my first gambling experience with bitcoin was on the famous faucet called freebit.co.in (not sure about the url) but it was giving a good amount on each claim every hour and there was this multiply section that worked as a dice site. so after a week of claiming i started using it from 1 satoshi (martingale method) and after an hour i lost all of it to one bad lucky streak ;(

faucets onthese sites are paying so little that you can't get anywhere with them, the only way that using a faucet might work for you is that if you get like 1000 satoshi and use a big multiplier like 99x or 999x and get super lucky and after this win slow down.

As the title says, is the halving good or bad for the price of bitcoin?
The halving will decrease the supply of bitcoin, whole keeping the demand, so that would make bitcoin worth more.
But the halving will make mining profitibilty worse, meaning less miners, a higher trans. fee, and maybe causing a smaller demand.
What's your verdict?
I think bitcoin will still go up, as the fees might, let's say, double, but that's still a smaller transaction fee than through the banks...
U think that it is very good for bitcoin because price will rise, and when price of bitcoin rises of course that it is very good for bitcoin Just i am afraid that after halving price of bitcoin will fall because everyone will sell them it is good for bitcoin not because of price but because it slows down the speed of creating new coins, which will work towards creating a fixed amount of bitcoin in circulation (the max amount) the price rise is just a speculation.

the potential for a big rise is there, but the initiative for the rise is not yet created.
this initiative can be a good news like regulation in a big country or block size or it can be another willy bot

i haven't used the service yet, buy from reading the explanation of how the lending works i can tell you that they are not going to pay you back. the borrower borrows money to trade and if he can't make a profit he will not have enough to pay you back unless he deposits more.

So if you have any ideas of some programs that should help users of Bitcoin , please shoot ! I'm open for ideas . (Projects that I will make will obviously be Open source so there is no need to worry , I'm not here to infect anyone. Just to help the community)
Remember when windows 7 has a Gadget feature? Did you know that feature still exists in win 8 and 10 ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) Would be cool if you can make a gadget specifically made for Bitcoin Maybe you can put Bitcoin live price checker that updates every 10 minutes or so Maybe another feature to check your BTC balance by using blockchain API (Don't know if this is possible) But hey, it worth the try ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) When you say live price checker , do you mean something like preev.com ? If it's the case then It shouldn't be that hard to do . Same thing goes for your second request, however for what comes to the Trading bot it may take sometime since it require a lot of work. It still can be done though, I may work on it after couple of months when I'm really available (All summer). Yep, just like preev does ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) But you don't have to open browser to just check the price ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif) Since Windows gadgets runs on the background you can still do your daily activities without checking the browser very 5 seconds ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) And maybe an alert too when the price drops at a certain level or when the price goes up ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) What Program language are you using to develop this request ? Cheers ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) I'm using C# for almost everything honestly (for web, phone, desktop applications) , I just like it . if i remember correctly, the sidebar (windows gadget) in windows 7 was a security hole and was removed in the patches. p.s. i finally saw someone else who uses C# like me ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) i would love to see your source codes

Do you have a lucky number?
i thought i had a lucky number, and i have played a lot with that number but as it turned out it was and illusion ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) and i ran out of luck. i used 2.13x as my multiplier and had a good short run but i think i exhausted my luck on that number because it never worked again for me

A lot of people here gamble to become rich, but some do it for fun.
The question is, if you wake up tomorrow with 50 million dollars, would you still gamble for fun, or would you forget about gambling and do other stuff? Personally I think I would still gamble. I do it now, and I know I realistically will never get rich off gambling, because I barely do it and I don't risk much money, just for fun sometimes, to test my luck. So if I had a lot of money, I would do bigger gambles, but they would still enter in the "for fun" amount (for the new 50 million standard). For example, gambling 1K a month would be irrelevant, and winning with a 1K bet can give you big rewards if you are lucky. It would still be fun, in fact more fun, and it would be as non risky as it is now, in terms of going financially bankrupt.
of course i would still continue gambling even if i were super rich. actually if i were rich i could take more risks and have more fun even if i lose i wouldn't mind because there is always more where that came from.

How would you like to make a boatload of money and help take down the Federal Reserve Bank within 5 years? ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) this is the worst way of introducing bitcoin to others ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) because if bitcoin price doesn't go up as advertised by you in the first place or worse than that if price goes down as it does from time to time, then you will become the bad guy who scammed them out of their money especially if they are newbies with 0 interest in bitcoin and checking a price chart.

this is how any market works, even the oldest markets like Gold or forex or Dollar vs Eur prices change by going up and down. that is the nature of each market that is changing by "supply and demand"
the only difference is the size of the changes, and since bitcoin is a small market in comparison with other markets the changes are bigger.

i mostly use bitcointalk for all the news and information i need. for bitcoin : bitcoin disscussion, press, speculation, services disscussion and also for altcoin : the discussion section and also the altcoin announcements that i watch.
on top of that i use a couple of news sites like coindesk for news. also read up on Reddit subs related to bitcoin, crypto and some altcoins that i watch.

I've got some doge stuck there. No-one knows what is going on there. During Feb they started to open some wallets, but haven't done any more since March 2nd.
did you withdraw any of those coins yourself? i have mostly BTC which i can't withdraw and a couple of altcoins in small amounts which i could never withdraw also. and the blog post about the wallets that were opened (the list) is empty, it is this way from Feb and before.

my vote goes to May or June 2016 mostly because i think the rise needs more time for the accumulation phase and also there needs to be some kind of fuse to initiate the rise first in order to see it otherwise it can't just go up as much as we hope without any initiative.

i have never thought that bitcoin can "replace" fiat. i believe in bitcoin future and i like it but i think even if bitcoin gets big and reaches mass adoption, fiat is still going to be relevant, it might not exist as we know it today but it will not be removed by bitcoin.

i believe bitcoin has the potential to become much bigger than what it is right now. it just offers too many good features that can not be over looked. it just needs some time and more stability to get to that point where everybody is using bitcoin instead of PayPal and credit cards.

The best investments that you can make is that you can just make an investment in Bitcoin and that is will be very good in the future. But you never know what will happen of course with the value and that is the problem. But we will see for what is going to happen in the future.
altcoin market has some great oppertunities. You can win big time.. but you can also lose big time. altcoin market on the other hand has been super active as always. you can get double or triple your investment in some cases. this is what i love the most about the altcoin market. it never is boring, there is always a good opportunity for profit and sometimes big profits as big as 200-300 percent. but it is a risky business, and you have to be super careful at all times and try to stay aware of the market and the news in order to make less mistake than you make profit.

I have read and heard that one can earn and make good money with trading bitcoins.I also want to give it a shot.Everyone says the basic rule of trading is buy low and sell high but I am confused because which ever exchange I try,the buy rate is always higher than sell rate. How can one profit if sell rate is less than buy rate.If I buy at $390, the sell rate is $380
it is not that easy and "fast" you don't buy and then sell right after. first you find a low price lets say $400 then you place buy order to buy at $400 or wait and buy when the price is near that. they you place a sell order at a higher price lets say $420 now you wait until it gets filled. the important part is choosing the low and high prices. and remember that the wait part can be 1 minute to forever.

you have to ask yourself about how you can earn $120 (or equivalent in your currency) in a week then you get your answer to how you can have 0.3BTC in a week.
i see that you have skills in web design, this is good since you can search the forum for people looking for such things and work for them and get paid in bitcoin.

How to sign a message? by shorenap.s. can you explain more to us how did you lose your bitcoins? you know in order to prevent it from happening to others as well. was it keylogger or malware? phishing? was the wallet password protected? did you use TOR?

this question has an obvious answer: bitcoin because: - you are on a bitcoin forum ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) - bitcoin is faster - bitcoin is more secure - you pay way lower fees than paypal. - and the best reason for the last: Paypal has many ridiculous rules and you have to bend over backwards to obey them, not true with bitcoin
