Indeed, there is the same norm for Amazon.com.
Thanks for saving my affiliate account

This work on gift cards?

I dunno. You can try and if I get a credit on my affiliate account for your purchase I'll pay your cut.

Secondo me la tua banca vuole sapere troppe cose.

Since many here seems to be anally-obsessed, we could opt for cerimonial enemas. So the tub girl and goatsee could be our icons.

We are back at 1720ish. And 32 for silver. i say that now they can just go up.

Alternatively we could go for a micronation. We would be in good company:
http://micronations.wikia.com/wiki/List_of_micronations

I suggest an anarchist, virtual one. Due to the crypto-paranoid spirit required to survive more than 15 minutes, we might reckon each other with a secret handshake and/or other signs (a QR?).
2087  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Nefario on: November 05, 2012, 08:06:28 PM
Because shit will go wrong in every business and there's a very high chance in the case of start ups that it will go badly wrong.

...and an even higher chance that any open unregulated BTC exchange will go spectacularly wrong.

2088  Economy / Speculation / Re: my intuition says: we're sitting on a rocket about to be ignited on: November 05, 2012, 06:46:40 PM
BTC will only take off once there is a killer use for it. Either mobile payments or electronic payment on the Internet. Before that, it will remain somewhat of a curiosity.

There several already: drugs, and asset protection (tax evading included). More than enough to back our funny money and then some.

I am instead worried by the attention of the "authorities" (witnessed by the ECB paper): if they are able to cap the world price of gold and silver for decades, just figure what they could pull out to kill BTC.

I suspect that even the weird Nefario's sudden paranoia may be related to it ("they" are probably beaming some mind control ray straight into his skull 24/7 from the black copters).

Zero tolerance to fuckwittery makes for a clean, business-like environment.

+ 1

does anyone actually expect this situation to result in "the right thing"?

The only possible "right thing" outcome is to make an example of him, so that in the future scammers will think twice or thrice before scamming.

What we need is a third and impartial party, who helps to clear up this mess. Call it a escrow or what ever.

Traditionally it's called a liquidator.

It's about time.

Just to know exactly by whom we were scammed Smiley
...and he could probably at least prove at which address he sent BTC and show us his accountancy

do you have any idea how long Willie has been saying this?  his letters are teaming with doom and gloom.  got tired of reading him year after year.

Yes. I am reading him from several years and is always a good fun. No doom and gloom at all if you are a gold/silver bug. If I ever made any money investing is thanks to him, Bob Chapman (R.I.P.), The Mogambo, and a few others of the same kind.

Here is some snippets from this one:
"The hidden motive in the Libyan overthrow of Qaddafi was to steal his 144 tons of gold held in London. The banksters needed it. ...Tiny Ghana demanded its gold return from London, but suddenly its leader showed up dead. ...Germany will be disappointed when it learns the gold is gone."

edit: (lol. disappointed? A raving Hitler would not be enough to express it.)

edit 2: The publication TheStockMarketWatch reported in a post titled RAW VIDEO: ConEd Power Station Explodes In NYC  that the underground vault holding all of Germany’s gold reserves was completely destroyed. The actual source of this BREAKING NEWS FROM DC is The Daily Bail – here’s the quote:
In a hastily convened press conference, Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke announced Monday night that the ConEd explosion in NYC had completely destroyed the underground vault holding all of Germany’s gold reserves, thereby nullifying all recent German attempts at gold repatriation.
The gross value of the loss is $8,259,840,000.00 in today’s spot Gold/oz price of $1,720.80 at Kitco.com
Read all: http://theintelhub.com/2012/10/31/germany-loses-8-2-billion-as-geoengineered-superstorm-covers-heist/

edit 3: It was a spoof. Theintelhub took that seriously.

Ultimately, do we believe that Nefario will release the personal information of these scammers? It would make him more liable.

YES. That must be the real reason why he is not releasing the info. = GLBSE users are screwed big time.

This phenomena can be seen in every scam then on this board.

business gone bad != scam
poor business skills != scam

+1

Not standing by your word, after promising again and again = scam

For whom did not pay attention, the problem with Nefario is that he promised up to the last minute that he did not fear the law "because... Bitcoin", and that's why he did not stay underground like SR nor asked for a qualified opinion in advance like a regular biz. And now he is again promising to clear his mess 4 weeks+ late while keeping hostage the assets of innocent bystanders, which marks a rarely high degree of assholery.
