2081  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Buying Bitcoins in Canada. 100+ BTC. Trusted sellers only. on: July 05, 2015, 09:07:43 PM
I can help you out, yes... but it seems that you were quite inactive here and you cannot sign a message to prove that you are the original owner of your account because you never posted a single address...
Do you have any rep on any other site I can refer to?
2082  Economy / Digital goods / Re: need 5, 10$ btc for amazon gc or other gc on: July 05, 2015, 08:36:25 PM
I can sell you one for 5$.
I believe that he is LOOKING to purchase bitcoins with his gift cards.
2083  Economy / Services / Re: [FULL] Bit★Starz.com June Signature Campaign – up to 0.12 BTC and more per month on: July 05, 2015, 08:24:21 PM
Hey guys,

We're here Smiley Waiting for Neotox to be honest to get the list to be paid out.

If I don't get on the next 3/4 hours, I'll pay everyone myself.

@monbux, no worries mate, keep the money on escrow there.

Cheers!
Nick
Hey Nick, thanks for appearing!  Could you please address the fact that neotox seems to have many alt accounts registered in this campaign?  Check the post on the previous page.
2084  Economy / Services / Re: [FULL] Bit★Starz.com June Signature Campaign – up to 0.12 BTC and more per month on: July 05, 2015, 07:37:35 PM
Please note that I am currently holding onto a little over ~2 BTC for this campaign, but I will not be sending the monthly payments.  Instead, the funds will be sent from bitstarz themselves (I believe).  The funds in escrow will be used to payout in case there was a problem with the original payment method.

Why don't they just let Neotox send the payments and you keep hold of the 2btc as a bond? No need for these delays really and this is the problem what happens when you have too many people involved in a signature campaign.
They obviously do not trust Neotox enough to allow him to hold 2 BTC to pay out the participants. I would assume that monbux is charging less in exchange for not having to pay everyone personally.
I personally do NOT charge any fees for holding onto the bitcoin.  I've been tipped every month, though. Smiley
I've also messaged Bitstarz via gmail, but it seems that they were inactive there as well!  If they do not respond after a couple of days I will try to manage the payments myself (if this were the case, Carra23 has already kindly volunteered to help out).

Cheers

thats great, ty for your work.

btw can you confirm that i was with the signature campaign till today? because i cant w8 forever and i want to join into another campaign ( if this one dont continue )
Confirmed.  And confirmed that you are eligible for full payout.

Please note guys, carra23 and I will be verifying users ourselves if bitstarz does not respond by tomorrow.
I will then send payout to users who are eligible for payout, probably tomorrow evening (EST) or the next morning.
2085  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 05, 2015, 07:31:29 PM
Let's try to stabilize at over $270 now.  The price is increasing at around $1/min, which seems better than $10 a min haha.  Just because it's rising slowly doesn't mean that there couldn't be a sudden dump, though.
2086  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: WTS BTC for PayPal $10 on: July 05, 2015, 07:28:08 PM
I can help you out but only have CAD at the moment.  So either you cover the conversion fees or you have to take the CAD :-/

PM me if interested.
2087  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 05, 2015, 07:13:36 PM
Even the 1 month graph is showing a nice steady upwards trend..  But then I made the mistake to click the 1 year chart... Cry  I cri every time.

Honestly for long term bitcoin holders like me, this just seems like a pimp and dump attempt due to the recent news.  Nothing more, really.. Could this really increase the price past our all time high? I seriously doubt it.
2088  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin dropped $10 fast after pump and dump on: July 05, 2015, 07:01:44 PM
its because people putting money into bitcoin upon greece news.I myself believe they should wait for some time to see real influx of money coming from greece and not react to such news spontaneously.
This.  The problem is that it's much easier to make bitcoin drop than it is to make it rise, in my opinion.  If a dumper comes, idk, there might be a possibility that he'll scare the potential buyers away?  People getting excited but it might not have an actual direct effect at all, its currently just the drama making the chart dance.
2089  Other / Archival / Re: Bitcoin price just reach $275 on: July 05, 2015, 06:51:32 PM
Annnnnd it just crashed as quickly as it went up, back to $265.  It seems to be moving closer to $270 though, my hope is that today's close will be over $270.  Not expecting anything too big this week.
2090  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 05, 2015, 06:50:26 PM
Holy shit, from 265 to 275 back to 265 in half an hour?  What's happening, mommy, I'm scared!  Sad
2091  Other / Archival / Re: Bitcoin price just reach $275 on: July 05, 2015, 06:43:51 PM

Yeah i am convinced we are going up higher, i think we are in the stealth phaise quite clearly.  If you look around the only people who are getting excited are those in the know.  This bubble is going to be a huge bastard folks, $3000 target for me.
Maybe not $3000 but It seems that we did pass the $270 mark which means good things in my mind.  Just don't hope that this is an insane pump and dump by someone Wink
2092  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain split of 4 July 2015 on: July 05, 2015, 06:19:24 PM
So what exactly was responsible for this error?

The miners, not all the miners but some of them....

To elaborate this a bit further:

My understanding of the situation is that some miners use a mining technique called SPV mining that relies on the assumption that the rest of the network produces valid blocks to mine a tiny bit faster. Those miners using SPV mining essentially have a few seconds advantage over those that completly verify the block first. What happend is that a big pool using said technique received an "invalid" block, a block version 2. These have recently been declared invalid as over 950 out of 1000 blocks mined are version 3. The pool tried to build the chain on top of the now invalid version 2 block, causing the fork. Because of the way bitcoin works we had two chains competing over which is the correct one. Those running nodes 0.10.x or 0.9.5 would not accept the invalid blocks and those following it, while other nodes would still accept them as valid and thus accept a different chain as the longest and currently valid chain. This resulted in wasted hash power for the miners and confusion as different services and wallets that rely on bitcoin core in the background showed different information / statuses depending on the version of bitcoin core running in said background.

Disclaimer: this attempt of a tl;dr version might be flawed, please correct me if you find any.

maybe... I didn't follow the whole situation.

I'm not very technologically advanced myself when it comes to the blockchain, so I am wondering, how does this affect wallets like the trezor and its webwallet?

it affected the bitcoin blockchain, the various wallets 'validate' the blockchain....

Yes, I understand that it affected the blockchain, I'm just wondering how the webwallet for trezor is affected - what bitcoin core version would that wallet be running off of?  Or would it be the trezor itself that has the blockchain info?  Whichever.

2094  Economy / Services / Re: You want to earn BTC but cant apply for sig. campaign ??? on: July 05, 2015, 06:05:59 PM
lol, that seems very complicated, and will be very hard to maintain.  Why?  When these people are wanting to post, you might not be on, and if you reply with their text after the time they wanted to post, it might seem strange.  Additionally, it'll be very hard to manage as for these people are sharing the same account (yours) and might be posting on the same topics.

But still, good luck Wink

It seems like someone is trying to pump bitcoin up on bitstamp, 0.5 BTC per trade increasing by $0.02 each order.
