2082  Other / Off-topic / Re: How to speedup your connection? on: November 20, 2015, 12:40:58 PM
http://www.speedtest.net/ shows my download speed is 10Mbps (I am paying for 21Mbps)
Still when I download torrents maximum I can get is 1Mbps and averge is like 0.4Mbps
Same happens with my upload speed.

I have tested that firewall is not my problem, also I have heard other people get much faster download speeds for same torrents so it isn't lack of seeders. I also have all speed limits set to unlimited.

Anyone know how to speed that up?

(Disclaimer, I only download legal torrents Cheesy)

We'll be doing a routine seed change soon for security reasons. Next time you place a bet you may be asked to set a new client seed.
So I take it having the outcome of my long running 9900x altered is something I'm just supposed to take with a smile?

I'm 99.9% sure this was not done to screw with your 9900x bets. This is done for security purposes I promise you
It does not change the fact that the outcome of my game has been altered and that I will not be compensated for the alteration. Unless they specifically doctor my new seed such that my rolls from win are equal to the current rolls from win, this is decidedly unfair. I most certainly have not even started doing the run if I had any indication this would happen.

So we're clear, we've done this a few times in the past and when it occurs a modal will appear that will ask you to set a brand new client seed. The odds of the game are not changing. This will be done either tonight or tomorrow.
The outcome of my game is changed, that fact cannot be denied. I do not disagree that the odds remain the same. I am totally with you there and this could indeed be a blessing in disguise considering the extent of the variance I am currently dealing with. When the seed does get changed and I run verification and notice that my target was 10 rolls away or something, there is no denying that it will leave a bad taste in my mouth. I'm by no means trying to imply that this is being done for nefarious reasons or anything like that. I hope you can understand the feelings of me and others on this subject who undertake high-payout runs slowly over time.

I don't know how this seed thing works but couldn't you just copy your old seed and when it asks you for new seed you just paste your old seed there?

My thoughts are to use Faucets if you can to get started.  Despite what people say you can actually make a decent amount of coin using faucets.  PM me if you want some URLs, I can send them with or without referral link.

The other thoughts are signature campaigns.
You never make any decent amout of money from faucets. Don't be leading people to waste their time.

Sure you can.  If I really tried hard I bet I would be able to earn roughly 10 dollars an hour using faucets.  I would spread referral links out and do them non stop.  10 dollars isn't terrible plus on top of that if the price does soar up you might be making roughly 20 dollars an hour past time.  That isn't and at all.

You can make about 0.01$/hour with faucets.
And usually you get 50% from your ref.
That means you need 2000 referrals that click 12 hours every day, to get 10$/hour.
It is very hard to get that many active referrals.

lol, you get .01/hour with faucets?  You are doing it wrong.  I tried doing faucets the other day for 5 minutes and made 15 cents.  That was without me trying to go fast and do a lot of them, picking and choosing which ones.  You do realize 1 cent is about 3000 satoshi?

You should easily be able to make around 1-2 dollars per hour with a faucet.  Meaning you would need 5-10 referrals to make 10 dollars an hour.

Keep failing at math though.

Most faucets pay 500-1000 satoshi per hour.
Can you show me faucet that pays 0.003btc hour? Or 10 that pay 0.0003btc hour. Or even one that pays 0.0003btc hour?

You should easily, easily be able to do 5 faucets per minute.  So with your logic you should easily be able to make 2500-5000 satoshi per minute.  2500*60 and 5000*60 = 150,000 satoshi-300,000 satoshi per hour, or 1 dollar an hour.  I am lowballing doing 5 faucets per minute as well.

I don't think there is enough faucets to do them nonstop.
Also if you do 300 different faucets you would need to have 300x more referrals too (to gain that amount of ref profit).

I like primedice. but wait for more than 30 minutes with average transaction fee but still no one confirmation. No time to waste on primedice today anymore. I will play tomorrow when it reaches my pd account.

That's an issue we can't help with.

Try adding a larger TX fee next time if blocks are being mined and you aren't having your TX's confirmed.

Why not make it so you can play instantly but you can't withdraw before 1 or 3 confirmations?
