So I altered list and I am now at 536 vs 670

Not sure how op wrote numbers up.

But  I had already left out 70+ feedbacks

So At this point I will look to alter it more if possible
20682  Other / Meta / Re: DT1 users abusing their power to increase their own trust on: March 21, 2018, 03:41:13 PM
I love this forum  and frankly  I don"t care about the trust rating I have.

As far as I am concerned I have pruned that list over and over and over and over again.

and I will prune it again. Today  right now

As for the newbie that started the thread  why don't  you come out from the shadows and let us know  whom  or who you are?

I have many  trusts I left out  look here:

over 70  to count them

thesourc3 2018-03-20 0.00000000 Donated a $100 Bitmain coupon, came through within hours. I appreciate it!

MagicSmoker 2018-03-05 0.00350000 My first transaction with a Bitcointalk member couldn't have gone smoother!

bill gator 2018-02-18 0.06600000 Reference Acted very cool when it took me a bit to get payment in order and then went out of their way to accommodate me in multiple ways. Highly recommend, didn't even think to use escrow for over $700.

Caveman-Vegas 2018-02-13 0.22000000 Reference Another great escrow with Phil. Quick responses, very easy to work with. I highly recommend his services.

Caveman-Vegas 2018-02-09 20.00000000 Philip was the escrow for a transaction I did— I was the buyer. Everything went flawlessly.

Thank you!

JaredKaragen 2018-01-30 0.00550000 Reference Purchased a processor. Prompt replies and shipping info given. I would definitely do business with Phil again in the future.

Raymond_B 2018-01-26 0.05000000 Purchased a GTX 1070ti from Phil, it was promptly shipped and delivered. Thank you!

BenRickert 2018-01-25 1.50000000 I purchased an Antminer S9 from Philipma1957 directly. I've had previous experiences dealing with him that gave me confidence to trust him. I sent him the LTC payment prior to the miner arriving at his residence, knowing it was arriving 2-3 hours later. It did, and Philip immediately took it to the UPS location and shipped it in a double box, unopened from the original
Bitmain packaging. It arrived on schedule and is hashing away as I type. Philipma is 100% trustworthy and always goes the extra mile.

Dear users of bminer, I need your help😅 i was starting mining month ago, so pretty much newbie👏👏
Met a problem with my 12gpu rig
-Armor msi 1060 6gb
-b250 12 slots (China model)
-intel celeron 2930 = garbage
-ssd 60gb
-ddr4 4gb
Bminer properly work with 10gpu if I use command -devices 0,1....10, anyway it takes a wild to start work😓😢😢
But when I am trying to put all of 12, it show me 0 hashrates, and did not finish starting, i was waiting about 30 minutes and it is still not benchmark the last 2, Do you have any solutions?!
P.s There are no errors, seems like bminer need more time, but I do not have so much passion so the maximum of waiting 30-40min
Thanks in advise!

is that pos celeron replaceable?

if it is not  bminer may not work well for you.

next question  do you run win 10?

if you run win 10 do you use msi afterburner?

cheap shitty cpus  like the celeron   really should be on a linux based piece of gear

I would try to run that rig on smos  simplemining.net

20686  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: DragonMint 16TH/S halongmining.com on: March 21, 2018, 11:45:23 AM
Thank you CK!  Yes, it will be released under GPL request, however, it is still being prepared for that.  A bit more final step announcements are being prepared by Halong Mining and once that is officially out, then you get to see the naked dragon's underbelly.

and phil, please email your shipping info to usual email or leave it in PM please.

Has Halong released their version of cgminer that supports overt asicboost? I'm curious to see how the finding the colliding work items has been implemented.
Not yet, no. They'll have 30 days from delivering hardware to release their software under the terms of the GPL (provided someone asks for the code who has the hardware.) If they don't release it after that time, I will myself anyway since I've been working on their driver for the last 2 weeks.

Thank you

@ yankees

yes  an asic company  with  a gpu type repair setup even if it is parts and self service  and not rma.

Or calling me in NJ  and I drive to Maryland but not this black hole style  of rma other asic  companies offer.

This was the biggest reason I pushed hard for gpus  for the last 2 year.

Repairs were good.

this is  a front office clerical issue  I posted to show it  here and pretty much  egg on bitmain  via shame to see how fast they fix it.
I have purchased a lot of gear from them.  Used myrig a lot with yoshi and I don't break balls  but I am a 50 to 100 k in gear each year guy  not a 1 million a year

@ gotminer

Metroid

He is a master of the half truth propaganda method of blogging.

But  the truth  he did reveal is there was a lot of asic's mining secretly on 'gpu' coins.

He just left out the  algo switch.

bitmain mentions the switch on the 3000 and 1900 dollar batches

20692  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Monero Miners In Uproar After Panic Algorithm Change Due to ASICs Coming Online on: March 21, 2018, 12:25:18 AM
As someone mentioned above, its highly likely that Bitmain was already mining with these ASICs for months. I think this is the case with many 'ASIC resistant' coins, where large company with lots of resources may have already built ASICs in private and are mining with them. The threat of forking the blockchain is what stops them from publicly making money selling those ASICs though.

So if this is correct, what makes anyone think that ethash difficulty will sky rocket once these asic's hit the public streets?  Aren't they just selling off used miners that they have already used to cause a spike in difficulity?  Especially interested in what Metroid thinks about that.

Well if done correctly gpus get a massive boost here we shall soon see.

Bitmain is less forthcoming about it, and at the time did not want it known publicly as they had already decided among their customer base who would benefit most from the training. When I send RMAs to bitmain, its usually at least 250-300 units and I am one of their top large scale customers so im pretty sure thats why I was targeted. They even took us out on a yacht!

I know this isnt a really good description of what im trying to say, but from the pictures posted Avalon looks alot more "first world" in their manufacturing and build process than what I saw at bitmain. Much cleaner, nicer facility, much more attention to detail.

Right  bitmain  will work with a million dollar a year client.

But leave the 50,000 to 100,000 a year buyer out in the cold.

I have purchased about 260,000 in gear from them last 4 years.  I get okay service from  Yoshi at MyRig, but  simple issues such as the one today won't be addressed

Their website won't generate a BCH address to pay them I used my last coupon
So I am out the order and the coupon.
I will need to send a dozen emails of complaint  for the 200 coupon or just say fuck it.
This will be the third fuckover since dec of 2017   total about 350 in cash

Canaan has been better for the most part with service to me.

This is why buysolar and I will be looking forward to working with them.

We are east coast maybe we could get a west cost person and a middle of the country person involved with this.

Matti would do Europe.  Well we will see what Canaan has in plan for us.

So I place and order today  use my last $200 coupon and  the  website  says it can not generate a bch address.

So I am out the coupon and no order.
So I will post back to see if others lost coupons

@ bitmain  give me my coupon back

I am glad to see the trip worked well for you.

My partner buysolar will be making the trip for training.

Both of us will be doing USA support  if all works out.

I look forward to this trip that  Sky (buysolar)  takes and look forward to a new step into the cryptoworld as a support rep/trainer for Canaan.

Buysolar is due to do trip in early April  and I will also be posting here  with his impressions.

I am hoping Steve  would send us  some spare parts  to cover the USA service needs once we get this fully going.

We have room  at the solar array for parts storage and even actual working on gear.

The goal would be to end the slow asic  rma issues that hurt the industry.

I just leave it here Smiley

I wish the BTC had a balls to make such a move like they did! But I do fear that BTC core team and huge industrial miners make love under the hood Tongue Welcome to BTC-CARTEL

When asics hit btc, chinese already dominated mining and votes, so nothing core could do to prevent it cause they are the largest coinholders. Bitcoin has not been decentralized for a long time and the bitcoin price manipulation is huge, they crash the market when they want and buy bitcoin when they want.

You forgot to add how they buy btc or bch

They do it by selling marked up asics such as the x3
20699  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Has Bitcoin mining ever been so unprofitable? on: March 20, 2018, 04:41:19 PM
Mine and HODL. Calculate profits only when you sell. It's fine, everything will be ok. BTC 2020 here we come!

this is the way to go.

and btc is cresting up again 8800

it was 7300  the other day.

so 7300 to 8800 in  2 days  a factor of 1.2

means  in 2 more days   March 22

8800 x 1.2 = 10560

2  more days                 March 24

10560 x 1.2 = 12672

2 more days                   March 26

12672 x 1.2 = 15206

2 more days                 March  28

15206 x 1.2 = 18247

2 more days                  March 30

18247 x 1.2 = 21896     all time high!!

2 more days

21,896 x 1.2 =  26275   On April Fools day!     Grin

So as you see that is silly stupid optimistic

just like the negative stuff on this thread  projecting doom and gloom  are silly stupid pessimistic.

It is very likely  cryptocoins move on  as they have been doing with ups and downs.

Hopefully we will move upwards  starting today.  In a sane manner and go  past 10k  in april.

@ yankees  kill-a-watt  on thurs.

My wife had a dental emergency so I have been busy with real world stuff.

So far I think Bminer is a little better then dstm.

My real  issue with all of these zec miners  is not which is better  it is that all developers stay at 2%  for the fee.

2%  is way too high of a fee.   But with only a few programs to pick  the developers simply match  each other's fee.

I would love to see one of them do 1%  just to shake the game up.

hint hint.

zec is 250 usd a coin

pretend  ebwf dstm claymore bminer

 mine 80%  combined

or 20% each  do the math

market cap is  860 million x 20% = 176 million x 2% = 3.52 million in fees

now that is not true  since most coins were mined at less then 250usd a coin

but   a 2% fee  is price fixing on developers part.  they all set it there and don't compete .

If bminer is 1-3% better then dstm  as I think it is.

and bminer reduced its fee to 1%  he would make out and be a leader  in the zec software sector.

Only morons would mine other zec software. I would think he would 3x his share  which would indeed make money for him.

But he won't  and this is my gripe with software developers not a lot of them and they price fix fees.

They don't ever have to say a single word or talk to each other to fix the fees.  Simply read each other's thread  and match each other's fees.
