20641  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Money laundering crackdown, can bitcoin fill gap? on: April 16, 2016, 04:34:14 AM
this is just US laws about gambling which are really stupid and confusing. besides even some of the bitcoin wallets does not allow you to gamble with the money so maybe if using bitcoin debit card becomes a thing they might prohibit gambling with their service too!
20642  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcointalk is a good way to get information about Bitcoins? on: April 16, 2016, 04:26:59 AM
if you are looking for information about basics of bitcoin there is a lot of way some of them easier to get that for example reading bitcoin.org or watching a youtube video about bitcoin.

if you are looking for news, although people post the hot news here too but they will be posted on news sites, i prefer coindesk

but forum is good for communication and learning about those things you couldn't before, like wanting to hear a simplified version of the technical article you read from someone who is a pro.
20643  Economy / Speculation / Re: If bitcoin dropped to $1, what you do? on: April 16, 2016, 04:21:48 AM
this is one of those hypothetical scenarios that is never going to happen just like the topic about what if internet goes down!
but even if bitcoin goes down i will never buy ethereum, no matter what the hyping bag-holders try to say it is not a good coin.
20644  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A long time ago... on: April 15, 2016, 06:25:05 AM
although this topic may sound true and i'd be lying if i said i didn't have the same thought. yeah that would be great if the complex looking string of characters and numbers (a bitcoin address) could be shortened to something easy to see and remember BUT the reality is that in this day and age nobody is remembering anything not even simple phone numbers that is far less complected, hell i don't even remember what my phone number is; we all have technology like smart phones for these things. and the solution to topic's problem is QR codes or things like that.

also do you think this: GB29 NWBK 6016 1331 9268 19 is simple? and people like it?
no ofcourse not but you never hear anybody complaining.
this is International Bank Account Number or IBAN and it can be as long as 30 alphanumeric characters
something which we all use without thinking twice. you write it on piece of paper, in your phone, or in a .txt file and copy paste the content just like what you do with bitcoin address!
20645  Other / Off-topic / Re: Will you quit your day job to go full time on bitcoin? on: April 15, 2016, 05:57:39 AM
Bitcoin for some people worth the risk they took, going full at bitcoin,i would consider it if had no family under me,soo its better to let bitcoin as an extra income .

if you can earning more than realjob why not..? the future of bitcoin is very greatfull, if goverment adopt bitcoin technology each people will interesting to use it and we will see new digital era.

even if you are earning more from your day job there is nothing saying you can not switch to bitcoin. you can start accepting bitcoin as payment if the business is yours or if you are receiving a salary you can ask for it in bitcoin form or even buy bitcoin as soon as you receive it.
20646  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are you waiting for Halving??? on: April 15, 2016, 05:46:46 AM
No we are waiting for next pump to sell whan halving will start
Propably it will be like that, sell whan  people will scream to buy
well to be honest i wasnt around when the first block reward halving happened thus i am waiting for the halving too not only for the money that it will make me most probably

im definitely waiting for halving because it is one of the biggest things that has ever happened to bitcoin for the whole time i am using it, and i want to make a lot of money out of it too

It will also be my first block halving experience, but I don't have very high expectations from the price that may go up due to the block rewards being halved. If the price goes up a lot, then it's fine for me. But if the price doesn't go up much, then I will not be disappointed because I don't have high expectations.

it is not just because of the rewards that is being decreased, i mean that is obviously pretty important since it has a significant effect on miners income. but a big part of the future possible rise is because of the hype and speculation that comes with it, and we all know nothing is more powerful that this.
20647  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is ready to gently float upwards on: April 15, 2016, 05:42:23 AM
i also believe that the big rise is getting near and when it comes we are going to see a new all time high and all those altcoins claiming to surpass bitcoin's market cap (you all know what i am talking about Cheesy) can take that dream to their grave as their bag holders continue to dump in order to be able to buy bitcoin now at higher prices.
20648  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Gavin Andresen's AMA on 8btc 21th April on: April 15, 2016, 05:34:30 AM
He has most of the bigger Bitcoin merchants convinced that Classic will be the best solution for their problems for about 3 months, and now he is shifting his attention to the miners. If he can get their support, Classic will be the next hard fork.

This whole thing are playing out like a election campaign for a new president. I see some similarity between him and Trump at the moment. ^hmmmmm^

haha, it is so funny because i was just about to ask this question about why he is doing in on 8btc.com which is a Chinese platform and it doesn't even have an English version (at least i cannot find any switch to En on their first page). then i saw your reply and now i know Cool
20649  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will you switch to a new technology, if it offers better features than Bitcoin? on: April 15, 2016, 05:22:01 AM
We know Bitcoin was the first and is the most trusted Crypto currency out there at the moment and that it is backed by a huge network with tons of hashing power and good security, BUT would you

forget about all of that and go for a alternative technology with better features, once it is developed by all these banks? {Permissioned, private ledgers} They will obviously just copy the concept and

add some bells n whistles and then improve on scalability.

The governments will obviously make things easier for them and make it more difficult for Bitcoin, and then Bitcoin will start to lose ground and things will change in their favor. How do we stop that

or turn that against them? {The only solution I can see, is for us to educate the public and to prove to them that Bitcoin is better}

What will you do? Turn to a permissioned ledger, because things will be easier or stay with Bitcoin out of principle or because you support financial freedom?

i think it is logical to think that it is easily possible for a new technology to come along and become better than bitcoin, i am not saying such technology exists right now or going to exist soon but i say it is possible just as bitcoin came along and is better than fiat as we know it.

but any new technology will have its ups and downs, nothing is perfect. besides it doesn't mean complete replacement of the old technologies as long they are not obsolete.
20650  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do Bitcoins have Tax?? on: April 15, 2016, 05:16:01 AM
No currency in the world has tax only the goverment has it

fact:  In some countrys bitcoin are not accepted as a currency.

that is true, but in the past that didn't stop the government and IRS from prosecuting people who did a business online and was accepting bitcoin as payment, because they didn't pay taxes for their business.
20651  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Earning Bitcoins on: April 15, 2016, 05:13:44 AM

Yeah faucets is not the fast way to earn bitcoin and signature compaign is good for earning BTC...
Captcha filling is also best way to earn bitcoin. You can earn 0.8$ for solving every 1000 captchas.

Earning a dollar for filling in 1000 mind numbing captchas doesn't sound very good to me. How long does it take to fill in those 1k captchas?

That is your opinion but captcha filling is good for newbie in the way that you earn more btc than signature comapign because from you earn 0.000045 BTC per constructive post almost Isn't ??

Captcha is good in compare to faucets, as you can earn more in captcha while faucets will never give you higher pay outs, but still its a good for newbie who is looking to collect free bitcoins.

it is still time wasting work, the payment is just a little bit better than faucets. there are better jobs (micro jobs that pay better than faucets and captcha work, they might be a little harder to find buy they pay better for your time.
20652  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Japan Considers Regulating Bitcoin as Currency on: April 14, 2016, 03:53:08 AM
i love the fact that a lot of different countries in the world are beginning to realize the power of bitcoin and the demand it has created in the world and the people in their country.
and that is the only thing they can do they have to regulate bitcoin since they can not control it if they don't, this way they take back some control.
20653  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I am confused with trading.Help me out on: April 14, 2016, 03:47:41 AM
Before you start trading, I suggest you to acquire as much info as you can. Trading BTC or the Nasdaq or the Forex or whatever is basically the same so you'll find plenty of info everywhere.
Do not start trading if you have no idea about it. Also learn how to read the charts.

well, in my opinion they are the same and they aren't at the same time. as bitcoin grows bigger and bigger it becomes more like forex,... and the same rules will apply and the technical analysis will work but until then it is controlled a lot by hype and a lot of newbie traders who panic sell/buy and swing the price around.

and this becomes a lot worse when it comes to trading altcoins. since that market is a lot smaller the manipulations are a lot bigger.
20654  Economy / Economics / Re: I'm not gonna sell any coin. on: April 14, 2016, 03:29:34 AM
I will not sell at a moment I will surely hold for next couple of months and will sell at the time of halving when the price goes higher as selling now would be not profitable enough.

Yes this is not the right time to sell, if we sell now then we cannot earn good profits as price is too low, and if we wait then we can earn great profits in future.

it is never a right time to sell bitcoin Cheesy
because of the volatility it is always a chance that price may go higher and since we are not yet at the mass adoption stage then the price has a lot of room to grow.

so what i always do is that i look for bitcoin payment first and pay with bitcoin if possible but sometimes i have to sell because fiat is the only way!
20655  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or gold? on: April 14, 2016, 03:25:03 AM
Well besides the magic ammount of 1000 and 800 dollars, bitcoin last year were on the 250 -300 dollars ,and get around 50 % more value gold hadnt made such as i belive. Both investments good but i would go with bitcoin has its keep growing and getting mature.
yeah I agree with you although bitcoin have fluctuating prices and the price is uncertain. but the development of bitcoin go ahead ranging from users continues to grow and so on

Bitcoin is really better investment NOW, but if smth go wrong profit will be minimised or you can just lose your money. It's a bit risky invest in bitcoin a lot of money.

yeah, it is risky. but the fact is that all the investments that are good and have a nice profit in them are too risky. you can't find a safe investment and expect a lot of reward from it too. just look at gold it is much safer but at the same time the profit is low.
20656  Economy / Speculation / Re: If Bitcoin goes up, they're worth more dollars.. on: April 14, 2016, 03:17:57 AM
If Bitcoin goes down my dollars are worth more Bitcoins.

Either way i'm winning. Cool

HAHA this was one of the funniest things I've seen today.
Thanks for the laugh.

...yeesh a lot of people don't have a sense of humour do they.

he is not making a joke, read his second comment below, that is what most of the bitcoin traders do. you go half and half (more or less) on bitcoin and fiat and buy low and sell high then use the profit bitcoin or fiat to purchase whatever you want.

Really funny how people take this seriously..

I'm no 50/50 or whatever..
If you think about it there is only 2 ways of reading this post:

Either way I'm juste à basic trader like everyone else: Bitcoin down I buy ( with my dollars that are worth more Bitcoin ), Bitcoin up I sell ( with my Bitcoin that are worth more dollars ).

Or I'm juste doin' nothing with my coins ans my dollars and then.. Well nothing.
20657  Economy / Speculation / Re: will the halving effect alt coin on: April 14, 2016, 03:14:27 AM
well iv been thinking and watch on what this halving might do to btc and alt coin market.

do you guys think that alt coins will go up or down in value.

one thing is for sure and that is the fact that nothing is for sure here so anything can happen. but a lot of the altcoins will most probably get dumped or become less traded. and some coins like LTC may go up because i have seen LTC act the same way with bitcoin in the past.
20658  Other / Off-topic / Re: what you like best in Bitcoin ? on: April 14, 2016, 02:42:10 AM
What I like about bitcoin is instant and low fee transaction.
Also when paying or buying something is simple, no need verification.

Its Simple Simple Simple and just Simple and thats the best.

Simple to register, simple to use, simple to setup , simple to send and recieve.

Simplicity is the best feature of bitcoins

it is not that simple! at least not simple for regular people and those who have never heard about bitcoin before in their lives.
the concept is confusing at first about the blockchain, mining, block reward, signing transactions,... and since everything should be done by the user like creating wallet,... it is confusing at first. but i agree that in time it becomes easier.
20659  Economy / Speculation / Re: Have we left the 200's for ever? on: April 13, 2016, 05:36:33 AM
When bitcoin was $400 in 2014 nobody knew, at the start of 2015 we will see a huge dump, $200. if we a get hype like that again,  we will see  that again, probably a year before next halvening.

that is not hype that would be FUD and no FUD is big enough to decrease the price to $200 (it is a $225 decrease) the last FUD was created by Mike Hearn and that was huge but only could decrease the price $30-40 and that was not the only FUD, there were a huge wave of Ethereum FUD alongside it.
20660  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I want to make a trade! on: April 13, 2016, 05:30:22 AM
