in technology, I am not sure what percentage will be joining the game. It will be interesting to observe.
Yeah I guess you are right, online gambling casino does cover the gender issue and in a place like mine where the female gender is seen as some kind of error this online gambling sites can act as a remedy for those feminine gender who actually show interest to technology and also gambling. Female gambling online is actually a trend in other countries as they are more confident and not looked at with despise because most places it is an error for them to Gamble.
2066  Other / Meta / Re: Another birthday - how about an octogenarian club here? on: June 20, 2023, 05:12:05 PM
Thanks for all the good wishes guys. Now, the problem will occur in 9 years - nonagenarian sounds a bit iffy. Smiley

So where do you think the price of Bitcoin will be when I'm a nonagenarian. There will be 3 halvings before that happens, so the price should be stratospheric.
Firstly congrats to your new age @81 and hope we all still see you as active as you are now at this stage #nonagenarian, because that would be a massive milestone in one life, in this part of world where am from such acheivement are rarely seen. And for the price of BTC as of that stage I would hopefully speculate it to be around a 100k plus  Grin
2067  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are we now on Crypto bull run? on: June 20, 2023, 04:55:31 PM
Bull Run, of course, if the current price is $ 50k or more, and unfortunately the current price is still around $ 26k so in my opinion is a good price for buying, the best strategy is to buy when cheap and we can sell if the price of the bull run, the main key is of course be patient.
Now is definitely the time to accumulate, seeing that the price is still hovering by 26-27k. Every BTC holder is keen on the market to pump up soon but we are all optimistic in seeing that the halving is close by and we all expect the market pump up so gathering as much BTC is currently the best thing to do as we on a stable market currently now.
2068  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Teaching Bitcoin is not do or die on: June 20, 2023, 04:23:36 PM
I don't know about you but no knowledge that is forced upon anyone who is not interest hardly stick instead it turns out to be a whole waste of energy, before ever I was introduced to bitcoin it was because I showed certain curiosity towards the trend and that curiosity was properly put in check by a friend of mine which properly enlightenment me on the do's and  don'ts that is involved with crypto and also properly guided me here through which wish I have a lot more about bitcoin and become more interested in it. All these things happen because at first I was already having the interest for bitcoin and that drive led me to want to know more which made it easy for my teacher to guide me.
2069  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: June 19, 2023, 09:21:12 PM
I think Liverpool will start next season with a significant level of difference for them because last season Liverpool played in the Champions League and they were able to provide a lot of competition from the grub phase to the next stage. But in the next season Liverpool will play in the Europa League and of course Liverpool is very superior. Salah while playing at Liverpool he has never played in the Europa League. But next season he will play for the first time in the European league with Liverpool. I think he will make a lot of achievements in the Europa League next season, be it being the top scorer or being the best player in the Europa League.

This will determine how far they advance in the Europa League next season. We don't know who will participate in the Europa League next season, but with Liverpool there, they're among the top clubs to go far and may even win the Europa League.

Mohammed Salah is an exceptional footballer who has made significant contributions to his side since joining them in 2017. Liverpool's performance last season was outstanding, and they did particularly well towards the conclusion of the season. So I'm confident they'll do better next season in both the Premier League and other European competitions.
Everyone expects them to be better because they ended last season with a strong performance and am quite sure that with the all the lesson learnt from the poor start they had in the previous season they would use that as an advantage in their next season campaign with a couple of new players added to their squad.
2070  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would Bitcoin become The General Currency in the Future? on: June 19, 2023, 09:12:08 PM
I like to be skeptical about this actual thought of bitcoin being the world currency but only time can tell this, the way I see it I think its just simply an evolution that will take place in the financial sector of the world, like you said the world has evolved so  greatly from using different means of money and bitcoin to be used in a general way is still possible in some way but it will take very long but I believe it will surely happen one day.
2071  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you find it offensive to be referred to as an addicted gambler? on: June 19, 2023, 09:02:09 PM
Many people find it difficult to accept who they are and the bad habits that they have, accepting a habit is the first step that will determine if any help offered to you will work. As a gambler, will you find it offensive if you are referred to as a gambling addict? will you easily accept it or try to give excuses like some other people do, saying that they are not addicted to gambling when the signs are clearly there. Do you think identifying as an addicted gambler will make people stereotype you. The answer is different for every gambler here.

Well one thing I know  for sure is that every gambler tend to shy away from the fact that they are possible addicts to the habit, I would take myself for an example during my core days as a gambler I almost lost everything I had to this act but still yet I still tell myself lies thats it all good and this type of things is normal but the true is that denial always come with this act and every gambler tend to tell themselves lies that they are not addicts.

2074  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Dad's retirement money is invested in Bitcoin! on: June 18, 2023, 04:27:18 PM
Investing in crypto currencies can be a bit of a lot risky. Like look at last few days. As soon as SEC said something about crypto currencies and started to build a case against the exchanges, the price feel like almost 30% in few second. So yeah, it's risky, but it could also give you good returns, especially if you're thinking long term. Like you said, maybe suggesting your dad to put half of his retirement money on bitcoin is a good idea, but it must be for very long term and he should only risk his retirement money if he can afford to lose it!
I agree with you because keeping your money as bitcoin is risky but cmon, what in the world today that doesn't involves risk? But the only part about your I don't like is the part where you were trying to say that the money invested should be kept for a year, although this year has not been bad for bitcoin but no one knows what can happen at the end of the year since we are still in some kind of short bull market.

Offensive words on the forum

Some people are too shy and weak in the real life. Some are depressed and isolated, the only place that give them voice is fora like this. Some are so thin and doesn't visit the gym, just a push with my finger will let them stumbled x20 and fracture. How do you want those people to air their views and hit on random people if not to hide behind the screen.

They're just words and only you can let them effect or hurt you. Just ignore anything you deem offensive.
Some people are too emotional that they let a national broadcast by Putin put them in perpetual fear in their own country not Russia.

Some people can't even speak in the real life because of shyness, the only place they pour out their mind to say things is on the social media and it really hurt when they are being attacked with offensive words.  Some people can bear been attacked but it is not easy with some people endure it.

I'm beginning to take every word in the forum as a normal word and I'm getting use to it because I have come to understand that everybody can't be the same when it comes to manner of response. The forum is a community which it can't be possible to expect pleasant comments from everybody.

And the earlier you start accepting the replies and responses of community members to your post or reply the better for because in order for you to grow here people must surely critized or should I correct you and only people who don't want to grow can always feel correction is some kind of abuse or insult.
2076  Economy / Gambling / Re: How succesful will AI projects be to win the house? on: June 18, 2023, 04:09:16 PM
Since AI is growing gradually, it might take some time for people to see the light in AI and try to follow it. It is already known that AI might be a big problem to us in the nearest tears to come and we need to limit the kind of power we give to artificial intelligence to execute some actions for us.
Artificial Intelligence will replace lazy and useless humans who can't do their work with perfection or even if they do it, they take way more time than required for a specific task, if companies can get work done more efficiently that too at a less price with an AI model, why would they pay a higher amount to a human that will waste the money and the time as well?
People are promoting AI in a way that is a little bit further away from reality. Employees who were useless but the company had no other option to retain them. Now AI has come to relieve the company from such difficulties. Those who are smart enough are arranging their new jobs by using this AI, because it requires professional AI experts to do the best job using AI. So those who can change themselves with time, no one can take away their jobs.
Well in very advantage there is also a disadvantage, as AI is making work a bit less stressful for people so in same way its actually reliefing some folks of their actual duty due to their incompetence in handling their jobs but the set of people actually affected in this actually beg to think that AI is actually doing them bad by taking their jobs away from them.
2077  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Success or Fail? - Talking about Gambling as a major income on: June 18, 2023, 04:03:39 PM
Have no idea your educational background and no interest. You need improve your reading skills. Or just waste your time here. I got no problem on 'luck is totally random'. And I do not say anything on that. My point is professionals 'know-how' 'deduct' 'the influence' of bad luck. Simple words. Bad luck can happen to anyone. Ordinary people like you will lose all your cash at hand if you gamble that day. Professionals get the same bad luck, they may lose 10% of the cash at hand. Whose brainpower need to improve now? This is the last time I response on such useless post. Have a good day.

But how do you determine if someone is a pro or not on game that is based on luck? It’s either they are just lucky on guessing or they have a good bankroll management that makes them stay on the game without being busted.

Bankroll size and management is the greatest weapon if you want to stay in gambling longer but there’s really no guarantee to have a consistent profit as source of income since you already said that bad luck always come. At some point. These professionals will encounter it and bust them even after their long winning streak.
The law or rule of nature also applys in gambling because no one can be always consistentl in having series of winning without ever encountering lose or disappointment at some stage or level. Gambling is never guaranteed as a source and their is pro when it comes to gambling because at the long run of your whole gambling career if you would actually get some to calculate the ratio of your profits to your loss you would fine out that the losses are more than the wins.

2080  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Don't gamble if you don't have patience on: June 16, 2023, 06:06:22 PM
Patience should be the first feature for every gambler looking at some the gamble can really get frustrate the gambler especially when you are always experiencing losses. Your losses can make you so impatient that you can end up doing something drastic that can cause regrets for you and such effect will always come when you are done gambling.
