2081  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New LUNA vs. Classic LUNA on: May 17, 2022, 11:21:54 PM
Im not sure about that but since the proposal already released to the public and the distribution will be used the current total supply and i have heard someone mentioned if 1 millions luna will be getting around 14 - 15 new luna token. The main problem is the new people who bought at the bottom will be getting the new tokens and im sure that those whales who have bought at the peak price will be getting less and less. The maximum supply for the new luna was around 1 billion.
People will be getting small amounts of luna from the airdrop which have been getting so many complaints against it.

Yes, and whatever the setup or reconstruction of the New Luna, there will still be losers in here. And with the new Luna having around like 1 billion in token, I doubt that the price will go up because of the huge max supply. Nevertheless the plan might look good for others, instead of losing all their money, at least they have something to compensate themselves and should be happy to at least get back half of the money they lost in this debacle.
2082  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: May 17, 2022, 01:49:26 AM
First game is Heat vs Celtics.

Heat slight favor this game one, but not that much in the ML line.

While the handicap open at -/+1.5. I haven't decided which to bet yet in this game. Very hard to predict as both are very complete lineup and ready to play.
2083  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price Potential to Drop in the $32k Area on: May 17, 2022, 12:30:00 AM
The graph you made two week ago turned out to be true that bitcoin fell to the $32k area. I had thought that the bitcoin price would not go down to the $32k level but it turns out that what we are seeing at the moment the bitcoin price continues to weaken and move bearish until it drops to the $29k area.

And we are still in the $29k area, unfortunately, there is no strength to even manage to pull above $30k although there are moment when the price hits $31k but no momentum whatsoever as investors continue to sell.

It is likely that the crypto market will continue to decline and the price of bitcoin has the potential to drop to around $25k in the next few weeks.

Most likely this month will be horrible to us, possible to drop to $25k if the selling pressure is still there. As I have said, 7 weeks in red candle and still counting, that really bad as far as technical indicators is concern.
2084  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: May 15, 2022, 02:47:15 AM
Anyone on the Castano vs Charlo rematch?

Odds are, ML:

Charlo 1.50
Castano 2.55

That's a great odd for the underdog and he seems to be hell bent on avenging his close and controversial lost to Castano (split draw).

Yes, the first fight is very close and it can go either way. But I think in the rematch, Charlo who is the more athletic one, will make the right adjustments in the rematch and could win by late stoppage in my book.

No doubt that Castano is good, but maybe he just caught Charlo at the bad moment and almost beat him. But not this time though, Charlo is going to show that this fight is not going to be close like the first fight and it might no go to the judges scorecard.
2085  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 31st South East Asian Games on: May 15, 2022, 02:08:35 AM
I have heard that the interest of a wide audience (especially young people) is declining even for events like the Olympics, I would like to know how things are with such local competitions. Maybe the situation is reversed here? After all, it is unlikely that Vietnam can dominate so much anywhere else, so those competitions where the athletes of your country are very successful should be more attractive.

Good question. I think for locals, it's more of just a way to let say get a scholarship in school if you are really good in sports and maybe you can represent your country in this kind of events which I think it big in Southeast Asia. And who knows, they can eventually conquer the Olympics. So I wouldn't say that it is declining for young people, but this could be a way for them to get out of poverty.

Some countries in SEA doesn't have Olympic medals yet, so it they win in SEA games and then by chance won the first gold medal in Olympics it will be a huge honor for them and the government will shower them with money. Just like what the recent Olympic champion Diaz brought to the Philippines, winning it's first Gold medal, returning to the country as hero and then given huge sums of money by the Philippine government.

that's where olympic medalist usually starts their journey. it is indeed high honour for these athletes to snatch gold esp in olympics because most asean countries have very low to none of these olympic gold. so if anyone got it, it is already a big deal for the country, hence, giving all the possible cash rewards and other benefits to show support to the athlete.
good thing that this pandemic has not affected the scheduling of this event. we may be continuously seeing sports events going back to normal again.

Right, and there was also the case of Joseph Schooling, we made the splash (no pun intended) to win the 100m butterfly gold in 2016 for Singapore, their first. And he done it in fashion, beating the great Michael Phelps. But it all began in this kind of games in Southeast Asia.

And speaking of him, they were DQ yesterday in men’s 4x100m freestyle relay.

Quote
HANOI: Their scores had flashed on the screen at the My Dinh Water Sports Palace and they were halfway through giving their interviews when the quartet of Joseph Schooling, Mikkel Lee, Quah Zheng Wen and Jonathan Tan were told that they had been disqualified from the men’s 4x100m freestyle relay.

The Singaporeans had earlier won the race on Saturday (May 14) evening with a time of 3:17.19 ahead of Malaysia and Vietnam. But official results later disqualified Singapore and Malaysia.

2086  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price Potential to Drop in the $32k Area on: May 14, 2022, 04:20:50 AM
^^ From the looks of the trading volume, I don't think it will be just a easy sailing to reach $30k or higher. The consensus is that expect more selling throughout this month as indicators shows that we are still very bearish despite hitting $30k.

And if I'm not mistaken, this is the longest that we have seen of red bars, straight 7 weeks. Indication that this decline might continue as we haven't hit the bottom yet.
2087  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinbase blackout on: May 14, 2022, 03:49:40 AM
I guess it might due to the bear cycle and perhaps competition. But I guess Coinbase is still up there with Binance and so maybe they've lost big money. Not seeing though that they will just immediately go bankrupt. They have been in the exchange niche already and had ventures outside if I'm not mistaken. So there is still some money coming in but due to the bear cycle is it expected that it might go down a bit as well. But come bull runs, like last year, Coinbase will make a lot of money again.
2088  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: May 14, 2022, 03:15:55 AM
What a game by Boston Celtics now, it looks like we are going to see a game 7 in this series,  Grin.

It's not over yet, it was just in the 3rd quarter, but they have built a good lead and I don't know if Giannis or Jrue Holiday can carry the team again in the 4th. If they did they we will have another massive comeback from them.
I thought Celtics will choke again like what happened in game 5 when Bucks cuts it to four in Q4 but Tatum really stepped up to keep the lead up. Although his teammates couldn't contribute well in the scoring, they did well to defend.

Another 40+ points from Giannis but he's too tired to do anything in the final five minutes. Imagine scoring almost half of the total team's score (44 out of 95) Grin

Yeah, I remember last game, in a blink of an eye, the Bucks take the lead and won the game. But the good thing is that the Celtics learn from that mistakes and Tatum come true in clutch. As for the Bucks, it was Giannis but it was evident that he can't play like this every game. He need someone to back him up and in this game, no one. Holiday? nah, this kind of situation is very evident that they really need Middleton.
2089  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Celtics vs Bucks 2nd round Series. on: May 14, 2022, 02:33:15 AM
Good game by the Celtics on the road, they allow Giannis to score 40+ points, but limited Holiday and I think he didn't score any points in the 3rd quarter and score only 3 points in the second half.

We are not tied 3-3 and going to a game 7 at Boston Garden. Chances of the Celtics to ruin Giannis is high although the Bucks won game 5 here.
2090  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: May 13, 2022, 11:30:37 AM
^ One thing that go with Warriors and Bucks is that they can close it out in their home court. And we all know that most of the times, home court advantage is a big factor in playoffs. I mean you have all the crowd behind you. So specially this two teams to advance to their respective division's final, I don't think they wanted to see another game. So I see a very close game between the Warriors and the Memphis, same with the Bucks and Celtics. And I will be leaning towards the home team here.
2091  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Azbit is a scam exchange on: May 13, 2022, 10:39:15 AM
Not familiar with this exchange, but it seems it hasn't established any reputation yet. And I don't know how you have tons of token with them? Is this airdrop or something?

Anyhow, takes for giving us the warnings this early and hopefully no one will fall for this exchange. 0.025 ETH for transaction fee is really high and maybe they think that they can get away with this kind of fees.
2092  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Crawford vs Spence on: May 13, 2022, 09:54:21 AM
I'd also love to watch this fight. This has to happen sooner rather than later. This should happen while both are still in their prime and are undefeated. The moment either one of them gets a stain in his record, this fight wouldn't anymore be as anticipated and exciting.

As regards the odds, I think Crawford will be the favorite but the difference won't be that big. As regards who will possibly win, I think Crawford will.

Both men fought Porter and while Spence only won via split decision, Crawford won via TKO. In their match with Brook also, Spence knocked him out in the 11th while Crawford in the 4th. This is, of course, not a solid basis but I think, on the overall, Crawford has a much higher boxing IQ than Spence.

I agree with the boxing IQ, I would favor Crawford for that as it was evident in his previous fights. I mean he can adjust in the middle and then knock out his opponent. He can go to southpaw and orthodox and still be very effective.

So he might be a slight favor here, maybe 1.7 initially or higher and then Crawford 2.x but it will get closer as we near the fight of course as fans of Crawford might put big money that could sway the odds.
2093  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bearish market continues? on: May 13, 2022, 09:34:27 AM
I feel like the drop was understandable because Luna literally caused a big storm with what happened there. I mean it shouldn't have happened, but it did because people didn't invest in decentralized projects or even centralized but trustworthy backing (bnb for example). So we are going to live this many times in a row, what happens when SOL goes out? Who can guarantee that it won't? What about Avax? Or Matic? Hell, the whole NFT market could crash if opensea is down. So we shouldn't really expect this to be the last time market crashed because of one project, there is a good chance it could repeat.

I wouldn't say it understandable, if and only if Luna didn't put all their capital and hedge against bitcoin, maybe we won't be affected like this as the market plunges and it causes panic. At least, it seems to be the bleeding has stop somewhat as we are trading in the $30k after yesterday's price of $28k.

It's not the investors fault, it's all on the shoulder of Luna's people, they should have a least billions in dollars as well so that they can cope and cover when their stable coins went to $0.60.
2094  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA _ Phoenix Suns vs Dallas Mavericks - 2nd round on: May 13, 2022, 09:02:15 AM
This series has really become about home court advantage. There is still a lot of time in the second half but I already stopped watching after Suns trailed by as many as 20 points. I'm still rooting for the Suns to wrap it up but that's unlikely to happen in Dallas. See you in game 7. I expect that to be more physical and intense.

Yeah, and with the Suns being the top seed, they have the homecourt in game 7. I don't know what will be the key difference, but I think Ayton has been dominating in this series and I would say the most consistent amongst the Suns.

If they wanted to win, Booker, CP3 will need to have a big game because they have a hard time stopping Luka in this series. Almost triple double in this game and with a huge blow out win for them.
2095  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bought some Terra luna for 1.5$ on: May 12, 2022, 03:13:35 AM
@dhru9. You clearly made a very bad decision. You should wait if UST returns to $1.00 peg first before gambling on Luna. What is happening presently with the Luna ecosystem is the holders of UST are burning UST for Luna tokens and they dump them on the market. This will not stop until the peg returns.

True, we don't know, maybe Binance has halt it already because of the current status of UST or this is some glitches and blips along the way.

Nevertheless, it is not a good idea to invest on everything that that Terra Luna on it. The way it has affected the market in the last couple of days, they might be pulling a rug pull here.
2096  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Celtics vs Bucks 2nd round Series. on: May 12, 2022, 02:29:12 AM

The Boston Celtics are slowly gaining the lead. 47-38 Celtics as of I'm typing this.

Odds for the Milwaukee Bucks are now boosting to around @2.8 - @3. Handicap though still the same.

Damn, I was tempted. If I will observe more, I might didn't get that good odds. Better to decide right now and face the risk and consequences lol.

Bucks won 110-107, so the series is now on the Bucks favor 3-2.

Boston though has led almost the whole game but they have a melted in the last 3-4 minutes. And it looks like the Bucks are going to finished this series out at their home court the next game. It's going to be crazy at Fiserv and I'm expecting that Giannis will put another monster game, maybe another 40 point performance to advance.
2097  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: May 12, 2022, 01:50:48 AM
That was just a heartbreaking loss for the Boston Celtics since they were up to 10+ points in the 4th quarter but they can't stop the 100% threes of the Milwaukee Bucks in the 4th quarter which dramatically cut the lead and in the last minutes, it was really a playoff game that we were excited about, the pressure, the excitement and the intelligent play in gathered there. Giannis is bloody but still managed to score big time and finally, it was Jrue Holiday again who play well both offense and defense were impressive and he just shut down the entire Celtics in their homecourt.

How the hell did Celtics lost that game? I mean with 4 minutes left they are still in front like 6 points and lost by 3?

I went out thinking that the Celtics has this one in the bag, homecourt advantage, plus a good lead and it seems that the Bucks are crumbling under pressure. But when I come back to see the score, was surprised of the turn of event. So yeah this is a heartbreaking lost and I don't know if they can recover from it.
2098  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Mark Magsayo vs Rey Vargas WBC Featherweight Title (July 9) on: May 12, 2022, 12:39:11 AM
He did get an attention based on this two last fights, a come from behind win against Ceja by KO and then he beat one of the longest reigning champion in this division, Russell Jr. But still he doesn't have that recognition that he deserves. Maybe if he can win via knock out here or maybe this fight turns out to be a brawl and Magsayo winning in the scorecard, maybe he will get the respect of the US audience just like what Pacman did years ago.

Slowly but surely Magsayo will get there.

What he just needs to do is to continue winning like what Pacquiao did.

He also needs to be humble like Manny, unlike another Filipino boxer who is so arrogant that it causes his downtrend.

And if I'm not mistaken, he is under Freddie Roach, the same guy that guide Manny to stardom. So he is in good hands and hopefully he will become one of the best Filipino boxers post Manny Pacquiao.
2099  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA _ Phoenix Suns vs Dallas Mavericks - 2nd round on: May 11, 2022, 07:26:52 AM
It's looking like a blowout for the Suns right now and even +6.5 for Mavs might not cover it. I didn't expect the home team to pull away in the third quarter and I'm pretty sure they will protect this lead until the end. What's even more dangerous for the Mavs is CP3 not taking many shots so far but with eight assists already.

I also thought the Mavs would able to sustain the lead and Suns lead closer to just how much was the point spread, but a sudden Suns burst in the 3rd quarter that lets the deficit ballooned into 15 points.
This series might end on game 6, but It would be better If we can see a tight game 7 between these 2 teams.

Yeah, the Suns went on a run on the 3rd quarter 10-0 run and that was enough to sustain their lead and never look back.

Of course we would love to see a game 7, but the Suns doesn't want to give the Mavs the momentum and if given the chance, will love to close out the series next game. I'm expecting a very competitive game 6.
2100  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: May 11, 2022, 03:08:17 AM
^^ Just a matter of time before the Heat find a way to stop Joel Embiid in their series.
And now they have dominated the Sixers and won huge with Jimmy Butler leading again. All of the Heat players scored in this game specially in the clean up minutes. Now up to 3-2, I seeing that the Heat are going to close this series next game. But it will not be like this, it will be close I reckon.
