2061  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I’ve been working in Bitcoin industry for 3 years and here’s why you should NOT on: September 13, 2016, 12:13:27 PM
Good article m8. Kind a funny and has key aspects of bitcoin mentioned.
IMO you almost got carried away with gif's Smiley some people are on the budget with their bandwidth, ya now? Wink
But the last paragraph is a bit poor in information, got me wonder...
Why do you think bitcoin is a bad idea in case of money laundering?
Is it the blockchain/see-through feature or something else that makes it a bad option
for this kind of activity?

If you send your bitcoins through a mixer they cannot do anything about it, so imagine when they had confidential transaction and mimblewimble and stuff like that, it will be impossible to track bitcoins, so this is not a problem for the people want to hide money. Is it ethically correct? No, but depends on the context.
2062  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Italy Wants to Treat Bitcoin as Currency And Tax It on: September 13, 2016, 12:04:48 PM
Well what do you expect? Nothing can escape the government's hand in taxing anything. To be honest with everyone, I do not want bitcoin to become mainstream. Experimentation and pushing the technology forward should be the top priority, not making money. So a bitcoin that is not defined by any government entity and free to become what it is meant to be is more valuable to me than BTC going "to the moon".

The governments can do nothing about your bitcoins unless you convert them to cash, or unless you acquire them in exchanges which require your personal data.

What can the state do about some guy working for BTC? Nothing, the state will never know that this guy owns X BTC. Of course to buy a car or real state, you will need to tax it since the government will find out you own unreported car and real state.
2063  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC 203 Miocic vs. Overeem on: September 12, 2016, 04:24:20 PM
stipe ain't losing that belt soon. this guy is insane. a guy who should have been swinging an axe on a battlefield. shame on Alistair for the excuse...and good on Rogan for taking control of the situation and clearing any unneeded controversy before it happened. with this situation, cm punk fighting, an elevator falling and injuring CB, and the entire Browne Werdum fight I can say this is the weirdest UFC event of all time.

I thought he tapped to on his arm sightly but it seems it was just the hand hitting on his arm or something. I think Overeem was scared to get punched and played a very conservative game. I would like to see a rematch, I think he can win if he goes with a better strategy than what he did. Overeem punches are also devastating as we saw.
2064  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can you trust projects that use Ethereum? on: September 12, 2016, 04:15:05 PM
I find a lot of projects that have ongoing ICOs like Augur, Golem, SingluarityDTV and all those projects that use Ethereum to be very interesting, the big problem is clear: you just can't trust Ethereum long term. So im not sure if I should own some of those. I think some of those will pump hard, so im thinking about it.

Depends on the project since not all them have a good intention on running thosr project, and i don't really hold for more long days interms of ICO coins sincr they are prone to be dead or to be dump by thosr scam devs, so better be safe on supporting those since i don't see any successfull ICO's nowadays who get more alive for many months so precaution for those one the best thing we could do so we can have step to regain if we lose, ETH system is the most favorite to copy by those lazy devs.

Im look at Golem for example. I like the idea of a global computer which would help with tasks such as rendering CGI video faster. I use Cinema4d sometimes and rendering something takes ages, same for After Effects. If I could rent computing power to render them in minutes I would totally do it.
2065  Economy / Economics / Re: Best way for steady income on: September 12, 2016, 04:05:29 PM
The only way is unfortunately to have a job, which is boring and takes too much time from personal projects, even that nowadays is less and less of a stable income since getting a non temporal job is getting increasingly harder.
2066  Economy / Economics / Re: I have 12 BTC in my Account, How should I invest this?? on: September 12, 2016, 03:58:44 PM
I would separate 1 BTC from that and start trading altcoins in poloniex. Put some here and there and wait for a pump. Sooner or later all coins pump anywhere from 50 to 1000%.
2067  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can bitcoin be pumped-and-dumped? on: September 12, 2016, 03:51:15 PM
Well, consider this: There are people out there that have literally billions of dollars. So they could in theory buy a ton of btc, which would pump the price, then sell it all at once, which would dump the price. So it only takes someone that is loaded, what if a couple billionaires unite? You can guess the answer.
2068  Other / Off-topic / Re: What will you do if you own 21 BTC? on: September 12, 2016, 03:46:22 PM
It was my little dream to own 21 BTC and today i achieved it after hard work of so long time. Now i want to make my hard work pay me.I mean,i want that these bitcoins work for me someway and grow.Is there bitcoin bank that pays interest? What will you do with 21 BTC? How will you spend it? How will you grow it? Share anything you want that may help me to decide what should i do. Smiley

For this moment i will store a half of it to buy a house. And the remain i want to make a business and growing up my  money as additional to buy a house. I think it is very kind idea to do .
I wont do anything else like now because i already have more than 70 bitcoins collected and u started just with 2 and i am now almost in the bitcoin for 1 year so it takes some time but you wont regret it for sure!

Wow 70 in a year is a lot of money. How did you make 70 bitcoins in only one year? Unless you took some big risks in the altcoin market, I don't see it happening unless you were already rich and just bought them with cash.
2069  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Ads on Youtube on: September 12, 2016, 03:44:29 PM
If you mean the ads that appear on youtube, then you cannot do anything about that. It's google's adsense program that sells the advertisements to people, you cannot choose that a certain advertisement is about bitcoin as far as I know.
2070  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: You Should Begin a New Life and Quit Gambling today? on: September 11, 2016, 06:02:23 PM
You should only quit gambling if it supposes a real problem for you. If you can control your gambling impulses then you can enjoy gambling as an sporadically form of enjoyment and fun and not as a problem that will ruin you.
2071  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC 203 Miocic vs. Overeem on: September 11, 2016, 05:54:59 PM
Overeem almost had it done on the first round, he knocked him out and went to the floor, but he failed to finish with the triangle choke. Miocic was wobbly as hell for some seconds and Overeem could have knocked him out again but it looked like Overeem was scared to attack him... strange fight.
2072  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ima little drunk tonight and I have 3 more btc to invest in alts. But which ones on: September 11, 2016, 05:51:02 PM
I would just wait for a big XMR dip to get in again, im sure this coin will keep growing long term. Maybe all in, or diversify a bit in other coins.
2073  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptos w/ integrated Tor or I2P on: September 11, 2016, 05:48:14 PM
Well in a way Bitcoin is integrated. As far as I know since Bitcoin 0.12 was released, it has the ability to run as a hidden service in tor by simply opening the tor browser and the bitcoin core project at the same time.

2075  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Quark coin still alive? on: September 11, 2016, 05:39:27 PM
What was it, Max Gaiser, or mark gayser... Well whatever the fuck he was... it was him promoting this shitcoin. I guess he had a beating from the quark victims so he stopped that

I think that was Bill Still. He used to make videos on the daily about Quarkcoin in his Youtube channel. He hasn't made any anymore, I think not even about crypto in general. I bought 50 dollars worth of this shit back then. Im not even sure at what price I bought because cryptsy is dead and I lost all my orders...
2076  Other / Off-topic / Re: Have you ever lost Bitcoin? on: September 11, 2016, 05:32:59 PM
My biggest lost ever was on the altcoin market. I lost almost an entire BTC in an altcoin that id rather not mention.  I was hoping that the price would go higher but I was too greedy and instead of getting out of the market, I keep holding. I was almost a second from selling at the top form kept holding. I paid the price.
2077  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Gambling addiction a disease? on: September 09, 2016, 12:22:35 PM
This is the same as asking if drinking alcohol is a disease or not. Or if doing anything that can be potentially addictive should be considered a disease. As you should see, this makes absolutely no sense and is a flawed concept. The disease is only a disease if it makes the person's life a mess. Not everyone suffers from gambling addiction.
2078  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC 203 Miocic vs. Overeem on: September 09, 2016, 12:17:51 PM
Werdum hyped his fight so much with all those masks

it was a good marketing plan, but too bad he got KO'd in the fight and did not deliver the fight that he was selling. That can happen when you hype something too much, it can disappoint people and become a problem for you business wise.
2079  Economy / Economics / Re: Loans too risky? on: September 09, 2016, 12:12:06 PM
BTCJam was a disappointment since it was a constant steal of yoru money as borrowers ran with the money and nothing happened. Im not sure about how Poloniex loan system works and if its safer. I would like to get into it and start getting more money form y BTC.
2080  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Anyone watching Mr Robot? on: September 09, 2016, 11:52:06 AM
Im not watching iyet but i keep seeing it mentioned on reddit.com/r/bitcoin so i will end up looking at it just to see what the fuzz is all about. Apparently it has a strong role on the second season beyond some subliminal advertisements like "bitcoin accepted here" marks.
