you don't need a room

you can build a tunnel with this

http://www.farmtek.com/farm/supplies/prod1;ft_tekfoil_insulation;pg101382.html

wrap around this

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Apollo-Hardware-4-Shelf-NSF-Wire-Shelving-Rack-18-x60-x72/232663482915?

This rack can do 5 s-9s on each shelf

20 s-9s pull   28k-watts

there are a lot of ways to set gear up.

a 20 amp 240 volt circuit  will do 2 s-9s
you don't need pdus
each circuit can go to one outlets

https://www.ebay.com/itm/NEMA-L6-20R-20A-250V-Twist-Lock-Electrical-Plug-L6-20-Female-Receptacle/282880895372?

that outlet can run this cable

that cable can do 2 of these

20762  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bminer: a fast Equihash miner for CUDA GPUs (5.5.0) on: March 15, 2018, 02:13:17 AM
@ yankees it is simple.

Same 2 machines

they started at the same moment or maybe 1 moment apart.

I run for a day.

The bminer  one should earn more btc  then the dstm.

for the sake of arguement

lets say after 24 hours

the bminer  is at $4.60  the dstm miner is  at $4.50

I proved  that the bminer is better on machine a then the dstm miner is on machine b

If I simply switch  the miners  24 hours later

they should be close to a tie  4.60 + 4.50 = 9.10    for each one

that would prove  that the bminer  is faster on both machines.

I then switch and the machine  with the bminer should take the lead

4.60 + 4.50 + 4.60 = 13.70

the machine with dstm should drop

4.50 + 4.60 + 4.50 =  13.60

as I flip back and forth  if we repeat this over and over and over

a very good chance bminer is better then dstm

I am testing

bminer 5.5
dstm  0.6.0

same simple mining account

so it is only valid for smos  a linux based os.

I can only test smos  since the 2 omen pc's are in my friends office.

at the moment  bminer is leading with

0.00004344 btc to 0.00004219 btc   that pretty much matches  what the lead should be  but testing is very early.

If anyone is having a bad day with crypto market, remember that today in 1976 Roland Wayne sold his 10% stake in APPLE for $800. Now it's worth $58,065,210,000

Sweet news  thanks

hey anyone have a coupon for more then 200

I have a lot of 100's
I have one 200
But a big one would  be nice as I want to buy some more gear.

me bitmain email  is

philiparcario@yahoo.com

wish I have. got lots of 100s.
Am done with buying hardware, just spares when required.

Yeah I cut back a lot but figured if someone had a 300 or a 250 or any  other big coupon I would grab one more .
I had 17x 100 and when I ask a while back some one gave me a few 200's I grabbed some gear.

and I still have the 100's.

hwy, was ignoring bitmain's emails and just found out I have a 220$ coupon. Tried to donate but your email is not correct.

try just

philipma1957

see if it works.

If I  recall they may want that rather then my email.

got it?

yes thank you
20764  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bminer: a fast Equihash miner for CUDA GPUs (5.5.0) on: March 14, 2018, 10:25:28 PM
Scorpio, pools do not know your hashrate, they only estimate it.

and a 1 day test is not accurate as 900 sols could simply have a bad day  and vary a lot  as much as 10%  since the pool decides your rate by the shares you submit

May I ask how many days test would be more accurate Huh How to make the test more accurate? How about 3 days?

Okay
for testing bminer against dstm to test the software you need 2 identical rigs pointed to the same pool running simultaneously

you need 2 identical rigs..  test 3 days  in a row at the same time on the same pool from the same gigabyte switch

rig a on bminer rig b on dstm  after 3 day test reverse

rig b on bminer rig a on dstm after 3 day test reverse

rig a on bminer rig b on dstm after 3 day test reverse

rig b on bminer rig a on dstm after 3 day test stop and tally

in theory bminer should do a  better avg.

now I have two identical rigs  both are omen hp rigs with a pair of 1080ti's in them.

I did some testing with a lot of rigs pointed to   nicehash  but I will set up the omens  and leave them

running.

So I just  set up 2 rigs on simple mining

both are omen hp.co with
i5 8400 cpu
8 gb ram
750 watt psu
2x 1080ti's
clocks are
 130 core
 600 ram
  69c  temp
   73 fan
155 watts

clocks are the same

they  are pointed to new btc account at nicehash.  all that matters it the btc number all other stats are bullshit.  I pointed them within 1 minute of each other.

I will come back and show results in a day.

I will then show results in 2 days

and then show results in 3 days

the one one the left is dstm

20765  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GPU mining at low profit, is it worth at all? on: March 14, 2018, 04:00:52 PM
Hi everyone!

I'd like discuss the current situation with decreased profits concerning mostly all algos for GPU mining.
In my case there are 100 GRUs 1060 6gb, starting from last Jan it was around 350$ daily to this day roughly pulling upto 100 buk.
Which is a quiet sustantial decline for such a short period of time.

Let's share our pessimistic/optimistic prospectives regarding the future of GPU mining.

this is the wrong section  you need to be in alt coin

I asked mods to move it

20768  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: A3 Hashing Issue? on: March 14, 2018, 12:30:19 PM
Hi All,

Really need some help. I bought a antminer A3 off e-bay and the previous owner overclocked it. I've been running it off 110v for the past few days until I had 220v installed in my house yesterday. A couple of times since I've been running it, I noticed that the hashing would go down on certain boards and then go back up...and it cycled through the boards like this (going up and going down). Once I got xxx's across board 2 but, when I restarted the A3, they went away and things were working again like normal. Until this morning...

The A3 kept cycling through again (board 1 would go down to like 5/gh/s and then go back up, and then board 2 would go down while board one went up, then board 3...and so on). One board started showing 1-2 x's and then they all went to x's. But then within 2-3 minutes the x's went away. But it was still cycling through going up and down on hash rate. Since I have Awesome Miner I tried to reset it a couple of times remotely and I even restored it to factory settings. At first, it kept cycling through like I mentioned above but then, all of the sudden it started working again (up to 825 gh/s). And it's held speed that for a while.

All temps are OK - it's all very cool right now.

Any idea what would cause this? Is it a PSU issue or board issue?

first off this is an alt coin question.

may be connection to the pool issue  hard to tell.

what did you pay for it?
20769  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Octominer B8PLUS 8 PCIe Slot Mining Board (Motherboard, integrated CPU) on: March 14, 2018, 04:19:37 AM
It took me 48-72 hours to provide the documentation and get my account opened again. I’m sure there are variables to every case, but typically PayPal wants to resolve the issues if possible as they want to get a chunk of that money as well. They just want to limit losses via bad/fraudulent business. Once you prove you are neither the process moves pretty quick.

I did lots of eBay sales and I have had funds frozen for as long as 22 days.

And my eBay record is perfect.

My guess is a large order was backordered and funds were frozen until item reached the buyer.

So if I ordered on feb 26 and item arrives to me on March 20th

Funds freeze for 23 days.

So if someone purchased a 6000 usd order of mobos on feb 27 that money will stay frozen until March 20
20770  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Octominer B8PLUS 8 PCIe Slot Mining Board (Motherboard, integrated CPU) on: March 14, 2018, 03:50:29 AM
Based on that screenshot the issues they are having with PayPal are actually pretty common. When I started my video game business I had to go through the same thing twice in the first 2 months. When you first start a business and all of a sudden start doing a higher volume of money it raises red flags in PayPal’s systems and they freeze your account. It’s very disruptive business wise. I had to provide a bunch of documentation but once I did and created some history with my sales I didn’t have a problem since.

I would recommend providing the necessary documentation and most likely you would be able to resume PayPal business without further issue.

Yeah ,but it can take 60 days and that can kill cash flow.

So I can understand the issue they had that caused problem.

So in my case my order was only 224 usd.

But if they had a large order or two freezing 5000usd  or more it would cause them grief
20771  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Octominer B8PLUS 8 PCIe Slot Mining Board (Motherboard, integrated CPU) on: March 14, 2018, 03:35:40 AM
@ yankees he said he had a paypal issue he was working to fix.

I said I would wait til paypal was fixed then order.

I went to the site on Feb 26 and placed an order with paypal

So I figured paypal was fixed.

When I went to check on my order this morning to check on shipping.

There was a notice paypal was no longer accepted.

There was a second notice that my shipping was delayed.

So I formed an opinion that there was a lie.

Based on that info above.

I was missing this info below.

once he refunded me and he showed this info

I feel he was not lying about paypal.
I do a lot of sales and If paypal froze my money
I would not  want to take more paypal.
the info below shows  his paypal funds were frozen.

They posted about the PayPal issues a while back. PayPal froze their account due to being crypto related. Not sure of the legitimacy of the claim, but that’s what was posted a week or two ago. I’m not saying their product isn’t legit. I’m running the board and case with no issues, but their responses to my warranty issue have been super slow. I’m hoping it’s just a matter of them moving, but it doesn’t look good when you can post in breads promoting your new fully built rig but can’t handle customer concerns.

its a lie in my opinon. -------- I have changed my opinion

As I placed the order after he  said  he closed paypal.

When I ordered my date was 10-20  as you can see photo was altered.

I would hate to see a few people spend  a lot of btc on the fully loaded  gpus units to get nothing.

Requested refund today. from website.

I will follow up  but I feel there is an issue here.

Philip, we refunded your order.
Also, here is proof that our Paypal acc is still suspended even though we have uploaded all the info, including the tracking numbers.
We have weekly phone calls with Paypal to try to get our account unrestricted but it's not happening soon. We decided to ditch Paypal and we will have credit card processing up and running in the next few weeks.

Sad to see you are posting information here about us that is untrue. This creates a lot of stress for our customer support team who are doing their best every day and working hard to make sure each and every customer is satisfied!

can anyone guide me how to make money from CPU (altcoins)

sure  buy a cpu that will mine crpytonight your cpu is worthless  to mine anything.

but  a i5 6500  will earn a few pennies a day.

it will auto trade to  btc.

look at this account

https://www.nicehash.com/miner/1JdC6Xg3ajT3rge3FgPNSYYFpmf53Vbtje

it earns from 1-2 usd a day.

it is

 1 intel i7 6700t  150
 1 ryzen 1800x    550
 1 rx 560 gpu       320
 1 rx 460 gpu      320

total  of 1.33 kh to 2.0 kh of cryptonight  which autotrades to   btc

so your psu  won't register at all for xmr cryptonight    so it wont mine bro

the gear above costs more then 800 usd   and has almost brok even after 1 year of mining

20778  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Happy New Years! Seventh alt coin thread! on: March 13, 2018, 10:36:56 PM
Phill i have a question for you,i follow your threads and most of the time you say that you either point your rigs towards nicehash or you mine zec but dont see you mentioning mining other coins that bring more profit like signatum bitcore and raven durring that period. So i was wondering is there some special reason behind that like you think zec will be huge or you just dont love shitcoins Grin

Can't speak to phil, but I've found that those "higher profit" coins only tend to be higher profit for a day or two, then everyone "discovers" them swarms them and swamps the profitability back down to the "basket" range.
Too much work for me to "chase the profit" any more, as a general rule.

Yeah i get that part but still mining zec is on the lower part of profit..how about using multi pool/algo switchers like sniff dog or nplus miner, what do you think about them or is too much stress on gpus?

In my experience, you lose too much while switching to make up for any gains, most of the time.
The stress on your GPU would be lower, as it would have periods of just sitting around not actually mining while the algorithm gets initialized during switches.

that is where most people dont understand, if you set it up correctly there is literally nearly a flawless transition from algo to algo... you need to command line the intensity and difficulty level that your cards are stable at and the way you find these numbers is through tuning and letting it sit on an algo for lots of time to so how far it goes when it tries to auto change... i set all my intensity levels and diff levels, so when my cards change algo's im less than 5 seconds up to mining fully again and not starting over on diff and ramping back up..

in regards to diff level tuning, most pools only accept shares between 20-25/min, so when you start over at diff 1 and sending hundreds a minute, that is why you get those rejected shares and when you drop below 20/min typically you will start getting duplicate share or already been computed errors, so i static mine to the 24/25 range myself.

and in regards to profit switching, im not the type that chases the drastic spikes on coins, that shit is for the birds... i tried it once and my cards were switching every 2 minutes..
I have my switching setup based on 24hr actuals, i dont try to chase the most profitable spiking coin, i just want steady income on the highest algo possible. just taking a glance at one of my rigs,
uptime: 71 days 4 hrs, switched count 107.....

so its only switched 107 times in a 71 day period, so it averaged a switch every 1.5 days basically.... my 7 day average right now is $3.41 per 1080ti per day with the most time spent on x17

and when done to perfection by many miners it flattens out all prices on all coins  which is the worse possible case.

but if a handful do it like you do they will do okay

I would have said the same had I not seen them posting frequently on reddit threads and numerous times today. They are releasing a prebuilt miner with 8 rx 580 8gb cards for like $4200. So they posted that as well as responses to people but every time I ask about my board I get no response. Not impressed with the customer service so far.

I think I will be putting in a paypal claim soon.

I advise all to no longer place orders .

He ended paypal.

I think there is an issue here and he may be not that good.

if you could post this on reddit thread it may save people some coin
