2061  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How do I become productive in this forum? on: April 15, 2023, 09:33:56 PM
Life is never a competition but we humans made it to be that way so all you have to do is try your best to find something positive to drop here and also read on other people's post and find a way to bring out something unique or should I say something different from what you've seen here and your opinion matters alot, try your best not to do anything that's against the rules.

Life is a teacher so we have to learn from what we see and hear everyday.

With the way Man City are going about their next game in the UCL I thought Pep who rest some key players especially his number one weapon, Erling Haaland. City played without pressure in this fixture and now it would be Arsenal who would be under serious pressure because the point gap is no longer 6pt but 3pt that's if the Gunners lose against West Ham on Sunday.
Now Arteta's boys need to sit up and make use of any chances they've got because tomorrow's game won't be easy in fact any game at hand isn't any easy game, if they [Arsenal] lose one game, they should just kiss the title good bye. I expect a win in tomorrow's game.
2063  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: April 13, 2023, 11:10:09 PM
It's very hard to think leicester will able to steal points from city. City has been successfully beating bayern with huge scores. That was also giving city's players very big motivation to get another trophy. The chance is still there for city.

Leicester can be seen as one team that drops points week in week out and like we all know that they [the Foxes] are yet to prove to Football lovers who has given up hope on them especially their fans that they can beat City, at least that would be a starter to winning ways, and as for Bayern Munich game next week, the game is not yet over until is over in a much as I want City to win. If they're not careful a come back could happen and they [City] might be coming back home.

Quote
Winning against arsenal and one remaining match will be enough to make the total points owned by city to be the same as arsenal. That being said, that arsenal is not yet safe right now.

Is not really winning against Arsenal that would guarantee City to be the Champion of EPL, some of their fixtures could be a hard nut to crack. With the draw against Liverpool, talking about Arsenal they made a big mistake by not defending that 1-2 lead and is now going to put the Gunners in much pressure going into the next game but if City could fall out in any of their games and Arsenal continue winning, then I think the gunners could be crowned champions.

The EPL title and table are not really stable at the moment, the whole thing is just shaking, when Man City go head to head against a struggling Leicester City who's sitting at 19th on the log will be a game City would wish they'd win that easy.
In this fixture I don't see Pep Guardiola applying much pressure to win, it would be very hard because City have a Champions league game they need to win in other to move to the next round and Leicester would take advantage of that and play their best in that game on Saturday to enable them get at least a point or if possible all 3pts.
IMO, a possible draw could play out in that game or a win for the Foxes to motivate them in moving out of the relegation zone.
2066  Other / Off-topic / Re: HAPPY EASTER BITCOINERS on: April 11, 2023, 10:29:08 PM

Happy Easter Wishes to every bitcoiner. May this day bring love, peace and joy to you and your family.

Maybe this day be a new start to the life. May the God you bless everyone today and always.

On this day of Easter as a connect to bitcoin let us know about four coins that were mentioned in Bible

We can see this on the New Testament :

  • Phoenician shekel
  • Half-shekel
  • Jewish Hasmonean lepton
  • Roman denarius

Happy Easter to you all...
OP you did a great job there but I don't know about you, I think the Bitcoin sigh should have been the biggest amongst all because I see it as the best...

2067  Other / Meta / Re: How to add your Bitcointalk profile to your homescreen on: April 11, 2023, 10:10:51 PM
OP nothing is wrong with having it on your home screen but something might go wrong. Sometimes you forget that is not only you that have access to your phone, imagine you making use of your account and you forget to logout and your friend who doesn't have any idea on what goes on in this forum, like he/she breaks one of the rules while using your account and later you found out that your account have been given a red flag, what would you do? Nothing but blame yourself for being careless.
To me I don't think is even cool to have your Bitcointalk profile on your home screen, because you can't be 100% careful.
2068  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How do I get merits on a post. on: April 11, 2023, 01:48:04 PM
It is because people like that only think of earning merits for different reasons like increasing their rank to join bounty campaigns instead of thinking how to contribute in this forum or how to make a good/high quality posts then merits will surely come.

Is something I experienced when I first came here, you know sometimes too much expectations makes one to think of having merit in every post you make, but now I've come to understand that when you put much effort in your post and let it slide, the reward will come without you knowing.
2069  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How do I get merits on a post. on: April 11, 2023, 09:38:25 AM
Speaking about getting a merit on a post, is some how funny although to me I find it funny because you take your time do some research and when you're done with all that, you post it with a smile on your face hoping that it will draw attention "yes" it will but after having like 5plus comments you find out that your post have no merit put scroll down to other comments you see merits on other people's opinion to your post and not yours. That's really painful but what do we do? Let it go, continue the same thing on and on but one day merit will come like a surprise.

2072  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: April 10, 2023, 08:29:22 AM
With Real Madrid losing to Villarreal is a big chance for Barcelona take things slow and steady going into the next game against Girona who's sitting @ 11th position on the la LIGA table. I don't see Barcelona struggling in this fixture, they're going to make sure they extend their lead at the table to 15pt, is going to be a very easy game for the league leaders. They're not in any worrisome competition at the moment with Real Madrid lack of form when it comes to the league games, with that being said it made it easy for the Catalans. IMO, it will be a big win for the Home side in tonight's fixture.
2073  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: April 10, 2023, 01:50:24 AM
Arteta can't still believe that they're no longer 8pt clear off Man City but 6pt, is like losing two games and boom Man City are top of the table. It will be very disappointing and a big disaster if Arsenal can't lift the trophy this season after much struggle. I feel it will be laughable and a slap to the faces of the Arsenal fans if they end the season without a trophy and no excuses are welcome to as why they didn't win the league without being in any competition but still lost this one time opportunity.

The game between the Gunners against the Liverpool side would have been a done and dusted game only if the Gunners would have created a very strong shield at the back when it was still 1-2 even when Salah missed the spot kick, the entire Arsenal team would have taken advantage and punish Liverpool by pressing hard, defending at high level and probably score a goal to secure their lead but they couldn't do so, only for Liverpool to come back and get another goal to level up the game 2-2.

2075  Other / Meta / Re: Who is the oldest user among forum still active? on: April 07, 2023, 08:26:33 AM
I may be the oldest combined person here.

I started in 2012

and I am 66.

but I am the 64500 or so person to join.

So there could be someone older that started sooner.

theymos is active and is sooner but I am older.

Jet Cash is later 2015 but he is older.

So they beat me in one case and I beat them in one case.

I wonder if any members that began in 2011 are older than 66. They would beat me in both cases.

2012 is a long time compare to those of us that started last year, and you're still active @66? Wow, that's awesome.
I don't know about others but your kind(s) are really hard to find in this forum. I still have more years (by the Grace of God) to stay and be active like you in this forum. Thumbs up to you.

2079  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is politics supposed to be for the old ones? on: April 06, 2023, 01:14:37 AM
In some countries I believe that the set of people who runs political affairs are the old ones and is really worrisome, talking about age range 70yrs and above. Like in my country where I'm from these set of people (politicians) just feel they are the only ones fit to run the country and you find it hard to see someone between the age of 40yrs and above to rule as president or any higher position, is really outrageous and irritating. Why is greed speaking more in politics? Must every politician(s) think only about themselves other than the citizens?

I really don't blame most countries that engages in protest year in year out, nobody would be happy to have guys who ship in money into the development of their own businesses other than developing the country.
I am assuming you are younger. So why why not get involved in politics? You really can't complain of wrong people doing wrong politics if you are not doing anything. You can obviously vote for younger candinates, but you also can be a candinate. Politics only change by people changing it. If young people won't vote, there will be most likely old people in charge. As old people might not trust young and inexperienced politicians.

Being young or getting involved in politics won't change the fact that we still have dirty corrupt politicians who still find it hard to quit the game even when they know that they're not competent enough to secure a position. Young people do cast their vote but haven't you asked why is it that the result doesn't always comes out in favor of what the people voted? Is something you have to be worried about, is as if the vote of the people do not count, the old ones just want to be there (in power) not for the people but for the money.
2080  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: @Active Members of Bitcointalk: Why have you created an Account here? on: April 03, 2023, 02:52:39 PM
I came across this forum quite by accident. It so happened that I was busy on another platform, completely removed from information about Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies. Suddenly, one day, my forum stopped working; I don’t know what happened to it, and I was left without my interests. There was free time, and by the will of fate, I came across this forum. I googled it and was very surprised that I did not know about it before. After reading a few threads, I signed up here because I always think that it's better to be inside than outside if you're interested in something.
And yes, the closure of my forum and the discovery of this have affected the fact that I am no longer interested in other forums.
It happens.

If someone would have told me you started from the scratch in this forum after yours had issues I won't have believed.
In my own case, I wasn't sure such a thing do happen because of some scammers and I have concluded that any online stuff are fake, not until I was introduced to this forum and I found out that things here are different from the others I have tried, so it just happened. I'm loving it here.
