What about unpaid days off?
You just kick off people from company, without even saying so?

Wow, wow. This is so Epic. I haven’t seen this in my whole life.

Dejan,

What are you talking about bud? Unpaid days off? Kick people out?

I have no idea what you are talking about. So let's start from the beginning.

I sent you and email, I never got a response. I just bought it up, and you did not respond to it again. I can not help if I do not have the information to help.

So please explain what you mean and I will work to address it.

It does to me.

Look bud, let's be professionals.

I sent you an email a few days ago and got no response. Yet somehow, the first email I get from you are full of threats.

Let's start again, from the beginning. What terms are you asking for?

You replied yesterday. I was visiting familly and out of town. In the meantime my email and all other accounts were locked.

There are no more terms, i am not coming back, this actions from today just confirm how immoral and full of lies this company is.

If you want me to leave quite i just want compensation for 2 unpaid weeks, and for two more weeks while i am looking for new job.

This is just unbelievable.

They were noticed, my email was sent well before your account was suspended.

Your account was suspended because many email accounts have been breached in the company. Any accounts that were potentially breached where suspended.

So tell me, how does turning off accounts that we're breached confirm how immoral the company is?

I just have hard time to beleive that my emai and slackl was locked because of breach.

After my email was locked i contacted Jonah on Slack, and told him that my email was locked,
and if we have to discuss anything else to email me on my personal email. What he did not do. Instead my slack account was locked.

Overall, because of big changes in company i wanted to negotitate my employment status and salary. Instead i was kicked without any notice.

So please tell me how immoral those actions are? And how should i feel about it?

Did you ever consider it was just a misunderstanding?

A professional emails someone and says "hey, it seems like there is some thing wrong with my email. Can you tell me what happened?" Rather than an the email you sent?

You worked hard for us. We also paid you for that work. Apprerntly Joe agreed to help you get a visa, and never did anything with it or ask for our help. Had he, because of the great work you did, I would have hired someone to do this for you.

Your a smart guy, so use some basic logic. Why would I send you an email, complimenting your services, asking you for you to name some terms, to only lock you out the next day? How does that even make sense?

My intentions were to obviously preserve our working relationship, which is why I reached out to begin with. We waited for you to get back home for a few weeks, you don't think we would have waited a few more days?

How should you feel? This could have been handled batter. You reacted quickly and emotionally, this whole misunderstanding could have been avoided. We have made our fair share of them too, so i get what it means to make an emotional mistake.

I am willing to chalk this up as a misunderstanding. I am even willing to listen to your terms and talk to you about trying to help with a visa (if your interested). From everything I have been told, you have a lot of talent.

We have a plan that will out us back on track and squash the negativity out there. We could use your help to make it happen.

Hey:

Hope you're having a good day. I sent you an email about responding to these questions in anticipation of an 11am call tomorrow. Would be great, as I alluded to earlier, to respond to each question and then I'll respond to your responses...question, play devil's advocate. If you need more time, I can let Kate know and we can try pushing it back to a later time in the day.

Please let me know, soonest, as I'll be out of touch from about 6:30 until tomorrow morning, when I'll be headed to CT. (Nikki's internet and phone will be installed tomorrow so I'll have service when I'm there going forward). I also suggested that you and I are in the same room...perhaps the conference room, while this is taking place.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Hey! Thanks for writing me! So I am interested in what's going on with GAW and Paycoin. I have seen that people are upset about how things are playing out, so I'm hoping you can address what is going on:

1) There are claims that Paycoin reneged on a promise for a $20 floor, as I'm sure you know. I am looking for clarity here: Did anyone acting as a representative for GAW explicitly make this promise?

2) Can you offer insight about why this controversy happened- is it a misconception in the community? (I have read this post: https://blog.paybase.com/paycoin-and-the-20-base-an-overview/) but I am more interested in what GAW is doing *currently* to get the coin price up, and whether GAW still plans on fulfilling that goal.

3) This is what Josh is quoted as saying in an article on Coinbase:

“I always said two things. We would buy paycoins at $20, or we would use our resources to manage to $20. They both mean the same thing. We will do everything in our power to make the price $20. And that's what we are doing.”

Is that an accurate quote?

4) Are you being investigated by the SEC? If so, for what?

5) What do you think some of the biggest misunderstandings/untruths floating around about GAW and Paycoin are?

6) Can you reveal any upcoming partnerships? With Amazon or other retailers/merchants? Or if you can't reveal specific partnerships, can you talk about what GAW is doing to pursue partnerships?

7) What are some POSITIVE things happening with Paycoin right now?

I have other questions but these are the most pressing right now, I think. Thanks!

The company is currently actively seeking merchant partners, working with a development team on a roadmap which will solidify the development of PayCoin as laid out in the whitepaper. There are new stores and services coming online and being actively built which will increase the usability of PayCoin and we have not forgotten our core vision in developing PayCoin.

Everyone operating in the crypto space is under inquiry, investigation, whatever the term of the day is. We have no reason to believe we are any different.

5) What do you think some of the biggest misunderstandings/untruths floating around about GAW and Paycoin are?

The concept that PayCoin would built 100% and launched as a massive decentralized network and version 1.0 coin on day 1. This was never planned and has never happened with a coin. Crypto's launch and take time to get the public running nodes and gain a decent autonomy from the creator. That timeframe is the reason why things like prime controller bidding were not put into the coin and not planned for 6 months.

"Test Node" coins. The prime controller used on the live net to test the variable staking system was not a "test node" it was an actual prime controller. Everything passed on the test net and then we moved that code over to a single prime node on the live net in coordination with our coin developers to ensure the fix worked correctly. The coins from that node were eventually destroyed.

6) Can you reveal any upcoming partnerships? With Amazon or other retailers/merchants? Or if you can't reveal specific partnerships, can you talk about what GAW is doing to pursue partnerships?

As we have learned from our past we cannot discuss upcoming partnerships or name any partners. We have a team who spends all day every day working on partnerships with retailers, crypto service providers and merchants to grow PayCoin adoption.

7) What are some POSITIVE things happening with Paycoin right now?

We are working on a revamped roadmap and a set of developers to get the coin development restarted and bring some new and existing features to life in the coin.

Everyone operating in the crypto space is under inquiry, investigation, whatever the term of the day is. We have no reason to believe we are any different and are happy to comply with SEC.

5) What do you think some of the biggest misunderstandings/untruths floating around about GAW and Paycoin are?

The concept that PayCoin would built 100% and launched as a massive decentralized network and version 1.0 coin on day 1. This was never planned and has never happened with a coin, ever. Cryptocurrencies launch and they take time to get the public running nodes and gain a decent autonomy from the creator. That timeframe is the reason why things like prime controller bidding were not put into the coin and not planned for 6 months. That said, we are on track in creating value for PayCoin.

With regard to "Test Node" coins.

Re: Reminder: BitGo Notice of Account Termination
Feb 17Will O'Brien
Hello GAW team

We see that there is still a small amount of BTC remaining in your BitGo wallets. Can you please move that final amount today? As of tomorrow we will be freezing these wallets in our online software and you will need to use our offline recovery tool and your two private keys to initiate any other transactions. Please note that since we do not hold your BTC, we have no way of transacting on your behalf. Your BTC is secured on the blockchain and you may use our online wallet software to transact until tomorrow, after which you will need to use our offline recovery tool.

Thanks,
-Will

 PayCoin/GAW Article.
Feb 27Scott Fargo
HI David,
I just wanted to let you know Josh was able to talk about the issues that were brought up in the article.

In the last few days leading up to this article more information has been publicly released and things have happened from PayBase and TeamXPY and none of that was mentioned.

There are things promised that are actually happening. I have in my possession the emails confirming they have struck the deal with MasterCard. Despite coinfire who again called Master Card to ask about a partnership that was not announced they have a deal with a processor as it normally goes to provide debit cards to their customers.

The reason am writing this is because good or bad news it does not matter I take a ton of crap. I cannot even use reddit anymore due to the crap storm from the PayCoin/GAW stuff. I covered their news good and bad since they started their business. This negatively effects me even more when a one sided article like this comes out. I can and will connect writers with Josh or anyone in the Mining industry be it cloud or physical. I would have made sure Josh responded to Paul's request for a comment.

I have not published anything on PayCoin/GAW anywhere to try and weather this storm. I have slowed down my writing to the point I just got the lowest payment since I started CCN because I am so frustrated with all the harassment I get. I was literally cyber bullied out of the funds that were donated to me by the community to pay my medical bills putting me in a very difficult financial situation.

Paul is a writer I respect very much and consider him a friend I am not bashing him here. I just think we need to stay neutral in this we cannot swing to negative just to placate these few people.

I have learned the hard way they do not care about any of us what we do or do not do. They have their own agenda to destroy Josh and his company no matter the people the have to hurt to do so.

I included Josh in this email because I wanted you both to know how I feel. This has ruined me and my family financially. It has shaken my self confidence as a writer.
My point is we need to stay neutral here we need to cover both sides or not at all. I will get any info I can from Josh to give you as proof. I will copy you David on the Master Card emails like I did the Gyft information if you want and Josh is ok with me sending them

This whole situation has messed me up badly. I was sitting here writing about the BitFury 28nm release when I started getting msgs about the article getting blamed by one side for not bashing GAW enough (despite it not being my article) and the other side wondering why CCN would only print the negative side.

I am sorry for this wall of text to both of you but I have had my entire life directly affected by this.
Please let me know what I can do here to help??

I want to reiterate as well that I am not nor have I been paid by Josh. People seem to throw that out there anytime I do anything.

As a note David I will have my BitFury article ready in a couple hours.

Thank you for the opportunity to be part of the CCN team and thank you Josh for taking the time to contact me inside details for verification on things you announce.

Thank you,
Scott

Thank you Scott, and I can confirm the same things. You are a man of integrity.

We did find it ironic that CCN rushed out to write and entire story about a credit processor (stripe) that is had no real facts about, yet did not write an article about gyft, even though it had the evidence.

Then to read this article, also without any attempt to collect any real facts. Who writes an article about a companies programs and does not contact them? Even coinfire contacts us before they write their garbage.

I am not sure asking for a quote after the damage is done, is an ethical way of handling things.

The appropriate way to handle this is to write another piece and take ownership of the fact they we were never asked for our plans. Then report on our plans, so the facts are actually delivered.

I hope the right thing happens.

Josh

This is a bit challenging as we are not ready to show them all. I guess the point is more that had they contacted us, we could have given them a high level plan which would have debunked the entire article.

In essence, the article that is there is very false as it missing facts.

Hi David and Josh,
Let me think a bit on how best to address this. I do think David you are right an article with the proof and info is a good idea.
That being said Josh I know you have things you cannot talk about yet.
Let me think of a way to present what you can release publicly and also maybe get Team PayCoin involved.
If we can present a balanced article I feel it would be a good thing.
Give me a couple days. I am so beaten down by all of this I do not want to make any mistakes.

Thank you both for reading my concerns last night. This has been very stressful for me.

The law firm will not respond. Any correspondent with any basic knowledge of the US legal system let would know that. Further, if the correspondent did make contact, the firm's representatives would have directed the correspondent to the client for comment. Seems that didn't happen here.

Most correspondents know that there is this called client confidentiality. This is just shabby and irresponsible reporting. Suffice it to say, we will not acknowledge or work with any media outlet that continues along these lines; we will not "...be forthcoming at all" and will only work with outlets that have proven to be fair, balanced and responsible.

The entire category is being "investigated" by the SEC. CNN's Martin Spurlock did an hour long piece last Sunday on Bitcoin. A rep from the SEC was a part of that segment. Paraphrasing the SEC Rep, "Bitcoin / Cryptocurrency is here to stay and as such, we need to take a look at it."

Taking statements out of context and using them for gain of eyesballs seems the SOP among many publications in this category. Perhaps the only thing of value in this piece is the fact that their are a lot of crazy things that are and will happen in this emerging category to which was alluded to in this thread...quite eloquently I might ad.

When the reporters see a lot of activity somewhere, they want to report it to drive traffic to their own articles. Sorry to see that you take a hit for it, but that's the way it is sometimes. However, false statements and facts should not be posted and if they are, will be removed by me or editors as soon as we find out.

The article is now:

The North American Bitcoin Conference scheduled for January 16-18 in Miami is partially sponsored by the controversial company Paybase. Full Disclosure: Paybase also advertises with Cryptocoins News website.

In a Reddit post appearing today, the event organizer, Moe Levin explained to some of the angry Reddit posters that the sponsorship of the event would go on as planned. The center of controversy for many reddit posters circled around the CEO of GAW Miners operation- Josh Garza.

The view of Miami Conference organizers remains neutral - as it probably should. It is probably reasonable to acknowledge that one can count the age of the oldest bitcoin companies on one hand. Judges, juries, regulators and security agencies are still trying to understand what separates good promising bitcoin companies from bad ones when the entire business models have upended everything they've ever dealt with. Most state-sponsored government agencies around the world refuse to give anybody in the blockchain industry even a look. It's probably unrealistic to expect smaller event organizers with limited resources to make those draconian decisions for us. Is it possible that the angry Reddit visitors have a point? Are Josh's statements and his grand plans believable?

Does it really matter?

This conference can not take place in many parts of the world because of the limits to free speech. In those areas, one political party decides the message and having a currency that can't be entirely controlled by themselves, can't be fathomed. Having the option to contemplate two sides of issues represents liberty. It is the currency of freedom and democracy. Bitcoin is unique because it allows for such transparency itself.

Bitcoin inherently resists censorship. Bitcoin thrives because it is neutral and independent. It's logical that a conference promoter for businesses built on the foundation of bitcoin would also champion the core qualities of bitcoin itself. We bring honor to bitcoin by allowing those who we may disagree with personally to have their voice heard.

What would the critics on Reddit think if a different country or religious leader demanded removal of the sponsorships and speaking engagements? One might predict that they would likely be up in arms with such censorship. Taking the thought experiment further: what if we allowed Reddit bitcoin bloggers and visitors to provide final clearance for our conference speaking engagements beforehand? This way we could hear only the truly useful or worthwhile according to the opinions of /r/bitcoin subreddit. We can remove any controversies and expel any dangerous thoughts or experiments that dare innovate beyond our imaginations. Centralized government departments function this way. A few 'insiders' decide themselves what is good for everybody else because they believe they always know what is best.

If Josh can "tickle the ears" of new customers and cast his spell that convinces new clients to send their hard earned money his way – that will be his right. Others can cringe and complain, and they too have the perfect right to stand up and give their opinion and wisdom to convince them the other way. Exposing these inner workings allows people to develop deeper understanding of “WHY” something could be harmful or dangerous. People might benefit from being informed rather than having somebody already deciding for them what is valuable or not. Truth tends to float to the top over time. In the meantime, some people will suffer from greed and human frailties that insist they lose money. Just when you make something idiotproof, they make a better idiot.

[divider]CCN[/divider]

Bitcoin is a massive paradigm changing technology, and it is expected to be controversial as it should. These little controversies are likely just the tip of the iceberg that may go on another 50 years of the world changing the disruption. We might as well get used to it. Bring on the challenges, the disagreements, and the different points of view that will challenge entire governments one day. Perhaps it will do us good to let it all air out at the conference.

Perhaps it is time to break out a big bag of popcorn and enjoy these warm-up fights. These are small time events compared to the rock hard sweeping challenges that fate seems destined to hurl at us in the paradigm change that will likely disrupt almost everything.

This is the second libelous article your publication has released in 24 hours! The conference just emailed me and we are considering filing a joint lawsuit.

Not only did they make claims about us. They said this about them:

"In their view, Josh has been less-than-honest with the bitcoin community with his company dealings, and they smell another scam coming that would re-tarnish the digital currency brand. They’ve taken it upon themselves the duty of crowd-sourced self-policing in the bitcoin space."

This completely made up and needs to be immediately removed!

Jonas, I really like you, but you need to get your arms around this. It's going to create a liability for you

Yeah that's why their time, effort and money should be directed to Bitcoin. Homero can go rot in hell though.

So they can battle politics, infighting, competing philosophies and all of Bitcoin's other voluminous baggage, right? Sounds fun.

Sure buddy go back to your Litecoin

Pretty talented team, sad it's being wasted on a shitcoin.
I think it's a good idea to get more people into crypto(bitcoin). I don't think this coin itself will last long though. But you never know. They already delivered more then paycoin their first week out.

Brian Armstrong must have come to this conclusion after watching this interview with an altcoin developer:

That was a great interview

"Ripple, Stellar, and Altcoins are all a distraction. Bitcoin is way too far ahead. We should be focused on bitcoin and sidechains"

Seems he is a bitcoin maximalist!

If ripple distribution was better then it would not be in as bad shape as it is that is the only reason i would not buy into it, stellar is a good coin and good dev team better distribution and i think will have some big things happen in the future. All in all there are to many good altcoins to mention i would never say never about the top dog being knocked down a peg Shocked

None of those are decentralized, they're coins made for banks. Don't fall for it.

With Coinbase's attitude, they're gonna get replaced by another exchange that understands Bitcoin is just as alternative a currency as any other altcoin, as the dominant currencies are FIAT(USD, EURO, etc).

Let's face the reality. Most "good" altcoin devs want to have a place in history, they want to make money, and they want to leave an impact on the world, and they can't do that through sidechains. Not to mention the huge economy based on other cryptocurrencie besides bitcoin, quite similar to stocks. Do you actually believe that they would give up on profitable trading for the sake of Bitcoin development? I think not. Bitcoin has flaws, and some people are out there to improve upon them down to the protocol level(Which is impossible to do with sidechains).

Good Luck Coinbase CEO, with that attitude I'm positive your exchange will not be the dominant one in the future.

If only for the sake of them wanting to have a place in history, and trying to do so by reinventing Satoshi's wheel, then I am going to have to go with Bitcoin and Sidechains.

Satoshi was smart enough to not let people know who he was so that everyone can remember than Bitcoin was not just about him being rich and famous (I'm pretty sure he's rich, and will be famous when he comes out after Bitcoin possibly becoming the status quo - at least he still had the patience to wait and test the waters).

Furthermore, making a Sidechain that solves or adds value is another way to have a place in history. To argue otherwise would be like saying all of IBMs achievements belong to Alan Turing. Yeah, IBM owes its success to the giants that shouldered them, but let's not be naive.

I am not for or against alt coins, but I am for utilizing cooperation. I think sidechains could do this.

There have been other digital "currencies" before Bitcoin, so Satoshi essentially reinvented the wheel as well. In fact, every invention that came after the discovery of fire and the making of the wheel, is what we deem "reinventing the wheel", as we base and grow inventions based upon what others invented in the past.

None were decentralized.
