Funny I was starting to think the same thing
Especially after the blackmail comment
2082  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: August 11, 2013, 11:05:46 PM
as i said in early posts, im pissed about the delay as well.
I have faith in terrahash, yifu on the other hand...

anyways at a discount i can see roi even with the delay as long as there is no outright scamming...
im trusting, but im not stupid
if there is any more delays there will be no roi
2083  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: August 11, 2013, 10:43:46 PM
well if you are so worried about losing your money, I will consider buying your investment off you for say %50 i should still make some roi at .25btc/ gigahash

that is if amir will help me with the switch
2084  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: August 11, 2013, 10:39:45 PM
Let's face it, there's nothing Terrahash can say to make you believe any of this.  Short of him coming over to your house and shoving a case up your arse, (with or without chips), you'll be back here multiple times a day complaining he hasn't delivered a product that he can't possibly deliver until he gets THE GODDAMN CHIPS FROM AVALON!

LOL,

You are wasting your time. Kkooks is about as receptive to reason as a brain dead monkey.

We have only ordered components that were either absolutely necessary for assembly (BOM components) or ones that had a big lead time (Cases, heat sinks, cables). Boards and PSUs, once ordered, can be delivered within 24-48 hours. The reason we did not spend money on these is, in case Avalon chips never show up, we would be able to refund some of our customers money.

1. PSUs: Can be delivered within 48 hours, after we get the chips. We could have ordered them right now, and they could have sat here idly while we wait on the chips, or a huge waste of money in case the chips never arrive.
A PO without delivery dates? This isnt kindergarten. Give us a date! We paid you to build our orders cept you are not spending the money to get it done. Wait wasnt that the reason why you changed your story on the refund deal? You told us you spent the monies already? WTF

2. Cases: 3-4 weeks lead time. Will be here early next week. We could have rushed the delivery by paying extra, but for what?
That is fine... give us a date. This is an item that seems like is being delayed indefinitely. Give us a date stick to it and let us know when completed

3. PCBs: 1-2 day lead time. We could have ordered these as well, but again, for what? For the chips that may never arrive?
So you lied that you had them? Wait wasnt that the reason why you changed your story on the refund deal? You told us you spent the monies already? WTF

4. BOM components: They are ALL here. You can come count them. I'll post pics later.
You said the same thing for many of the aforementioned items. When will you post the pictures?

5. Chips: We have ordered 40,000 chips DIRECTLY from Avalon. The additional 30,000 chips that we mentioned, are totally separate from our own 40,000. We still haven't decided whether to pull the plug on those 30,000.
This is fine-- and frankly very relieving to hear. Please dont change your story again.

I thought the PICs are still on order? Thing is though, how did they know the chips weren't coming two weeks ago in order to not yet order the parts? Because had things gone as we all expected them to, you would be shipping out units early this week, i.e., tomorrow, Tuesday, Wednesday, etc. Cause we were all going to have our orders by Aug. 15.
because unless bitsyncom decided to ship all the chips at once terrahash had 4 weeks from zephirs first delivery to get everything together
2086  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: August 11, 2013, 10:28:19 PM
also bitsyncom could send terrahash its chips by then of the week and still be in the 10 week lead period...... not that i dont feel bad for all the people who bought from bitsyncom in april and early may, but its not even a legal issue for terrahash until next week
2087  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: August 11, 2013, 09:14:32 PM
lets look at this clearly

Terrahash has some things on order or set up to order as soon as chips make an appearance                         so they say
Terrahash didnt continue allowing preorders after they filled all the orders they think they can
produce after 2 weeks of chip delivery                                                                                                   check
Terrahash has let us see their office and has shown pictures of their boards hashing                                      check
Terrahash has donated a sizable chunk of money to BKK coins for developing the  boards                                check

Terrahash has not shown every invoice order form or receipt ..... iow is not allowing a public audit....                duh
terrahash has not received the chips and therefore is not in breach of any contract.....                                  check
terrahash hasnt told us which batch we are in                                                                                         just guess no ROI anymore
                                                                                                                                                      anyways
we are all losing money and are grumpy.....                                                                                             check
everything we write in here is speculation with very little proof                                                                   check
Bitcoin is an imature and exciting environment                                                                                          check

im gonna get called a bootlicker for writing this                                                                                        suck it
Actually I think you summed it up very well regarding us and terrahash Smiley yifu is another topic

...... yifu.......... grrrr..... funny though i almost hope hes getting blackmailed into sending chips to other people, because if he is pulling a Josh and just being an ass for profit........ grrrr....... Yifu....

at this point youd have to be saying $5 and 1 watt per GH to get me to even go to a preorder site
2090  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: August 11, 2013, 07:58:10 PM
Terrahash may want to consider sticking with 20,000 Gen1 chips and defer the purchase of another 20,000 chips unless they can get their hands on the Gen1 chips within the next two weeks.

If the 55 nm chips are 4-5 times faster and use less power then the 110 nm chips, I maybe willing to wait until October or November for my order if it was upgraded to Gen2 chips. It sounds like there is a good chance Gen2 chips will work with the K16 with little to no modification.

Perhaps Avalon and Terrahash can offer Gen1 purchasers the opportunity to switch their order to Gen2 chips at no extra charge...

Of course, this all assumes that Avalon can actually ship Gen2 chips in bulk by mid October, which is highly unlikely given their current track record.

Why would you even consider Avalon over Bitfury for 55nm chips?!

Because Terrahash already has parts to assemble klondike miners. You can't put BitFury chips on a klondike board.

uh... where were u all week? Terrahash confessed to not have ANYTHING in place...

thats a huge misrepresentation of what they said

BOYCOTT AVALON

Demand Refunds Now

Just the Facts

1. Many of the community have invested in these chips at a time when AVALON had elevated themselves into arguably the top slot for BTC mining equipment. So far they have delivered 1 batch of chips to their "western" customer base and they were some 4 weeks overdue.

2. Their "No Bullshit" terms of sale have not been followed; sample/developer chips provided 4 weeks after payment of order didnt happen. Shipping of chips 9-10 weeks after payment didnt happen. They are clearly in violation of their own terms of sale and therefore must offer a full refund to those purchasers requesting such.

3. Whatever you have been told, their statement "No refunds" does not waive our statutory rights as consumers. I am a large shareholder in a group buy who have already requested a refund and have not received any reply. This is simply not acceptable from a company who has taken $millions of our money. Our group has realised that this 6+ week in delay and counting has effectively made the chips worthless to us.

4. If the majority of shareholders in group buys decide that they will be wasting more money for fabrication costs and having no chance of seeing a ROI, then perhaps, its time to demand a full REFUND from BitSyncom,  after all there are other companies which can likely deliver sooner and represent a more favourable investment.

5. I would urge all batch leaders to poll your group buy members and find out what THEY want, if a large number of group buy leaders request a refund, there will have to start addressing the issue. BitSyncom need to understand that they need to open up channels of communication and address this serious issue which affects hundreds if not thousands of consumers.

6. If this situation continues for much longer, the chips will not be worth their initial cost + development cost.

7. If you have any information about BitSyncom, full personal details, addresses (for legal communication), telephone numbers and e-mail addresses, Links to their personal media pages, personal future appointments at events (dates and locations), any info which will help to make contact, please post it on this thread.

dont take this the wrong way vigil,
but could you please keep the avalon bashing/ bitsyncom/ yifu tar and feathering to the avalon sites?

not that i am a fan... in fact i am also pissed as hell,
but even if there was to be a refund we would all be fooked at this point.

i know its difficult, and im having a hard time not ranting as im asking you to restrain yourself, but it would be nice if we could keep this forum on track with news and terrahash bashing =P
2092  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [POLL/VOTE] What should Avalon do with our past due orders? on: August 10, 2013, 11:02:42 PM
I hope everyone gets refunded ... even better would be for yifu to show how much he cares about the btc community and to use all those extra chips to create k1's and to sell them at cost to people interested in entering into the mining world.
truth is 80000 k1's in 80000 new peoples hands would do more for the price of btc then any of these start up asic communities will ever do

seriously? more chips mined equals higher btc price?
and avalon has their own boards. k1 are open source project. (avalons boards are also open source).

no what i meant was the more people there are mining, the more interest there is in bitcoins, the higher the price of bitcoins
basically sell  block erupters that will have almost no roi to people just opening up wallets to strengthen the network as well as get more people interested in btc.....

or better yet give them to people in third world countries with computer access and call it a donation for non profit
2093  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Will You believe YIFU will ship out All the Avalon Chips by end of next week? on: August 10, 2013, 10:56:10 PM
batch 3 has been shipped, so my guess is that they will be shipped late next week

2095  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin could bring about smaller governments - and that is a good thing on: August 10, 2013, 09:55:17 PM
I would like to see not just reduced government influence, but governments that cover smaller jurisdictions. I'd like to be able to know all my fellow citizens personally, or at least know them to say hello. That would be a very convincing way of producing societies where people really do behave responsibly and accountably. People need to be able to look their peers in the eyes, to know that everyone is truly depending on everyone else.

So, not just "smaller" in terms of influence, but smaller in the number of people they influence too. Almost every country in the world is vastly bloated when looked at this way.
