2081  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018 -7-10] Decentralized Exchange Bancor got hacked on: July 15, 2018, 10:11:26 AM
The "headline" is misleading of course, as usual. The only thing that got hacked were their own wallets due to their lack of basic security - no user wallets can get hacked on a decentralised exchange because "they" don't have access to the keys - the wallet owners do, that's the whole point of decentralisation. The only way a wallet can get hacked is if it is kept online & if the keys are not secured, it's basic security that the average joe user is aware of - but not Bancor exchange apparently.

A truly decentralised exchange is as safe as a truly decentralised network. 99.9% of wallet hacks are due to lapse/non-existent security.

Nothing new here.

yes, basically the owner's wallets got hacked, not the decentralized exchange, per se
evidently no users lost their money ,since they didn't use the exchange as a middleman
now expect articles on how even decentralized exchanges are not safe from hackers
2082  Economy / Gambling / Re: GoUp.bet | Provably Fair Dice | *** 10 LTC Promo Started *** | Only 5 days Left on: July 14, 2018, 08:47:50 PM
User with highest chat activity will receive 100 Doge every hour. We will have the right to cancel or pause this offer anytime.

Hourly automated rainbot added, active users will receive rains every hour from the house.

its a realy nice promotion! cudos admin
but you should watch for the multi accounts the sole purpose of which is to recieve rain and try to tip ech other
to try and circumvent the minimal withdrawal limit
I always say that the social aspect of the game is very important:build a community around your site-be successful
2083  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: RollBurst.com - A New Casino for Burst Coin with Faucet - FREE 25 BURST COINS on: July 14, 2018, 07:55:32 PM
We are giving free 25 BURST COINS for every user.. Visit www.rollburst.com to claim the free coins...

is the offer still standing?
ah,never mind-found the huge seizuregiving banner on the site  Grin
25 burst coins but you want my whatsup number? 0.33$ is not really worth it,you should think of something that doesn't invade privacy of the players
if someone  wanted to abuse it,he would find a way,but legit players would think hell no (so did I)
at least I can try the site with the free faucet, which is cool, don't have any burst at the moment to deposit
2084  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018/07/11]Crypto Wallet Founder Believes Bitcoin Could Hit $60,000 This Year on: July 14, 2018, 04:25:53 PM
If there somehow is a problem concerning regulations, then the lack of clarity would be it.

Back in 2013 there was no such a thing as regulatory pressure. After the peak the market corrected back to way more appropriate levels, and the same is happening right now. There is no single reason responsible for the decline other than it being a healthy correction and that the market has to eat through the excess of coins that have been pumped into circulation, and this takes time. Currently we have gone through the correction part largely, and now it's a matter of getting rid of the circulating coins.

Regardless of how long it takes, it will only make Bitcoin stronger and it increases its base value. The fewer people hold coins they bought between $1-$1000 the stronger the market will become, because these coins will be bought by people paying at least $6000 for them. That's why I like these peaks, if there is one way to tempt old hands to sell, then it's a crazy ass bull run.

add to the bullish trend the  unprofitability of mining bitcoins at the moment, 6.000$ price and >10 cents electricity cost=mining at a loss
this should force some miners to put their farms on pause or mine and hold  the coins instead of selling at a loss
figures like 50-60k this year do seem unlikely to me,but if we saw 1$ to 19.000 why would not we see 6.000 to 60.000,even if not in a few month's time?
2085  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [13-07-2018]Another Wild Price Speculation? Abra CEO Expects BTC to Reach $50k on: July 14, 2018, 04:01:42 PM
if only I could get a satoshi for each and every price prediction, sigh
frankly,we all are expecting BTC to reach 50.000$ and more, don't see why people think it is just another wild speculation
6.000 to 50.000 is 700% increase only, how about 0.2$ to 19.000 increase? and it happened
it is going to happen, the question is how soon, maybe not this year
2086  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-07-12] Crowdsale KYC is Fueling a Black Market for Fake ID on: July 14, 2018, 10:49:50 AM
it is worth mentioning that many of the ICOs are adding gas to the fire by supplying ID's to the market
I see it as a Fake ID cycle where you get a fake id to enter an ICO then this shady ICO sells your fake id and your data
to some others who want to enter-a perfect circle
2087  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [13-07-2018] Scammers to Leak Users Masturbation Vids Demands Bitcoin Ransom on: July 14, 2018, 10:04:45 AM
lesson: try to not keep electronic devices nearby on while you are tug-of-warring  Grin
but seriously, who would pay for that video not to be leaked is missing half of a brain
unless you are some celebrity,of course, but thats a whole different story, this should be the least of your problems
2088  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What to make bitcoin a popular payment method? on: July 13, 2018, 08:10:25 PM
well,Bitcoin need operations per second more than anything at the moment
you cannot compete with VISA or Mastercard or any other payment system if you can only manage 3-7 transactions per second
while your future competitors do 3000 per second already and capable of > 56.000 per second
Lightning network is here to alleviate this bottleneck, but it is more on paper rather real life implemented
2089  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Belgium has 8 Bitcoin ATM machines on: July 13, 2018, 07:11:31 PM
Hello everyone I have a news.
In Belgium there are total 8 Bitcoin ATM machine.

In Antwerp 3 ATMs
In Brussels 2 ATMs
In Ghent 1 ATM
In Hasselt 1 ATM
In Sint-Truiden 1 ATM

Does anyone know anything about this topic?

yeah Belgium has 8 ATM for not too big of a country it is ok,I guess
before I used to follow the bitcoin ATM locations at coindesk  https://www.coindesk.com/bitcoin-atm-map/
but they discontinued the updates,it is no longer maintained, there is one more: https://www.buybitcoinworldwide.com/bitcoin-atms/ ,but
https://coinatmradar.com/  sems to be the most popular and updated site
it must be only adding ATM's though,I can see for sure that one of my citie's ATM has been off for a year, yet still listed on the map  Tongue
so take this with a pinch of salt, but all in all-cute service ,so you can see bitcoin march across the globe
2090  Economy / Gambling / Re: Telegram Dice Gambling Bot (BTC/LTC/DOGE) on: July 13, 2018, 06:53:42 PM
Is this still working or not??? No responses from the bot. I tried to run it on my telegram desktop version but it's been unresponsive from the start. From my experience, I don't trust telegram bots  but, just wanted to check it out.
I tested this bot before and I just tried to start a conversation again. It looks fully operational to me, it responds instantly. The dialogue, however, still seems a bit unappealing, as the bot asks one to deposit at least 0.0001 btc. It is almost nothing, I agree, but the even more disturbing fact is that the minimum withdrawal sum is 5 times as much. I really think some kind of a free mode or a small faucet is needed, because how can one deposit money without knowing how things will go afterwards with a bot?

well, you cannot really test it fully without depositing, playing and then successfully withdrawing something
but I would treat it as a novelty and a fun, unusual way to lose your 10-100k satoshi rather than a place to gamble
among the usual questions of minimal withdrawal and such, there is a question of provably fair too
if the owner could explain how can we verify that the rolls are fair and not manipulated in any way?
2091  Economy / Gambling / Re: ▂▃▅▆█ BITSLER █▆▅▃▂🎁NEW UPDATE★★★WORLD CUP PROMO★★★🎁 on: July 13, 2018, 06:29:53 PM
Just checked how many bets there is now or as I post and I was surprised to see its 27.3 billion bets so far and I am not going to be surprised if within this month, Bitsler hits 28 Billion bets. Expect that Bitsler will not just take it sitting down, expect that owner will come up with something to keep us from playing in Bitsler and not move to another site.

I sincerely hope he will keep us playing at Bitsler , the billionth bets targets are always followed by fantastic events
Bitsler holds the best and the most generous giveaways across all other gambling sites hands down
I really enjoyed the World Cup promo as well,it is fun to "hedge" your real life bets in fantasy sports and see if it hits
never hit for me though  Grin hopefully the 3rd place game and the finals will be more rewarding
2092  Economy / Gambling / Re: >> BuySportsPicks.net | PROFESSIONAL SPORTS BETTING PREDICTIONS < on: July 13, 2018, 06:00:25 PM
Up about 13 units today on CS:GO. Good day
You can see more stats on this thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4600753.msg41524549

great call for BIG to win mate , woaah was able to catch it at X4.58 in pinnacle and didn't expect it to win
so far so good with you 6/6 of the picks followed , this is the first start ever I had with any of the tipsters that I follow

still not able to find some of your selections like a cerain play to score more than another player but I'm able to find the winner line and the over/under rounds

tomorrow I will update my thread and you can see your results there for the picks that I followed

looks interesting,with 6/6 predictions correct
all of the "tipsters" here at bitcointalk are going amiss after the first batch of failed predictions
and the ones that claim to have "professional" sites charge outrageous fees for the same sort of failed results
will follow sysgambler's topic to see the progress on this one
do you do only e-sports or regular sports like football, tennis etc.?

TheZucc only tip csgo games , but there is another guy who tips football as well but I wasn't able to follow two of his pre-live picks and profited 0.22 units
his selections so far are hard to find in the popular sites , he tips like X player to have over/under x shots on targets and some other bets that I wasn't able to find a bookie taking them

what I like about TheZucc is he doens't just tip the favor like many of the tipsters here do , he has good plays tipping the underdog at X4.58 and it won
so I like his selections but I'm still fairly new to his service and he offered me access to the site so I can show the community here if he is profitable or not

at this moment he is the only tipster here in the forums that I really like following

yeah it is only working when a tipster specializes on one or two sports only
you cannot be jack of all trades,I ve seen not so many successful bettors that bet on several sports either
it was an impressive run,but to judge you have to see the results over some period of time
there are lucky and unlucky streaks,it is inevitable, but whats important if the tipster has a cool head and doesn't chase losses or changes his betting pattern because of the streaks
I am watching your thread closely Smiley hopefully you will profit and bring more users to their site too (well if they do not suck like the majority of other tipsters)
2093  Economy / Gambling / Re: Project Bravio on: July 13, 2018, 05:17:21 PM
It's an interesting idea but I'd be worried the platform would be dominated by a few players that group up to game the system.

Would it also be provably fair?

thats a good question, usually PVP games are difficult to verify in terms of fairness
since admins have access to the hashes and can simply create an account and bet against you
this is almost impossible to control and many sites tried and failed, name a famous PVP gambling site out of the head?
2094  Economy / Gambling / Re: Project Bravio on: July 12, 2018, 08:44:09 PM
I like the idea and the "white paper"
but since you don't have the project complete just yet, would not it be better to post this in project development instead
not sure how close ou are to going live, but I will surely be waiting for this one, something new and a breath of fresh air
2095  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online casino for USA residents? on: July 10, 2018, 08:47:21 PM
I agree with the VPN suggestion; I've personally gambled with VPNs and proxies on various online crypto casinos with a few hundred dollars per site and I haven't been caught yet. There's definitely some risk involved with using a VPN, but I dont think it's incredibly high and I'm willing to take that risk. KYC's really the bigger issue with casinos now as it really takes away your options if you don't want to verify yourself. Searching's your best friend when you're trying to find what sites require KYC- some sites require it on withdraw or something of the sort to prevent winners from withdrawing.

As for 777coin, I've never had any issues with the casino but I also haven't played on their platform a lot. I'm also a US resident for reference.

many casinos frown if you are using VPN
especially if it is a public free VPN or a cheap one like Nord VPN etc.
they would try not to pay you under a pretext of you using multiple accounts, which can be not far from truth from their point of view
since there might be another guy playing at the same casino using the same VPN and country

777coin and its sister site bitvest.io never had any problems with the US residents
you can deposit and withdraw without any hassle or KYC of any kind
2096  Economy / Gambling / Re: BitCrash.us -- The Social Gambling Game (Faucet Available) on: July 10, 2018, 08:06:24 PM
the only social about the game that it has chat Smiley
at least all of the bustabit v1 clones should have one, haven't registered here yet
what makes you think that your site that doesn't have an updated license  has any chances to be a success?
this game was supposed to have a 1% house edge
with your bonus system, the 1% goes to the pot,how does the house profit then?

2098  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Deposit Altcoins and withdraw bitcoin? on: July 10, 2018, 06:20:45 PM
you can do it at fairlay as far as I know
but if you want to simply convert your coins you can try any of the gambling sites that have inbuilt exchanges
Bitsler has one,but you need to level up before you can use it,yolodice has one and duckdice has one as well
if you want to save on the fees, the lowest withdrawl fees are at yolodice, but they take % for the exchange
the best exchange rate i found was at bitsler and only 20k satoshi to withdraw bitcoins to your wallet

The World Cup event is almost complete. Semifinals are in sight. So is the Bitsler World Cup contest coming to an end soon. There are already many lucky people from this event. With the remaining of 4 games left, hopefully more users will feel the enjoyment of this event!

an awesome event with great prizes
got my predictions for the semifanls, hope I win some Smiley
the only thing that is confusing is the goals timing,if I manage to get it correctly do I get extra 25 points for each goal?

Good idea but not convenient for users, good luck!

there are plenty of other sites specialized on dicing
this one is made for those who want to put an occasional bet or two on telegram
think this idea is not very new too, duckdice introduced their own telegram bot not so long ago
it wasn't very popular at all, despite the promotional offers they had-people just took the free money offered and forgot about it
